361  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does the tension make you take risk that are sometimes worth it? on: January 04, 2024, 08:26:39 PM
We all know that gambling sometimes can be fun and something not, even if we  blatantly claim here that we do gamble alone for the fun purpose 🙄🙄. Truth be told majority of person actually gamble because of the possibility that they can earn some profits from the act and as we all know it , not all the time the end result is what we expected. Although am not an addicted gambler but I can say I do my fair share of gambling activities sometimes and what I have observed is that sometimes I actually make some hard calls that turn out to be fruitful when ever am tenced but the results may differ for different individuals though.

So I would like to know your own experience when making or taking risk in gambling under pressure.
gambling under pressure is really unpleasant, our minds really seem to be split in two, we are told to choose what is good for us at that moment, but on average those who lose in gambling are those who gamble under pressure such as pressure to keep winning, pressure to continue gambling, and pressure to return the capital lost at the start.  all high expectations in gambling must be reduced, lest when we have tried as hard as possible to spend time to continue playing and have also tried to spend a lot of money, the end result of our gambling is a loss.  Gambling with money that we can afford to lose is also very good, it lowers your pressure level when gambling.
362  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / bitcoin fees and how we accept its volatility on: January 04, 2024, 06:07:11 PM
greetings to all friends, last December was a pretty bad month for all bitcoin users and also those who actively transact with bitcoin because bitcoin fees were really suffocating, even the highest fee i saw reached $20, this caused a lot of topics to be discussed. discussing this phenomenon, a few minutes ago i accessed the mempool and found that the bitcoin fees listed there were very cheap when compared to last December 2023,

from this it can be concluded that changing bitcoin fees should not be an obstacle to bitcoin adoption.  For those who transact Bitcoin with small amounts, it's a good idea to pay attention to the time because you will definitely find the best time to process your Bitcoin transactions.

363  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The is always on gambling, never the individual. on: January 03, 2024, 11:31:59 PM
The other day someone was talking about how he hates gambling as it nearly ruined his life, and within my mind I was like, no it was not gambling that nearly ruined you it was actually you that tried to ruin your life and that's because you refused to gamble responsibly and discipline yourself by not been capable of differentiating money meant for gambling from money meant for other projects in your life.

Why do people blame gamble for their own act of irresponsibility. No one is talking about their own part in their story of bad experience's with gambling, all we get to hear is gambling is bad and a useless activity. Why?
not only in gambling but in the business world too, many people who lose out blame it that business is bad and not good at all, even though they don't have the expertise to manage their business.  Many gamblers are not aware that their greed is what causes their gambling results to be bad.  Being responsible in gambling is not only about how to manage gambling well but being fully aware that gambling is not an activity that will continue to give you wins, i myself have won several times and lost several times, but i never use money i can't afford to lose to gamble.
364  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How do I succeed as a trader in 2024 on: January 01, 2024, 08:41:21 PM
As we enter the 2024, many people are making plans on how to achieve financial success and personally I have decided that trading will be one of my area of focus. I'm gathering information on how to go about it. Your opinion will be highly appreciated.
Are you someone who can't control your emotions? if yes then before you trade, you have to learn it first, what's the point!! In trading, controlling your emotions is very important because if you trade but still use excessive emotions then you are just gambling.  After that, another thing that you must master is analytical skills, this is the next very important thing, you must master technical analysis and also fundamental analysis in trading, when you master that then be sure everything you do in trading will run smoothly, try that too to create a demo account, the average active trader uses a demo account to test their strategy, also use small capital because you are still a beginner.
365  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Connecting to Public Wifi on: January 01, 2024, 06:24:36 PM
I visit the city here few weeks ago due to my personal medical appointment. I notice that they have public wifi because I’m only allowed to use my Tab as mobile device due to my eye condition.

I just thought playing a little bit gambling while waiting for my appointment but then I realized that online casino has a strict rules about IP sharing. I'm really skeptical to connect because I’m not sure whether someone connected on it that play on same online casino that I’m playing. I don’t want to risk being connected to someone randomly.

I want to get the opinion how casino deal with this kind of situation. If you caught up on this messed up situation, how can you possibly defend yourself to online casino operators?
i've experienced this too, when i'm taking care outside of something and i'm bored, i try to access a gambling site and luckily yesterday on the gambling site where i play there was a notification about accessing from a new IP address, so i immediately chatted with customer service and got the answer is that as long as it is not accessed via VPN then playing with a new IP address is not a problem.  Therefore, i suggest that you only use one IP (from your smartphone only) to access online gambling sites, currently using smartphones to gamble is very common and easy.
366  Economy / Economics / Re: Wealthy people want profit without much of liabilities so you should follow them on: January 01, 2024, 06:13:17 PM
The mindset of rich people who are successful from zero is truly extraordinary, they are able to take advantage of every opportunity that exists and also see the risks of every decision they take down to the very details.  Liability assets such as luxury cars, luxury motorbikes, expensive watches will not make them easily tempted, even if they waste their money on going to nightclubs or other glamorous lives, it feels like it's hard for them to do.  having investment assets that provide long-term profits, active profits and passive profits are also important, now I have started to try to get them as quickly as possible, who knows the future, only great people prepare themselves for the worst in the future.
367  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you believe in gambling experts predictions? on: January 01, 2024, 05:37:33 PM
A gambling expert brought i and some friends a guaranteed predicted game and asked us to stake a a high amount so that we winning could be huge and so we can give him a percentage of the money at winning.

I don't believe there could be a 100% guaranteed game but yet my friends who are eager to make profits in the gambling accepted to play the gamed as instructed and at the end of it, they all loosed the game and at then, the rest of us were happy because we didn't play the game else we would had loosed as others.

I want to ask, do you believe in experts gambling predictions?

predictions from gambling experts? hahaha why should you believe in predictions that are just guesses?

remember, in gambling, if no one loses then no one will win, so many of the prediction givers in gambling are those who are truly honest in giving predictions, those are all just tricks they use, of course, they will place different predictions from the predictions given they give.  try to make choices from your own hands, for the initial learning stage, you should try by betting using small capital (a reasonable amount in the learning to predict stage is $5 - $10)
368  Economy / Economics / Re: Will they ever be able to afford a house? on: January 01, 2024, 01:50:34 PM
Though I agree with the table but not applicable to all in each group, have to believe you used 80/20 ratio rule to arrived at this, which is fair. In the 80's, things are a little bit better than now as you can easily get a job that will set you up for the rest of your life compare to 2023. Even people in business find it easy because market were not saturated then
how can you possibly say something that is not based on data like this!  In the 80s, people's purchasing power was still weak, even to do marketing, they had to use a lot of money because marketing in the 80s was not as easy as it is today, which can only be done on social media.  More people who lived in the 80s sold basic necessities rather than doing property business or buying land, but nowadays property business prices are no longer affordable, this is happening in all countries in the world.  Currently, only those who have a large salary or come from rich families can own a house, while those born into poor families and only earn a small salary (even old people) cannot own a house.
369  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Answer this Gambling Question on Duration of Joy after a win or loss on: December 31, 2023, 11:32:27 PM
No one enjoys losing in gambling.Losing brings our hopes down, it ushers in emotional pain and grumpiness whereas, winning elevates our mood, bringing happiness and excitement. There are games where I have won and after withdrawing my winnings, I am so happy that I give gifted some of it to people around me. This doesn't last for long once the it is out of my hand and minds. I am curious, how long does this joy last after a win or a loss—does it linger until your next bet, lasting the whole day, just 20 minutes, or perhaps 2 hours?

For myself, the duration of my happiness when i win at gambling only lasts half a day, but the duration of my emotions and sadness when i lose when gambling can last up to 2 days and it is very difficult for me to change this behavior.  The feeling of happiness from losing or winning gambling is different for each person.  In fact, i have a friend who has absolutely no emotions or expressions when he finishes gambling, honestly, i'm surprised by him (i'm confused and often ask him whether he lost or won when he is done playing lol) However, i often hear that bad emotions can affect your gambling results, so try to stabilize your emotions when you start gambling, don't let yourself lose big because you fail to manage your emotions well.
370  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Buying and Losing My First Bitcoin on: December 31, 2023, 11:13:18 PM
Bitcoin is still completely illegal in my country. I was first introduced to Bitcoin through a friend of mine. I first bought Bitcoin in early 2017. I bought only 25 dollars worth of bitcoins then. The feeling of making the first investment in life was different. Although I wasted that Bitcoin by investing in a third party hype site. I had a hard time losing my first bitcoin.

How did it feel when you first invested in Bitcoin?
here you have made a big mistake, why should you invest the bitcoins that you have (worth of $25) in HYIP.  You have to understand that when you entrust your money to a third party then your chance of losing that money reaches 100%, there is no best way to earn bitcoins except by investing, working for bitcoin, taking part in contests, gambling at crypto casinos and trading.  anyway, you are still lucky because the value of the money you lose tends to be small, i can't help but think that if the nominal value was very large, you would definitely be very stressed, the next thing you have to do is refuse to believe third parties who claim to be able to double the bitcoins you have, it's all a bullshit.
371  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The frustrations in loosing a huge bet when your winning was so assured. on: December 31, 2023, 10:38:52 PM
To those who considers making profits a priority in gambling, I have come to observe that it is much more frustrating when you looses your game at when the game was almost over and you were on the safer side (winning) and just a few minute or seconds before the game is over it ended up at your lost.
I come to understand that it is more worrisome when the sure winning opportunities was so huge and got lost lately closed to the end time of the game.
Often those who i see win big at gambling, whether they win the jackpot from slots or the lottery, are those who initially think that the gambling games they play are just for entertainment, but this mindset is difficult for many people to apply, because it is difficult to get rid of expectations to win, win and win when playing gambling, environmental factors and also culture actually play a big role in forming the mindset of each gambler.  Usually, people who are trained to gamble without winning are those who from the start have a stable income and also have emotional control. which is good and usually only people who are intelligent and have an IQ above average are able to do this, their discipline is really good.
372  Economy / Speculation / Re: If bitcoin will accepted worldwide for legal then price rising $100k?? on: December 31, 2023, 09:48:33 PM
If btc is legally accepted in all countries then huge number of investors will increase. and the use of btc in various fields will increase.

what is your opinion about this?
that's for sure, when the adoption of bitcoin increases then its value also increases, people will only see Bitcoin as something they have to have but the bad effect is that when adoption increases then Bitcoin fees also increase, just look at the current example, the ordinal protocol that rides in the bitcoin network, bitcoin transactions have increased sharply, as a result, there are many bitcoin transactions that have not been completed quickly, it is clear that if there is no best solution to make bitcoin fees more stable then the only people who will use bitcoin and also invest in bitcoin are people who have a good economy only, Bitcoin will become a very special asset, which can only be owned by a handful of people.  There is still a lot of speculation going on in Bitcoin, especially as adoption increases rapidly.
373  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is the perception of people about gamblers in your neighborhood? on: December 31, 2023, 09:28:34 PM
Gamblers were seen as irresponsible people in my town few years ago. Parents usually warn their children never to indulge in gambling or associate with people who gamble. However, a lot has changed recently as gambling has become one of the biggest business here. As a result of that, societal perception has also improved as many testimonies of life-changing wins from gambling has emerged.

I don't know if this is only happening in my area or is a general trend, hence the reason I created this post. Let's know what people think about gamblers and how well the gambling business is faring in your area.
If you live in a very religious environment and if your country strictly prohibits gambling then you will experience discrimination because of your gambling activities, Luckily i live in a country that doesn't prohibit gambling at all, but that doesn't mean my environment accepts that, there are many parents whose demonstrating to urge offline casino gambling to be closed here because there are many young people who gamble in it, this is what saddens me to see because the gambling business owners here do not prohibit children under the age of 21 who are still the responsibility of their parents from playing gambling inside their casino.
374  Economy / Speculation / Re: Fear of December dump is fading away - for Bitcoin on: December 31, 2023, 09:07:43 PM
As you might see in my previous posts and responses I have always considered the send half of December as a bad time for crypto because we had seen most of the bearish market starts from the end of December but this year it has been different as we have not seen any sign of bearish market till date though there has been minor fluctuations in the price of Bitcoin but it has not been more than 10% drop in Bitcoin.

I think we may not see any bear market this time due to the upcoming events like Bitcoin Halving & possible Spot Bitcoin ETF approval has leveraged enough investments flowing in and creating more demand which may subdue any larger price correction which could have occurred.

What's your opinion on current Bitcoin trend, will it continue the same way or we will go through the December nightmare once again?
so far this is just pure speculation, the price of bitcoin rarely experiences a drastic decline in December, in fact in the last few years the price of bitcoin has actually increased by several percent in December, the price of bitcoin per this second is $42,560 and only experienced a decrease of 0.08 % in last 24 hours.  So, regarding whether in December 2024 the price of Bitcoin will fall as you have stated here! who knows, but I am sure that in December 2024, bitcoin will not experience a bullish streak, in fact, it is very likely that Bitcoin bearishness will occur in Q3 2024 (just a prediction)
375  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Online or offline gambling which is more safer? on: December 30, 2023, 11:30:52 PM
Sometimes people are always addicted to playing gambling online and this has made them loss alot of funds, due to always topping up theire casino account with there debit card when they loose. and this usually makes them exhaust all there funds.

While those people playing offline in casino halls play with only the little money they have at hand, and that will reduce the risk of over spending. So now my question is this

Playing online or offline gambling which is more preferable in terms of risk reduction?
how can you think like this, i have seen for myself someone who gambles offline in a casino using a credit card, so whether online or offline gambling has the same potential and risk for us to lose more money.  For this reason, the best way to use the money we have is to implement risk management in gambling (if you read more about the topic of gambling responsibly then you will know that risk management in gambling is important) set a budget and try hard to be disciplined in that matter, many gamblers have gone bankrupt in online and offline casinos because they did not implement good risk management, until they use bank loans and also credit cards to play, that's really bad behavior.
376  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to make money on cryptocurrencies without investment? on: December 30, 2023, 11:13:17 PM
I'm just a newbie and I don't have other opportunities to make money irl because of my place of living and age. I tried already bounties and airdrops, but I'm not lucky in it. Thanks for your advices!!!
You're not unlucky, you're just not patient enough for that, i'm currently successful in getting cryptocurrency from the signature campaign I participated in and trading activities, but i also often join the waiting list for new tokens on Binance (of course those with good liquidity), in airdrops there may be some who pay and give rewards but almost 80% of the airdrops currently circulating are scams, have you tried becoming a trader, well currently there are many people who are successful in making cryptocurrencies and making big profits from trading.  Now you are in the trading section, there is a lot of knowledge that you can get in this section, don't be lazy to learn and read, be patient, even everyone who is successful in crypto today, was originally a beginner who struggled from the bottom.
377  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin transaction fees have disappointed me today on: December 30, 2023, 10:53:28 PM
bitcoin fees are not stable so you have to check again, a few hours ago i checked the mempool and the "low priority" bitcoin fee reached $20 and now the fee has dropped quite a bit so try to always update it and send your bitcoin at the right time.

There will have to be a solution in the future if Bitcoin wants to continue to prove itself as a viable means of daily trade, payments and transactions. Though at the sane time, this could be a highlight of what the Bitcoin network will look like as a store of value rather than a payment system, and this premium may become the norm for transferring value....Bitcoin might become a network for those of higher net work while those with smaller values will be forced to use other solutions that are more scalable.
This is the problem, i'm sure the lighting network was created to be an alternative in the future when bitcoin transactions are booming, to be honest, this fee issue will hinder bitcoin adoption, i can't wait to see the best breakthroughs from the great developers out there for immediately resolve the fee fee problem that is currently attacking bitcoin.

It is exciting as it means new opportunity opens in the market, but if is also disappointing as an efficient network is what we hoped for Bitcoin.

There is only one thing to blame right now for the problem; ordinals.
ordinal is a leech, when the ordinal project will close, it will be good news lol.
378  Economy / Economics / Re: Sometimes tips the securities at the mall or local shops on: December 30, 2023, 10:29:34 PM
I haven't worked as a security before, but from my observations, I would say the securities are really doing a pretty good job. Securing whatever we go to the mall, we keep an eye on shoplifters to avoid thefts and nuisances. Personally, I am scared of that kind of job because you have to sign an agreement that stipulates that anything could happen while you are on duty, and only your family will be compensated on your behalf if it eventually leads to death. But i see those guys do their jobs with passion and happiness.

When we walk into a mall, I believe they are the first person we see, and i have seen most of them with a lovely smile and welcome message. While you are leaving as well, they say goodbye and thank you for shopping with us. Don't you think they are worth tipping? Sometimes we should tip them and appreciate them for their services because it is not an easy one and their salaries are low as well. Tipping them will help solve some other needs, or if they have a family, it will help provide extra money for the family.

i really respect their profession (security guards and also mall cleaners) i don't even feel comfortable if i have to pass by a mall cleaner who is mopping the mall floor, but in several malls that i have encountered, visitors are strictly prohibited from giving tips to security officers and when i asked the mall cleaners what the reason was, they said it was a rule from their superiors, if they received tips from visitors and were caught they would receive severe punishment such as a salary cut.  For that reason, giving tips imo would be much better if given in secret, don't let my good intentions become a time bomb for security officers and also mall maintenance officers, they still need money to support their families.
379  Economy / Gambling / Re: Does anyone find the spate of online casinos a bit uninspired? on: December 30, 2023, 09:53:20 PM

You were just rhetorical in your comment, seems more like going round and round in circle, this made your comment a bit too hatchy to understand, but speaking about suggestions, every casino that must be considered great must from time to time listen to the suggestion of their users, and try to work with some of that which is suggested to them by their community of users.

Lol, you actually mentioned my username in your comment. I guess that was a typo.

Many copycat casinos you come across might stem from the same group or idea of developers. When it comes to designing an online casino, you typically have the homepage, a betting page, a user profile, and games pages. It all boils down to the owner's preference. Even if they share similar designs, the user experience can still differ. Some casinos pay users to test or compare their platform and provide feedback, helping them identify areas for improvement. If I encounter two similar casinos with the same design, I'll choose the one where I had a better experience and found more user-friendly.
There are quite a lot of gambling sites or online casinos that have the same UI and other features, this does not violate copyright, in fact, competition will get tougher and each gambling site will try hard to provide the best service to their users.  i also saw gambling sites that are owned by just a group of companies but they have many names of gambling sites and monopolies like this are actually what makes new gambling sites appear with little chance of making it big in the gambling market.  just like you, i will only choose gambling sites that make me comfortable both in terms of security and fast response.
380  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Crypto gambling and religious restrictions on: December 30, 2023, 08:25:08 PM
Again, it is actually unethical to discuss the issue of gambling with religion and link it, remember that gambling is personal and so is religion, so it is very important for us to respect other people's views on rules and morals.  i am also a Christian and really respect other Christians who don't gamble because they think gambling is bad behavior, i never feel like i'm right, i just gamble without harming myself, my family and also other people because some radical Christians said that gambling destroys a person's personality and also destroys his life so in my opinion as long as the person is able to manage his gambling activities well then it is legal.
