You need to ask for a refund. They were wrong. There are no limits for capital gains reporting in the US. Every $1 gain should be reported. The $600 common misconception is the limit at which a business needs to issue a 1099 form. Nothing to do with gains. Should be completely legal. They want your ID for records. You'll still have to pay tax and report it to the IRS or whatever equivelant for your country, but otherwise this is completely legal.
If you can money, you can report capital gain; should you lost money on it, I am wondering if report capital loss, will IRS audit you, maybe just they are curious... |

My feeling bitcoin is like stock market in 1920s and 1930s, after the Greta Depression in US, US passes many laws to protect investor, hold investment firm, mutual fund firm and exchange accountable for their acts. In bitcoin world, we may need similar laws, but enforcement will have to be global scale.
I realize this after I lost over 1btc on hash profit, which is Russian company, and no way I can get my money back ...

i was in this position of earning basically a living with bitcoin with signature, when i was doing 2 btc monthly, you can compare it to a part time, not exactly a full time
but it was awesome to earn directly in bitcoin like you do in fiat, with not all the hassles about fiat earning...

My dream is bitcoin will reach 10k per coin, and then I will pay down some of my debts.
Actually, I want to sell half coin in localbitcoin every month in cash, and pay my day to day expense in btc.
And save all my salary, not do touch it. This will be cool.

My experience with alt tells me that stick to the original bitcoin. all rest are not going to stick...

Bought them, I bought from CoinBase. it was easy enough. I also tried to bought from Mt GOx, only to find out I have to do verification (about 1 week) and wire money, that is too much trouble and I decided not do it. At that time, bitcoin was below 100 bucks.
Still remember my first payment too, I was worried they would fly off into nowhere. I have this feeling too.

First you put coins through mixer, that way nobody knows its source for sure.
Then you can use Coinable to sell them, and deposit into your bank account.
Not the best way to spend bitcoin, but will work.

Considering how much google is making from innocent users, I think this India company is fair.
Most time I use google to search something, I have to dig into first 5 pages, along the way, I click on some sponsored links, and Google is making a few dollars of my click. I would love Google to share some with me.
BTW, Google is so rich now they are the most valuable company on earth.
