We could ask John to supply us with the information he has about Soniq, so we can find someone close to him to pay him a friendly visit. I suggest to do this when Soniq hasn't reacted in this thread before January 1st, noon GMT.

after today these U1's if they going to sell they'll have to be UNDER $14 each. and even then, it'll be just for novelty or an ornament. Unless you think 0.45 cents a day return is a good investment If you have 100 of them, it's $45/day * 30 = $1350/month. I always calculate a 90 days break even with todays difficulty, so that's ~$40/piece.

Burnin, it is now more than 4 months since you received our funds in BTC, and the price was much lower then. Just holding some of the BTC would have made you whole, not to speak of the losses you cause us by not issuing a promised refund in a timely manner. I thought Germans are true to their word, it does not seem that this applies to you, given your current track record. Do you plan to ever return all the unearned (stolen) money, or do we have to apply the scammer tag to you??
You are not really fair to him, he is not a scammer at all. He didn't receive our BTC, they were exchanged into Euro's the moment you paid via Bitpay. He has taken a deep hit in his pockets due to the Avalon chip disaster, not his fault, not ours either. He will do what he has promised in the end, it's only taken way longer than he anticipated. And I agree with you, his communication should be better and more customer friendly, but how would you feel after working your ass off for months, only to lose €20.000...

"I know something you don't, be patient."
It was a polite request, not a demand like you quote it. Guess it is good that despite them not answering PM's for other people you are granted some inside knowledge.
I, like others, have been in contact with them since November. And the insight knowledge is not as much as you probably think. Nevertheless, I prefer not to speculate about what will come, just know it will be good for all of us.

Guys, they are very busy setting up deals that will make it easier for all of you. Just try to be a little bit more patient. And no, I am not going into details. You'll see it when it's done.

anyone have advice for NOT ruining the SD card everytime the unit power cycles?
I log in as root or become root and then do # sync;halt or # sync;reboot I don't do anything on the web interface before either of the two above. Never had a problem.

#1 I like this one too. Can you modify this one a bit, having little bitcoin coins coming out of the crack in the block ?

...that most of man's problems stem from his inability to just sit in a room and do nothing.
There is a saying to counter that: Use it or lose it. Decide for yourself what you'll lose.

... We would like announce that both Fabrizio and Alessia have agreed to provide information to our group ...
Can you explain what the above sentence means. What information have they provided(that you can share in public)? When we reach a balance of 3.5 BTC...
I just donated to get you to 3.5BTC: https://blockchain.info/address/1PHDaiUMq5u3WTAwmYv7ioNnKfEGYXBtmT

Eh? How would disabling lowmem decrease CPU usage?
It decreases the amount of time the system needs to spent to hassle with memory swapping and moving. You've unfortunately misunderstood what this flag does on cgminer. Enabling lowmem decreases CPU and memory by only trying to submit shares once and does not cache them if there is network flakiness (which can lead to massive blowouts in memory and cpu usage). Could be it was just a coincidence that for the short time that I looked at the top screen, the difference between running with and without --lowmem was so high, given the low effect it should have according to you. It is also possible that there is something else at play here. The cpu is not capable enough to keep up with the amount of work it needs to do, given the high average load figures of top. (1.88 1.97 1.95 after running for 20 hours; I am assuming it's a single core cpu). I will put back --lowmem and have another look at top in 15 minutes. Edit: After 16 minutes, the top shows average load of 1.91 1.92 1.94, so slightly lower. And now the hasrate is up a bit (with --lowmem), so I can safely say that it was a coincidence. Me looking at the top screen while writing the review at the correct/wrong moments, take your pick.
I stand corrected and will edit my review.

Not clear how to remove the --lowmem or alter parameters Could you kindly provide some details ? ssh into the unit and modifying the file /etc/init.d/cgminer
