361  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The 'Greed' index of Bitcoin users is sharply increasing. on: March 26, 2023, 10:40:09 AM
Greed starts at 51 and is up to 75, so 68 is well into the second half, sure, but there's also a whole section of extreme greed ahead. I also find it interesting that the stock market is currently at its fear stage, so if Bitcoin is in the greed area, it's currently very uncorrelated with the stocks.
It does not increase to extremely greed area and if climbs to that area, Bitcoin can continue its recovery to more than $40,000 or a little bit lower than $50,000 like $48,000. I really don't think Bitcoin can have a recovery in bear market to very close to its all time high.

Bitcoin fear and greed index chart.

In 2019 bear market, it only recovered to more than $12k or about half of its 2017 all time high. By history, I think $30k is a reasonable top price of 2023 recovery.

364  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Why you should trade reviews of crypto YouTubers with caution on: March 26, 2023, 02:01:07 AM
I want to bump my topic because YouTubers are still making dumb videos to generate more clicks.
Who have good brains and are ready to learn will change themselves and don't let their decisions affected by Youtubers who mostly made videos to gain traffics and personal benefits. There are few people who do it for good with high quality educational videos but to find them, you must filter many trash Youtube channels.

Who don't have good brains, are not ready to learn will not change themselves by reading your topic or any other advisable resources they exposed to.
365  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin can't become world currency (at least now). on: March 26, 2023, 01:57:09 AM
Becoming a world or global currency is not a mission of Bitcoin. Do you see is the US. dollar used globally, everywhere by all people on Earth?

It is not and won't be. There will be countries that accept US. dollar and there will be nations don't accept it. There are people use it but there are others don't use it. Reasons are many such as geopolitics ideological differences and others.

The linked user has 1 post and 0 activity in its profile page, but if you look on his post history it shows nothing which means the post it made was moved to trashcan.
Are posts in trash can counted toward activity?

It should be 0 post, 0 activity.
369  Other / Meta / Bug? on: March 24, 2023, 08:00:35 AM
That user created two topics for a scam tool, posts were deleted but activity is 1.

Is it a bug?

370  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: 21 million units what is the reason for reaching this value? on: March 24, 2023, 07:22:28 AM
If you add it all, you will get a total of 20999999.9769 Btc. So because the Genesis block is unspendable, the only Btc left is 20999949.9769.
Controlled supply

21 million is a rounded number that is more easily to use in discussion than 20999999.9769.

I loved it and I was so happy to see that it's such simple math yet so powerful.

371  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Please explain the math behind the DCA. I am confused. on: March 24, 2023, 02:21:29 AM
Using this calculation method will provide a more precise average price compared to only calculating the purchase price. Essentially, each time you purchase coins at a price below the current average and sell them at a price higher than the current average, your overall average purchase price will decrease.
Unnecessary to complicate it like this (subtract the value you sold).

Average price is for all coins you have. Assume after you DCA 1 year, you have 10 coins, with average price is $25,000. If you sell 2 coins, the 8 coins left will have same average price at $25,000. If you buy new coins like 2 coins or 5 coins at $30,000, those new coins will be used to calculate your new average price for your total 10 coins or 13 coins.

Buy 2 new coins at $30,000: [(8*25,000) + (2*30,000) ]/10 = 26,000 is your new average price.
Buy 5 new coins at $30,000: [(8*25,000) + (5*30,000) ]/13 = 26,923 is your new average price.
372  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Mempool full? Long transaction times + fees x10! on: March 24, 2023, 02:10:19 AM
I think it depends on the configuration of the node which the transaction was broadcast to, if you check this webpage:

https://jochen-hoenicke.de/queue/#BTC,24h,weight

You can see that Bitcoin was two buttons or options, BTC and BTC(Default).
The default configuration of the Bitcoin client seems to admit a maximum size for the mempool of 300 MB, before it starts to purge transactions which have stayed unconfirmed around 14 days in the mempool limbo.  Smiley
There are many mempools and each of them can set their own (different) times to drop unconfirmed transactions. 14 days is likely a common default settings for mempools but not all of them use that parameter.

14 days is estimated from retarget algorithm of difficulty after each 2016 blocks. With average block time is 10 minutes, it takes about 14 days to have one difficult retarget.

Similar to trading as we can use default parameter for many indicators which give us default parameter at 14 but we can customize it if we want.
373  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Please explain the math behind the DCA. I am confused. on: March 23, 2023, 04:22:56 PM
The question: is the average still 45 USD per CNS
Your average price is the same. After you DCA, all coins you own will have a same average price. If you sell any fraction of your coins, the rest will have same average price like before selling.

Average price only changes if you buy new coins at new prices different than your current average price.
374  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: 21 million units what is the reason for reaching this value? on: March 23, 2023, 01:56:40 PM
Why only put 21 million units in the source code?
How is the 21 million bitcoin cap defined and enforced?
Why is bitcoin's supply limit set to 21 million?

Hopefully it has answers you are finding.

Please don't reply only by reading the title. I don't mean to offend you but your giving irrelevant info for OPs query.
Irrelevant?
I don't want to use one address forever.
Really
Binance does not allow you to change your receiving address but you can choose two address types.

So you will have two Bitcoin receiving addresses on Binance.
It is useful for OP with at least one new address.
377  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Bitcoin & Apple Pay on: March 23, 2023, 07:09:59 AM
an example of a five btc amount

0.05 in a third party account
0.95 in a trezor or any good hardware wallet
4.00 in two seperate off line wallets.
I don't have 5 Bitcoin but for 4 Bitcoin.

Is it safer to store them in two offline multi-sign wallets with 3 cosigners.
378  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Change address on Binance on: March 23, 2023, 07:01:43 AM
Binance does not allow you to change your receiving address but you can choose two address types.

Bitcoin for Legacy address: begins with 1.
BTC (Segwit) for Native Segwit Bech32: begins with bc1q.

So you will have two Bitcoin receiving addresses on Binance.

Binance does not allow you to get Nested Segwit receiving address, begins with 3 or Taproot address begins with bc1p.

Exchanges with Terms of service for KYC/AML will be risky to send his mixed coins to.

Fortunately, there are no KYC exchanges that don't mind about KYC and AML at least before they change their policies and Terms of service. Your friends can do his own research and use them as destination for his coins.

Not my advice for your friend safety and security for his coins.
