361  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: El Salvador has become the first country to make #Bitcoin legal tender! 🇸🇻 on: August 23, 2023, 12:06:26 PM
Did you also read the recent news about the president teaching the young ones Bitcoin. This is kind of news I like hearing to be honest I wish other regions can adopt that. Although, there's also a builders program organized by some exchanges that wants to teach youth in some certain regions things about crypto in general and bitcoin too.

Someday, somehow. Bitcoin will be well known
362  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How do you go about realizing gains? If you opt not to, what is your reason? on: August 23, 2023, 11:30:04 AM
Everybody has the way they do theirs. But as for me what I do in bear season is pretty easy. I use two exchanges one for my accumulating and leaving till I grow old. while the other is for buying and selling using different methods.

The one I use for my buying and selling. I use the DCA method and then Dual Investment or Sniper in other not to miss any buying low opportunity or selling high.
363  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Wrong way to accumulate. on: August 20, 2023, 11:19:31 PM
One strategy that I came across some time ago, which I mentioned previously, is the concept of "Dual Investment." It's important to address why individuals often accumulate BTC incorrectly. This tends to happen when people jump into the market too late, during a period when Bitcoin is already experiencing a surge in value. Which all know that this behavior is often referred to as "fudding." Another reason is that many people attempt to time the market perfectly, but this can be challenging due to our human nature. At times, we might inadvertently miss out on opportunities.
364  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why Bitcoin Instead of Gold? on: August 20, 2023, 11:08:48 PM
I'll just simplify why I'll always choose bitcoin

- Because Bitcoin doesn't know the age difference.

- I have never owned gold since I was born. But when I was 19, I had my first BTC in my wallet. You can imagine the happiness

- I can easily transfer Bitcoin. Anywhere, anytime

- I can carry Bitcoin anywhere and at the same time earn from it by either trading or participating in different Events like Kcgi, which I can earn in usdt and swap to BTC with fewer charges

- Bitcoin is decentralised, safer and efficient

And many more reason
365  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Adoption in Turkey Grows Stronger on: August 20, 2023, 10:51:50 PM
That's a pretty good move, taking an alternative to avoid their currency falling drastically that much. Sooner or later, some country leader would understand the worth of Bitcoin one way or the other. El Salvador is already teaching their youth how to send bitcoin and some exchanges have also organised a builders program, ready to teach youth from different countries bitcoin and crypto as a whole
366  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: First Spot Bitcoin ETF in Europe Listed on Euronext Amsterdam on: August 20, 2023, 10:40:58 PM
This is great news, Bitcoin ETF is no longer a matter of "if" or "if not", but a matter of "when", because it is very imminent that it will all be signed, though i dont have the clear details< but i think Blackrock is still waiting on the SEC to approve its bitcoin ETF, or give a date.
Personally, i  believe this all will be signed, though might not happen at a time when people expect, it might come like a thief in the night, at a time when everyone will be shocked and the effect of it on the price of bitcoin will be massive, i believe for now, SEC is still trying to load their bags with much bitcoins as possible before they approve the ETF  Grin.

Anyways, @op, please include a source to your post, i believe you got this news from somewhere?, please share the source, i believe many of us will like to read more about this.

Yes, actually black rock gave SEC 240 days to give their final decision. We already know that SEC has no option but to accept BTC ETF if by now they have bring in reason why they prolong the acceptance of ETF
367  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Bitcoin investment can reduce inflation for our country naija on: August 20, 2023, 02:57:13 PM
I have been seeing similar post but my guy, this country wey you dey talk so na naija o. I don't how you think it but I'm telling you Bitcoin can't end this recession. Naira is falling and the government is doing nothing about it
368  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Sentiment in the Poor and the Rich deaths value. on: August 20, 2023, 02:25:23 PM
I understand your pain. But the koko be say life no balance.
369  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: No Fiat, just Digital currency. on: August 20, 2023, 02:15:26 PM
The stark reality is that Bitcoin will always remain an alternative. When considering the actions of those in power and their self-interested behavior, if they can't control it, they often dismiss its value. Should I also mention the scarcity of the naira during the election? Money was restricted for the masses, while only a few individuals hoarded it. Just imagine if they had approved Bitcoin well in advance. Such situations might have been avoided as a significant portion of citizens could have used efficient exchanges to transfer funds, thereby promoting awareness and adoption of cryptocurrencies. For now, it appears that they want to retain control over everything.
370  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Don't punic, just hodl on: August 19, 2023, 04:43:22 AM
The entire crypto market is falling again today, but is this the first time? Didn't it fall the same way in 2021 before the new ATH? And remember what was the level of greed and fear at $40,000 a year ago and now?..

If you are trading on the spot market, then you are not in danger of liquidating your position. And accordingly, you can stay calm on such a dump and look for a convenient price to buy coins at low prices. Panic is mainly affected by those who bought coins at a high price and at the same time using high leverage.

At this point, I tend to avoid dealing with Futures due to my lack of mastery in that area. As for Spot, there isn't much inherent risk involved, but the real allure lies in purchasing at low points. It can indeed be frustrating to miss out on buying opportunities by the end of the day.

However, such experiences are valuable as they help us refine our strategies. I've decided to set a specific buying point and place the order, or alternatively, I'm utilizing the Dual Investment approach which has been effective for me.
371  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is it worth it to teach older people about bitcoin technology? on: August 19, 2023, 04:30:00 AM
The beauty of knowledge is that it doesn't have an age-specific or cohort. The most important is, how determined the person you're teaching eager to learn or understand what you're teaching.

If an older person wants to learn or know more about Bitcoin, why not. Give them the knowledge you've. Don't be surprised if Bitcoin was introduced in their era, it would have been showing us the rightful part in understanding it
372  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Why Bitcoin Dey Come Down? on: August 19, 2023, 04:19:51 AM
First of all, your Nigeria pidgin dey sound somehow and the thing dey make me laugh. Keep it up. You dey learn small small

Oya back to the matter on ground. Yes o, many things they happen for inside BTC matter. Starting from the adjournment of BTC ETF to Elon musk space X selling of BTC. Oh! You know see say Nasdaq dey fall too? E be like this two get one kind connection as one dey fall the other dey follow am.

But the coco of the matter be say. You dey leverage this opportunity so?
373  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What if its falls! Will altcoin survive? on: August 19, 2023, 04:13:21 AM
I don't think so. In fact, the case is been reversed here. Bitcoin is indeed the king of crypto but not all Alts evolve around it.

During this period that Btc is falling so rapidly from 30k to 25-26k, some alts didn't make that much difference. Aside from the coins listed recently like Cyber. Other old coins like Bch and its likes are still performing well regardless of what is happening to Bitcoin
374  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Some smart guy converted $1000 to 1 million in one day with $BALD coin on: August 19, 2023, 04:01:56 AM
This is what I call luck. The same thing happened when Sei and Cyber were launched on the same day. On the day of the launch, everyone was thinking that the former would perform well due to the hype and all that. But in the end, only those who went all in on the latter enjoyed the game. It went as high as 400+%M
375  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you trade altcoins during the bull run or just hodl? on: August 18, 2023, 12:13:56 AM
There are a couple of good altcoins that are worth holding. Besides the market is red now. If you can detect the quality alts now, hold till the bull run then it will be a great year for you. Looking into Cyber and Sei and then Litecoin. The best time to know good coins is usually in the bear market because that's where each of them can determine if they can hold the pressure or not
376  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How safe are physical exchanges in your neighborhood. on: August 18, 2023, 12:06:20 AM
In as much as the best form of coin exchange or conversion to fiat and vice versa is physical since this will limit or minimize the risk of scam faced when using online platforms. I still think that in countries where bitcoin or cryptocurrency at large are frown at, one should engage in bitcoin discreetly.

This is also why I don’t agree with shops or businesses publicly making bitcoin a payment option in countries like this, because Just like this case scenario once the government comes hunting for those who violate the law you will be first to be napped.

Just like in my country where BTC isn't fully accepted, we use P2P which is way easier and faster and most importantly, using an exchange that takes my asset's safety seriously.

Sometimes, I trade it. Like asking my friends if they have usdt then in return, I pay them in cash. No KYC needed. Easy and safe!
377  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What do you think About the Shifting of Bitcoin ETF Approval on: August 17, 2023, 11:49:30 PM
I think that ETF was deliberately postponed to make it closer to halving. In the meantime, there is a high probability of a dump. In August, crypto whale wallets transfer several billion dollars to BTC

Dump already happens hopefully the price of BTC will recover soon.  About the shifting of Bitcoin ETF approval closer to halving, it will bring huge effect if they are all positive news.  This will make the Bitcoin halving exponentially affect the market.  A catalyst and the hype of ETF approval, I think this will boost the popularity of Bitcoin and may give a sudden surge in the Bitcoin market.

Although this kind of speculation is great, we never know the actual decision of the SEC with regard to the ETF approval, let us hope that the result is positive.

Absolutely, the unpredictability of this space is both its allure and a letdown. The allure lies in unexpected events making significant waves, while the letdown is the missed opportunities or losses. I'm geared up for any outcome since my Dual Investment strategy on BTC is firmly in place.
378  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / What do you think About the Shifting of Bitcoin ETF Approval on: August 17, 2023, 02:22:10 PM
You know, it's crazy how the SEC postponing the BTC ETF decision until 2024 is making everyone hold their breath. I've been talking to some folks, and opinions are all over the place. Some are like, "This delay is killing the momentum. We need that ETF to surge the market!" Others are more cautious, saying, "Maybe it's good to take time and get things right. Quality over speed, right?"

And let's not forget the impact of the first US BTC futures-based ETF listing on NYSE back in 2021. That thing kicked off a bull run like nobody's business. People are wondering if history might repeat itself. Could we see another surge if the SEC finally approves this one too? It's like waiting for a sequel to unfold, with fingers crossed.

This a mix of excitement and anxiety. People are speculating about how the price might react. Some think the uncertainty will lead to a temporary dip, while others believe it's just a bump in the road, and the long-term trend will keep moving up.

Personally, I'm all about hoping for that approval. I mean, it's not just about the price for me; it's about the wider impact. If the SEC gives the green light, it's like a signal to the whole world that we're moving forward.
379  Economy / Speculation / Re: Big SEC Decision on Bitcoin ETFs: What's Your Price Prediction? on: August 13, 2023, 04:14:04 PM
I am personally not expecting much of a price change with the introduction of more ETFs of Bitcoin.
Perhaps it could bring more awareness of Bitcoin to people who have been used to traditional investment tools for a while, but in reality the best case scenario would be new people joining and actually buying and keeping their Bitcoin in their personal wallets.

At least we are seeing how Bitcoin and crypto in general slowly continues to lose the stigma it had from the beginning, this is not longer an asset used for tax evasion and dark web dealings, but a legitimate one which people is interested in.  Eventually, skeptic users will move from ETFs, to exchanges and hopefully to self-custody.

Yeah, the most important thing is in holding before it surge. Glad I got a lump sum ln my wallet

Lol! Not sure why people are so bullish about an ETF but it doesn't bring any real value on the table. It's just a method of investment that mimics the price of an asset without buying or selling that asset. So I don't see any positive impact or liquidity inflow in the crypto market due to ETF approval.

The only positive thing here is that some more people might get intrigued about Bitcoin and start learning about it.

Like saying the people that wants to see the fall of bitcoin are the one bringing it to light. Now I'm eager to see how this goes at the same time looking at my chart

And with that, there is no major SEC decision that is forthcoming, for example the ARK 21Shares Bitcoin ETF Filing was pushed again by the SEC. So obviously, with this news, there are no impact whatsoever, we remain as what we have seen in the last 6 months or so, $28k-$30k at least.

So I guess we really need to wait for the decision itself. I mean the day whether they will approved or denied it. Not just saying that they are going to delay with their decision. It's either a Yes or a No to see the impact on the price.

Most probably, the price won't have much impact since is now an anticipation and the implementation won't really move people that much.

I can't believe this got me accumulating btc just in case. Lol, but it is worth though. Maybe next time, I would use sniper strategy to get the work done
380  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Mastering the Art of Bitcoin move on: August 13, 2023, 03:46:29 PM
of course every btc investor has his own technique and way to keep making a profit, in my opinion if investing in btc for the long term we won't think too much about price movements because people who invest in btc for the long term usually only sell btc during BUL RUN. I think purchasing techniques such as the DCA system are needed and I also always use the DCA system.

Yeah, but you know is not everyone that are lucky to get on the trend and get the price cheaper.

I have been in that phase and sometimes is tiring like you have been left out, I have to find me an alternative to join the trend as others at some point

So far, I have seen most of the approach is curated for individuals with a long-term investment perspective. It's not just about gains; it's about calculated gains while thoughtfully nurturing your crypto portfolio.

No one can predict the moves of the market. This is a financial market and if everyone was able to know the next Bitcoin move, everyone would have become rich in weeks and months. You just cannot think about what the market makers and whales are planning whether it is a bull market or a bear market. They will make such moves that will trap the retail into FOMO so they won't sell when prices are all time high or make them so much fearful so that they do not accumulate in all-time near to low prices.

With price action, you may mark certain levels on the chart and predict the next pump or dump to a certain extent but still, nothing can be said with certainty.

For a newbie, investing in bitcoins for long term is the best way to gain money. Also, if you analyze, those who keep Bitcoin for years and years, they are the ones who get real returns which the average day to day trader can never think of.
Although the market can be unpredictable, it is not completely random. Even while they don't always get it right, professional traders, analysts, and institutions put a lot of money into understanding market dynamics, so they're not just aiming darts at a board.

Level marking is not some elementary school game; it is based on past data, current trends, and recurring patterns. To minimize the importance of technical analysis is dishonest.

It's simplistic to state that long-term investing is the "best way" for a beginner, even while I agree that it has advantages. Everything is dependent on one's financial objectives, level of risk tolerance, and investment horizon. Not everyone has the money to "hodl" for a long time. DYOR before making broad assumptions

Yeah, That's why I use both strategy because they seem to work well for me for both long term investment and trading the trend.

Not even a single strategy is perfect. The market is unpredictable and always evolving. In order to stay up to date with the market, we need multiple strategies and plans. But when it comes to the Bitcoin market, you just need to know when the bears are here and when the bull will be back. That's all you need to know about Bitcoin investment. And if you are in Bitcoin trading, that's a different scenario. Depending on your trading style, you will need different approaches and strategies. Now that's a whole new story.

But if you are into investment, buy low and HODL for a long time. That's all. Even if you buy in the middle, you will be in profit if you are able to Hodl for a long time. Try to avoid buying the top. Even if you are unable to do that, just hodl till it breaks the top too in the next bull run.

Quite frankly, that's what I'm avoiding for a while now. Implementing dual investment could go a long way for me.

Ain't saying it would be 100% either but it will reduce some potential risk
