Wow, canary, you actually ordered one?
I'm 100% certain this is a scam. Why would you even bother ordering and going through the hassle of paypal?
ohyouguyz.

@Brunic - I have no idea why you are buying more rigs now when it's surely far cheaper and faster to buy the coins outright.
You must be mental.

It's a scam. Are your algorythms, PCB’s or other products available for purchase separately? They spelled algorithms wrong. If they can't even spell algorithms, how the fuck do they manufacture products that solve them more efficiently than any other product in existence today? ANSWER: They don't.

I think someone big will get into the marker, somehow they have to lift the cap of 21mil coins, even if it can't be done. 21mil is not enough, 100mil is though.
21million is only not enough if you treat coins with the same divisibility as conventional money (0.01 being the lowest value). There's 8 decimal places with bitcoins. 0.00000001 is the lowest value. This is why we don't need any more coins. If you think about it this way, there are 21,000,000,000,000 "coins", if you use their full divisibility and treat them in the same fashion as most conventional currencies (e.g. 0.01 x 100 = 1 "coin")

Nice quad post..
The team are already working on a quick-start option for people that don't want to download the entire blockchain. But yeah this seriously isn't the main problem anyway.

Established Bitcoin Pool opens Litecoin mining pool lc.ozco.in is now accepting Litecoin shares. payment will be proprtional 0fee and include TXN fees . still ironing a few bugs out, changing website to reflect LC not BTC and looking for 1st block come check us out of course we are still mining BTC at ozco.in and soon us.ozco.in Awesome! Considering joining this pool now.. I'm guessing it won't be 0% fee forever though? Also FYI: lc.ozco.in uses an invalid security certificate.
The certificate is only valid for ozco.in
(Error code: ssl_error_bad_cert_domain) Might wanna patch that.

They need to fix the redirect in the .htaccess RewriteEngine on RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} !^www.litecoin.org$ RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} !^litecoin.org$ RewriteRule ^(.*)$ http://www.www.litecoin.org/$1 [R=301] Uh, why was the website redirecting to tenebrix in the first place?

Can somebody just promise to back the price up? Say, somebody with a real name (or a real company) could issue a legally binding obligation to buy BTC
Why would ANYONE want to do this? What have they got to gain from buying coins from people that could be essentially worthless? Apart from that they have to buy them because they promised everyone they would? In an ideal world, this would be nice. But in the real world, this will never happen. But hey, if you want to sell me all your bitcoins right now for $0.10 each i'll gladly accept =D So, what's to stop your USD or GBP or any other currency from turning completely worthless with the current rampant inflation? People still massively trust those, even though their *actual worth* is falling every day.

Should I be mining in a pool with a steady 4khash/s or solo mining? Upto now i've been solo'ing and getting a couple blocks a day. I'd probably be more tempted to join a pool if there was one that had a lower fee or just a auto donation feature (5% is far too high for my liking).
I also put in an extra 4.7khash/s whilst im using the other computer, so it's a total of like 6khash/s constant.

This is horrible! Bitcoin generation should be halved every 21,000 blocks. What is the chance litecoin last for more than 1 month, about 5%.
Ix/I0coin had a similar idea. The block generation halved twice as fast as bitcoin (because of higher rewards). Look how well that worked out. It lasted, what, 2 and a half weeks? 10,000 Ix/I0coin can barely buy a pizza these days. We need a chance for a chain to experience low inflation or even deflation. none of the chains have deflation Bitcoin and other chains do have inflation. It seems to me that you're impatient and just want the price to shoot up so you can sell all your coins at max value without waiting for real deflation to kick in.

hullo trying to mine the pool with minerd, args minerd.exe --algo scrypt --s 6 --threads 3 --url http://184.107.145.244:8332 --userpass WBbkIbhS8WadBGfXOAzfef6a9ea5_1:1 Getting HTTP 403 error then json_rpc_call failed. What am I doing wrong? Try taking the _ out of your username. e.g. --userpass WBbkIbhS8WadBGfXOAzfef6a9ea5_1:1 becomes --userpass WBbkIbhS8WadBGfXOAzfef6a9ea51:1

But a chicken Huh Or is it something else judging by its paws? Maybe I am wrong. Cmon man, chocobo's are awesome! I'm currently working on a JavaScript based miner for LiteCoin if anyones interested in it? Let me know if you are. (This means mining can be as simple as opening a webpage! Maybe pointing to the IP address of your litecoind server first, or would people prefer a pool?)

Okay, come on now. Who voted for solidcoin 8 times?

Haven't found a block for a good few hours now. Hopefully there'll be a nice pool up soon with donation option!

Bah damn 3am launch -.- Just got my miner up at 8am. It was mining the wrong chain at 3am til then. Mined 3 actual blocks so far. What's the most coinage anyones accumulated so far then? I wanna know how far behind I am I'm certain that I'm not #1, but so far I got 195 blocks. I was really surprised that I only got about 50% orphans in the first difficulty round. Now I'm only getting about 25%. Still going good. At how many khash? 100-150 (varying). That explains it then. That's about 37 times more than me >_>

I have some truly newbie mining questions. Never mined a coin before...
I've downloaded and built the litecoin source code (without miniupnp support, BTW, because on my natty ubuntu system, the miniupnpd build was complaining that it couldn't find pfvar.h, and I couldn't figure out what dependency to install to make it happy.) I put a password in ~/.litecoin/litecoin.conf, and ran "litecoind -gen." And it's doing *something*, chewing up cycles like nobody's business. But how can I get feedback on what's actually going on / whether it's working correctly, etc.?
Compile and use the artforz's cpuminer fork or tenebrix_miner and that'll give you lots of output You run it alongside litecoind. See the first post

Don't worry I mine right from the start and only have 11 blocks. You aren't too far away Bah damn 3am launch -.- Just got my miner up at 8am. It was mining the wrong chain at 3am til then. Mined 3 actual blocks so far. What's the most coinage anyones accumulated so far then? I wanna know how far behind I am Ah that sucks. I guess not then but that's still a decent amount! Struggling to find my next block now and the difficulty goes up soon. EDIT: Whilst posting that I found my 4th block

Got my script all set up (basically a while : do wget litecoin.conf && litecoind ; sleep 59 ; done with the tenebrix miner fired up in the other window ) so I hope to be the first. =)
If I can get to the keyboard around the time it's slated to go live I'll bump down the sleeping.
Me too although mine is a lot more overly complicated
