361  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Listing on: July 01, 2018, 07:57:30 PM
If you are wondering if there is a listing fee, the answer is yes. This fee depends on the popularity and trading volume of the exchange. If the question is about the price of the token when it reaches an exchange the answer is no, there is not a predetermined price, the price is determined by the market once the token is traded.
362  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Cryptocurrency will ultimately come full circle back to having centralized banks on: July 01, 2018, 12:21:46 AM
The idea is that each person is their own bank, always keeping control over their own coins. It would not make much sense if one of those millionaires invested a fortune in cryptocurrencies and then deposited them in a bank. To do that, they better not buy cryptos and leave their fiat money intact in the bank.
363  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Strange Tokens in MEW? on: June 30, 2018, 09:55:51 PM
There are always unknown/strange tokens airdropping to our ETH addresses. Just ignore them, there is no harm for the coins to stay in our wallets.

He can't do anything else either, there is no way to get rid of those tokens, unless he wants to spend gas for nothing. Also, you never know, maybe one day some of those tokens will have some value. In a way, this is a curious and cheap way to do marketing, they send tokens to random addresses so that the owners of those addresses look for information about the tokens and thus they know about their projects.
364  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why everyone thinks institutions will buy Bitcoins from exchanges? on: June 28, 2018, 11:09:05 PM
@cellard
Yeep is exactly what i mean, they buy from external sources, and price will be unaffected, then they dump into exchanges coins and prices will drop like stone.
Ofc this will happen behind closed doors and far away from regular people view.
We can see these effects even today after MtGox stolen bitcoins. Who knows how many offshore companies own millions of bitcoins.
I give one simple example. Look at Winklevoss twin brothers, they bought their bitcoins from auctions, so bitcoin price was unaffected when they pumped those money at that time period. And examples can go on forever.

What's the problem for them if the price goes up after buying? If they want to buy a large amount, they can open accounts in several exchanges and see how their investment is revalued instantly. The OTC deals can be interesting for them if they can get a price quite below the market price, if not, I think the exchanges are a better option for them.
365  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Token transfer from myetherwallet to any other exchange on: June 28, 2018, 02:11:01 PM
hello guys i m trying to first time transfer token from myetherwallet to particular exchange there some error occur. So can you tell me the proper way to transfer my token.
if the transaction fails, then you can repeat it and reset the cost of gas and gwei in myertherwallet to speed up your transactions.
by the way token what will you send? do you have eth balance in your wallet?

hello no sir dont have eth balance it is required??

Yes, it is. When you send tokens from your wallet you have to pay the gas. Gas is paid with ETH that is taken from your balance, if you don't have enough ETH to send a transaction, it will not be executed. To better understand the process I recommend you read this: https://kb.myetherwallet.com/gas/what-is-gas-ethereum.html
366  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bahamas Plans To Issue Its Own Cryptocurrency on: June 28, 2018, 11:47:44 AM
According to what is explained in the news, it seems that the decision has been well-thought-out and has a meaning, it's not that they are offering a state cryptocurrency so that people don't use BTC or ETH, but there is a real intention to help people. Also, they are planning to use the blockchain to fight corruption, which is quite interesting. In fact, this is one of the most interesting applications that blockchain technology can have, although, for some reason, it's one of the least talked about.
367  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Did you ever consider this; The end of Crypto on: June 27, 2018, 01:48:51 PM
Most members keep on asking each day that the crypto activities we all know of and have been hyping will collapse. Some expert investors who don't like Bitcoin, Crypto and blockchain tevhnology always say the bubble will burst and everything will come to zero. So I want to ask, does that mean are we going to see the following:

* A market capitalization of about $252,730,956,280 (CMC now) going to go a waste?

* Big companies such as Binance, Kucoin, Huobi, Bithumb and the rest going away?

* USA and other countries boycottimg their regulations and China forgetting about their intention to set up new regulations on crypto?

* Awesome blockchain technology that many governments are interested in going a waste?

* Huge investments in crypto turning to zero

* And even Satoshi Nakamoto not doing anythimg to ensure what he pioneered sustains and endures?

and so much more to come.....

Guys I think we are pioneering something that is going to be great in the future. Let's think positive. The market is down, but crypto hasn't collapsed. We shall surely bounce back!!

Although in life you can never say never, this end of crypto scenario seems to me to be highly unlikely, the chances of that happening are ridiculously insignificant.
368  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Vitalik Buterin leaves. Who would benefit?? ETC is my bet on: June 25, 2018, 10:39:44 AM
Let's imagine Vitalik Buterin just left the game.
Reason is irrelevat;
..........

No, it's not. In that hypothetical case, it would not be the same if Vitalik left Ethereum for health or economic reasons than if he did it because he no longer believed in the project. In the latter case, it would have an impact, but if he left for reasons that had nothing to do with Ethereum, there would be no reason for anything relevant to happen in the medium or long term. Ethereum is already a fairly consolidated project.
369  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: All Bitcoin forks are going $0 on: June 24, 2018, 02:51:37 PM
Bitcoin gold, instead of a fork, was just a joke, a very bad one. You just need to remember that they published a wallet that turned out to be a scam and that many users lost their bitcoins by claiming their bitcoin gold. https://www.ccn.com/bitcoin-gold-wallet-scam-nets-fraudsters-3-2-million-after-stealing-users-private-keys/ Seeing how this project was born and developed, its end cannot be said to be a surprise.
370  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Time to stop using Bitcoin as a form of investment and start using it as payment on: June 24, 2018, 12:03:42 PM
Probably the reason why people are not using bitcoin as payment because of its volatility. If you buy a shoes worth .01 btc or roughly $60 and tomorrow that .01 btc will be worth $80 so that you just paid $20 over the price of that shoes. So that won't really mean good for you. So i think bitcoin being so volatile makes people not want to use it as payment.

That can happen to you either when you buy some shoes or when you sell bitcoin, I don't see the difference. Besides, the price can go in one direction or in the other. It doesn't seem a good reason not to use bitcoin as a means of payment. The only one who could lose money is the seller, but for that there are the payment processors that allow users to pay with bitcoin and sellers to receive fiat money in their bank accounts.
371  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Cryptocurrency ATM in Amsterdam Airport on: June 24, 2018, 11:26:57 AM
Amsterdam Airport has installed ATM that allowed outbound travelers to convert their Euros in two prominent cryptocurrencies Bitcoin and Ethereum.

Reading this news I thought its a great Idea for travelers that they can easily convert their local currencies to Global Currency like BTC and ETH. And also realize cryptocurrencies are being accepted in European region more than other parts of the world.

News source: https://www.ccn.com/amsterdams-airport-helps-travelers-swap-leftover-euros-for-bitcoin-ethereum/
Good idea, since travelers will not be able to use that currency anymore after they leave that country why not just convert it in cryptocurrency which can be accessed anywhere you are and be able to sell it when you got back home. But would be better if the airport will also implement a payment system using those cryptocurrency like what australian airport did.

The idea is intended for visitors who leave the country to go back home, but it's also very interesting for Dutch people who want to travel to countries outside the European Union because they can exchange their currency through BTC or ETH in the country of destination, and even, in the event that they travel to Japan, they can use BTC to make any purchase in the country.
372  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is here to stay or ethereum overtakes in the market? on: June 23, 2018, 04:43:45 PM
Ethereum is much more likely to lose its second place, in fact it already happened twice some months ago, than to take the place of Bitcoin. Anyway, anyone who has been involved in cryptocurrencies for some time knows that the market cap of a coin is not as important as many people think and that the true value of Bitcoin goes far beyond its price in dollars at any given time.
373  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Could your Grandma use Crypto? on: June 22, 2018, 03:12:09 PM
The current operation of cryptocurrency is too complicated. If you want to teach your parents to use it is a very difficult process, I think most of the people using cryptocurrencies should be between 20-40!

I think my grandma is very much occupied with worrying about not breaking her hip instead of her to be worried about using cryptos, cryptos is for the younger generations. It will take a long time before there is full adoption of cryptos worldwide and widespread acceptance will most likely happen in the generation after ours

This same argument was used with respect to mobiles and personal computers. It used to be said that older people would not be able to use a smartphone or that they would not know how to use a computer or access the internet. The reality is that older people use personal computers and smartphones like any other person. They chat, participate in forums, download applications and games, and so on. With the cryptocurrencies it will be the same, with a couple of basic notions they will be able to use them like any other person, at least for the basics like sending or receiving coins.
374  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Media tries a little too hard to... on: June 21, 2018, 04:05:20 PM
The media loves sensationalism and the stories that can generate clicks, which is how they earn money. In the same medium outlet they can publish news that associates bitcoin with criminal activities and news about people who became millionaires with bitcoin. Obviously they publish more negative stories because those are the ones that draw the most attention and with which they get more clicks from the readers.
375  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Where can I meet developers? on: June 21, 2018, 03:01:38 PM
You can put an ad in this forum in the Services or Project Development sections, you state the conditions and if there is someone interested he or she can contact you by PM. There are several similar ads in these sections.
376  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: ‘Bitcoin’ was the 9th most read article on Wikipedia in 2017 on: June 20, 2018, 04:50:59 PM
This is not really too surprising, the last three months of last year were crazy with news about bitcoin on television, celebrities talking about bitcoin on their late night shows, news on the main internet portals, and so on. Surely the number of searches this year will be smaller.
377  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bithumb 30 Million Hack on: June 20, 2018, 03:16:23 PM
Just in time to kill the momentum and take us back to 6500, this hack happened, people panic sold, but the fact that Bithumb inmediatly took charge of the situation, moved resources to cold wallets and assured clients it would cough up the 30 Million to cover losses, is pretty empowering for the industrya and goes to show that a lot of the big players are here for the long term and are willing to build a new reputation not only for themselves but also the industry, trying to make it a more professional space, and not just a parade of endless unresolved scams and hacks.

This will also be a relief for the users of that exchange since they will not lose their funds. It's fundamental that the exchanges cover the damages caused by these attacks. It's also very important that they investigate how it has happened so that they can reinforce their security measures and prevent this from happening again.

378  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Miners in China’s Remote Regions are Undeterred By Restrictions on: June 18, 2018, 05:43:23 PM
Maybe the explanation is simpler and the Chinese government is allowing mining in these regions because this activity can be an economic stimulus in areas of the country that are considered poor. If China's intention is what the article suggests, the hostile attitude that the Chinese government has had until now towards cryptocurrencies does not make much sense, unless it's only pure appearance.
379  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Regulating agencies are quiet now! Anyone suspicious? on: June 17, 2018, 04:34:37 PM
Last year when bitcoin was on a bull run, there were multiple countries going for ban or regulating it however as we have hit a bear market which may last a few months or another year, isn't it suspicious that all those regulating agencies which were so called protector of the financial interests of their people have stopped bashing crypto for now.
Why it always gains steam in a bull market but come bear market and they creep back in their holes? Are they the ones which are busy accumulating now ?

No, I don't think that regulators can buy or invest in something they have to regulate. For me, the cause is that now the media speak less about bitcoin than when its price was higher and that's why politicians talk less about bitcoin than before.
380  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The UK Government's Official Archive Is Testing Blockchain on: June 17, 2018, 01:24:06 PM
This is one of the applications and possibilities that the blockchain technology offers, especially due the fact that all the records in the blockchain are immutable. In addition, it's easy to make it visible to the public, making it fairly easy to consult.
