Escrow nor family and friends will stop a chargeback using Paypal. As a matter of fact "family and friends" will stop chargebacks on paypal, happened to me recently  Well if you rescind payments by requesting your CC company to stop it, then it will be a loss to paypal and they will charge back the buyer. I think almost all forms of payments on paypals can be chargedback. |

I believe they need to make a new sub just for these Ponzi investments. It's really ruining the look of the gambling page.
Seems it happened last year in Feb as well. People initially participate in these ponzis, then after a week or 2,m they realize that most are scams and not profitable, so they give up on these , and these schemes die soon after. |

Hello,
I am new to the bitcoin talk forums and i got question.
I am 16 years old and trading now for a few days on Localbitcoins. I am wondering if this is legal, people pay me with Paypal. I might do other payment methods in the future.
Should a 16 year old be trading bitcoins? My dad doesn't know either if its legal or not.
BTW: I live in The Netherlands
Doing it with other payment methods, which are not reversible might be a better option. Selling them locally in Netherlands for Banktransfers might be a good option as well to start trading. |

At 220 and going down, we are at a point where if nothing changes we can expect nothing more then for the price, and the project, to decay into ridicule. The fundamental problem is that in concrete terms a Bitcoin is not currently useful in any real sense. This doesn't need to be the case however, as we have proven at Bit-Comm that through spending Bitcoins we can store data into the blockchain, which is a permanent storage medium. In a word, we can save Bitcoin by promoting it as having the amazing ability of allowing you to spend it to store your data forever online.
Are you up for saving Bitcoin by making it useful?

Yes, I think they have resumed operations on a whole. The only reason they would have paused those would be to investigate the hacking cause. However, it might be a publicity move to claim being hacked, so as to create publicity and free advertisement, then fix it and come out as good. Then immediately, implementing multisig so now people know its super safe and people trading on other exchanges would move to bitstamp. Just speculating  But it could always be possible. I just didn't think that they would keep 18K BTC on the hotwallet, and let it be hacked . Bad publicity can be disastrous for a business which runs on trust! True, but the whole trust thing gets fixed after not affecting any users and offering multisig now . Anyways, it was just a speculation . I don't in anyway mean thats what they did. |
