361  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why Does Bitcoin Have Value? on: May 29, 2020, 03:50:37 PM
It is a simple yet not easy question to answer: why does bitcoin have value?
All these long stories are quite unnecessary, you should have just gone straight to the point of what you’re trying to say, which is utility. It’s all about trust, and people make use of what they trust. When people trust something, they invest in it without fear because they believe in it. By them investing and making use of it (utility) it will start to have value. The community is what’s holding Bitcoin , if people should stop believing and investing in it, it will fall to zero.

In other words, this bank determines how much bitcoin can participate in the real economy. And that’s right if you don’t want chaos. Well, if you want chaos, you are an inadequate person. That, in fact, is all.
I understand that you mean that a miner (the possible first level seller of bitcoin) will sell bitcoins only for cash; from this you mean that how much bitcoin in circulation or participating in real economy is based on bank? I guess people may sell bitcoins NOT only for cash but also services. It means number of bitcoins which are participating in the real economy does not need to be depending on bank. I mean people get bitcoins by paying cash and by working for bitcoins as well.
362  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can bitcoin halving make cryptocurrencies reach all time high again? on: May 29, 2020, 02:43:55 PM
I don't think that this halving can make cryptocurrencies reach all time high But It can be possible if this forum get double users before next halving. I mean new numbers of people come this industry fast before upcoming halving.
But people are saying that there will be another all time high price because of what happened after the last two halving, but they are not sure about it. But judging from what happened before, I would say the next bull run is not going to happen this year. Last halving triggered bitcoin markets to reach its then all-time-high-price within the year and the following year bitcoin set a 20x higher new all-time-high.

Bull run is going to start from next year which is 2021, because that’s how it happened after the Halving in 2016. It took from 2016 to around December 2017 for the bull run to take place and similar thing happened after the first Halving. Now it’s a good time to start investing if you’re hoping to make profit from the next uptrend.
363  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Fees high on: May 28, 2020, 08:19:02 PM
From what I have understood, the fees for Bitcoin transaction is not really attached to price, it’s about the demand and supply being high.

There are times I notice that the price will be increasing and I will have to pay a high fee for a transaction and there are time when the price will stays stable and settle at that same high price and when I try sending money I will be charged small fee.

Bitcoin network can only process 1MB, so when the supply and demand is high the network becomes congested and miners will only process the transactions with high fees. When this happens there are lots of people who are enforced to spend big money as high fees for a quick transaction. As per the current situation, it seems segwit is not helping or it is slightly getting older to cope up with the current number of bitcoin users and their transaction habits; probably it is time for segwit V2.0?
364  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Best Way To Make Money From Crypto In 2020? on: May 28, 2020, 04:57:21 PM
Am I the only one that thinks staking and masternodes are a new method that in 2020 more people have started to think about? Well it was 2019 when it all started but that started to get more attention if you ask me. Binance adding option to having your money on their exchange and still manage to get a share of the staking (and even faster because it was collective amount that stake a lot faster) so it got more attention. But they added because it got more attention as well so it was both ways.

I don't know if too many people do it that we could consider it the best way right now but it is definitely the fastest developing one in my mind if you ask me, there is no data that I can back it up with right now, I haven't checked the numbers how much money is staked right now but it looks like it increased from early 2019 to today.
365  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Cryptocurrency & Mobile Gaming on: May 26, 2020, 08:37:35 PM
Gaming world and crypto has worked hard to combine but it has always been a bit difficult. Steam accepted bitcoin for a while, twitch accepts bitcoin I think, there are so many different ways that bitcoin was introduced but in the end it is not happening in a wide scale faster than other sectors.

Microtransactions in shape of crypto currency could be something that could be done but at the same time micro transactions are already hated a lot as well so it doesn't really change too much for the companies. Don't get me wrong it is hated but it is also one of the main incomes of the game companies as well, so I am not entirely sure if they mind getting even a bit more thanks to crypto. The real question is it would create some accounting changes when it is crypto so would it worth it enough to make all those changes just to add crypto?
366  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: CoinMarketCap Changes - Broken the Trust of the Crypto Community? on: May 26, 2020, 06:53:17 PM
Recently, CoinMarketCap changed it's ranking system in regards to crypto exchanges, by some sort of miracle Binance (who bought the Website 6 weeks ago for a rumoured $400 million) is top.

What does everyone think about this? Has it broken your trust in regards to CMC being unbiased? Will you stop using their system? Or are you fine with another company investing to grow their reach?
What else you can expect from them when they might have spent big money like $400M? Definitely they will work for the way which will be benefiting and helping them to recover that $400M as quickly as possible. I guess there should be some different approach rather than completely removing the ranking system for exchanges in coinmarketcap. They removed ranking for exchanges so that they are able to list their own exchange binance at the top.

Previously coinmarketcap was blamed for showing fake volumes for both exchanges and coins and it is really unfortunate even under the new management we cannot have a fair ranking. I use coinmarketcap for references and honestly I do not make any investment decisions based on their ranking so personally I will not have any problem due to their manipulation/modification on ranking/listing.
367  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is the new cryptocurrency worth buying on: May 26, 2020, 04:58:56 PM
With the development of the economy, BTC is now gaining more and more attention, and it is not disappointed by the people who chose it. From being questioned at the beginning, to a large number of people investing now, it has become a popular investment product. I first learned that BTC was recommended to me by my friend W (who was the administrator of the Monetary Authority) at that time, and let me also invest, but I thought it was a hype May be cheated (this has become a big pity for me). Later, I started investing in 2013, when I bought 100 BTC and sold it at the price of 16,000 in 2017. Now my friend W has recommended a new cryptocurrency to me. Should I invest?
Yeah, you should invest. Your friend helped you to get approximately $1.5 million worth of profits in four years of time which must be really amazing. How you believed your friend in 2013 but now hesitating to repeat the same now? Is there any specific reasons behind it? If I were you, then I will blindly follow a friend who have helped me to get 15x profits in four years time frame. Unfortunately I had no such friend in 2013 but now I have this community and they are always suggesting to buy and hold.

I am just curious about your buying prices in 2013 and about approximate target prices and time of holding for new buying of bitcoins. If your time permits, please share those which must be helpful for many people here. Honestly I do not need them as I do not have any plans to sell my times in next four years as I may hold them till the year of 2030.
368  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What are the different multi cryptocurrency wallets for staking cryptos? on: May 26, 2020, 03:01:44 PM
I am still planning up to make use of trust wallets to stake tron coins but I just come to know a lot of other wallets are so offering such staking facility for different coins. It would be much helpful if people are sharing about profit levels for staking EOS and NEO in exodus wallet. I am holding some EOS in exchanges but after seeing this topic, I'm planning to have exodus wallet for staking EOS purposes.

I will be watching this topic for more such coins and idea about staking and I will keep on investing such coins. Because, staking definitely will get me profits and when bulls arrive into crypto markets, I believe staking+bull markets will get me my targeted profits.

Anyone trying leasing waves? I heard leasing is the concept in waves platform which is similar to staking in other coins. Any input on leasing of waves might be helpful for the people like me.
369  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading mistakes on: May 26, 2020, 02:37:27 PM
Some people are so naive to believe in TAs and trading signal groups! "There ain't no such thing as a free lunch"! It's always the best to equip yourself with a certain knowledge base! The very first thing you should invest in is the time to learn, to explore, to understand the knowledge as well as the trading techniques, trading skills, and analyzing skills.
Yes, experts are always suggesting about going for generating trading signal by their own technical analysis and also about not depending on trading signal groups. In my opinion also, it is making sense because you need be good at your skills to be independently successful traders. Only our own knowledge will be helping us all the times to avoid mistakes because just getting signals alone will not be enough as you need to make some decisions time to time and if you fail at that then you may commit mistakes to losses.

you can use the demo account and learn everything you need to learn before you start funding your account and trading for real.
Yes, demo accounts are always helping to avoid mistakes. I believe demo account concept must be an integral part of successful trading. People who are not making use of demo accounts might be making their own mistakes to learn the real time lessons of markets. I mean demo accounts help costly mistakes with actual capital.
370  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: If we have great ability, is capital from bank loans safe for us to use trade? on: May 26, 2020, 02:04:47 PM
I believe loan for trading purposes will not work even for highly skilled traders. I believe you are referring with "great ability" the professional traders. Yes even for professional traders, loan as the capital might be playing as a negative catalyst because they will be feeling extra pressure on their trading because they need to repay the loan from the profits they are making. When you are not able to fully focus on your trading and its related decision-making then there are a lot of chances for you to miss out something which will be leading to big losses because trading requires your attention at each and every moment.

I believe already a lot of traders might be getting loan for their trading purposes and if you notice their current loan is not the first  loan. I mean is they are good at trading then it means they are good at profit-making then what is the need for them for continuously getting loan for their trading purposes?

Starting with the small capital and then building your own big capital from profits on monthly basis will be helping any trader to sustain in long run and definitely loans will ruin all your trading capabilities regardless of how great you are previously.
371  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: New to trading on: May 26, 2020, 10:55:50 AM
I was hoping to get some advice as I am brand new to crypto and trading. So if I have bought an Altcoin or bitcoin at a higher price than it is now should I sell and buy the dip or does crypto not work like that? I am trying to find the best way to start making small profits.

Any help is appreciated.
If your plan is to make a small profit daily then you will have to be going into day trading; it seems like you're into investment and investment takes some time. I am not saying that investment is not good, they are all good, and what you have to do is to plan yourself and know when to start investing. And once you invest in cryptocurrency, you have to have patience and wait till the right time for the price to increase and you will make profit.

As for day trading, it is not like that, you can be making profit daily. Day trading is the most difficult and I wouldn't recommend it to someone that's still new. You may skip day trading completely for all your life time like many people are already doing. Day trading is good only when you got whale like capital to manipulate the market direction.
372  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is it time for us to get back to trading? on: May 25, 2020, 09:03:10 PM
Trading has been there for a long time, there has been a lot of people who have been trading in the past 3 months, that is how bitcoin moved from 9k to 4k to back over 9k and now under 9k once again. Without traders those moves wouldn't have been possible and now that its high"ish" again people are trying to get back to trading.

I am sorry but you should have done it when it was low, not when it went back up. For example people who bought under 7k (I did thankfully) are still in profit even with the latest drop. Some people who bought over 9k are angry and calling bitcoin dying and bitcoin a scam and so forth many things, some even left for good, only because they were not smart enough to get in when it was low and saw it go over 9k and imagined it could go even higher and they could make profits, that is wrong thinking, you should buy when its low so you could make a profit, not when it went up.
373  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: May 25, 2020, 08:25:20 PM
Has anyone checked the game results according the age averages of the teams? I have a theory that teams with higher age average would have been more successful these rounds because every player is out of breath after a while and they are getting back on shape and many of the young players run far too much which makes them be even more tired than the older players whereas older players are usually more talented because they have more experience and know what to do in situations.

I don't have any data about this and maybe I could be wrong but if there is someone who can find age averages of the teams and check their results it could come up with a great result that we will probably (hopefully) never see again after giving such a break and coming back and see if talent overcomes age easily.
374  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 NBA Season on: May 25, 2020, 07:12:00 PM
Lakers wasn't really playing all that well just due to offense this year and that made the difference. For the first time in a long time I have seen even Lebron playing hard on defense which he usually doesn't since he is anchor on offense so he gets tired (remember all the teams he played for, he was usually the only offensively talented player) this year he had very good help on offense as well as on defense so he didn't tire himself out that much and could play on both sides.

They may not be the best players in the league but they have awesome role players that helps them a lot too. Clippers had too many injury issues and if they come back and never get injured they still have a chance to be champions, but if not I would say its a tossup between Bucks and Lakers who will get the ring.
375  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Limited participants is the best option for bounty campaigns this days on: May 25, 2020, 02:49:14 PM
It seems many new bounty hunters are joining this forum weekly or monthly, every single bounty campaign is full of thousands of participants, my claim is some bounty managers don't care how many you really are, even if it's just 5$ for each bounty participants, this is plain bad, I remember telling bubbalex to reduce Cartesi signature participants and I'm glad he listened, if not the reward would be very bad....
Limited bounty participants? Are you sure? Then you will be happy with limited contributors for your ICO? I guess this sounds like inappropriate idea to over come the bounty abusers. I believe instead of looking for limiting the participants in bounty campaigns, devs and managers must look for options to disqualify those bounty abusers. More number of bounty participants means high level of promotions for a project. This is what a project must be needing hence limiting the number of participants is not sounding as a good idea in my opinion.

There are a lot of experienced managers are available hence devs must hire only those managers so that they will catch all the bounty cheaters which will be helping rewarding only the real bounty hunters.
376  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Beware of lying project team on: May 24, 2020, 09:21:08 PM
I think I can give it to bounty hunters because they are getting paid to do something and if they don't do it they won't get paid, so I can't really blame them. Have you looked outside? There are soooo many people who are living under poverty level that I understand lying about it to gain couple bucks, they are not really the biggest problem here.

It is the people who pay them to lie that makes things this much difficult for the investors. I know it is a morality question, is it the person that lies who is guilty or the one that makes them lie, but I support bounty hunters on this one, they are just trying to survive. On the other hand project team makes millions of dollars from something and they end up with all that money on their bank accounts eventually without really doing anything about the project at all.
377  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Which tokens do you like to stake/hold for profits? on: May 24, 2020, 08:33:49 PM
I am staking tron on trust wallet and few months back I started staking RDD coins but right now its value halved hope it may bounce back to 100 satoshi levels so that I may see some decent profits. Other than these two I was in plan to start a masternode for bitsend but its value drastically have fallen down but still I am watching it out to get into for a node to be set out. If anyone having any update on bitsend, that would be more helpful to me.

I am also in plan to buy and stake ETH once they will be releasing their 2.0 version. It is just a plan and I may need to re-evaluate based on its profitability. After ETH, I often thinking about waves and its leasing features but not sure how effective it would be in terms of ROI.

Does ADA have staking feature?
378  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Tron (TRX) Discussion on: May 24, 2020, 07:34:41 PM
Yesterday, Justin Sun tweeted "TRON 4.0 is coming? He wants to compare with ETH 2.0
I have started holding trons after they initiated year long airdrop of BTT tokens on monthly basis. I bought tron for ~800 satoshi but right now it is trading around 160 satoshi and the BTT tokens I received on their airdrop worths some 10 cents. Honestly I am not happy so far as a tron's long term holder. They must work on making its price somehow competing with ethereum before comparing any new version against the upcoming ethereum's new verson.

I guess it is too early to expect any opinion from this community on tron 4.0; as long as Justin Sun will be actively working on tron, I guess I will not be having any problem to continue my holding. Thanks for sharing about the 4.0 thing of tron, it has been quite long time since I checked for any update on them.
379  Economy / Economics / Re: What would a Crypto-only economy look like? on: May 24, 2020, 05:43:58 PM
It would also require a lot of re-education of the elderly. There are too many people who are not good with technology, there are sick people, there are many people with disabilities that prevents them from using technology. At the end of the day crypto-only should never be the result of this.

Crypto was created to be alternative to fiat, it wasn't meant to replace fiat at all, that wasn't the idea. Crypto is strong as long as it is the alternative because its easy to fight from outside to inside, its not easy to fight inside to out hence why it would create so many troubles with it. Yet when I think about the distant future, like future we can't even think right now, 500 years from now or so for example. I can't stop but think, will money really still be a thing?
380  Economy / Economics / Re: Continuous Printing Of Money Out Of Thin Air Has Never Being The Answer on: May 24, 2020, 07:33:22 AM
It has been an usual practice for all the governments to print their fiats out of no actual reserve with the plan of burning them out later. Some governments go printing money first and then start working on getting up gold reserves with taxes/interests incurred from the business which got bailed out using the newly printed money. I read USA went for bailing out few corporate after the 2008 recession but collected back all the money with least interests. We are not knowing all the diplomatic movements of governments but making opinions and suggestions based on what we do hear.

I mean that continuous printing of money may not help any government but we are not supposed to be a position to get aware of all their plans.
