i could have got it there with free shipping but is that version safe to use don't you have to change some thing on it for it work without causing any DMG or even work  . because if not i have a few of those laying around with the wires . Btw i  bought the last one . i hate the lame limited close controller  this way I can use minera or all most thing i want to PI's Banana's cubieboards etc.

I never have had a issue with these. I bought a black one that burned up within like 5 minutes of using it. Sent it back and got my money back. Been using these since. haven't had an issue thus far knock on wood.

367  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: I need advice on mining hardware prices.... on: November 07, 2015, 02:31:57 AM
You said it yourself, even if you don't pay for electricity, they will never be profitable.
What's your motivation to mine if it isn't to make money?

I would like to learn about the world of bitcoins.

I also found today a gridseed miner for 30 euros, with that i would be able to learn  about both bitcoin and litecoin as it is a dualminer...
Thats my motivation

To bad you don't live in the states I would give you this gridseed orb I have sitting in front of me just pay the shipping for it. But would cost more to ship it than it is worth.

369  Economy / Gambling / Re: After losing all your Bitcoin on: November 04, 2015, 06:27:26 PM
No OP, it's better to keep your bitcoins and just forget you have any. You won't have to worry or plan anything, but you may be up for a pleasant surprise when the price reaches 4 digits again Wink

Whats the use of them just lying in one wallet corner? I would want my bitcoins to grow while sitting idle.So one can rather invest or use it to loan or trade them. There are many alternatives to gambling you know.

But isn't a loan just as bad a gambling? I mean even loaning your coins to a person with high trust is a risk. Maybe they are hoping to hit a winning strike on gambling.  And for the trade part. Do you mean trade as in buy and selling of bitcoins. Doesn't that also involve risk just like gambling?
370  Economy / Gambling / Re: Roulette is it really random? thoughts? on: November 04, 2015, 05:48:47 PM
So after a big sports bet win and when there are no other sports to bet on like right now, I usually try Roulette just for fun. Usually end up losing. I play at cloud bet. They have live tables, but I've gone on other sites where it wasn't live and just a screen with numbers. Anyways what do you guys think about these chance games. I always go for 50/50 odds on Roulette. Do you think it is really fair odds?

AFAIK, roulette always provide low chance of winning since there are many option you must choose which usually make me quite confuse.
If you're play on real table, sometimes the dealer put some magnet to cheated the game so gambler can't win  Sad

I would love to see that happen in real life.On a huge bet and some one find out about it. Wonder what the owner would do then.
371  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Which game you like most to play gambling on Bitcoin ?? on: November 04, 2015, 05:41:41 PM
I like poker and sportsbook and i don't like Dice but always lost btc for dice  Wink

I dont really like dice site ether but I know nothing about sport betting and I am not any good at poker. So Dice sites is where I stay mostly. I know a few people who have won big on sports betting and it seems like fun but every time I look at the sites I just confused which pisses me off and I just close the window. Maybe I should just hire some one to teach me about sport betting..I have even supplied btc to other people to bet for me since I cant seem to figure it out.

My opinion is no they are not all fair odds. I feel there are some sites which remain nameless that allow you to win on small bets so you make bigger bets and once the big bets come in they will always find the opposite of what you bet no matter what. They say they are probability fair but it is gamble the house will always have a edge. I wish there was a  casino near buy I could play with bitcoins. That would be great.

The bigger question is how many plays actually check to see the is roll was fair or not and just take it as a bad loosing strike. And even if they did check how many of those would know what they where looking at when they did check.
373  Economy / Gambling / Re: What's your favorite gambling website and why?? on: November 04, 2015, 05:32:58 PM
My Favorite has to be any mine site. Like satshio mines.  I don't know why but always fun to test your luck trying not to find the mine and cashing out before you do. The good part though is a stay away from these sites the most since I enjoy them so much. I do not want to make the mistake and gamble a huge amount. So I mostly stay with Rollin.io or other dice sites.
374  Economy / Gambling / Re: After losing all your Bitcoin on: November 04, 2015, 05:28:37 PM
I dont feel better after loosing my coins. I think I feel worse. The bad part it isn't even alot I mean I think the most I have lost is like .03 total over 1 year and a half. I have won more than that. But never gamble more than I am willing to loose. Which is always pennies. I want to cry when I lose like 100k and cant imagine what it feels like to loose a whole coin. God I might have a heart attack or something.

376  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: Nexious.com- Premier Mining Pool - Pays Tx, PPLNS, Block Finder Bonus! 0% Fee on: November 04, 2015, 04:50:28 AM
Is it just me or does the site say 0 speed for the pool hash rate? Hopefully that is not true with a 5 btc reward on a block find.
377  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [2900 TH] Kano CKPool (kano.is) from the cgminer devs [0.9% PPLNS] on: November 04, 2015, 04:48:12 AM
I cant believe bitcoin is up to 445. Any one know why the price spike? Think this will have an affect on how many blocks we find since more miner will be turning back on their gear?
378  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Replacing a S5 that went bad in the same controller. Good or bad idea? on: November 03, 2015, 10:46:12 AM
In short, i have a S5 that i got half working (got it cheap), then second blade is dead and the FAN2 has no reading

I could put a new working blade in the controller, but would such history warrant against doing this? It seem like the controller is not working as well as it should, i'm just wondering if doing this could damage the new blade?

I don't know to much about the s5's But if it is anything like the s3 replacing the controller will not damage the other board. If the controller is already faulty might as well change it out for a working one.
379  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: 1400W APLUSPOWER AP188A 1400W Power supply for Bitmain Antminer S4 120V-240V on: November 03, 2015, 05:49:48 AM
Whelp Welcome to the forums for one. Second Here are some prices for you so you can decide. What you think i fair.

1st link is your power supply for sell on amazon. 169.00 plus 6 dollars shipping.
http://www.amazon.com/APLUSPOWER-AP188A-Bitmain-Antminer-120V-240V/dp/B00292MSUM

Second link is a compareable power supply for sell on ebay. 24.99
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Dell-Delta-D1200E-S0-Switching-1400W-Power-Supply-DPS-1200MB-A-200-277V-/171892224557?hash=item280593322d:g:puoAAOSwjVVVu8yq

Here is a third your power supply 100-150
http://apluspower.en.alibaba.com/product/60218216229-219060221/Bitcoin_Miner_ANTMINER_S4_customized_PSU_1400W_APLUSPOWER_AP188A.html

So comparing pricing it looks to be anywhere between 100 - 169. Unless you go for something you could also used at 24.99. My opinion. I would try 130 shipping included any see how it goes. I would also post some pictures with you username and date in the picture to gain some trust you have the item. Maybe suggest escrow as well. Since you have no trust and are using a new account.  I know OgNasty does pretty well in his escrow services. Here is a link to his profile. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=18321

Hope the information helps!

haven't yet recieved a bit?
Payout just sent (5 minutes ago)
64958606246a2e64a1722385a97cd99b4d7ac5a647f83c5d23f72cb37496de4e
and confirmed already (4 minutes later)

... was asleep when it came due ... and then this morning woke up and ... we found a block 2 minutes later ... 42% Smiley
While doing the payout I wrote yet another check to the payout processing - this time checking bitcoind itself - so delayed me some hours working on that.

Can I asked what the check for payout processing means? Just never heard that before and wondered what it meant.

Thanks
I have a sizeable number of checks and balances I do, when I do a payout (and many of those checks I do at other times also)
i.e. to make sure the BTC all goes where it should, and that the results of the steps I do for the payout are correct
I'm not one of those fools who incorrectly believes that code is always correct, I run various different checks using different methods to verify things are all OK

Edit: and of course these checks would show up anomalies if someone successfully hacked into the servers.

This is why I point my rig here, regardless of the current pool luck.  Hard working character like you are priceless.  Thanks for your time and dedication. I wish the karma pay it forward for you when time is fit.

I second that. I am very thankful for all of Kano's hard work and effort in and outside his pool. I wish I could sit him down and learn half of what he knows.
