Iconomi has not had any delays. There was that one time back in December when they felt they could release beta access earlier than intended, but upon receiving alpha feedback they resorted to their previous deadline which was Q1 2017. Other than that they have been well on schedule. I think some people are just upset at the price (which is still well above ICO price), so they try to point the blame at Iconomi.

I've been reading a little bit into this project,but I feel like I'm missing something. Why can't someone else collect money like ICN did in its ICO and invest money into crypto to pay dividends?
They are. But if you think you could manage a fund better than Iconomi, you soon can with Iconomi's open fund management platform later this year. It's basically going to be the uber of fund management. |

This morning I realized an amazing advantage of ICNX that no one has mentioned before. If I traded on my own, I would have to pay short term capital gains here in the U.S.
But with ICNX, they can constantly adjust the underlying assets and I never have to pay capital gains tax until I sell my ICNX.

Dividends. 3% annual management fee as well as .1% entry/exit fee is taken from all ICNX activity and distributed to ICN holders. Likewise, the ICNP will distribute 20% of its realized profits to ICN holders. And then later in 2017, the open fund management system will start paying dividends as well. The dividends will be for every $1,000,000 that gets distributed, each ICN token will entitle you to $.01. So 100 ICN tokens equal $1 per million. |

If ICN holders will get dividends from ICNX, ICNP, OFMP as mentioned on a previous post in this thread, what ICNX holders will earn exactly because until now I can't understand the use of ICNX and how the price for it is calculated as It looks useless except the fact that you could use it on the platform for something that I'm also not really sure of.
ICNX will be to crypto currency the same way the DOW Jones is to stocks. In other words, if you own 1 ICNX token, you are actually owning ~13 crypto currencies. Thus the value of 1 ICNX will be derived from the value of those 13 crypto currencies. The advantage to holding ICNX is diversity. Say the value of one of those 13 crypto currencies decreases, but two of them increase, the value of ICNX still goes up. The ICNX has been around since December 2016 and it has increased by 20% or so. The fiat trading function has to be separate. On iconomi.net it will take 2 steps to go Fiat->ETH then ETH->ICNX or other array I stand corrected. |

Yes. This is one of the main attractions of the Iconomi index. They plan to be a gateway for large investors and fund managers to invest in the crypto world with fiat. Thanks. I presume that is the case for all of the possible funds that will be created by third parties too, and not just the Iconomi Index? I believe so.
