Holy cow, thanks a lot!

I am going to try this shortly and let you know how I make out.

Interestingly enough I had forgot that I took to the forum to complain. So I entered "cpu miner windows command line" into the search bar. I then saw the response to me own whining. Totally forgot that I even asked for help

So, again, thanks. And I will let you know how I make out ASAP. I spent my whole life using windows. Then I migrated over to Linux a few years ago and never looked back. Now Im Win-Tarded, I cant do anything on the OS

I find the blue font color lends a lot of credibility to this argument. Only a counter argument in a red font could convince me otherwise.

Second. And well said. +1

Could everyone else spare an extra internet for RodeoX?
364  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: New demonstration CPU miner available on: April 30, 2013, 10:19:32 PM
What other coins can be mined using CPU Miner? I cant seem to find a list anywhere and really cant look through 30 pages of posts

So are we counting the Feathercoin.is-a-geek.com Faucet as defunct? I am updating my lists for other forums and chats?

Thanks

Also, if anyone wants to help me get started

I am jsut trying to learn about Feather and LTC this weekend. I have a CPU miner (lulz) fired up and rolling in a pool. Not really trying to make anything but rather familiarize myself with the mining process. Also, trying to get a cpu miner to work on this windows machine for feather and lite coin but not having much luck

Now I am done rambling

I dont think I have ever used a Windows (cmd) command line before. I use a Linux terminal all the time and I used to use command lines all the time on my Commodore 64 but I really dont think Ive ever used it in Windows.

I would a total tutorial on how to do that and I doubt anyone is going to take the time to explain it and tell me exactly what I need to type to get it installed and running. I guess I will have to go buy a "CMD for dummies" style book at barnes and Noble next time I am there.
369  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is there a working namecoin faucet, or any other way to get free namecoins? on: April 27, 2013, 06:25:19 PM
I think we will see some name coin faucets pop up eventually. For now, I dont believe there are any operating
370  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [LTC] An (even more) optimized version of cpuminer on: April 27, 2013, 04:43:47 PM
Its in my downloads folder. So I have to be in /user/downloads/cpuminer/minerd ?
371  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [LTC] An (even more) optimized version of cpuminer on: April 27, 2013, 04:29:27 PM
I would love to use the command line miner (minerd) but someone has to tell me how to run it in windows. I have it running on my Linux (Ubuntu) box just fine with Pool-X but I am embarrassed to say I have never done this for Windows. I tried inputting at the command prompt:

"minerd"

"start minerd"

"/minerd"

"start cpu-miner"

"start [entire file name as downloaded""

Wtf is wrong with me? Besides the fact that I am Win-tarded

Err, help!?
372  Economy / Service Discussion / UPDATE!! Coinabul Shipped my ORDER Re: Are Coinabul still operating? on: April 26, 2013, 07:18:08 PM
UPDATE!!

I have received my order from Coinabul.com. I placed an order a few weeks ago and when there was no response got worried. Checked the forums and thought I got ripped off.

Today I received my order. For verification it was shipped USPS and I will upload a scan of the package. I dont want to post the tracking number here and give my address but I will scan and blur the receiving address.

This is good news. Heck, I might even order from them again

But probably not

Well, I received an email early today from Coinabul claiming that they were shipping my order and it said it would be sent "Next Day". It also had contact phone numbers if I had any questions. However, there is no tracking info to verify it. So only time will tell if they really do ship it. If anyone wants a screen cap of the email let me know and I will add it to the forum but Im not going to waste my time cropping and editing it and blurring info if no one is interested.
375  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Blockchain Wallet Crapping Out?!?! --Check your online wallets! on: April 12, 2013, 11:44:37 PM
Its been a bad two weeks. I got ripped off twice (once was with Coinabul). Had to deal with and expose the unfortunate reality that one of my favorite (and what I thought was one of the only legit sites) Then I lost my backup wallet in Instawallet and now...

I was logged into my blockchain wallet, saw that coinworker had just paid me, and went to refresh the balance. Guess what?

It wont load, I cant log in, the mobile app wont take my password. Is anyone else getting this? If I lose this too it will the last of my coins gone.

Let me know. Would appreciate feedback!

376  Economy / Goods / Re: [wts] silver on bitmit, i had the lowest prices before i just lowered them more on: April 12, 2013, 02:19:22 AM
Oh of course. I expect the price to fluctuate according to the value. How much was it in USD? A few years ago I used to buy the green monster boxes and get them at spot and sometimes below. However, I havent had money to buy large mint boxes lately. I thought when I did the math it was $40 with shipping. Is that right?
377  Economy / Goods / Re: [wts] silver on bitmit, i had the lowest prices before i just lowered them more on: April 11, 2013, 12:36:34 AM
Cool. Thanks. And I might just take the rest of them from you too depending on when I get paid from people that owe me coins. After this order it put me down to 1.02 BTC
378  Economy / Goods / Re: [wts] silver on bitmit, i had the lowest prices before i just lowered them more on: April 11, 2013, 12:31:50 AM
I just ordered one and sent the payment. Be on the look out for the order and the payment

Let me sign up first and create an account. I usually only test order one at first to make sure its actually legit. Like I said, I just got burnt
380  Economy / Goods / Re: [wts] silver on bitmit, i had the lowest prices before i just lowered them more on: April 11, 2013, 12:08:43 AM
I think I am going to buy something as a test order. I have never ordered from Bitmit before. I just got robbed from Coinabul. How many silver eagles do you have?
