Hi, new to bitcoin, I invested some money into bitcoin mid June after seeing all the hype online, since investing it's dropped like 20% really not sure what to do now if I should sell up now take a 20% loss or hang onto it and hopefully it will go up again? But after reading the news looks like it's not going to go back up?

Just have some more patience.Now the price has almost recovered from $1850 to $2750.If you wait,then you could recover your losses and at the same time,even you could get huge profits since bitcoin price is expected to rise more after august 1. yes, that's right...Be more patience in waiting. Besides, because of the volatility whether the price value upside down, traders should not worry about it. So in your case be still and calm okay.  For as a trader that would be the appropriate attitude will be for being patience and dont panic when there is a time that some coins goes down or dump but not really. So keep it up so you can get what you get loss next time. |

I've been reading through this forums for the past few weeks and all I see is "this coin is dead" or "everything is a shit coin". Is there any alt coin with potential to invest in or is it only bitcoin? I don't mean like a few here and there, I mean over 100 coins.
There is no shit coins or dead coins. All of the coins are important and have a value. Many altcoins have really potential and good for investment. I prefer to you to research more altcoin and you can find out what coin is the best for investment. Not all coins are legitimate coins, there are really shit coins who were just created to serve the interest of the developers and after they get enough money they will be gone, so be careful in investing and make sure you do due diligence. Really a lot of fraud happens, I also experienced it so be careful when investing, Look at the investment project or site, find the truth, If approximately convincing then invest. First off, take what you read on this forum with a grain of salt. Everyone has their own agenda, so ask yourself why they are saying this coin is dead, or this coin is great, etc. You should go to coinmarketcap, look at the top 20. If you can't find anything that peaks your interest, go to the next 20 and so on. Basically, not getting scammed should be your top priority. Exactly there is a lot of opinion that you would read but the decision is your that a good idea go to coinmarket.com and you will see a lot of coin and it is much better if go for study their value. And make a research about this. |

I panic when I see coinmarketcap web site with red colors and I start to think like "Oh my god, I think I lost my all" because I make margin trade with leverage. This is very risky, with a small decline I can lose my all.
Yep! Panicking when the prices dump badly is a normal thing in crypto trading. No matter how good you are at trading, there comes time when your coins make you panic badly. But the only solution to escape such situations with head high is to stay calm. Exactly stay calm on that situation would probably help you a lot and set your mind for what is good and for what is the best way for. |

I feel that you are taking its wrong. He may have the enough amount of invest with him. That's why he is asking some tactics about trading. Sharing of your experience will help him for sure. However, even also has the take it as serious and do research about it much. Now trading is best option you do in bitcoin due to BIP148 and 91. After it is completed you do it in any platform. He just need an advice for what would be the best and this question may help a lot of new traders. Although he cant invest for now but hopefully if he can get a lot of advice experience he will do this. |

i'm one who spend too much time for trading. I made so many stupid mistakes because of thinking emotionally instead of logically.  what is your opinion? That's what will happen if you observe too much the movement on the exchange. You will see all the drops and pumps and your emotions will come to play when you see the fluctuations. That's why its better to juat leave it for a bit when you buy. Just leave an order and check it every once in a while. I also do this exactly as you say on the sidelines of time I always take the time to see my order in exchange. After the market I always take the time to come to this forum Exactly what i do too for me taking too much time is not bad just like what they said you see the up and down but if you are a good trader for the time you see it down and you dont panic at all that would be great. So for me just let what you trade and take your time in forum and after that you can also check your trade. |

My biggest problem in trading is that I was too brave to buy altcoin at a high price, and because of that I often lost my btc, even once I lost 50% of my btc when I bought altcoin at a price far above ICO.
So please give me feedback on this, what should I do?
Firstly, you should not be over confident. Secondly, stop selling bitcoins for altcoins. Altcoins are nothing as compared to bitcoins. It’s as if you are selling diamond for purchasing gold. Even when the prices of bitcoins are dumping, it’s damn obvious that they will recover with a huge margin. So just stay patient when prices are low. Instead of panicking, hold onto your bitcoins. I don't agree with you, we have different strategy to improve our income and I believe buying altcoins could give us money also as not all altcoins are shitcoins. If you check on the top 10 market, some of those altcoins are cheap before but they grow more than 50 times which I think would not be possible anymore in a short period of time if you put your money with bitcoin alone. yes that is right different people have different interested, some people like to trade bitcoin and they mostly hold their bitcoin while other people like to invest money in altcoin from where they can get good profit even by investing small amount of money. For me thats right we have our own strategy its not a bad decision that if you are switch from bitcoin to altcoin it will be good on how you trade it. For me not all the time btc is good even it is a mother of all coin. |

Exactly I agree with you. This is the great time to buy and hold some coin. I am also waiting for the correct time when some coin price will be so low. Then I will buy some coin and hold it for a long time. Really This is the great opportunity for crypto Trader. I think all of we should avail this opportunity. No need to wait for 3 to 4 years coming year this time I think ETH price will cross $500. This is my expectation, but this depends on August 1st if the BTC split 2 coins then this effect will cause to ETH price also. Let's see what will happen just 4 days left. After August 1st, if there will be a strong negative in bitcoin, and all will be fine, many will sell Ethereum and bitcoin to buy. The Ethereum today reached its maximum has gone in the opposite direction. Bitcoin is in a bull market! Traders cryptocurrency used quickly to make a profit  they will not wait for the growth of Ethereum and will pump up the bitcoin.... Why there should be a strong negative on bitcoin after august 1? So I guess it is now Ethereum , but it may change any moment again, and again and again Yes as of now ethereum is the most popular agree for that as i see the rank of eth it is good and hope it would never change hoping that eth would go as good as now as how it move. Sa akin naman kumikita ako ng 200php plus per week kaya kung irarate ko siya nasa 3 lang. Oo, sa ngayon maliit lang talaga pero medyo okay okay narin sa akin kasi atleast may kinikita ako kesa naman sa wala. At isa pa alam ko rin na sa mga susunod matututo rin ako ng iba pang mga paraan, kaya sa ngayon pag-aaralan ko pa muna talaga ang bitcoin para maging bihasa narin ako dito at nang lumaki ang kita ko. Ok na yang kinikita mo atleast meron diba ako nga eh magkano lang din per week pero hindi na masama kasi kahit papano malaking tulong na rin ng malaki ang kinikita ko dito. Pang baon ko sa school kase yung sahod ko sa trabaho kulang eh. |

I don't think this might happen. coz i see altcoin as an element which preserves balance to the crypto world. just how you observe in the real world. the bitcoin act as the usd for the universal currency and the
altcoin are those other currencies. it maybe simple but i guess it's a concrete explanation to sum things up.

Of course yes, i still support ethereum with trading it on exchangers, i used ethereum to buy ICO be builded on ethereum's blockchain and i know about the risk losing money with invested into ethereum and the ICOs be builded on ethereum's blockchain even if i don't make invest in any other instrument of investment, i will be losing value of money because of the inflation, so losing money in ethereum is not problem because i have made calculating about it before.
I do the same becasue ethereum is used for initial coin offering contibutions and is a main altcoin for trade on Bittrex. I don't see any reason not to support ethereum. The hack thing is not the fault of ethereum anyways. I keep supporting it. Yes there is no reason to not support eth. As of now eth is good to invest thats for my opinion . So for me i keep supporting eth too. |

It seems to me you don't have good knowledge of trading currency or crypto currency. For you to succeed in trading crypto currency there is need for you to have a good knowledge of what trading is all about particularly crypto currency. And if you want to get an expert advise you then have to pay some Satoshi for that there is no free lunch any where even in free town. My humble advise is that , there are other ways to invest your money in crypto currency which will earn reasonable profit on your investment.
Many people trade in the market without understanding the worth of market and the goods in which they are going to trade. I think a man must have to be acknowledged of the market as well as goods in the market. If you go for trade in the market, you have to select the goods of low price, it is right that the earning of these type of products are very least but it will be confirmed that there will be no loss in the business in case of selling the goods. In trading; selection of goods regarding their worth in the market and best time for sailing out the product in the market are most important. I think bitcoin is good product for trading now a days. For me I think altcoin price dump when bitcoin is rising because their is massive buying and adoption of bitcoin. While altcoin is less popular than bitcoin. Nowadays bitcoin is the top leading cryptocurrency and eays to exchange to fiat thats why people most use bitcoin than altcoin.
I agree with you that in the case of large bitcoin purchases and large adoptions will certainly have a price reduction to altcoin, since altcoin is not as popular as bitcoin, and most people will always trade with altcoin at a time when bitcoin prices are rising. So if there is a change in bitcoin it truly affects altcoin cause bitcoin is the maybe the most highest coin of all and when there is a price change it truly affects altcoin too maybe its because of panic selling and now it never back. |

Panic selling is just for those people who doesn't believe on what would be the outcome of bitcoins future but for those knowledgable people around im so sure that they grab the oppurtunity of last weeks downfall. And look what happen now? they earn with that and their earning is not just cents but instead thousands of dollars, so if you still have a doubt with bitcoins then you should learn its movement so that you can figure it out on how bitcoins grow healthier.
Panic sellers are not only amateurs or low self esteem people, there are also professional traders that take role in panic sellings of coins. Panicking is normal, but this (panic) should not cause a mistake. This could be my first experience here for what happen right now in crypto we cant avoid panicking like now and yes some of traders will panic because for what was happening now but hope it would be ok soon. |

A lot of ico in this month, but I'm more interested in joining ShadowToken, hopefully this project is a success. I joined in a signature campaign. Yeah me too., I know that this Shadowtoken is an interesting ICO project because they has interesting game! and this ico project will also succeed.
