361  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Russia to invest into Bitcoins to mitigate US sanctions - Blockmanity on: January 09, 2019, 06:23:16 AM
a country is not going to buy bitcoin at this point that it is still small, maybe in a couple of years that the adoption grows bigger they do it but not at this point where it is still small.
and most definitely they wouldn't let anybody know about it if they do buy bitcoin. this is so far the imagination of one person who is theorycrafting here.

countries are creating their own altcoin based on bitcoin's technology.
362  Economy / Speculation / Re: Yearly All Time Lows For BTC on: January 09, 2019, 06:14:09 AM
2012 - $4
2013 - $65
2014 - $200
2015 - $185
2016 - $365
2017 - $780
2018 - $3200

Puts a lot into perspective.

All time lows which you can profit at the very least. Just not focus on Bitcoin and you can profit enough.

Plus all those prices are still pretty above the ICO price. and by far 1000% above it.

as an investment, and specially when it comes to long term (meaning anything more than a year) you can not find anything in the whole world (not just among cryptocurrencies) that can outperform bitcoin. specially since it is not only about profit but the risks too. and the risks of investing in bitcoin compared to the profit of it is minimal.

when it comes to short term (from a couple of hours to about a week) you can be correct about shitcoins, and shittokens of ICOs. they can get pumped and give you a lot of profit but that profit only lasts a short time and the risks are astronomically high.
363  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will we see IOTA back in top 10? on: January 05, 2019, 08:24:06 AM
in my opinion IOTA suffers from a common mistake among altcoins which is having a huge supply. a lot of coins even the bigger ones on top ten are also suffering from this but they don't show it as much because they are hyped up a lot that it is covering it for the time being until it explodes in their face.

in short when some altcoin has a huge supply its price will continue to drop and can not be among high values.
364  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: The Bitcoin Flippening on: January 05, 2019, 08:06:43 AM
when some shitcoin pumps it doesn't mean it is going to replace bitcoin. it just means the pumpers moved from some other shitcoin they were pumping before to this new shitcoin to pump for a while and then dump to move on to another shitcoin and so on until they are filthy rich from the pumps.

that is what has been happening the altcoin market for nearly 8-9 years which is as long as it existed. the pumpers pump shitcoins and then some naive people think these shitcoins suddenly became good projects with a good future capable of coming even close to bitcoin Cheesy
it ales me to see sometimes older members are among these naive people...
365  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Buy on rumour and sell on news. on: January 05, 2019, 07:55:46 AM
it is easy only in theory but not in reality.

in reality you have no way of knowing what is the best time to buy based on some bullshit rumor online since the internet is filled with them every day.

so i'd say the best strategy is to only look at what matters the most: the charts.
when you look at them you can see everything there is to know about the altcoins. for example the volume that is going into a shitcoin before it is pumped. and you can use that kind of "pumping signal" to buy in and enjoy the short lived pump and then look for the exit signs and dump right away to get your profit out successfully.
366  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can we take FOMO out of investors? on: January 05, 2019, 07:41:22 AM
no you can't change how people (mostly newbies) react to this market. they are always irrational. and it is not only about FOMO, there is a lot of weird things the newbies do.
* they bag hold when they have to sell.
* they sell when the dump is over and price is at bottom
* they refuse to buy real things with good future like bitcoin when the price is already low.
* they buy shitcoins with no future and when they are obviously pump and dump.
* they buy when the prices are already pumped and is in a bubble out of FOMO

and there is nothing you can do to change this attitude. all you can do is to learn from their mistakes and not repeat them yourself.
367  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How Did Ethereum Take Over Ripple With 80% Gain in One Month? on: January 05, 2019, 07:30:36 AM
it is very misleading when you only look at the price of an altcoin like this after its recovery from a gigantic dump. the $150 is not a 80% rise instead $150 is a -90% drop!

and that is how you need to analyze the market by looking at the big picture not the small term misleading numbers. the price dropped about 95% and then it recovered 5% of that gigantic drop in the past month or so by going back up a little which was mostly because of bitcoin price rise + the upcoming fork hype that they are trying so hard to turn into a pump
368  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Revolution or a new start? on: January 05, 2019, 07:21:58 AM
Paying tax with bitcoin? Then what will the government do when its prices hike up? How about its accounting?

It is indeed a revolution. But how will they cope up with the excess gains and losses?

the government is not really accepting bitcoin on a large scale. i have only heard about some rare cases like one state doing this. and then it is a matter of who is willing to take that chance and pay with bitcoin!
so in the end you will see that the total amount received through bitcoin isn't that much. and who is to say what they will do with it. maybe they liquidate it right away through a service like Bitpay with some contract or something.
369  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin as a better store of value than gold on: January 05, 2019, 07:08:14 AM
I won't compare between bitcoin and gold because it's different and both bitcoin and gold have pros and con. People in out there still prefer to store gold because they don't know about bitcoin. But for people who know bitcoin, they will save bitcoin and gold at the same time, and they use both bitcoin and gold as their investment.

it is a mistake to compare bitcoin of today with gold of today and then talk about their pros and cons like this. most of the "cons" that you think bitcoin has comes from it being brand new and fresh in the market. it just turned 10 while gold has been around for hundreds of years and have been used as a store of value just as long.
370  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: blockchain growth in Malaysia on: January 05, 2019, 07:02:48 AM
i always find it pretty strange when they try using the blockchain technology in some field that is not even related to the technology itself and usage of it can even make it less secure or less efficient.
in this case usage of a smaller blockchain technology such as NEM is even more strange since smaller projects are riskier to use because of possible bugs, unclear future and attack surfaces they have which can not be known right now.
371  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Ethereum Rally into Constantinople Fork / Alt-Season (Risk on) on: December 26, 2018, 08:24:07 AM
altcoins are always known to pump big time in short term but that has never meant they are "outperforming" bitcoin because a pump is not a performance to be better or worse than what bitcoin has. a pump is a manipulation of the market price with creating fake demand and usually is accompanied by hype.

right now it is the fork hype that is building up in ETH and the recovery so far was purely because of bitcoin price recovery.

the pump can only be successful depending on how successful the hype is going to be and how much money the foundation is willing to burn while pumping it.

like always i will be watching to see if there is any signs of pump-momentum on the charts and to jump on board and dump it fast to get a quick short term profit out.
i have already done it recently and made a good profit from the recent recovery/mini-pump. Cheesy
372  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: a factor that will make bitcoin recover on: December 26, 2018, 07:59:18 AM
then the question is what will make bitcoin recover and can have high prices again?

only time!

every other factor is already in place. the adoption is growing and bitcoin is functioning perfectly while it is still being improved and with additions such as lightning network it will even become a serious threat to the banking system and all the big payment processors.

right now only time is required so that the whale manipulators are satisfied with their accumulation of cheap bitcoin before they can lift the dumping pressure and price can shoot up like 2017 again.
373  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Regulations are required for ICO & Bounties on: December 26, 2018, 07:50:17 AM
but regulations can also bring in a lot more manipulation from the big players that have a lot of experience in bigger markets and how to manipulate them.
if you think pump and dump of altcoins were bad so far, wait until you see some big players enter and really dump the altcoins on you and make you lose a lot of money.
374  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [Talk with Vitalik] Does ETH need transaction fee? on: December 26, 2018, 07:41:19 AM
ETH model simply is not going to work because it is quite a limiting model based on blockchain and it will suffer. the most obvious thing is the scaling problems that it has always had which is showing themselves in fees. without fees a blockchain based token like ether is going to be spammed to death in less than a week and there is nothing they can do about it.

if they go off-chain solution then there is no point in ETH to even exist anymore because bitcoin already has off-chain solutions for a much more powerful and more secure smart contracts already in place and it is on top of bitcoin so that is a big perk right there.
375  Economy / Speculation / Re: 2011 People Called Bitcoin's Price of $0.70 "Ridiculous"... on: December 26, 2018, 07:33:10 AM
that is why you should never listen to what others tell you on the internet specially when it comes to money. they will never be helpful to you, anybody who is wasting their time posting things online is doing it for their own benefit.

and it is not only about the negative comments about bitcoin. it is true about everything and both positive and negative comments.
376  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Let me be clear to you, this is not a Bear Martket! on: December 26, 2018, 07:16:23 AM
Spoken like a true shill. <Just check his post history, it's about 99% negative about Bitcoin>  Roll Eyes

Bitcoin adoption is growing stronger at a steady pace and we are not in a rush to prove you wrong, because history has already proven you wrong, several times before.  Grin

The Lightning Network is growing bigger and Bitcoin ATMs are being distributed at a astonishing rate and SegWit adoption is almost 100% matured now.  Grin

he is no longer negative about bitcoin, he is now purely bullshitting about bitcoin Cheesy
and that surprises me because in this forum it seems like people don't look good at spammers but at the same time people like OP get away with spamming a couple of new topics repeating the same thing every day!!!
377  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ETH Price Speculation for next bull run on: December 25, 2018, 01:18:28 PM
in my experience when an altcoin is pumped and dumped on this big scale that ETH has been pumped and dumped, the next round of its pump is never going to be as big. so your target ATH should be at most around $500 at best case scenario.

additionally if you consider the fact that the only reason why it got pumped that much was because of the ICO hype of 2017 which was a one time thing, you can see that even $500 is not possible anymore.

not to mention that when the pump began 2 years ago the supply of ether has been tiny compare to $>110 million of today.
378  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Should Cryptocurrenies be regulated??! Thoughts about that? on: December 25, 2018, 01:00:38 PM
What kind of regulation we need for the crypto currency usage?

Only exchanges can be regulated not the user's wallet so if someone want to use crypto currency in their way then they can use it with no restrictions but for spending it maybe regulated and it is much appreciated since it builts trust among people.

all the altcoins are only used inside exchanges so there is only one usability for them and that is trading and what regulations mean for them is regulating the exchanges. and doing that means 100% regulation of altcoins because it will cover all their use cases.
in which case it can even be a good thing because exchanges are always the weakest link as they get hacked, scam users and run away,... and regulations can reduce the risks (not remove but lower them).
379  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Buying ETH/Bitcoin using Paypal on: December 25, 2018, 12:50:47 PM
people in cryptocurrency world are always wanting to buy with paypal not sell for it. in other words you will always find many who are willing to give paypal and receive bitcoin but nobody who accepts it.
it is because of the reversibility of paypal payments plus the fact that it is illegal to use it for digital currencies according to their terms of services.
380  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I've just put ALL my student savings into TURTLECOIN ($50K) on: December 25, 2018, 12:38:32 PM
Obviously, if there is a bull run and the coin makes x100 - x1000 then it doesn’t matter how many times its price drops.

Even by 100% or 200%, but then it will grow by 1000%.

Of course, if the plan works and if there is a bull run and if this particular coin makes XXX.

Too much if.

one thing that has been the case with most of the pump and dump unknown altcoins like this one that OP is advertising is that these coins get pumped a lot but only in a short time. for example they go from 100 satoshi to 5000 satoshi and then get dumped down to 50 satoshi because everyone leaves it after the massive dump. in other words it goes even lower than its initial price so there is no winning.

and OP seems to be oblivious to pump and dumps or pretends to be.
