361  Other / Off-topic / Re: Why MP is your God. on: August 12, 2013, 04:08:31 AM
A fact?  You mean snipes in a private IRC channel

No, I don't mean snipes. And no, not a private IRC channel, just a channel where retards such as you aren't opped.

Incidentally, the reason retards like you aren't opped is because channels where naive people op retards like you go to shit. The sociological term is Gmaxwell evaporation, ie that process whereby smart people leave and you are left, with your "coworkers" or whatever you call the other retards.

Case in point about slinging infinite shit and eventually getting a few hits.

Your original post is an excellent example of what I mean. You try to pass off two half truths in two lines. The first is trying to wash the dubious "oh hey, please make me look like I have control of BTC I don't have control of because for the lulz srsly". The other's trying to imply that Gigavps stealing from everyone is somehow related to MP. This is why you're universally despised: because, again, you're an untrustworthy duplicitous piece of shit. Don't let the passive politeness of the geeks deceive you: nobody [else] is telling you this because you're not worth their time, not for any other reason.

As for the "dutifully" and "laughing", you can tell the midnightmagic muppet that any time he's ready to discuss the supreme character of nzhang he's more than welcome to show his face again. I'm half tempted to dig through the logs for some actual examples of laughable insanity, but I'll pass. Not really worth my time.

But hey, if someone with a ignore throbby that has a color indicating some kind of serious urinary tract infection

Yeah yeah, you'd like to be cool, you'd like to argue with me and all that. Sadly you don't have what it takes, go back to porking the refuse of Wikipedia or whatever it is you do with yourself.

who can't handle being asked to stop distributing apparent underage nudies

This would be a third. Allow me to jog your memory, you untrustworthy, duplicitous piece of shit you.

Apr 02 01:51:28 <mircea_popescu>   vragnaroda the entire nsfw argument is facetious. people aren't looking for a place to specifically discuss random things some subset has decided "is undecorous"
Apr 02 01:51:38 <mircea_popescu>   people enjoy the freedom to discuss whatever they feel like discussing.
Apr 02 01:51:54 <vragnaroda>   BTCHero: erry's +Vv there, not +o.
Apr 02 01:52:07 <BTCHero>   oh
Apr 02 01:52:15 <vragnaroda>   She used to be +o.
Apr 02 01:52:19 <copumpkin>   mircea_popescu: then I guess they can do it elsewhere, since the founder of the channel would prefer to take it in a different direction
Apr 02 01:52:34 <copumpkin>   and IRC is neither democracy nor anarchy, it seems
Apr 02 01:52:36 <mircea_popescu>   the founder is a sort of superservant,
Apr 02 01:52:40 <mircea_popescu>   not a sort of superowner.
Apr 02 01:52:47 <vragnaroda>   And I just removed that +Vv, too.
Apr 02 01:53:05 <terry>   gmaxwell: Also, I would rather my coworker join -foyer. That's trading! If you mention maxi pads without the intent of selling or buying one, you're out. This is OTC, we socialize, talk, and build and lose trust in eachother, sometimes we trade. It would be awfully stiff if I couldn't expect the same level of comfort in here as I would when talking with some of my friends. I'm sorry you didn't app
Apr 02 01:53:05 <terry>   reciate my joke about maxi pads, but that's all it was: a joke.
Apr 02 01:53:32 <copumpkin>   terry: what's the big deal? http://notrichyet.wordpress.com/2012/03/23/whats-the-big-deal/
Apr 02 01:53:47 <copumpkin>   (a good read if you haven't already)
Apr 02 01:53:47 <mircea_popescu>   actually... i thought foyer was for socializing.
Apr 02 01:53:58 <terry>   crap, I meant -pit
Apr 02 01:54:00 <terry>   sorry
Apr 02 01:54:02 <draco49>   That, and scams.
Apr 02 01:54:30 <ataranlen>   LOL @  #bitcoin-otc-nsfw is a danieldaniel free zone.
Apr 02 01:54:43 <mircea_popescu>   copumpkin : i read that. it fails to register as a valid argument.
Apr 02 01:54:58 <copumpkin>   mircea_popescu: he addresses that reaction in the article
Apr 02 01:55:13 <gmaxwell>   There is this great concept in social sciences called evaporative cooling, where people drive out everyone who isn't likeminded making a more and more homogeneous group. A number of people weren't happy with the direction this channel was cooling in.
Apr 02 01:55:13 <mircea_popescu>   copumpkin in thesame braindamaged way as the entire rest of the article, yes he "addresses" it.
Apr 02 01:55:29 <PaulZag>   problem is that the chat creates trust. -pit is trade only an nobody moitors it closely enough to be useful.
Apr 02 01:55:30 <mircea_popescu>   "a number" sounds rather fascist in this context
Apr 02 01:55:38 <mircea_popescu>   and i mean that literally.
Apr 02 01:55:43 *   gribble gives voice to ataranlen
Apr 02 01:55:50 <copumpkin>   mircea_popescu: if you don't like it, you can do it elsewhere, I guess, since arguing is clearly going to get you nowhere
Apr 02 01:55:56 <gmaxwell>   Turns out you can force evaporation with a little boiling too. And if that means we need to remove a few people who think that fart jokes are the pinnicle of public humor, so be it.
Apr 02 01:56:06 <mircea_popescu>   copumpkin seems that is quite reciprocable as an "argument".
Apr 02 01:56:14 <copumpkin>   that wasn't an argument on my part
Apr 02 01:56:25 <copumpkin>   I'm saying that arguing against what gmaxwell is doing is obviously pointless
Apr 02 01:56:34 <mircea_popescu>   gmaxwell you seem to think (mistakenly) that public discourse can be "shaped". others have tried. all have failed.

Go ahead, explain how untrustworthy, duplicitous pieces of shit can't handle being called out for it. Then explain how they try and make it look like something else, anything else. Then look around and see why it fails. Or what, you imagined nanotube was going to be begging your betters to tolerate your idiocy an infinite number of times?

in a general commerce IRC channel

I still don't know what you imagine your connection with BTC commerce is. Go ahead and explain it, you carry the coffee trays/empty the ashtrays and therefore are qualified or what is it?

closed clique of sycophants

That's what I always figured. You would think one of them would know CSS, no?

Every time that guy discusses "closed cliques" and "sycophants" God kills a Power

362  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Get a REFUND from Yifu for Avalon chips on: August 12, 2013, 04:04:59 AM
So who wants to begin telling role to role based story telling.  I think we need to not play total victum here.  We don't want any gov to use this as another tool to ban the Bitcoin. With all due respe to the Pirate40 investors.  Shit could have been handled different.

For one don't make shit worse and sell chips.  The least amoun of paper trail the easier it is to drop a hammer if needed.
Use your voice. Social Media, Personal websites etc. Don't allow the media to smear crypto of this go's epic. Talk about the Open Source  beauty that has been lost.  If you are like me at this point wr would rather have the chips.  This is a mile stone project.  DYI Miners = Pure Open Source.  What other online community could have done this shit!

One Week GPU Miner Standoff

Lawyers and the lot are going to cost money if this go's to legal action.  I say we group fund some guns. For one week w e pool our "Extra" Rigs.  Rebuild and recall the fleet of torn down GPU miners.  Take photos of our rigs with some FU Avalon scribble.  Then after that week pool the mined btc for fighting back.

Lots can be done but I do not believe idle hands will win

364  Economy / Goods / [WTS] Out of print and rare Dr Who Spin Offs on: August 10, 2013, 07:51:46 PM
This is one mix for any Dr who fan.  Here we have a few out of print editions of some popular Dr who Spin-Offs.

P.R.O.B.E - Much like torchwood ended up beibg without all the gay over tones.  This show used a cast of known abd loved Dr Who stars even a few doctors. Few cool fan lore

The Dr Who movies.

Before Peter Cushing was getting choked out by darth vader on the bridge of the Death Star.  He was Dr Who.  This is a slightly different take on our fav time lord.  Infact ge isn't a time lord at all  well worth watching as this ended up being the base for a ton of whovian advertiseing

Wartime
Downtime

These two films wher the first ever dr who spin off shows.  The first deals with a side story with Sgt Benson and the other produces a Fantastic dr who yetti story that actually picks up years after the 2 Doctor encouters the yetti.

The copy of Wartime is signed on the cover and on the tape label by John Levene in 1991.

Auton
Auton 2

This is a story relsteing to the Autons and follows along with the several Auton attacks the Third Doctor faced.  Its actually very good and the Autons take the show

Did you meet posting and activity requirements?

Did you strip third party ad's other then projects of your own from your sig space?

Did you post your inputs.io user name with link in a post or place it in your sig?

If you didn't do the above stated before being hostile.  Then you need to go back and take baby steps to correct this.  If you already did this I doubt he's ignoreing you.  TF is pretty busy.  You just started so it's not like it's the 11th hour and you need to confirm this. You can walk away now healthly. No loss no scam.

This isn't a binding contract people.  This is a nice way to score an extra $20-$40 a year if he keeps paying. But in no way aee you bound to him. His rules are clear and no real noodle power is required

371  Economy / Goods / [WTS] 4 Foot Grabd Lodge Of England Masonic Standard (Banner) on: July 29, 2013, 08:02:02 PM

Up for grabs is a veey neat Grand Lodge Of England Masonic Standard.  The image you see is the offical 1717 Seal of the GL of England. Ofcourse they don't make them like this anymore.  Fabrics cointain actual gold,  silk and velvet. The actual image on the banner has some slight wear.  But is to be expected as it is over 100 years old and has seen Lodge and other uses.

I'm asking 1.3 BTC for it.  PM lets make a deal
372  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: Bicknellski K1 Nano USA group buy interest on: July 25, 2013, 10:33:28 PM
This is why it sucks ass to get involved on the ground floor.  Sure it's new and exciting and fun. But the fact is people post these things not knowing shit. How in the fuck is it going to cost $7 a unit? for something that weight wise will see more ounces in the packageing of the lot then the item itself. Isn't it $7-12  for up to 8 pounds?  I've shipped 11 pound items for less then this speculation. Beggers can't be choosers but my fucking god man.  Buy 4 pay for 5?
373  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Bitmit - Bitcoin shopping mall - Bitcoin market place - Bitcoin auction house on: July 24, 2013, 12:16:09 AM
Well if bitmit doesn't help me recover my funds that have been blatentently stolen from me I will not be supporting them anymore

As saod in my last posting. Zthis seller has gone two weeks now. Not a word not even a fuck you. Actually day 13 I got a fuck you then he marked the item as shipped and denyed release of coins.  In 7 more days HE will have my coins.  Atleast that's what the escrow now says.  I habe no more options to protest.

This is my first bad deal with bitcoin so if this sounds like a noobish fret, bitch etc.  It's probably because of that fact it's the first time.

374  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Bitmit - Bitcoin shopping mall - Bitcoin market place - Bitcoin auction house on: July 23, 2013, 12:58:45 AM
I've got a huge problem. .. I have a seller who does not reply to messages and is holding my coin with no shipping. He declined to return my bitcoins after waiting. Now he has set the item to shipped and hasn't.  It appears several people have had this problem abd have even marked his feedback in the negative because of it.

20962 is the order number.  Please help!  Lol

376  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bounties for Hunting down Scammers on: July 19, 2013, 06:53:10 PM

No offense OP but this post seems as if no brain activity went into it. So much red tape is involved with collections. And the extent of that tape comes in variety.

In the state I reside in.  An agency cannot hunt you down.  They can't call your job or friends or family.  Unless ofcourse any of that infomation is given at the time they are put to work by the lender/victum.  Also they have to identify themselves. They cannot trick you into identifying yoursekf or even give the impression they are some long lost bff trying to connect.

Of course you are talking more the fixxer role. Bust some knees for BTC.  Yeah no.  I don't think any legal systen is going to favor someone on trial for severely beating someone or killing them over digital currency.

377  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Bitmit - Bitcoin shopping mall - Bitcoin market place - Bitcoin auction house on: July 15, 2013, 07:54:29 PM
Bitmit gone, say bye bye to your money.

Some Million dollar worth bitcoins gone.
Even it might be hard to imagine for you but there are also serious bitcoiners out there who would not be able to live good when they stole btcs..

SORRY for no response guys! Bitmit was/is facing a DDOS attack and our hoster decided to take the server temp. offline to protect the network. I am working to get it online again. I hoping this can be done in the next hour.

Why DDOS Bitmit?  Seriously just something to pass the time or what.  At anyrate thanks for the update.  Hope to see the market open soon
