There is no need to further add an embarrassment to his career and be a stepping stone for the young ones because there is no need for him to prove anything as he already became one of the best boxers ever that has fought at 118. A retirement after a loss in this fight is the best thing to do but if it's the opposite, he surely need to have a fight much sooner if possible because time is not on his side anymore. If he manage to win and still wanted to continue fighting, I guess it should be more sooner. He's been traded after winning the title with Lakers and now he's with the Denver Nuggets. I hope that he won't be traded again and he's good to stay with his team. They've got a chemistry and he's always there when he's needed on those important minutes of the game.
The Nuggets' management will make a big mistake if they don't keep their current roster for at least one more season. As for KCP, he's under contract with the Nuggets until the end of the 24/25 season. So I wouldn't worry about him because he will most likely be with the Nuggets. Anyway, the season is officially over, and now it's offseason time. I even wonder if there will be any major trades between other teams this summer or not. I'm assuming that big trades will take place after we witness great improvement with the Nugget's lineup. They are complete in terms of individual capabilities, the role players are producing numbers that really helps the team when it's needed, I'm sure that the management will try to keep them as it is till the next season, more on other teams to take a good trade to matchup with the Nuggets. |

I really want to see the Miami Heat cause some problems for the Nuggets.
I see that many people like that to happen but the reality is making us see on where is this going. Personally, I would like to see the Miami Heat win this game. Because that is going to make things a lot more interesting. I also want to see the final get decided on the 7th game.
You're not alone on this thought but it's convincing that this is really going with the Nuggets whether we like it or not. And if ever the Heat wins the game then we'd see some more chance for them. It is indeed a big break for Santiago and if he is lucky/talented enough to defeat the legendary boxer then his career will be boosted and will be aligning him to be one of the elites.
Sometimes legends need to have one good last fight before they decide to retired and this might be it if Santiago will perform well and knockout Donaire at early rounds. And I think that would be enough for Donaire to conclude his career and give a chance for the younger figthers to shine in this era and make their own name especially Santiago this is his chance to be on the spot light if he get the win here in this fight. Yup! If Donaire see that he's speed and power is no longer match to this new generation's figther.
