361  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: valuable altcoins on: October 03, 2017, 01:08:12 PM
For the past month, price of most altcoins dropped a lot. It's a good time to invest now.
I plan to invest 20,000 $ for altcoins. I appreciate if you guys can recommend some valuable altcoins.
The most valuable altcoins as of now are Ethereum and Litecoin, but I don't think this is an ideal time to invest on those two. If you would like to invest your money, try those with lower values like Steem, Ripple, and NEM. At this point, Steem is worth $1.24 with a market cap of around $300M, Ripple is worth $0.2 with a market cap of $7B (which I think is the most among all cryptocurrencies), and NEM is worth $0.23 with a market cap of $2B.

I think, these three altcoins are the best if you're gonna invest your money. Not only you can buy a lot of these coins due to its low value, there is also a low risk when it comes on your investment since these have a high market cap. I also expect these to become the next big things among the altcoins.

The nice idea about in order that you cannot invest all your money on those altcoins, you can find good project ico for a promising coins to go so far and joing their campaigns together with the investments you had. That's more low risk at all, because as you earn tokens from the ico campaigns you also gain returns from the capital of you investments. You profit also rises as demand will tool over when the project succeeded.
362  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Is it safe to run a GPU under 45 degrees ? on: October 03, 2017, 12:21:16 PM
I'd look up the operating temperature range specified by the manufacturer in the specifications, you can always find them online. Moisture from condensation is the most serious problem. If you start the miners up when it isn't too cold they should also help keep the garage warm. So invest in a thermometer and keep an eye on it when the weather turns.

Yes that's right, you should maintain it's temperature at an optimum level and with the help of thermometer it can be easily link to the cpu fan controls in order to boost the cooling system fast. When there's a presence of heat, typically the place will be warm, so you must keep the surrounding temperature also cold to avoid any overheating that can damage your mining hardwares.

I can imagine its a relief now that LTC is out of your portfolio. Looked at LTC for a possible future investment but was kinda unsure about it too (it already ballooned from barely $4 in the last 6 months). Do you consider DGB to be a long-term investment? Personally I plan to get rid of them as soon as they result in a measurable profit.

Latest graph of yours still show a solid trend (with 'usual' ups and downs) towards the threshold of 100K!
definitely need to pay attention to another currency, because you really do not earn anything if for such a long time the rate has increased by only $ 4 ..

I guess it really needs to have more enough patience as you see fluctuations ups and downs was concerned here. Nevermind those other currencies while looking unto the holdings that you are focusing, and if you wanted your assets to grow you should maintain the long term goal no matter what happens.
364  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: etherdelta explanation on: September 26, 2017, 10:41:17 PM
Hello, please I need a detailed explanation on how etherdelta works, I don't want to get burnt as a first timer,
Buying and selling, placing order and all necessary hints I need to know.
I hear I can sell an ICO there, a coin that is just in development stage, that have not even hit an exchange. Thanks
If you want more detailed explanation in etherdelta, go search online or watch some videos in helpful sites like youtube.I used etherdelta so many times, first if you want to sell your coins just go to the , "NEW ORDER" menu but you must deposit first by importing your wallet " import account" that has a token in it, then choose the token that you have in the upper left corner and then you can now sell it.

This steps must not be wrong in execution to avoid errors from coming out. There's explanations to be followed online, but it's enough that you read this thread here because most of the comments comes from traders including me. Upon importing your wallet, you should keep the private key secure and don't ever store the keys at your public post if ever you posted mistakenly. Etherdelta has a very fast trading mode of transactions, that's why many traders trusted this site because it's very secured.
365  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Mining now is it too late? on: September 25, 2017, 07:23:25 PM
Mining is a long term investment strategy. If you are looking to make quick cash by investing in a mining rig, that's probably not going to happen and you should listen to your friends. If you don't care about making a quick profit and want to accumulate coins for the long term instead, then mining is certainly an option.

Thant's what I'm doing. I was able to get 5.3cents/KWh & while difficulty is always rising it seems to me anyone smart enough to not expect fast returns & is willing to adjust their strategy with the market can still do well. I'm mining Eth right now but I'm watching many other options everyday always looking for the changes.

That's a better idea, you should be more careful on how the coins that you are mining went well. For me it's not going to be bad now for eth and as it rises lately it's current value. That's why people who invest for it nowadays begun to hold their token and other investors also buying eth same as you are mining it.
366  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Best signature bounties? on: September 18, 2017, 02:12:53 AM
Any good signature bounties coming up? KICKICO is winding down, can't find any quality upcoming ICOs with signature campaigns
How do you know which ICO is good and which isn't?
You know, it is really hard to catch up all these incoming ICO's, i start reading first page in announcement board and by the time i finish reading, next 3 pages are bumped so i don't even know what i missed  Roll Eyes
It is difficult to know a good ICO now because of the scammers. Scammers can simulate a good idea but most times not a good and reputable team. You can only check the project idea, team behind it and valuation of the project.

For me it's not difficult to select those good ICO's because once you've checked the actual situation in the project website,  you already see the current progress. So you can easily be having a perception whether it's legit or a scam ico.
367  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: how to start trading? on: September 17, 2017, 10:47:29 PM
Start trading by simply depositing money on an account you create on a trading website.

Trading doesn't need to be agressively having a hard cash investments to be converted with bitcoin anf traded with altcoins. But there are many ways to earn tokens to be traded lioe when you are joining bounty campaigns and you will learn how to do it eventually.
368  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: I quit trading on: September 07, 2017, 02:53:58 PM
I will not quit, not until i earn much from trading. I should try more to get what i want. I should try other strategies to improve my techniques. If others can do it, maybe i can do it also. I just need more time and money.

You might have lost a lot before you learn how to trade.

370  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Hacked Modified Memory Strap BIOS Database for ZEC MINING! on: August 14, 2017, 04:54:13 PM
Is it safe to use ATIWinflash to flash BIOS ? How do you flash bios ?
I have MSI R9 280X 3GB

There is no problem. You can use that.
371  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's ZCash AMD GPU Miner v12.5 (Windows/Linux) on: July 19, 2017, 06:26:30 AM
Would any of these old cards work?
  • HD 5770 1GB GDDR 5 , memory clock of 2400MHz
  • R7750 Core 2GB GDDR3 memory clock of 1300 MHz
Thanks in advance!

7750 might work.
372  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Fifth alt coin thread last four got too big. on: July 14, 2017, 07:39:10 AM
the price for 1070s and 1080ti's have been raised by ~ 15% in the past days even at major wholesalers - not sure if they just want to make more money or if the manufacturers already raised their prices for wholesalers.

Yeah amazing...all the 1070's that I bought 6 weeks are now 20% higher in price. Good for resale but I want to buy more..lol.

I think 1070 is good for mining both the ETH and ZEC. So it is more demanded.
373  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's ZCash AMD GPU Miner v12.5 (Windows/Linux) on: June 21, 2017, 05:42:48 PM
Hi all,

May I ask for a little advice - I have been mining zec for 6 months now.  I have 6GPU's - a mixture of 7970's and 7950's.

Am I still better mining Zcash or should I switch back to Ether? - I remember reading somewhere that ethereum mining uses less power?

any advice appreciated.

thanks

There's no point in mining ETH or ETC due to large DAG size and the ~50% reduced hashrate with Tahiti chips but you can make exactly the same profit mining MUSIC, UBQ and EXP as you do mining Zcash and company.

I mine the ZEC with the Tahiti. It is more profitable.
374  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's ZCash AMD GPU Miner v12.5 (Windows/Linux) on: June 13, 2017, 04:25:00 PM
When I do -i 6 on my 7950's, it says there is not enough ram and it reduces it to 5! What SOL/s are you getting on your 7950s?
I am getting 230 with hard undervolt

I think your core freqauency is around 900 MH/s.
375  Economy / Speculation / Re: Price going below 2k$ on: May 27, 2017, 04:47:19 PM
Bitcoin price goes up, bitcoin price goes down. Bitcoin price goes up, bitcoin price goes down. Other times, the price stays the same. For all the people crying and moaning the price was rising too fast, well here's your chance to buy under $2k. Make sure you're set for the next leg up.
We are given the opportunity to buy bitcoin when the price decreases. But we must believe that bitcoin prices will rise again. Because when bitcoin prices do not rise then this is a thing to be regretted. Drastic decline is arguably reasonable because at last week there was a fantastic increase.

A few days ago, the price was high, So I did not buy. Now the price is low, I bought some more.
376  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: I quit trading on: May 18, 2017, 09:18:42 PM
Now the question is: what the fuck do i do now with my money.
I wish I had money I didn't know what to do with.

You can mine some bitcoin and will have money.
377  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: I quit trading on: April 25, 2017, 05:55:52 PM
Chances are very good you will loose Even more if you go in for trading...
Rather than that.... Keeping 40 btc Is still trading because btc price will eventually go higher

Or you can invest for longterm  in major promising Altcoin like Ethereum Dash XMR or Litecoin... etc

Well the cryptos that you've mentioned are also following the trading patterns of bitcoin for the most part, and apparently bitcoin is also doing good amidst the drama that is currently on going as to where are we going from here. I suggest that you just keep it as it is since the growth wouldn't stop here; there's a lot of money to be made in bitcoin. But to don't miss out on the opportunities, you can always try to diversify your assets.
Generally it's good to put money in several different cryptocurrencies at once so that you know that they're fairly stable and likely to go up.  There's a CRYPTO5 index in the securities section which invests in 5 cryptocurrencies and has had 300% increase in the past year as I recall.
yes distributing your money in different places is really a good idea, through this way you can get more chances to make to earn money. i myself has distributed my money in different alt cons and i am really getting a good profit from it.
Of course, we should distributed our money in different places and also in different altcoin. Because If we
put our funds only in one Exchanger, if the hack happened then all our funding also will be lost.
I disagree with your planning to distribute your money in some exchange sites, for me i would stick with 1 exchange site and invest in some altcoins which listed on that site. I wouldn't put all my money on exchange site, the reason like you said, but you can put your money in a trustworthy exchange site (i.e Poloniex), when they got hacked before (i forgot when the time they got that) the owner pay from his own pocket to all investor funds which have been lost.

I think it is better to stick with one or two good exchange.
378  Economy / Economics / Re: You should never trust banks on: April 21, 2017, 07:27:09 AM
My bank closed my account last year for no reason, and all money in my account was gone. I argued with the bank, even contacted the local government, no use. My bank just stated that "Pursuant to the CMA Disclosure and Agreement, 'THE BANK, at its discretion, may elect not to accept an account, terminate the account agreement and the account agreements of any related parties'. Both parties to the agreements have the right to end the relationship at any time and neither is obliged to provide a basis for such a decision to terminate". No single word explaing the termination was given to me. I contacted all banking lawyers online, and they were all representing the bank, not the customers. The money I lost can buy a new Mercedes. However, banks around the world now are too powerful. They are too big to fail. When you open an account in the United States, and probably also many other countries, you voluntarily give up the rights to sue the bank under their arbitrage clause. Even worse, they define the financial laws and enforce them. They can close your account, freeze and steal your property and evict you from your house. The more money you deposit into your bank account, the more you are helping the evil. I'm glad to see Bitcoin is changing all of these. Let banks die!

There should some reason because banks are the most trusty organization, it physically exists and you can claim to someone for your problems while in online wallet you cannot claim your lost money to someone. And how would you leave that much in the hands of other person??

That is true. If the banks also deal with bitcoin, that is even better.
379  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Analysis ETH on: March 30, 2017, 08:55:30 AM
Seems to stabilize at 0.05, and BTC costs you lower than $ 1000 is making a very strong support

Some developers want to cut the miner's reward. that will dent the price of ETH.
380  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Analysis ETH on: March 22, 2017, 12:08:01 PM
To follow this pace ETH could reach the 8000 million of capitalization, or surpass the 0.08, this in na impressive rise.

I think it will take a few months at least. It also depends on the behaviour of the bitcoin and Dash.
