361  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Which Alt-Coin without ASIC is the best to mine? on: March 03, 2016, 04:45:11 PM
For the time being, I think Ethereum is the best coin to mine. DRED could also be a good choice for mining.

Thanks a lot!
And you think Ethereum has future? Not that it is away in a few weeks/months like it happened to other coins in the past.

Any other suggestions?

Thanks a lot and
my best to everyone!

If you just want to mine and sell to make profit, it does not matter if it has any future. Although I think it is better than most coins.

nothing bad is happening, in my opinion the price will start rising sooner or later

I think the bitcoin price is just consolidating after last year's dramatic rise. It is preparing for the next rise.
364  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Having trouble mining Ethereum on: January 26, 2016, 10:51:26 AM
Hey guys, so i would like to start mining ethereum. Actually i did, but i cant find how to setup my miners better.
I was mining x11 before and it was all in the conf file, so my question is - how do you do the fine tuning in the ethereum miner?

I am talking about windows  and my cards are 280x and 7950

There is no fine tuning of the ethereum miner. The memory frequency is most important for Ether mining. So make it as high as possible.

Cryptsy is dead now. It has stopped trading and withdraw of most coins are halted. Only certain coins can be withdrawn.

2015 is the start of new era. It finished the long term bear market and began the long term bull market.

Why revitalise a two year old thread? Is the down of cryptsy related to the two years old DDOS attack?

Remember that USA is about 5% of the world population, so I wouldn't expect holidays in one country to make too much difference in a global market.  China might be a different story as they seem to be the main players.

I can easily see 10% gains in a year (if you smooth out the highs and lows).  BTC'ers seem to be tolerant of higher risk than people for example, looking provide a reliable income from their life long savings put into BlueChips or something in their later years, than young guns who can afford a few mistakes when they are in their peak learning years.

For the next 10 years, the price rise will be bigger and volatility be higher. When the market cap reaches 1 trillion, the price will be stable.
