361  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: BCMonster.com Mining Pool Still looking for miners! 3 blocks found. on: February 23, 2016, 07:00:34 PM
The pool looks like its coming along nicely. Noticed the graphs still need changed to TH but the rest of the changes to stats/worker page looks great so far.
362  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Antminer S7 running temps on: February 23, 2016, 05:45:38 PM
could try moving it away from the other miner. i had 4 next to each other and only 1 was showing hot. so i moved it and now its much happier.

could be that the batch 10 is just in an air dead zone. could crack it open and check all the heatsinks/paste perhaps they werent done properly it is a mass produced product after all.

im fine with however you end up doing the payouts. You know whats best for you and the pool and trust your judgement/decision. You will never make 100% of the people happy with how its done so do what you feel is best.

I'm just worried about the future of Bitcoin as a currency.  It seems to be getting harder and harder to do everyday business with it.

im thinking the same thing as you if we end up haven't to not only pay for the item + the sales tax and then a transaction fee on top of it an item that started out only costing $15 usd will end up costing $25+ usd worth of btc just to insta pay/leave with the item like we now do with cc or cash. would hate to see this wonderful experiment go up in smoke because daily business (ie buying groceries or lunch with btc wasn't planned for properly).
365  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Community Miner Design Discussion on: February 22, 2016, 05:59:41 PM
im sure they will end up with various purchase options. the whole idea came to mind when they mentioned they had 40ish units on hand already. By doing the core switch method this would allow them to continually have old miners coming in that can be refitting by them vs just sending out the boards.

Hopefully this venture will also accept cash/cc money vs just that of btc for those that either dont have a large stock pile or dont want to part with their btc.
366  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why do people use so many Bitcoin wallets? on: February 22, 2016, 04:23:36 PM
i use 2. both of them are the primary 11.2 cores. experimented with a few others. 1 issue that kept me from using a different one is longevity. the other companies may stop supporting/developing their wallets. would rather not have my cold storage wallet become invalid/not useable.

They'll be confirmed when we find a block.
At least one was before I added the last one Tongue
Back to 4 awaiting confirm.

I spend ~$1 per payout ... comes from my mining, currently avg about 1/3 of my mining reward.
Yeah me spending ~$110 in the last month to send out the txns adds up ...

Is there a possible solution to this?  Is the central BTC brain trust able to do anything?  There is something fundamentally wrong with BTC if you have keep slipping more and more under the table to get confirmations...and getting confirmations is the very basis on how it's designed to work.

i think some of the problem is larger pools either not filling the transactions or just going empty. So it ends up falling to the smaller pools to do the confirmations. Hopefully this changes in the future as less and less coins come available the tx will be the way to make money.

368  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [40+ PH] SlushPool (slushpool.com); World's First Mining Pool on: February 22, 2016, 02:44:42 PM
I can not fathom any other plausible reason why slush would want to inflate the pool hash power.

why would he? simple to keep simpletons like you at his pool thinking that large 40+PH will net them more then a smaller pool. you are obviously a small minded individual who probably bought his account. or have nothing better to do then spam message board with your mindless vomit you call words.

Its ok you can tell us how much slush pays you to spill your mindless dribble on these boards. I think if you facerolled across the keyboard it would be a more intelligent response then what you have been talking about slush being a trust worthy guy.

With the diff on the rise and the split happening soon any theft regardless of it was intentional or not should not be tolerated in any form these days. It might not seem like a lot of money in btc. but convert that to USD and it is now petty theft or grand theft depending on the size of the mining farm.

Try telling the feds that all you did was skim a few pennies from thousands of people and thousands of transactions and see where you end up. JAIL. Why should the digital world be any different, the thief should have been announced and banned from mining. His info should have been then given to other pool owners to be banned from their pools. if the guy is crafty enough to write his own mining software he knows how to code in a withholding attack so the "accidental" attack doesn't fly.

definitely a very nice set up keep the pics/info coming will be nice to see when its all up and running and what the farm ends up looking like.

do the panels auto rotate with the sun or are they static?
370  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Community Miner Design Discussion on: February 22, 2016, 03:54:59 AM
This project is awesome to hear/read about.

If they really can repurpose old gear and give it new life that would be awesome.

Not sure what the final design will be or how it will be sold but something to think about would be how to sell the units. I know in the automotive world they do "core" charges which means you are charged extra for the part until you bring your old part back in so that it can then be sent off to be reused/refurbished. Perhaps something like that could be done here. charge the customer an extra $xx.xx on top of the miner to cover buying new shells/fans incase they don't return the "core". This would allow those that have these older units laying around but may not have the skill/ability to take apart/rebuild a miner an option to purchase a plug and play miner. The other option would be to just sell the blades for each model and let the owner do the retro fit.

Cant wait to see what comes of this venture.

One of the first s7's I got just had a fan stop working. Hashing stopped, waited for me to replace.
Glad I went to the datacenter to replace a pdu and add my final two s7's. Thing was just sitting there beeping, red light flashing.
Miner fan speed showed 600rpm.
Rebooted, looked around the back, fan was motionless. Bingo.

I had the same issue with a fan. Ended up finding a guy on ebay that sold them, ended up getting 6 spares. replaced the broken one and threw a few on my s5's till one is needed for an s7.
373  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: BCMonster.com Mining Pool Still looking for miners! 3 blocks found. on: February 21, 2016, 07:28:24 PM
On the dashboard you have the Total hash rate in TH but each worker still shows in KH. For uniformity the worker list should be in TH as well.
374  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: BCMonster.com Mining Pool Still looking for miners! 3 blocks found. on: February 21, 2016, 04:34:58 PM
Nice change to the stats page. Definitely a lot cleaner and easier to read. Now who does one have to bride/threaten in order for a block to fall out of the machine and into our laps.
375  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [40+ PH] SlushPool (slushpool.com); World's First Mining Pool on: February 21, 2016, 04:18:49 PM
d57heinz : unfortunately you cant talk logically to those of low IQ such as pekatete. just look at his lack of trust rating. If he wants to continue to mine on slush and throw away his money/profits to a lying thieving pool operator then let him.

Pekatete: how about you actually shutting up for once and reading posts and forming intelligent responses instead of mindless blind following of a pool owner that has led you all around by you johnsons as he steals from you by overcharging for pool fees and for allowing the withholding attack to happen and not revealing who did it and what miner/software they were using.

Amazing how this "miner" has been identified yet hasn't been reveled. Makes one think why he/she/them haven't been identified to the public. or why themselves haven't come on here and apologized. My thoughts is that the "attacker" and slush were working together or the attacker was slush himself. why not toss a miner on the pool and get paid for work he hasn't done. O that's right that's what hes doing right now with his outrageous pool fee, getting paid for doing nothing. for the fees he charges he should be on here posting constantly.

What is a DROID.TESTLAB who found 399427 and 399442 bloks, and why it is not in the pool statistics? https://kano.is/index.php?k=stats  Shocked

Great you ran him off.  Smiley

He was there around 480Ths

looked for him as well and couldn't find.

Either way.. whoever he is thanks for the blocks.

Wow. What a set of blocks to see when one wakes up.

Today is super saturday.
378  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: BCMonster.com Mining Pool Still looking for miners! 3 blocks found. on: February 20, 2016, 12:48:18 AM
trying to crack it. got an electrician coming tomorrow to wire in some more 20A breakers/plugs/wires.

yikes that is insane how much they are charging per kw.

thankfully I at .06. I have turned my heat off completely and just use the fan from the furnace to circ air and its kept it at a stead 69-70 depending outside temps.

Bcmonster: may want to see if you can switch the current hashing power stats chart to show in TH vs KH since kh isn't really used anymore. If TH isn't possible maybe at least GH.  Might make the chart a little cleaner to read and would make the page more mobile friendly as those numbers cause the graph to be large/scrolled on a phone.
379  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: BCMonster.com Mining Pool Still looking for miners! 3 blocks found. on: February 19, 2016, 07:12:26 PM
Decided to swallow the power cost for this month until I get my new provider and brought the sp20e back into the pool with my s7 until the sp20e sells. I figured if I am going to pay out of the nose for power it might as well be two s7's instead. So on the hunt for another s7 as we speak. Lets find that fourth block!

what are you paying for power per KW? perhaps someone on the pool or bcmonster could host it.
380  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: BCMonster.com Mining Pool Still looking for miners! 3 blocks found. on: February 19, 2016, 07:11:34 PM
added my s5's to the pool.
