What is this?

It is the payout from our ICO site to the investors who requested a payout.

Hi all,

I've usually just scrolled and read, I never really write much. I've been following Komodo and this forum for a few months now and bought back then. Glad to see some movement and just downloaded the wallet. don't mind the tiny post count Wink

My wallet is taking sometimes 20 minutes to open, and other times not at all. Right now it just gets stuck at "connecting to Basilisk Network...connection status 4/8: EUR Output: Less than required responses" anyone have any ideas?

You downloaded it for the first time? If you had downloaded Iguana previously you will have to uninstall it first.

Check that there's no antivirus blocking Agama

Try launching Agama from a zip release. There could be some bugs in the installer itself. You can find the zip release from our GitHub: github.com/SuperNETorg/Agama/releases

It's amazing. There are some good news released  and I know KMD is on the rally.
Do you think Supernet will be a digital payment center and digital currency exchange in the future?

That is what Agama tries to be: an easy wallet & exchange. (YDX is not releated to Agama or SuperNET though, it's an independent exchange)

Most users will want convenience, and thus the exchanges are being used as a wallet. Furthermore, many more casual bitcoin holders might not want to get into other cryptocurrencies as the process of buying them is so hard. Agama will make it easy.

Cryptocurrency users will find all the essential tools right from the Agama wallet. We also have a plan to make it as easy to use as possible. However, that all takes time. Right now the focus is to boost its performance and get all the main features online.

SuperNET's decentralized exchange layer is not limited to Agama though. Anyone can use it in their DAPP. Komodo did exactly this, and we will be using it in the Komodo Currencies.

SuperNET will always be on the background creating essential technology for the other projects/businesses to use. It's little like Intel on the computer hardware industry.  The end-users won't know that SuperNET is powering their DAPP, i.e. Agama. For example, Apple's and HP's processors are produced by Intel.

Komodo Platform will also function somewhat in that manner. An end user might not know that the service they use is protected by Komodo's delayed Proof of Work. We also intend to build smart contract capabilities, and other projects can then use those to build smart DAPPs. Here too the end-user would not know about the underlying technology.

Komodo as a coin will of course be very visible to the end users, and that is the main focus of the new komodoplatform.com.

WARNING: There is a bug that give you an invalid deposit address upon your first login.

Be careful when creating a new Agama wallet seed. You need to double check the deposit address is correct. Logout and login again as a double check. In current Agama version there's a bug that will give you an extra address upon first login. It has been fixed for the next release.

KMD would jump long time ago but BTC is merciless, rises and influencing whole market. We could say KMD at least is steady. Look at others alts, situation is sad.

So far 32 retweets, this is very good, do you have statistics how many impressions did you earned?

For this tweet, ~3500 impressions

The last two previous tweets got ~7500 impressions

Our twitter following has had a stable growth of 300 new followers per month. Last month we got +429

A lot of this BTC price movement seems to be due to Japan. I know KMD has a Chinese ambassador. Perhaps it'll be beneficial to look for a Japanese ambassador?  I think Japan loves dragons as well Smiley

Good idea!

If there is such a person in our community, or someone knows someone, please send us a message!

What is notary node good for?

How is Komodo related to Super NET?

SuperNET is the organization that created Komodo. SuperNET also has built many other innovations that Komodo utilizes. So we could say Komodo has been in development for 2+ years.

The Notary Nodes create group signed bitcoin transactions, and thus secure the Komodo network. Thus they also secure all the other blockchains that are connected to Komodo, such as Komodo Currencies.

Even though notary nodes find blocks they cannot create invalid blocks as all the blocks are validated by all the nodes.

Notary Nodes also have other functions, such as recording the raw fiat prices form ECB API to Komodo blockchain. Normal mining nodes are also able to do that, but there's no way to enforce it.

I participated in signature campaign and got kmd in bounty.I did everything right to claim my kmd as was stated on signature thread but despite months have passed,my kmd still not displaying on my ICO account

How can I send my kmd to exchange? They are not on my ICO and there is no option to withdraw kmd.

Hey, your KMD is in the blockchain. You must download Agama and login with your seed. You can check your balance from an explorer too: kpx.io

Thank You For the Support!

We have an awesome and strong community! The Komodo community in China is also growing, currently over 500 people, and we have a full time Chinese ambassador.

Recently we won the little vote campaign bithub.pl had with 50% of total votes.

Because of it we have now entered into the list of cryptocurrencies they follow in their monthly update series. You can see Komodo there in the April update:

Top Cryptocurrencies in April 2017

+11,33 growth in April.

Let's see what happens in May! We have a promising start. To celebrate that we are launching a fun competition.

I already have fully synced BTCD wallet and last time it took me 3 days to fully sync, I'm sure it will be faster with Agama, but I still don't understand how fully synced node in latest wallet gives me REVs. It will only give me access to the BTCD on the address I already have complete control of. I started syncing just because this is the only direction I have now, but that sync circle just spins with nothing changing. Agrhhh.

Guys, please post that "How to claim REVs" guide somewhere.

You don't need to sync BTCD to import the REVS balance. You just need to import the BTCD privatekey and launch REVS in basilisk mode.

I added this info to the OP:

For more information about how to use the wallet, see our guides:
The Grandma's Guide to Agama (a beginner's guide)
 - How to login into Agama / create an account
 - Backups
 - Sending & Receiving coins
 - Using multiple coins
 - Importing BTCD privatekey (used to also claim REVS)

Claiming REVS asset
If you held BTCD during the snapshot you can import the REVS balance to Agama by importing the BTCD privatekey. Follow The Grandma's Guide linked above to find more information about how to import a privatekey.

I was trying to get to my REVs via latest wallet in Basilisk mode with no luck. Import private key option is not working for me either, after inserting my privkey from old BTCD wallet it just stands there with no action. After mem dumps, resincs, multiple restarts I just gave up. ICO website has no such option, the only way I figured it would work is privkey import in REVs wallet, but unfortunately it does not work for me. Explorer shows my asssets are still assigned to old BTCD address, so I assume none of my importing efforts worked yet.
How can I claim my REVs? Anyone knows?

@ KomodoPlatform and JL777, can you please update first two posts with a small guide how to claim REVs please? It's very simple to convert BTCD to KMD, no questions there, but what about REVs? I could not find any clear instructions yet. Any help is appreciated.
Thank you.

Here's a guide about importing the BTCD privatekey: https://supernet.org/en/resources/guides/the-grandmas-guide-to-agama

Did you do it like that? Let me know if you have any problems.

I'll include that guide to the OP, good idea.

Any idea when the Agama App will allow converting KMD to pegged currencies?

It should be just a matter of time as it's already working on command line

Hi there!
just bought some komodo. I like the proyect but I have some questions about kmd wallet, so there we go.
Its agama the only kmd wallet for now? If so, Is there any way to increase agama security with 2FA? I wonder that because I feel pretty insecure storeing my coins without that option.
Thanks a lot!

Agama is safe to use as the coins are in the blockchain. You just hold keys, and all transactions are locally signed.

If someone finds our your seed they can steal everything, so keep it safe!

P.S. when using Komodo in Native mode you will have to also backup the wallet.dat file.

We are also working on normal KMD wallets, the OSX wallet has been released and others are coming later. https://github.com/supernetorg/komodowallet
My seed is in a safle place. It may sound ridiculous, but what if someone get login with my seed? I say that because when I logged first time I entered a word wrong ( free instead fee). That wallet was empty but...
What chance is there for someone to enter random words until find a full wallet?
Waiting for that new wallet!
thanks!

When you use the 12 word random seed it's impossible to guess it. Guessing it would be the same as guessing a bitcoin private key.

Someone even created a database of all the bitcoin privatekeys, here take a look: http://directory.io/ Wink

FYI: Komodo notary nodes have been online since the launch.

Komodo is protected by Bitcoin, and so are all the other blockchains we have launched.

is it possible change wallet seed?

Yes, but if the payout was already sent to your address it is too late then.

Need more info about your situation.

Of course you can just create a new seed anytime and send the funds from the old seed to there.

Is Komodo planning to make formal invitations to other projects (i.e contact project devs, foundations) or has such approach been deemed aggressive?

It it true? I'm wondering why this price is increasing highly about 15% today? and is it relative to this fact?
I'm also waiting for good news coming in next month. I hope I'm not wrong.

Already have started! Several other projects have been contacted and we are in discussions

i swapped btcd to komondo today and requested a payout, how long does it take to receive kmd?

Now claims are processed manually monthly, I think you have either just missed the last payment or its due any time now

The payment will be on May 5th (the first friday of the month)

Exiting News!

Should that be "Exciting News!"

Thanks! Fixed

Exciting News!

Someone is also testing our Native Decentralize Exchange with atomic swaps and the liquidity provider (LP) nodes it will be using. jl777 has been testing the liquidity providers that create the liquidity for the decentralized exchange. Usually the atomic swap happens through his own test nodes, but in this case it appears that also someone else was running such a node.

Quote from: jl777
it seems during my testing, i did an atomic swap with a node that is not mine!

Quote from: jl777
to my knowledge, this is the first time for this to happen

There was a long update, along with a conversation in #komodo channel between jl777 and grewalsatinder. In short, jl777 created 'smart addresses' that automatize the BTC or KMD anynymization process. Our new bitcoin implementation, Iguana Core, will monitor those addresses and once it detects new funds there it will automatically proceed to anonymize them by funneling them to another address. The technology uses Komodo's Z-transactions.

Quote from: jl777
I have verified both directions of the KMD <-> BTC dexing and jumblr should still work, ie. ready for testing the full system
