361  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: That's why I really like bitcoin :) on: September 04, 2022, 10:07:34 PM
I like bitcoin literally it is because of my country's adoption and of course safe from thieves like you are having a lot of physical money precious stones and metals as investments which can endanger someone's life most especially when you are living in a third world country like mine. Though Bitcoin for me is best when you buy and hodl as an investment but here i can actually use it to buy things online unfortunately I have nothing but wallet only since I had nothing to invest as I am in the process of recovering from the super typhoon.
Is good to be happy with country's adoption but expected to see regulations as time passes by the government. Some of these regulations come to protect the citizen and some to levy holders, control the size of the portfolio, and monitor conversion to fiat. It is not likely to replace the country's currency as long as they dont control it. The only option is for the government to introduce their stable coin
362  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][Pre-Launch] Trident Protocol | Simple «buy-hold-earn» system! on: September 04, 2022, 09:58:02 PM
Trident is trading on pancakeswap and BMflokiswap ( https://t.co/SLf4gJGwIa ), although I cant tell if the listing is official but it is announced on the twitter. Do I have anyone with the knowledge of the APY and vesting period?
How does the team of the project looks like?
They just burn a good value of the token, is it going to be occasional, one time or regular?
363  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: That's why I really like bitcoin :) on: September 03, 2022, 09:17:51 PM
Everything has its good and bad sides. If we look at the good side of Bitcoin, there are many things that can be done and currently, some people are controlling the entire market. Whenever the market is out of their hands, everything will be better and the price of Bitcoin will increase. Also, its usage will increase you will see currently many online shops and offline usage of Bitcoin is increasing on the other hand if you look at banks there are also many frauds it is actually an open secret.
the aim of the decentralized coin is being attacked by the whales and exchanges through the terrible price manipulation and extent of dip. Although we think the coins cant control the volatility, the adoption may struggle with the volatility. New institutions cant cope with the loss from the volatility as seen the last 2 years and that may affect the increased adoption. We cant continue to see 80% bear market dip
364  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Will Russia Emerge As The Next Dominant Superpower on: September 03, 2022, 08:49:18 PM
Many of the overhyped American defense innovations have failed in actual use scenario. One perfect example is that of the Lockheed Martin F-35 Lightning II fighter jet. The Americans spent around $1.7 trillion on the development of this jet, and in the end they got a product that is much inferior to the Russian Sukhoi Su-57 (which was developed at a cost of around $60 billion). And the most comic part is that a part of the cost was borne by the European allies such as France and Germany. The unit cost is also much lower. Su-57 costs $35 per piece, while F-35 costs $110 million.
I am not supporting government corruption but no country is devoid of corrupt politicians and stealing from military budget, is the easiest. Government try to hide investments in military equipment to prevent probation of the high amount. All countries brag about their product and find ways to spy into other countries inventions, which could be reason for the disappointmect in the stronger ammunition discovery of Russia.
365  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Keep or sell ethereum before the merge? on: September 02, 2022, 08:31:58 AM
I also like to ask, If Binance is worried about the merger, we should also be.
1. So where is it safe to keep ones ethereum before the merger?
2. Asides the ethereum token wont the blockchain also be affected if the coin is affected by the merge?
3. How many exchange had shown concern since the binance announcement of temporary inability to withdraw around the merge date?
366  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is it advisable as a starter to engage in future trade? on: September 01, 2022, 11:26:44 PM
It is not advisable if you are just starting. Just what like they said better start first in spot trading and gain knowledge once you have enough idea how future trading works you can try little by little There are many options for you to engage with and become profitable like staking
Experience in trading does not prevent one from the risk of future trading, one might only understand the risk better. Even spot trading has risk but not at the level of Future trading. Both trade do well in the bull market and future get to be more rewarding in the bull, however, the loss is very high with any swing. It is too speculative and we dont know all the factors that affect the market price movement, some believe technical analysis cant reduce the risk
367  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Exchange's payment methods on: September 01, 2022, 05:51:10 PM
I think P2P is the safest form of transaction of fiat to crypto anywhere in the world. It protects both the exchange and user. Regular transactions can draw attention of financial institution and may attract greedy government to start siphoning or engage criticism and unnecessary sanctions. Just like Uber that has no car and other online business that engage available resource in every location, thats the way I see P2P transactions. I dont trust other provisions by the OP not to have backdoor to government and later be looking to exploits users. Also exchanges dont need to use all those local fund for transaction or open bank account. Is the easiest and safest for exchange users and will be here for a long time
368  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: September 01, 2022, 11:18:14 AM
I think Manchester United's win over Liverpool in the previous game can't be a guarantee they will do the same against Leicester. This game will be very different, and it is possible for Manchester United to return to their poor form at the start of the league. I didn't expect this to happen but when you look at Manchester United now the chances of it happening are huge.
If you look at the results of last season's match in the Premier League between Manchester United versus Leicester City, it is clear that Leicester City is far superior to Manchester United because Leicester City were able to win twice over Manchester United and draw once.
Likewise with this season where Leicester City was able to play in a draw with Manchester United and Manchester United's task for this season is to beat Leicester City with passion and hard work that can give satisfactory results because Leicester City also won in the FA Cup last year over Manchester United. So it's not an easy game for Manchester United.
I dont think the language of being superior should be used here but it might be addressed as knowing how to take advantage of a weak part of man city. Many relegating teams do that sometimes and that does not make them superior. At the moment Man city has not played more games but they start poorly in recent starts of the season.  Team might just be more motivated and energetic which could nullify game tactics where a player faces a stronger opponent that kept bullying.
369  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Keep or sell ethereum before the merge? on: August 30, 2022, 07:25:07 PM
I think after the merge of Ethereum it will go up and will make a new ATH. So before taking any decision you should research by own and decide what you want to do or you can sell a small amount before the merge. It's all about depends on you.
If you understand cryptocurrency very well, most times pricing-in of a coin comes before the event not after. Asides that bear market at the moment we can only see correction in ethereum after the merge, price pump are not meant to be predictable except for such news. If you do any research you wont see anything that proves any imminent breaking of ATH, except you check with the market optimist, and that is their job to set people up to catch the falling knife.
370  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why do you all ignore alternative tech on Bitcoin? on: August 30, 2022, 07:11:59 AM
Can you please share names of bitcoin Dexes? Have not used one and after 4 years in the space it is surprising to know it exist. I so consider it for trade in countries with strong restriction for cryptocurrency. How do people convert there stable coin to fiat in USA without wallet monitoring ?
371  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: August 29, 2022, 06:59:37 PM

Another good season for Kane is what I've predicted. Son seems to have taken a back seat as of now but he should be up and running soon. Haaland will most likely be the top goal scorer by the end of the season. He's got a really good lineup around him to feed it to him. Not many selfish players in City anymore(looking at you Stirling Tongue). Nothing wrong with how Stirling plays though, just not for Man City.
Kane this season seems to be returning to his best form because indeed when you look at last season he was very difficult in goal productivity but it seems this season he is back in prime with the support of Son, Kulusevski and 4 midfielders who are always ready to supply the ball.
This is quite a good thing for Kane and obviously Kane's current form is also a blessing for Tottenham in this season's competition.
The difference this season is the early goal scoring, he never had it this way in the past season and give the credit to the coach. They complained of a very hard preseason training and added few legs to their squad, which give the team versatility and change game from the regular traditional English football, kick and follow. Son is struggling and I think it is early, just an assist inn 3 matches
372  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will Bitcoin do $19k again before a bull market? on: August 29, 2022, 06:37:12 PM
This question keeps coming always in the bear market but what do people do with the knowledge of another dip in price? No one has the accurate knowledge of the price movement, still people make decision with respect to the uncertainty. The way you take profit is the way you buy into the market. Ladder into the market and keep focus of always hodling fiat or stable coin, it has been tested and reliable.
373  Economy / Speculation / Re: Do you regret buying before the dip on: August 29, 2022, 06:33:56 PM
If there are people who still doubt Bitcoin at this time, then it is a mistake that can result in regret for him in the future. Because there are still so many people who believe in the price increase of Bitcoin in the future after the current period of decline ends in the market. Because there is no market condition that goes down forever without increasing, and vice versa and I believe that you are a person who still believes in the future of Bitcoin for now.
I dont doubt bitcoin but am worried on where the coin is at the moment. We cant continue to manipulate the market the way it with many institution coming in and losing so much fund. Where will be the confidence of new institutional investors in this market? More also is the position top influencers in the market is critical, Elon Musk as the richest man in the world is careless with handling the market. The space need a credible image in the next market cycle that can manage the information that controls the price and adoption of crypto
374  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Dip, Dipper, Dippest on: August 28, 2022, 08:36:00 PM
A couple of weeks ago I was excited that bitcoin price had gained 23k+. I was positive that it was going to at least stay steady at that point for some and the go up gradually, but boy was I wrong. On Twitter this user - Richard Heart, tweeted "Pray that #Bitcoin doesn't hit $11,000. For if it does, the sound of me patting myself on the back will be heard around the world."(What does this even mean?). Anyways, I decided to open my Binance app(I do not check the price daily. Is this normal?) only to find out that the price has plummeted to 20k. Honestly, I am not perturbed at all because I am a long term hodler. But why can't the price stay steady? Are we moving towards the dippest part of the dip? Just wanna know your thoughts. Thank you.
Bitcoin has been this way with price movement since it started, it is a money market that deal with demand and supply. a lot factors affect the price movement which include the coin halving in 4 year, miners reward, human psychology of traders, world economy, sometimes other altcoins etc. Halving separates the bull and bear market, whatever happens when the market is bullish either good or bad cant affect the upward movement, same as in the bear market that no good news can keep price going up. No matter your view in this market, a full 2 cycle is the only enough experience to talk about the coin's price
375  Economy / Economics / Re: Anyone here from Germany? What exactly are your electricity costs? on: August 28, 2022, 08:26:27 PM
It is going more crazy in the next coming months if nothing is done with the war and winter starts. According to recent news Germans would have used up almost all the store gas/crude in the country except they gotten, then when winter is here the consumption of gas will increase and the available gas wont be enough, supply wont be able to cater for the demand and the price will go crazier.
376  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to Overcome a Bear Market in Cryptocurrency on: August 27, 2022, 09:26:04 PM
The best strategy in the bear market in crypto and any other investment is to stay aloof, be only on stable coin but it could be difficult for some because of the length of time. Another strategy is to be in spot trade, this time buy from every lower deep at every point, sell at the next lower high. You do this on few top coins. For a forum member that got bounty provision, keep your reward in the bear until the bull market and sell at 10x, which is most like for most good projects with bear market crowdfund.
377  Economy / Economics / Re: State Of Corruption In Nigeria Amidst World Corruption on: August 27, 2022, 09:16:00 PM
Quote
Major Causes of Corruption In Nigeria:

The major cause of Nigeria corruption is bad governance. Our leaders has taught us to be corrupt. They made life unbearable for citizen thereby leaving citizen to no choice than to live a corrupt life. Imagine we are blessed with good petroleum (one of the best petroleum in the world i.e petroleum without sulphur) but we still buy our petrol at a high rate. We pay tax but this doesn't have any effect on the infrastructure of the country. Nigeria corruption isn't in a single sector, it all round. In politics, in finance, justice and many more. And our leaders is the architecture of this.
And the major cause of bad governance is the weakness of the law. The law is so weak to protect the citizens and prosecute corruption. So those who are suppose to change the law are the beneficiary of the weakness. To change the law is to deprive them. The only advantage that the southern Nigerians have is the education and it is what make the corrupt politician struggle and they are planning to take it away absolutely to enslave the citizen and deprive them of their entitlements in the future. The future of the country should be their fight now
378  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Mtgox trustee and return of funds on: August 27, 2022, 08:37:43 PM
"The amount of BTC held by MtGox as of September 30, 2019 is 141,686.35446516BTC."

4,9B$  Smiley

About the same amount as Silk Road wallet when it was seized. https://www.celebritynetworth.com/articles/entertainment-articles/ross-ulbricht-silk-road-bitcoin/
So they have held this coins for this long to start threatening and FUDing the market for a dump. I actually dont believe the news of the release of coin cause more coins had been sold in this market without such news. The idea is usually to pick an average price of sale and sell gradually on exchanges, probably hiding from anyone. I suspect a plan for a bottom buy from the FUD

380  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: POLYGON’S MATIC or Solana on: August 26, 2022, 08:57:07 PM
I don’t like Solana’s wallet a little bit. It feels a little strange. It may also be because I’m not used to it.
when a project decides to add to much to look excessively difference from other or exiting wallet, this is what you will see. However, they open themselves to a very strange challenge with hack/insecurity. Both Matic and Binance built their wallet on the existing provision of ethereum and such provision has already been evaluated with the security details. I can trust the security of Binance, Matic and ethereum than that of solana, security seems to be the most important thing as a hodler
