It's not as strong as when haaland was there. I saw that losing bellingham was also giving huge impact to the dortmund. The club looks like very inconsistent even since the first match of bundesliga.

Joao Felix is going to play for Barcelona by earning only 400k euros for one year. This is a really shocking amount to me honestly but he doesn't seem to be uncomfortable with this. Haaland will not go to PSG, City already pays him a lot of money and he is getting a lot of success there, why would he want to leave? I would understand Real Madrid to a point because he could get a lot of success there as well, but why would he go to PSG when they already have so many strikers and still fail. The salary Haaland gets at Manchester City is not as big as what Mbappe gets at PSG, not even bigger than Mohammed Salah at Liverpool. SourceAnd if he prefers to stay at Manchester City not because the salary he gets there is already big, but because at his current club he will get a title and competition that is better than Ligue 1, except for Ligue 1 the competition is developing very rapidly in a few seasons thus providing a challenge for many great players to play here. PSG can attract star players with their money, but not all players will focus on money, but we don't know whether Haaland will remain comfortable staying at City for a long period as KDB feels, if not then not only PSG other teams have the opportunity to get this players, especially elite clubs in the elite league. I think PSG should try to keep Mbappe as much as they possibly can, and if they can do that it would be great for them, but if they fail to do it then they could find some other players that could increase the overall value of a club. Like instead of replacing a 200 million dollar player, increase 5 places on the squad with 40+ million dollar valuation of the current roster, and you get a 200 million dollar increase anyway.
Keeping Mbappe at this club doesn't seem like an easy job for PSG, money is no longer likely to be the right tool to tempt Mbappe because it seems he really wants to get more and more prestigious titles, rather than continue to earn a large salary. @Strongkored Halland is getting a new contract which will double his current salary and while PSG can offer more than that I hope they don’t as they should focus on building the team and not just spend on one player. It seems that Al-Hilal this season will really be a team to be afraid of in the Saudi Pro League. Because until now only Al-Hilal has not suffered defeat since the beginning of the season. Indian squad for the World Cup announced!
 K L Rahul is back, which order will he bat is uncertain. I think they will not make any changes to the existing opening pair. I feel he will come after Kholi and most probably Kishan will come after him and Iyer after Kishan. Apart from Rahul the team is exactly the same that is currently playing in the Asia Cup. This might be the last World Cup for a few senior players in the team. @Bureau no surprises here but what concerns me is if the senior’s fail like they did against Pakistan it’ll be very tough for team India and even against Nepal they didn’t really convince me hence I hope that the selectors will rebuild the team immediately post the World Cup. Furthermore KL Rahul form hasn’t been great so I’m not sure if his inclusion will help the team but if he wishes to prolong his career then he better perform as he’s already been given way too many opportunities now. |

The Indian team actually treating the Asia Cup as a warm up event. There is nothing wrong with this thought process when you want to test your WC squad.
But at the same time, when you are a commentator you don't say this out loud in public as it's disrespectful to other teams. As far as Sanju Manju goes, he's an excellent presenter when he talks about technical stuff like batting technique, etc and probably one of the best minds in the current generation (for technical stuff) but whenever he starts talking about anything else he becomes shit, cheerleader or worst version of himself. Nowadays 90% of commentators are like this.
They are up against quality opposition (talking about Pakistan and Sri Lanka). Even Nepal gave them a scare yesterday. Given this, I am not sure whether the Indian team can consider this tournament as a warmup series. I know that their main target is the ODI World Cup, which is going to start later this year. But first, they need to make sure that their performance in the Asia Cup is satisfactory. Last time they didn't even managed to enter the finals (contested between Pakistan and Sri Lanka). And this time also, looking at the matches that have been completed so far, once again Pakistan and Sri Lanka looks like the favorites to lift the trophy. Both points of view can be true at the same point and I personally don't see any wrong in it because all eyes are on ODI WC. They are about to announce the squad within half an hour so it will give an idea if they are really treating this as warm up for the fixed WC squad. @JSRAW honestly team India is performing really poorly and if these are the player’s playing in the World Cup too then I doubt that India can win it even if it’s being played in their country. Furthermore senior player’s need to do more then just make statements because the game is won on the field and not by talking off the pitch hence I hope that in the next match they’ll step up and deliver or soon they’ll be removed from the team due to their non performances. |
