361  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: If you have to sell bitcoin to an alt, so... on: October 27, 2019, 12:07:48 PM
Describing a shitcoin varies from person to person. An alt that made you good money doesn't mean that it's a promising one. So please be honest, and if you ever have to sell your btc, what would you buy with them?
Pretty much disagree with you on the basis of describing shitcoins, if an alt made you money in the past, and now it's dead, it's a shitcoin now.
Selling BTC now for alts doesn't seem like s good decision, but If I ever have to sell my BTC for some alts, it has to be ETH and BNB then consider any other alts in the top 5 list.
362  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: How do you like your sig campaign payments. USD vs. BTC on: October 27, 2019, 10:25:13 AM
Even though Bitcoin is volatile, it can easily tip in either directions. But instill prefer getting paid in Bitcoin Paying in Bitcoin makes it easier for the campaign to maintain a fixed payout amount without stress. When a fixed USD rate is used, it means there will be constant calculations before payouts are made.
363  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: dormant addresses are waking up? on: October 27, 2019, 08:50:45 AM
Hi,

All below addresses were emptied this year. Most of them in Sept. 2019. Around 2982 BTC in 21 addresses.
All addresses were first used in 2011, and dormant until now.
BCH is still there except 1 address.

No spending transactions on them so the public key was not known.
The owner he suddenly remembered after 8 years that he had some BTC?

What are your opinions?

There are so many points to actually analyse this from, the Bitcoins were moved out to another wallet probably for sales or to a more secured wallet for safer keeping. If the owners bought those Bitcoins 8years back, then they might actually trying to take some profits. If it was owned by an organisation orca group of persons, maybe their agreed holding period has reached and they are sharing it off.
364  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Are trading platforms a good way to start trading? Which ones are the best? on: October 26, 2019, 09:22:35 PM
Hey traders. Did a few google search sessions and found Coingy and TradeDash.
Are these platforms safe to use?
Thank you for help
First of all these sites are so less popular, just getting to know about them. As a new comer to the trading sphere, I would suggest to trade with reputable exchanges that offer a wide range of services and listings with various pairs. Binance is your number one option for a place to start trading. It has a very user friendly interface, easy to use by a newbie trader.
365  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is 1 bitcoin is a good price as now? on: October 26, 2019, 01:38:55 PM
As a bigginer 1 bitcoin or 1 BTC is good price for me because i have no idea to get 1 btc so there for i am willing to learn more how get or how to recieve more points or btc.
First of all, congratulations on getting aboard the ship.
I would suggest you do some background research and checks as to know more about Bitcoin, study and learn at your own pace and get to know how things work.
Being new on the forum, you need to rank up a little and then you can join campaigns and bounties, that's a nice way to earn some Bitcoin and build up.
You don't actually need 1 full Bitcoin before you can start going. The price of 1 BTC as at typing this is $9140.
Good luck!
366  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Price Analysis: What Has Triggered 30% Surge? on: October 26, 2019, 11:23:06 AM
So many 'WHYS' on everyone's lips. Just in th past 20hrs, so many similar thread has filled up the forum.
It's basically a market recovery phase, we can't be in downtrend forever, at some point there ought to be a recovery, and that's it now.
Furthermore, the Chinese news has also been another good reason for what we are seeing now.
367  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: today the market looks excited on: October 25, 2019, 10:01:08 PM
hi all ...
I went to a number of exchanges and saw all the green altcoin, having previously fallen between 5-10%.
what really happened, did I miss some important news or was there a speculation / rumor that affected all of this.
Let's juts say it was a market recovery with some couple of news propelling the recovery.  Chinese President announcement of adopting Blockchain technology and the announcement by BAKKT futures too as well. Maybe we are gradually getting to the start of bull run but don't get to know it yet.
368  Other / Off-topic / Re: BEWARE of Telegram Group Member adding services on: October 25, 2019, 09:11:58 PM
Telegram is a ground for scammers in all its forms. From individuals wanting to scam you to fake groups posing as one project or the other. Alot of them will come to sell you coins or claim to be admins trying to help you fix a problem. In over the years, I have been in so many telegram groups witnessed people getting scammed on the daily. And the problem is that no matter the level of measures put in place, people especially newbies still get scammed.
369  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: China's President Xi Jinping VS Bitcoin on: October 25, 2019, 06:54:53 PM
The 'heavyweights' are gradually finding a way to come into Bitcoin. Deep down, they know it's the future and it is at inevitable, but for obnoxious reasons, they just decide to place some restrictions on it. I'm happy for the news, at least Bitcoin that has already started taking a negative movement is well back to it's feet, I hope things take up from here.
370  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ANALYST: ALTCOIN SEASON has almost arrived on: October 25, 2019, 05:36:27 PM
The market is just showing signs of recovery, this doesn't entirely translate to a bull run or altseason per say. But if it can be maintained with more uptrend then we can now be hopeful of something good coming. Best bet now is to watch the market, take some profits if any and see how things goes from here.
371  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: BCH price prediction on: October 25, 2019, 01:47:48 PM
Over the past few days, with turn out of events, Bitcoin has dipped a little and thus bringing some alts down. Nice price movement for alts will come when BTC shows a positive move.
I did not buy and would never consider buying them....I got them free from the fork.
Since you actually got the BCH from forks, it's kind of 'gifted' which means you can choose to sell at any time, just keep it for a little while and watch how the market goes.
372  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Nigeria Naira becomes first Fiat currencies to be listed on Binance. on: October 25, 2019, 12:18:06 PM
A very good development. Quite a way to ginger up African countries into adopting crypto and also at the same time creating more awareness about binance. Nigeria as a country is on the top list with the most active crytpo engagements in Africa and even in the world. This will open up more frontiers for adding more currencies.
373  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ALTCOINS ARE GOING NOWHERE TILL BTC MOVES... prove me wrong on: October 24, 2019, 07:17:35 PM
Basically, altseason is not even a certainty. Some alts bleed out when Bitcoin pumps and also when it dumps whereas others just go with Bitcoin while most others work in reverse of Bitcoin's movement.
Nice alts to buy is BNB and ETH, maybe a few other alts in top 10 CMC. Any alt right now without a real and applicable project/product will soon die off.
374  Economy / Economics / Re: Is Quantum Computing News Utilized to Manipulate Markets and Crash BTC on: October 24, 2019, 05:47:58 PM
Bitcoin is very fluid and easy to manipulate. Regardless of the increasing level of adoption, there is still this background fear by bitcoinners, a very significant number of them still believe that Bitcoin will soon 'burst' but for the meantime, they are just playing the game. If one thing, this quantum computing development should be done in much way to promote Bitcoin.
375  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: New Guncoin release? on: October 24, 2019, 04:17:48 PM
Sounds scammy from the get go. So scammers are just devising new means everytime to defraud people. Even if it means going to the extent of developing a project, make it seem legit and all that. Becareful and keep your head up, this street is not safe.
376  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 5 Reasons McAfee’s $2 Million Bitcoin Prediction May Not Be So Crazy on: October 24, 2019, 09:27:50 AM
McAfee is more of a joker to me, can't even take any of his baseless predictions and assumptions serious. How on earth can Bitcoin get to $1m dollars in just one year time from it is at the moment. He is just chasing clout, saying anything just to claim being relevant. With Bitcoin price slipping gradually, we're in for another long red drag.
377  Economy / Economics / Re: Trump Administration Popped 2017 Bitcoin Bubble, Ex-CFTC Chair Says on: October 23, 2019, 09:20:40 PM
In as much as USA is kit comfortable with Bitcoin and other cryptos in general, it still doesn't translate to the fact that Trump's administration was the cause of Bitcoin's fall. The 2017 was a pretty cosmetic one, that's why the fall was very hard. That aside, bigger players in the game also contributed to this.
378  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: add-ex.io exchange - scam or legit? on: October 23, 2019, 02:33:23 PM
Exchanges are just low-key popping up these days. My advice is tread with absolute caution.  A careful analysis of this exchange shows that so many things are lacking and Which should not be do. Fur the start, the site is not even secured, navigating through the pages shows some descripancies. Stay safe, there are so many other notable exchanges for you to use.
379  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What kind of Altcoins have a future? on: October 23, 2019, 10:34:04 AM
We have seen scenarios of Altcoins getting so high in value and dropping drastically over a very short period of time, with no direction of getting back up. For any alt to survive after this long haul of bear market, then it must have a real working project that is already in progress and not a mere white paper. Alts currently on top positions are more likely to be successful in future.
380  Economy / Speculation / Re: Can Bitcoin cross $50,000 by Dec 2020? on: October 22, 2019, 04:46:18 PM
If predictions, speculations and wishful thinking are anything to go by, then Bitcoin should be sitting on $100k right now. December 2020 is a pretty long time from now, let's talk about the moment and how Bitcoin can actually go back to its ATH once again. These alts don't determine the movement of Bitcoin, if so, with the thousands of them we have already, Bitcoin should be way higher than it's now.
