361  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Possible hardware backdoors on: July 19, 2023, 08:29:25 PM
Your CPU also has Intel ME though. If people really want to avoid Intel ME and AMD PSP, they need to use Intel CPU before 2008 or AMD CPU before 2013. So it's at least 16 years old PC for Intel and at least 11 years old PC for AMD.
Oh, didn't know about Intel ME and AMD PSP, sorry, a little bit young for that Cheesy

To be completely honest, my main concern is that there can be a spy microphone on modern complex equipment. Otherwise, if we air-gap old 2011's CPU, I think we can feel safe. Or in the worst case, build a special room and block radio waves in that area.
It worth to mention that air-gapping of your device is absolutely more than necessary if you don't hold thousands of bitcoins and aren't someone special.
Given the current technical possibilities for surveillence, I think IF a powerful organisation or government does want to spy on someone or a company, they have plenty of tools available.
One tech that comes to mind, which seemed pretty mind boggling to me at the time (already a few years old), is a special video-analyzing software that can be used to analize micro-vibrations on surfaces of objects to reconstruct the sound emitted to create these vibrations.
I guess it depends on the quality of the video, however as technology advances these limitations will also be less and less of an obstacle.
362  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [INFO]-Crypto Stamps- Collectable Blockchain postage stamps on: July 19, 2023, 08:21:54 PM
I received mine - I was able to order the first day but not until several hours into the day so one of the NFT stamps were already sold out. I have the "bottle" and "pacifier"  - If anyone has an extra "rainbow" and is willing to sell me one, I would be very appreciative.

Not a fan of the recent Austrian crypto stamp releases but these look kinda decent.
However, the bigger question here: What are those slabs you are using on them? They look amazing!

Are they the same size as the previous (carton/paper based) Austrian CS?
363  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2023-07-10] Bitcoin (BTC) May Hit $50,000 by Year’s End and $120,000 By 2025 on: July 18, 2023, 11:21:29 PM
While it's nice to have bigger companies publishing some bullish Bitcoin forecasts... It's again not much more than speculation.
Bitcoin Halving is coming early-mid 2024, given how the price reacted to the previous cycles I personally believe there is indeed a good chance. Then again, Bitcoin is always up to some suprises and you cannot just assume things will always play out the same - one of the reason in a market situation is: If everybody assumes the same thing, the actual response to the assumed outcome will happen way before the expected outcome.

So let's just see what reality has to say to these predictions - after all Bitcoin-price "may" go up to $50k and beyond. Or it may not.
364  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin has already campaign for itself on: July 18, 2023, 11:11:20 PM
Let me say that Bitcoin has taken it stand and theirs no point of carrying out campaign of Bitcoin like before or imposing Bitcoin knowledge to children which we know that with time those children you are trying to teach bitcoin will know of Bitcoin through a social media. I have come across so many topics pointing at teaching children bitcoin why Bitcoin has already taking space of it own as decentralized currency. Do you know that with the awareness of Bitcoin now you don't need to convince somebody to invest in bitcoin, why before you have to convince people to invest, bitcoin is now a choice of investment which anyone who invested will Google out the process of investing through internet direction, I love to say Bitcoin has plant itself with internet dispensation of information.

Learning is a continuous process
Hmm yes and no would be my response to your statements.
Yes, Bitcoin has a reputation of its own and yes it is part of *some* investment portfolios already.
Yes, you should NEVER try to convince anyone to invest in anything. All you can do is give them some information on the topic. What they decide to do with that information is up to them.

No, I think the foundation and some part of Bitcoin's history should be part of both economics and mathematics in school. Again, it's not about convincing children how awesome Bitcoin is - it's about showing WHAT it is and WHY it does exist in the first place. That's all there is to.
No, I don't think Bitcoin that there is indeed a real awareness of Bitcoin among the average citizens. It's still a long way to go until understanding basic Bitcoin will be on a similar level as understanding basic google-search or Wikipedia knowledge.

Naja, upswing is upswing I guess.
367  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [2-DAY-AUCTION] Squirrelbits - Scarce.city on: July 18, 2023, 06:28:25 PM
I just noticed - is the typo intentional on that piece?
Haha, I never noticed this. It's actually called Hold not HODL?! What is going on.  Huh Shocked Cheesy Thanks for pointing it out - how did you even see this?
Is hold even still a word that exists in the dictionary in 2023?  trolol

I assume that the prolly intentional -slang- spelling mistake is the "psychopaths" part...
I feel bad for derailing seek3rs thread a little. But indeed there is a s missing. Didn't even notice, quite hard to spot unless you know about it.
Still, I find it even more strange to write HOLD instead of HODL.

369  Economy / Collectibles / Re: Titan Mint Coins- Serious Issue- Titan Mint Bitcoin Coins ***NEW UPDATES*** on: July 18, 2023, 06:04:24 PM
Just thought that I would share with this forum that I received an email from Tim on 7/1/23, stating that he was going to be scheduling a webinar in July to help owners of 2fa coins redeem their coins.  I have sent a follow-up to him to find out when he will be scheduling the webinar.  Have not heard anything back from him.
As you know from my earlier posts, I am a 2fa owner that has been trying to get my 2fa coins redeemed since November 2021, with no success to date.
Please keep us updated on this one.
Do you know which date exactly this webinar is going to take place? Or, the better question I guess, did you receive a response to your follow-up mail?

Interesting info from Mopar. Can add to the mess and could indeed be the reason/explanation for unfunded priv-key coins.
However the BIG RED FLAG remains, disappearence of the website resulting in the inability for any 2fa coin owner to access THEIR funds.
Disgusting.

Let's see if this webinar thing turns out to be just hot air again or hopefully will help resolve all current issues.

PS: I agree with ChuBi, calling what happened over the last several years (including total lack of communication from Tim) FUD is just naive.
370  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [2-DAY-AUCTION] Squirrelbits - Scarce.city on: July 18, 2023, 05:56:27 PM
Extremely sexy squirrel bit piece, looking at these close-up photos might rate it among my top5s from Liquid.
Hope I find the time to register an account with scarcecity soon.

Good luck with your auction!
371  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [SALE] LuckyFool / Caribbean Treasures MicroBits 999 Silver BTC Wallets!!!! on: July 16, 2023, 03:56:59 PM
Looking forward to some loaded mini-gold bars/coins. I hope they will still be affordable - I personally would love some 1, 2 or 3 g gold collectibles with a not crazy premium on spot price and still a low loaded denomination (less value or max same value as current gold value).
Just my two sats on the topic, but cool to see so many "weird" (meaning unusual) stuff in the making.

In around two weeks I'll hopefully hold my 1g bars in hands, excited to see these mini bars. Will probably post a few pics when they are here.
372  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [SALE] LuckyFool / Caribbean Treasures MicroBits 999 Silver BTC Wallets!!!! on: July 14, 2023, 02:32:54 PM
These are beautiful but one thing I will say is that I wish the load amounts were higher. UTXOs of 10,000 and 7,500 sats will most likely be un-spendable in a future high BTC fee environment

Hmm, I don't see the problem here. You can create a 1sat/byte transaction. Sure it may take a while to get through, but that's just around 110 sats spent for the entire tx-fee, still leaving you with 98 - 99% of your original Satoshis.
The number I remembered that's considered dust is way lower than 7500 Satoshis, around 500 sats.
Also, your argument about the bitcoin future, not sure if it's valid. If Bitcoin adoption and price goes up a lot, even tiny amounts of satoshis will be worth more. I guess we will find some kind of equlibrium for transactions fees in that. And max-blocksize (in MB) may be adjusted every once in a while, at the same time L2 solutions will reduce main-chain traffic (check out Ark, a possible alternative to Lightning if interested in more).

That said, personally I'd also prefer slightly higher loading values, 15 - 50k sats, but I still like the idea of these bars to long-term-hodl a lot.
373  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [SALE] 1HoDLCLUB x Silk Road 2.1mBTC Fine Silver 999.9 Square ingot on: July 14, 2023, 02:19:43 PM
Website looks great - clearly prefer this one over the previous desing, well done.

Anyone on the fence of getting the 1 Euro coin mockup - do it! It's a perfectly finished (gilted) silver coin, and mega fun to anyone that is in daily contact with the Euro money.
374  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [SALE]Balletcrypto "Polygon (matic) Gift Cards" - 49 available on: July 13, 2023, 06:15:39 PM
Does these card support polygon chain?

as far as I understand it, it is just Polygon (matic) that is supported by Ballet.
Great, this release just made MATIC go PUMP! https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/polygon/
Just kidden, but good timing.  Wink

Thinking of getting. - Are these indeed a limited edition or what does 44 available mean exactly?
375  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [SALE] LuckyFool / Caribbean Treasures MicroBits 999 Silver BTC Wallets!!!! on: July 13, 2023, 06:12:11 PM
Said it before, gonna say it again, totally in love with these minimini collectibles - first of its size to be loaded afaik!
Can't wait to see these bars IRL. I probably want some of the luckyfool coins, too. Will shoot you a pm soon.

Great work guys and very cool colaboration. GG!
376  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: is it Advisable joining Bitcoin signal group? on: July 13, 2023, 02:19:41 PM
No free lunch theorem. There is no free lunch, remember that and you will figure out facts behind free signal groups.

They do not charge you any joining fee initially but they will steal your money by giving you some signals and make you excited, greedy to buy up tokens for them to take profit.

Paid groups can be scam too. They can be other versions of free signal groups but try to double scam you with joining fee. Very few paid signal groups are legit and good but you must pay ridiculous expensive joining fee. I am sure you will not be able to join those groups if you are not rich and have big capital.

You can use your money to buy a membership from on-chain metrics websites like Glassnode https://studio.glassnode.com/pricing

Glassnode Insights has weekly free reports to read https://insights.glassnode.com/
<- What he said. Everything you need to know.

If you like the thrill of "investing at the right time" you can also support your local fortune teller instead.
I am talking about Bitcoin signals. Unless the group is connected with mega-whales (very very very unlikely), they will not have an effect on the market price.

If they are giving signals for shitcoins/tokens, yes, they might "predict" some mega jumps/pumps correctly. The reason being, these markets can be easily manipulated with small amounts of funds. That does not mean it will be a profitable endeavour for you, though. The only ones profiting from the pump will be the owners of such a group, the signal makers.

Just stay away from this type of stupid scam-game and HODL.
377  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: breaking the satoshi's on: July 13, 2023, 11:47:29 AM
just assume,

if the bitcoin price rose very much that one satoshi's price became $1 and a person need to send $0.50 to another person,

how would he send half of satoshi?

is it possible to break satoshi in parts or any other solution?

it's just an assumption so don't reply me with hate and don't tell me that at that time the $1 will worth 0.01 cents. my question is that is it possible to send half satoshi?

As already pointed out, it is very unlikely this will be relevant in the foreseeable future. Even if, there are possible solutions, either via L2 chains or by a fork that could most llikely find a massive majority (consensus) if the need is really there.
However, one thing to keep in mind: $Cents today are mostly used in theory/on paper. It's easy to keep track off-chain of these tiny amounts when making a purchase and if the Bitcoin protocol would indeed not allow amounts to be sent that are below $1, it's very likely vendors would just round down prices at the exit point of their shop system for customers. These tiny amounts are just not really relevant in real-life business is what I am saying.

tldr: Many solutions available for a "problem" that still is on a long way to actually become a problem.
378  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [auction] clay cast vintage silver poured bar funded btc 5/10 on: July 13, 2023, 11:30:55 AM
Hey dozers. Very interesting bar. Not really familiar with clay cast's products, so I tried to look it up.
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5222206 - Were only 5 bars actually produced or are the other 5 bars sold unfunded? I wonder, because the weight is missing for #6 to #10, so probably there are only 5 of this run of bars in existence?
379  Economy / Collectibles / Re: Future LuckyFool “Small Batch / Special Reserve” 999 Silver BTC release on: July 13, 2023, 11:22:58 AM
If still a spot available, put me on the list please.
Cool project, we need more high quality silver bars. And with freestyled unique artworks, that is something!

Any eta on loading amount?
380  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [AUCTION] LEALANA Monero Brass Coin (5 MONERO) on: July 12, 2023, 09:48:05 AM
Good question. In a recent auction by agrawas it went for 0.0013. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5458904.20
That said, recent forum auction prices have been on an all time low. I belive 0.0013 is very unvalued.
Several possible reasons. World wide recession and inflation, not many active forum members, Bitcoin surfing along without much bull attention. So my guess is prices will be much higher (soon?) again.
