I just phone ahead to make sure they have enough coins, then head over and pay them cash anonymously for coins directly from their laptop into a paper wallet I supply.. They honor the price listed on their website.

I'm pretty sure they own and operate their own ATM. They're a small family business.

The last couple of days they've displayed this:

Have you ever cashed any out there Jimbo?

No. I only buy and hoard. (hoadr?)

The only time I ever sold any Bitcoin was to sell $150 worth because I was short on pocket cash and was going to the ballpark.

I did that when Decentral still had their ATM on premises. I hadn't thought that I'd have to wait for 6 confirmations to get my cash. Silly me. I didn't want to miss a pitch so I went to the game and realized I didn't really need to sell after all. I didn't go thirsty. Got my cash after the game.

Now if I ever needed a small amount of cash to tide me over, I'd go to Deloitte. They don't charge any fee to sell but they have a $100 daily limit:

For larger amounts I'd use York Foreign Exchange. They're downtown and only charge 3%. I'm not sure of their limit but a friend sold $2000 worth recently with no problem:

Thanks for this tip. It'll be useful when visiting Canada.

What is happening with this pump and dump ? For a few days it has been jumping and jumping and today it reached an amazing 3000$ ( i seen on cex.io ) and i went to take a nap, woke up and seen after 2 hours 2300$ giant dump, didnt expect that, hope it wont go below that

what do you guys think ?

bad idea that i woke up haha Cheesy

I have an explanation better than your nap:

I don't always have enough cash to buy, but when I do... It's the TOP!

And here we go to another dive!

Three days ago we were at $2001, three days later we corrected back down to $2300 from a high of $2760. We needed a healthy correction, the price was rising too fast.

That's because I bought the top. This rollercoaster just let me a little sick.

Actually Ibian's view is not rare, look at the population growth for major western countries.   Then maybe also the demographics within any population growth, sometimes its only the immigrants who marry and have children which leads to society tension possible.

Japan is dying off, China has a falling working population.   These factors do not underpin growth, eventually GDP will suffer even though its based on many factors developing not just available working population.     The view that people are the cause of problems, cost more then they are worth.  This is not a rare view,  Ibian is not the anti christ I can confirm, he is a normal person with a normal view and its an incorrect view imo.
People represent growth, relevant to bitcoin we need people to use this crypto standard or it will not grow properly and the price is overblown.   A major market trader I follow called negative on bitcoin recently based off this, he does not like the failure to mainstream the crypto interest and as an indicator expects a reversion to mean ie. lower pricing eventually

I feel relieved to know.

We clearly have had different experiences of marriage.
How old are you and how old is your wife?

This is relevant, no need to look for excuses to get defensive.

Not defensive. Just aware this is very off-topic and supposed to be getting something constructive done. Unwilling to open a can of worms that - like bitcoin - is likely to be pre-settled in a person's mind rather than liable to be changed by discussion (or, as it happens, evidence - there's plenty of academic studies on it).
Since you asked, I'm in my late 30s and she's 3.5 years older than me.
Ok so she's too old to realistically leave and find someone else, and you likely got married before divorce court became what it is now. That's why you are happy to defend marriage. Your wife is TOO OLD for you to worry about her splitting with your shit.

For the rest of us, it doesn't take an academic study to figure out that getting married today is about the most self-destructive thing a man could do.

Are you the antichrist itself, Ibian?

I find after extensive investigation it's usually down to a lack of money. Some people are just born to suckle on the shitty end of the stick. And there but for the grace of God go any of us.

The most thankful you are, the more you get back. Always be thankful with all your heart.

Yes sir! That's why I always #feedthehomeless  @ohyperjacked

God bless your life, my friend. The world need more people like you!

Lack of respect.

Why are they poor? Ask them that next time, before handing out anything.

370  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Why there's no Ethereum Classic full node program? on: May 22, 2017, 02:45:40 AM
I wonder why I have no options to run an Ethereum Classic full node, downloading the blockchain and having a wallet.
Accessing https://ethereumclassic.github.io/ (is this the official project website?) the given wallet options are Hardware Wallets, the stinky Jaxx and some online websites (even a Google Chrome Extension).
I think those options (except for Hardware Wallet) are very unsafe and the awful Jaxx scam wallet is blocking some ETC I've mined.

everyone who ownes 500 btc is a $ millionaire now.

Imagine how rich Kwukduck would be if he hadn't sold all those coins for $10 each in 2012.

Hopefully when Laszlo Hanyecz paid 10,000 bitcoins for a couple of pizzas on May 22, 2010 he had lots more. He must be filthy rich now.

How about the Winklevoss twins? A quarter billion between them?

Congratulations holders.

It's Saturday night. I think I'll go out for a few frosties to celebrate.

I spent it all on pizza long ago:  https://blockchain.info/address/1XPTgDRhN8RFnzniWCddobD9iKZatrvH4

3-4 years ago there were less than 100 people frequenting this forum, and I was pretty happy to trade 10,000 coins for pizza.  I mean people can say I'm stupid, but it was a great deal at the time.  I don't think anyone could have known it would take off like this. Smiley

Laszlo

He spent everything, unfortunately  Cry Cry Cry

2 k.
One of the best weekends ever Smiley

Porsche or ferrari? Cheesy

Strangely enough, as high as bitcoin goes I still look for a reasonable car under $5k that will last a few years with low maintenance.

Though I spent more than that in the last week on a vacation.

I think the same way.
373  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: May 20, 2017, 02:16:28 AM
same. all my friends for the last 5 years have believe that they had "missed the boat."

what a shame.

edit: whoa  Shocked go bullstamp

Same here too. I'm still telling them it's still cheap. They want to kill me hahahahahah.

Another fine good morning Bitcoinland.

We had another "correction" back down under $1800 and another small leg up... currently $1869USD/$2540CAD (Bitcoinaverage).

It's been exactly a week since our last ATH. It's about time for another.

Go Bitcoin go.

377  Local / Brasil / Re: onde comprar bitcoin " barato " on: May 18, 2017, 05:39:53 AM
Ta bom eh fazer arbitragem em uma nacional, como a foxbit, e outra internacional

dolar btc
R$ 3,71 / R$ 3,74

Dólar Comercial
R$ 3,13 / R$ 3,13

... > BRL > USD > BTC > BRL > ....
