366  Economy / Securities / Re: Earn 10% On Your Deposits~! PYRAMINING Referrals Here! on: May 01, 2013, 09:56:31 PM
Has anyone actually recovered there costs from this yet?

I believe most of the people are investing in the ASIC side since normal investment seems pointless

369  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: GUIDE - Make your own open frame rig. on: May 01, 2013, 06:53:57 PM
Started hastily with a lego rig that grew to this:

When I needed to cool the cards better (run the fans at a lower speed, spread out cards), I found some scrap wood and my trusty nail-gun and the result exceeded my usual "just enough" approach...

(the 5830 will be hooked up when the cablesaurus shipment arrives)

Does the wood work fine?
370  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: Custom frame for BTC mining (Up to 24 GPU ) $150 - $190 - $200+ on: April 30, 2013, 02:55:10 AM
It is an interesting design for a high density setup.  Let me mull it over some more and I will get back to you with some thoughts.

I look forward to your feedback.

Latest update 4/29/13: I have found a Linux developer that will put together a light version of Debian that will specifically be developed for this rack. It will allow the entire system to run from a USB key that will come pre programmed with Cgminer, optimized for 6 GPU per motherboard with a very light OS and graphic interface to optimize the Hash/Watt. It will also allow the operator to monitor the rack remotely.  AUTO INSTALL and AUTO RUN (no computer knowledge needed, 99% Plug & Play).

I am interested please keep us updated

372  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTS] 6 x Aluminum cases for you next mining rig! on: April 25, 2013, 07:04:16 AM
I'll concur - my 2 racks arrived quickly and expertly packaged.  They even came with Mobo risers and screws.  Very nice work, giga.

I aim to please!  Grin

Since there seems to be more interest for cases, I'm going to have 20 more created.

I'll leave 10 of them unassembled if some of you would like to assemble them. Expect an update in this thread when they are ready.

Please let me know as soon as you have these available I would be interested in purchasing one

376  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: My Article on Mining Profitability on: April 23, 2013, 04:12:48 PM
Whether mining makes sense depends on several factors that make predictions almost impossible.

I wrote an article a few days ago discussing these factors and would love your feedback and comments.

Thanks in advance.

Their hash rate is jumping all over the place. Went down to 550 gh/s then now its almost to 800 gh/s
378  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: BFL video of a 5 GH/s hashing rig on: April 22, 2013, 09:56:18 PM

379  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: How much electric power will this 12GH/S GPU miner user? on: April 22, 2013, 02:06:17 PM
That's not going to be 12 gh/s -- 12 7970's maybe hit 8.5 gh/s
