361  Economy / Speculation / Re: Next week, is that the last chance? on: August 17, 2017, 03:25:00 AM
4 years ago one said last chance.Free years ago one said last chance. A year ago they said last chance.
And now the BTC is at $ 4000. There is always a chance up to $ 10,000
You just have to be courageous to get rich. It does not go by itself

Totally agree with this. There's always a chance here in btc investment. I think we should consider everyday as a last chance on a different perspective. What I mean to say is if you are thinking of investing in btc today but still thinking about it, you should consider every day the "last chance." Every single day is an opportunity and that we should always grab it as soon as it shows itself.
362  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will bitcoin go pass the 5000 USD mark? on: August 17, 2017, 03:16:12 AM
Yes definitely it will surpass the 5000 value. Last week I've been saying to other threads that we will be seeing the 4000 by the end of this month and that we will pass 5000 by the end of this year or early next year. But look at the numbers now. We're still half way of this month. Just as I thought that my prediction last week was due to my confidence in btc. Clearly I underestimated its potential. So, it might be an exaggeration but now I'll put the game a little higher at 10,000 by the end of this year of the trend goes on.
363  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: $45 Million: Ukrainian Lawmakers Reveal Big Bitcoin Holdings on: August 16, 2017, 05:34:47 PM
https://www.coindesk.com/45-million-ukrainian-lawmakers-reveal-big-bitcoin-holdings/

Quote
Recent disclosures by members of Ukraine's national legislature revealed that three lawmakers have a combined wealth in bitcoin of more than $45 million.

According to a report from RIA Novosti, Russia's international news service, the three lawmakers are all members of the "Petro Poroshenko Block," which constitutes the largest grouping of legislators within the Parliament.

Of the three named by the report, Dmitry Golubov possesses the most bitcoin: 8,752 BTC, an amount worth roughly $36 million at current prices. Alexander Urbansky possesses 2,494 BTC while Dmitry Belotserkovets owns 398 BTC, worth approximately $10 million and $1.6 million, respectively.

The disclosures come as Ukraine inches toward regulating the cryptocurrency.

I wouldn't be surprised if leaders of all developing countries held bitcoin - it's the one asset that can't be frozen if you get tossed out and need to run...

I agree it's the best way for those leaders to hide their ill gotten wealth. Actually it is very timely here in our country. There is this chairman of the commission on elections who was reported by his wife. The wife said that he have 30 bank accounts and a hidden wealth of about $20M which he didn't declared in his assets. He countered by saying that it was his family's. That they earned it from forex trading.

If only he and his family knew about btc I don't think he'll be facing those charges right now. Grin
364  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is it wise to invest 1k into Bitcoin at this point? on: August 16, 2017, 05:03:37 PM
It actually depends on how long are you planning to invest. Today, we had value as low as $3985 and the highest is about $4400. I think it's better to wait for not higher than 4100 before you invest.

If you are planning for a long term investment like minimum of 6months to 1 year, then you can invest your thousand by all means. But I'd rather you study the trend first.
365  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I am pretty confident we are the new wealthy elite, gentlemen. on: August 16, 2017, 11:40:49 AM
Are you currently putting all your money into bitcoin?  If you say this, you show you believe it by your actions.  I am putting all my money into bitcoin - I see a possibility of $50-$100+ per coin this year.  Just think, once the "bankers" and hedge funds find out about this, we are going to the moon.  Once my bitcoins are $1,000+ I will be able to pay off my growing college loans and maybe get an apartment, and my first car Smiley
I'm only a teenager. I could only scrounge up so much despite my 1000+ BTC loss. I have 95 BTC incubated so far.

Well then you are so lucky to have that amount of btc at a young age. For us who are new in btc and still have to wait months before we even come up with 1btc it's hard to keep up with you guys. I was wondering what online job offers at least 1btc for a month. I'd be more than happy working with them.
366  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why owning 1 BTC becomes harder everyday??? on: August 16, 2017, 11:27:17 AM
Wow, bitcoin price is increasing everyday at lightening speed!

Are you not afraid someday 1 bitcoin will become currency for the rich dudes?

I know we all want to buy and save more bitcoins in pieces, but the way bitcoin price is going are we really going to keep up?

Edit: I'm talking about owning BTC1 or BTC2... I know people can buy satoshis and save in their wallets.

What do you think, guys?

Actually, btc is for everybody. It wasn't just for the rich people because anyone can have access btc. I agree that the price increase is staggering and quite intimidating for people who wants to own at least BTC1. If you are earning fixed amount of btc regularly you will not be bothered by the price. But if you are investing your hard earned money then that's another story. Do not invest more than you can afford to lose, ever.
367  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you believe the FBI holds the biggest number of bitcoin? on: August 16, 2017, 11:19:29 AM
I think you're referring to the bitcoin wallet that the fbi confiscated from Silk Road which contains 144,000btc. Been seeing this in btc news and other websites. But I don't really think that they are the largest btc holder simply because it was other's wallet that were just seized by them. Technically, it's not their btc.

368  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bill Gates on Bitcoin on: August 16, 2017, 02:30:28 AM
Bill Gates stated that the Bitcoin is the future and that it is better than currency. Would you assume that his statement (as one of the many reasons) added value on Bitcoin which made it stronger and more stable in the system?  Smiley

Definitely. Bill Gates influence is great and worldwide. And no wonder that his statement really helped. Those who don't know btc definitely know who Bill Gates is and one thing for sure, his words are hard not to believe for skepticals. So if you were planning on investing in btc but not yet sure if you will really go for it, BG's words will help you decide right away. And that's what convinced a lot of people which makes them invest and helped the stability of btc.
369  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Maybe the future of Bitcoin is in Loyalty points. on: August 16, 2017, 02:10:41 AM
Maybe Bitcoin instead of going full mainstream currency needs to enter the masses through loyalty bonus point type programs. Loyalty points were really the original virtual currency....it's a lot less intimidating to the average user to collect 'points' or tokens and redeem them alongside normal fiat pathways.

Say Starbucks gave out digital crypto points with a purchase made through your cellphone or credit card. Starbucks can firstly have tailor made loyalty program that normally is wasteful and inefficient and customers have then used cryto in a way that means they almost don't need to know its Bitcoin.

There are alt coin projects like Coval moving into this area but maybe Bitcoin needs to enter the masses counciousness through the backdoor of loyalty programs? The loyalty industry is btw worth 70 billion annually so it's not a small thing.

I don't think btc needs loyalty rewards to enter masses consciousness. It already is known widely and I don't agree with the idea of it being a reward tokens that people don't need to know it's btc. People need to know what btc is. They have to be educated about it and its potential of they weren't alreadr aware.

If I have a business like Starbucks, why would I give my btc as a reward token? I'll jist give them a free cup of coffee instead of my btc.
370  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: regret by not believing in BITCOIN? on: August 15, 2017, 09:15:30 AM
who among you here heard bitcoin back in 2009 and 2010? I was one of the people who is very skeptical about it and I really regret it. Sad I missed the best opportunity for a lifetime.

I wasn't really aware of btc until later last year. But yes, I do regret not having heard of it earlier when I can purchase a thousand btc for a lesser price. I wonder what am I doing all those years. But nevertheless, I'm still glad that I'm now part of the btc community.
371  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What Is Your Bitcoin Dream? on: August 14, 2017, 02:39:44 PM
Actually, I have lots of dreams way before I came to know bitcoins. So I'll be enumerating some of them as short as I can.

First, I want to buy a 500 sqm lot and build 2 two-storey house one for my parents and one for me and my husband. Complete with a backyard mini farm where my mom can plant different kinds of vegetables because she loves them and a front garden with different flowers. With indoor pools and a garage for 4 cars.

Second, to establish my dream businesses. I want to put up a perfumery and gift shop. Another business I like is a cafè. And another one is an events place. Lastly, to have my own private resort in a beautiful island.

How I wish I could fulfill all or maybe some of this dream in 10 years.
372  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin on Uber on: August 14, 2017, 07:22:49 AM
Great news! I'm dreaming to see Bitcoin as payment option for Uber as well Smiley

I agree it will not be a surprise if btc will be accepted as fare in Uber. Drivers will not only have income from the fares but also an investment as well. Though for now it's just for a tip I think they deserve some since they offer convenience to people. It's the convenience we are paying them for afterall.
373  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you consider yourself as experienced traders? on: August 14, 2017, 06:44:55 AM
I do have experiences in trading but I don't consider myself a pro. I would love to hear from you soon once your tool was tested. It will really be a game changer to have a useful tool in trading. And I think based on what you said about your tool it will be a lot of help for traders. Will be checking this thread from time to time. Cheers!
374  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What goods have you got from bitcoin results? on: August 14, 2017, 04:25:58 AM
f I can just buy the refrigerator from bitcoin results so far, I am classified as less focus in bitcoin world, but now after seeing the bitcoin price of this I started focus again, because this year I have a target to buy a car ...

If you are anything?

I haven't bought anything from my btc earnings right now. But what I did is invested most of it in our family business. In our place, our family is known for roasted pork called "lechon". Whenever there's an occasion we are the ones they look for it. Back then during my grandparents time they only offer pork and it's upon ordering. But now we acquired a place where we can put up a food stall specializing in lechon and added roasted chicken in our menu.
375  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Let's make ‘Buy Bitcoin’ Sign Appears Everywhere! on: August 14, 2017, 03:44:12 AM
I think that was a good strategy promoting bitcoin. Instead of spending money to go to advertising agencies, holding a banner for the world to see is a good move and I commend that guy for his effort. I wonder if someone will do it in mayweather's fight? All those people who will be watching live on the ringside are rich. They are good targets because most of them are gambler. It's about time they put some of their wealth into btc.
376  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Should Bitcoin be denominated as mBTC? on: August 13, 2017, 06:00:47 AM
Would that increase adoption? I know many people hesitate due to the high price and would probably buy it if it was seen as "less expensive".

For example:

1 BTC =   $3,900 USD = 1,000 mBTC

or

$3.9 USD per 1 mBTC

I don't think it really matters. Whether you put it in mBTC or BTC the value is still the same. Those zeroes are quite confusing if you read it in mBTC. But with the wallet I am using I have the option to set how much I am going to buy in a fiat currency so I don't have to bother how many 0.0000 I have to put if I am going to buy less than 1btc. With that, I don't have to worry whether it's denominated as btc or mbtc.

378  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is this for real? I could be a millionaire? on: August 12, 2017, 11:12:40 AM
Please forgive my cynicism.
I was offered bitcoins in I think 2010 when they were 50p each.
I was tempted to buy £200 worth but had been just lost £200 to a ponzi money scheme so decided against it!

I have seem recent reports saying they are now worth £2,500

Are these the same Bitcoins?
So would I be able to actually sell for cash or money in the bank?

Sorry to ask, but I see lots of people saying they are millionaires but don't think I have seen anyone with the actual money banked.

I mean, my 400 bitcoins would now be worth £1,000,000 and I could actually sell them for £1Million less commissions?

You gotta see I'm sceptical.
Please tell me I haven't made the biggest mistake of my life?

Let me set this right coz I got confused. So you were scammed and lost your £200 seven years ago. Then someone introduced you bitcoin but you didn't buy, right? Well that's unfortunate. And I guess this is the same btc that you're saying. You could have been a millionaire right now if you bought it back then. One thing though, I understand that you hesitated since that was just btc's first year of existence. But where were you last 2013 or say last year? Btc have established itself and that person who introduced btc to you 7 years ago should have been a millionaire right now. You should have heard from him during those past years.
379  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What are your plans with your Bitcoin? on: August 12, 2017, 10:40:09 AM
Hi guys Smiley May I know what are your plans on your Bitcoin in the future? Do you plan to keep on investing on Bitcoin related businesses or do plan to convert it into fiat and ventures on new business?

I'm planning to invest more on Bitcoin related companies and convert some of my Bitcoin into fiat and invest it on our local stock market. How about you?

I got into bitcoin at first mainly just to have an extra income and of course to pay the bills while I find another job. Now that I have profited from btc I am planning to invest more but I have no current plans to invest to other altcoins. I may invest one of these days as soon as I found the right alt to invest into.

I do also have plans on investing some of my profits to a small business. I've been always wanting to have a business in line with perfumes and that's what I wanted to invest for maybe early next year. It will be an achievement for me to put up a business I've been hoping for with the help of btc. And of course it will be a story to tell and a good strategy to advertise btc to my friends and future clients.
380  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: When will banks start a war against bitcoin on: August 12, 2017, 09:19:37 AM
I know we are still at a start of cryptocurrencies, but bitcoin is growing with lightning speed right now and some banks already see it as a potential threat.
There has been a lot of accusations form banks, that bitcoin is perfect for money laundering and is used for supporting crime.
I think they can do a lot of harm to bitcoin market and they will eventually start with harsh campaign against it.
Do you think it will happen and when?

We can't deny the fact that it really is a threat to banks and if you own a bank you will be alarmed if people started pulling out their money. Before it gets worst your first step is to do everything in your power to control the damage btc will bring to your business. That being said, it is a good plan to start with publicity stunts such as propagating bad news to prevent people from investing. Then comes the involvement of government. They have the power to ban btc in their country and the banks will be happy. These things aren't surprising at all but I think at this point they cannot stop btc. What they should do is to study and get on board with btc trend. Develop services involving btc (if the banks in your country don't support btc yet) and it will be a win-win situation for all parties.

I don't know what country have banks that don't support btc but here in ph almost every bank supports btc.
