3601  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 11 years without Satoshi on: December 14, 2021, 02:23:34 AM
He is one of the real anonymous experts where they can talk to us at the same time hide without even knowing a single piece of information about them except for their internet names. As time goes by when bitcoins were gaining popularity, hiding with the same time engaging with conversations to this community has no longer works because looks like more people are interested in him, and for his safety, it's best for him to just disappear without a trace and let people wonder who he/she really is. I hope he is working on more development behind the scene or more ideas to keep the coin decentralized forever.
3602  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: GGG vs Murata - Reschedule on: December 13, 2021, 12:33:58 PM
He has beaten everyone in the Middleweight division so who's left for him except champions like Murata or maybe one of the Charlo brothers. But that is if Charlo wanted a piece of GGG right now because it seems they have been avoiding him for quite some time now. So I guess it's better for GGG to really target Murata and wait for the fight to be available.

He deserves to get a huge fight before he retired because the guy is amazing when it comes to fighting anyone who is capable to beat him but most of the time he managed to beat them instead. His record is incredible with only 1 loss and a high percentage of knockout wins, I'm sure he will give us a sure entertaining night which will be recorded in boxing history. Too bad guys like him have reached the age where they need to rest on their profession, I hope there will be some people who will gonna be like them in the future.
3603  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Indian Prime Minister Promoting Bitcoins Giveaway on: December 13, 2021, 11:46:13 AM
This is just a common hacker but it's too serious for the other who doesn't really know what's going on. In fact, when someone posted like this, there always be a victim who thinks the posts came from the owner of the accounts that are being hacked. nevertheless, you should be able to tell the post was not from the owner since it is a form of the giveaway which are often used to scam and you should always remember that no matter who posted it, they are vulnerable to this kind of hack which was circulating Twitter accounts that belong to the people who have lots of followers.
3604  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How safe is USDT? on: December 13, 2021, 05:01:10 AM
This is a question i had for a long time, ive seen majority of traders buy and trade crypto through USDT,they just blindly trust it ,as its purpose is that of a stable coin ,i.e. basically a crypto replacement for USD($).
But what if the company behind USDT decides to cheat its holders,is there any way we can find out before a complete disaster? (for e.g. they start minting more coins unnecessarily)
is there any safety mechanism or a red flag indicator before its too late?

To be safe, all you need to do with the USDT is to temporarily convert some of your altcoins or bitcoin to it when the market is congested and after that, you can either convert it back or cash it out as soon as possible. But if you decide to hold it as if you don't think of the other way might happen, then that would be a major risk because USDT is not really decentralized like BTC. anytime it can be completely blocked by its owner and you don't have any idea how hard it to restore it or maybe you will lose your crypto assets forever.
3605  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: December 13, 2021, 04:13:08 AM
The Lakers and Blazers are struggling on the teams that are not even championship contenders, looks like they were dragged too low with their current playing condition this season and let others get their spot in the playoffs. They should have easily managed to stretch their lead but they're the one's are struggling right now and if the Lakers will lose this one too, that would hit them hard because the fans will toss them again just like when they lost the game vs the Memphis.
3606  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: No..Craig Wright Was NOT Named Bitcoin's Creator on: December 13, 2021, 03:39:34 AM
This misinformation will always continue to spread, the reason is clear, simply because exciting news gets more people's attention and that's exactly what the press wants, they want to attract more readers to their newspapers and news and make a lot of noise, so they choose exciting misleading headlines with care, The American newspapers  is particularly good at this.
In fact, they don't care if the CW is lying or true, they just want the news to spread among the largest number of people to get fame and more advertising revenue.

Their title is misleading and it's like a clickbait title on youtube where the reality it's nothing that you've expected. they've been doing this for a long time don't really care if they mislead the people or not. in fact, this is their job they've even gotten so many lines on some songs where they were pinpointed as giving wrong information. right now, they put Craig Wright on the headline because of his claim as the founder of Bitcoin without any solid proof they just don't care at all.
3607  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Nonito Donaire vs Reymart Gaballo (WBC bantamweight) on: December 13, 2021, 03:05:13 AM

Yes, that left body shot hit Gaballo's body so hard that he cant stand even he still want to fight. Its just that his body cant bear fighting anymore, I feel sad for Gaballo, its his first defeat. But anyway he's still young and many opportunities might come to redeem himself.

Congrats to Nonito Donaire, once again he proved that he is a legend boxer and age is just a number.

That was a clean K.O and he should be getting one big fight before deciding to retire on boxing. Donaire still has the power and perfect timing to execute that power punch to his opponent where he often uses to cause trouble to his opponent and mostly breaks their defense.

He deserves to get a second fight with Inoue but I doubt they gonna give it to them because it seems like the other party is avoiding major risk for their fighter.
3608  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Would You Prefer a KYCed Team? on: December 12, 2021, 11:03:41 AM
There are lots of projects out there that failed even though they show everyone behind the project but it didn't work because they can't find some solid supporters especially on the funds to use for developing their project into reality or it seems like they are only good on their roadmaps but in reality, they don't have the necessary equipment or resources to claim what they can do. So even though they show themselves but their lack of talents causes them to fail because the outcome of their project is like what is shown in the picture.

3609  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you even want all your BTC to be anonymous. on: December 12, 2021, 10:14:25 AM
You just don't have any idea how the other government seized that money from you as soon as they know you are holding a huge amount of it. Of course, you may not experience it in your country since you are residing in someplace where they don't really bother about how much do you own as long as you are paying some taxes but in our country, you need to be vigilant and careful. you need to have lots of connections if you own a huge amount of BTC because if those corrupt officials trace you, they will just simply put you in jail and get everything from you. those people don't have a conscience after all. When they raid houses they get every appliance inside the house, so what more if they knew about your precious BTC?
3610  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: December 12, 2021, 07:22:18 AM
Bulls getting killed tonight, this is a pretty embarrassing game even. It really goes to show how much the bulls desperately need Demar DeRozan when it comes to winning basketball games. Had been a nice showing for Zach Lavine though, currently has 33 points but the really impressive thing is that he’s 7-11 behind the 3 point line. Hopefully they can regroup for next game.

Zach was doing all good but his teammates also need to do their job well and they need to fully support him when he is on fire. they've been fine when they were playing the first game without DeRozan but it seems like their opponent knows well their weakness when he is out. That's what they need, they need to change their line-up and put some effort into their game when the bench players enter the court.
3611  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Unknown Tokens on my wallet? Growing.fi on: December 12, 2021, 06:39:15 AM
This is a new way to hack or scam people, they send fake tokens with a great value and if you are going to try to withdraw it, you have to connect with your wallet and this will put you on a bigger trouble. I have a lot of fake tokens as well since I do participate on Bounties before and I guess this is the main reason for that, if you put your address in public, you are expose to scammers and hackers.
Better way is to avoid transacting with tokens that we don't join any giveaways. For sure everyone knows if the tokens are fake or not or at least we've been interacted with. That's the problem with some newbies they thought they received airdrop and when they claimed it their funds gone connecting to a malware or some hackers software.

Both my Ethereum and Binance Smart Chain has already received those strange tokens where I don't remember I've joined any airdrop with them but I think it came from those hackers who wanted to get some access to our wallet by luring us to their site and they will use the information we fill up on their so-called form on their website to hack us. We better be careful and vigilant to this kind of crooks, they quickly know how to fool us as soon as we get to their turf.
3612  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Lomachenko vs Commey - December 11 on: December 12, 2021, 05:41:19 AM
^^ Loma won by decision already, as he dropped Commey in round 7th of their fight.
It's a UD and no doubt that Loma is really back and he could be the mandatory challenger for Kambosos now. And I think it will be a better match up instead of Tank Davis.
I mean Loma is really climbing back to the ranks and has faces two tough opponents in Nakatani and now Commey and beat them convincingly. Hopefully WBO and WBC will have him as mandatory now.

Either way, Loma needs to fight them and it will be definitely a fight of the year when they show great boxing in the ring. It finds if he give Lopez a chance but right now, he can't be stopped because once again he is rising to get to the top by defeating those in his way especially Kambosos and Tank Davis.
3613  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is the single worst piece of advice you ever received relative to Bitcoin? on: December 12, 2021, 05:18:47 AM
I often read lists of tips and other best practices in the Bitcoin world, but i thought it would be interesting to share the worst Bitcoin advice you may have received throughout your adventure in this incredible monetary revolution.

The worst piece of advice that I received was from those promoters on NFT on youtube where they themselves are investors and they talk about the project as if they were true to their speech but in reality, they were just creating false hype to cover their investment. Poor people often listen to them because most of their viewers are ignorant of the volatility of the crypto market and they only found about it when it's too late. the price has already dropped and there is no way to recover their capital.
3614  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: December 10, 2021, 10:14:13 AM
I was really amused about the Memphis - Lakers game last night. Lebron, Westbrook and Davis all were playing in this game but they still lost to Memphis by 108-95. The reason why especially was that Westbrook performed really bad. He was able to score only 9 points in 33 minutes. He got a 3/9 FG made. He missed many shots as he was not in fine feather.

They were just struggling and letting Memphis get some easy basket by not working in defence like they were before versus the Boston. They were seriously pissed off and discourage about the game last night because just before the game ended, Lebron quickly walk to the locker room without even shaking some hands from any of the players in Memphis. I think this is their 3rd straight loss to Memphis and every time they've lost, the fans make fun of them on social media. They need to do better on their next game though because people opinions bothered them the most if they slack again and let some team like Memphis beat them easily.
3615  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Isn’t KYC anti-ethical to Bitcoin? on: December 10, 2021, 09:48:38 AM
You can still trade BTC with anonymity, it all depends on what you prefer. There are so many exchanges around and most of them are centralized that require KYC. If you are ready to compromise on your privacy then you can join these centralized exchanges. But yes I do agree that most common source of BTC trading is through these exchanges.

I don't know if some known exchanges offer anonymity right now especially those who used to be decentralized are now has changed their point of view because the government force them to do so. However, there are few exchanges out there that still exist offer you their service without getting some KYC from you. They are those exchanges that give you a limit if you didn't pass any KYC to them but right now it seems to me like they also getting unto this kind of exchange and they too are now adopting the policy of making obliged the KYC of their users before they can use their service. just like what happened to Binance and other known exchanges that haven't been like that before.
3616  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Another pump and dump manipulation on: December 09, 2021, 08:48:06 AM
That was scary, and RIP to the people who bought at its ATH they need to move on and say goodbye to their capital because there will be no way for it to recover. Those dudes will plan again another pump and dump strategy but on a different project where investors never thought what might be about to happen on their coins. If this gonna happen on the coins you invested, don't rush to buy other coins again, instead, take a little time to investigate and ponder upon what's going on because abnormal increases in the price have always some kind of anomaly so you better be careful not do the same mistake as the victim has done because they were blinded by the sudden increases of the price.
3617  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Documentary 'Finding Satoshi' will investigate the origins of Satoshi Nakamoto on: December 09, 2021, 08:01:51 AM
I doubt they would be able to keep this kind of news under wraps as the primary investigations are probably done by this point and the footage will more or less be a follow-up on those investigations. It will probably follow through with some possible suspects with some drama thrown in. Still a good watch IMHO.

I don't think it's true because before any documentary is being made, we already know the truth behind it that there is no conclusion on what they are seeking because until now, the only information we know about Satoshi is the info he left public long ago and that was the last clue we have and we don't hear anything anymore from him. As for the new claim that new information is being attributed to him these days, that's all hoax or probably someone wanted to steal his identity again by the false claim of other impostors.
3618  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: December 09, 2021, 04:42:46 AM
The Houston Rockets just beat the Brooklyn Nets today 104-114, that team is the number 1 seed in the eastern conference. Man! this team is starting to get on their rhythms, you won't see such things happening in an NBA season more often and they are now on their 7th straight win. They were the last team last month and they were struggling too much to get a single win after losing almost every game and now they are rallying to get to the top 10 just a few more wins to go.

3619  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Q:Why isn't the Shocking Ethereum Fees discussed more in Media? A:... on: December 09, 2021, 04:01:31 AM
It's true that Gas fees are ridiculously high since a long time now and we are not seeing a resolution to this. It is actually creating market gap for BNB. Nowadays BNB has become the most preferred chain to complete transactions for the token owners.

Vitalik is definitely aware of this issue and I am sure bigger plans are ongoing in the background. ETH 2.0 is definitely coming sonner than later. Otherwise there's literally no solution to the high gas fees.

This is their main concern right now and as soon as they see the decline of users on their graph, they will mainly focus to fix it because that's the only thing that will make them change their minds. When they only see that nothing has changed, and their users are still increasing despite their main problem, then they won't really give some time to fix it. It might be hard for the small investors but as everyone knows, when money involves, the one who gets the benefit will not be bothered about what really happening in his surroundings.
3620  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin - Is HODL the only strategy? on: December 09, 2021, 03:41:38 AM
Hold can't be the only strategy because there are many other strategies that can be taken by making a profit. the proof is that yesterday when the price of bitcoin broke through $68k, it could be sold and bought again when the price dropped to the lowest price of $42k, how much profit did we get and how much time was saved. while if it continues to be held and the current conditions how much profit has been lost and have to wait a long time to be able to return to the highest price.

Yes! buy low and sell high is another opportunity for the investors if they wanted to gain profit other than holding for the long term. But it requires a big amount of capital since as soon as the price rise again for a little percentage, you gonna sell your BTC right away. Unless you switch to hodl a little more longer to maximize your profit. Most of the investors go for a long time hodl because they invested some money they can afford to lose. in other words, those holding for a long term, have already sacrificed their money for the sake of rising the price further more.
