3601  Economy / Speculation / Re: get a loan and reinvest it on: March 19, 2021, 05:20:40 PM
A dangerous idea so far. Borrow funds for need is fine, but take a loan and invest in DeFi would lead you to lose your funds. Very rarely there are legit projects and we can't determine exactly who is legit or fake. For me, I wouldn't take a loan for these reasons. I would agree to take a loan if you are a good trader, perhaps you may build your portfolio if you are lucky and experienced. If you lose trading as well then you are in double loss, because you have to pay capital with interest to release your collateral. So think twice before borrow funds for investment.
3602  Other / Meta / Re: POST QUALITY VS QUANTITY on: March 19, 2021, 05:09:02 PM
Who cares actually? When hunters can earn by spamming then why they will work hard to create quality posts? This isn't just the mistakes of hunters only, there is also the responsibility of the campaign manager to ensure his/her participants aren't getting paid for spamming. If managers avoid accepting such spammer who doesn't care about the forum then all hunters will be forced to make at least good posts rather than spamming. There are a few managers who aren't accepted, spammer. But due to no requirements to become a bounty manager, so even a spammer would be a campaign manager. As a result, spam is just repeating again and again. I regret when I see companies hiring spam managers just to pay low. It's quite impossible to prevent spam totally from the forum.
3603  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: When will you sell bitcoin? on: March 18, 2021, 06:17:28 PM
We buy bitcoin because we want to earn money, right. But most of us are hodlers, when will you sell it?
Pretty simple for me. When I need money. My thought is quite different from others because price doesn't matter for me when I need money. Because I use Bitcoin for my daily needs, although I can't spend Bitcoin directly but I can cash out it. Holding is better, but there should a target when will you sell. There should be a price zone where you want to sell. If you are a trader then it's a difficult subject. But sometimes holding would lead you to lose if you can't take a real-time decision.

Anyway, try to use the search button before creating such threads. Because there are many similar threads where you would find your answer.
3604  Economy / Reputation / Re: What happened to Yoshie? on: March 18, 2021, 06:09:42 PM
YOSHIE was connected with my telegram and have a couple of conversations but seems he was last active on 27 February which is the same date as the forum last login. Expecting he is fine in this COVID-19 situation. Still, it's less than a month, someone would be busy for personal life as well. Regarding the BestChange campaign, I am assuming the manager has been removing inactive participants and it's noticed from the spreadsheet. I don't see anything wrong here either removed or left, because a campaign manager always looks for active participants.

Anyway, left a message for him, hope I will get a response if he is fine or not busy.
3605  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Gokumarket withdrawal problem, scam? on: March 18, 2021, 05:27:37 PM
First time heard about the Gokumarket exchange. Seems they aren't allowing users from my country, so I can't access the site from here. Did quick research about that exchange and didn't found many suspicious issues. As per CMC, they have a good trading volume as well. There are many positive reviews on Google, who knows if all are fake. But I assume there should be real feedback besides fakes. What exactly they are asking you and what is the error? Are they demanding KYC? If so, then most likely you have to comply with their Terms & Conditions and wait for their response.
3606  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: How to Secure Your Assets on Exchange in the Event of Your Death? on: March 18, 2021, 02:50:59 AM
Why should I make things complex where there are easy solutions? For me, I write a notebook where I am marinating all of my crypto wallets and exchange account credentials. So the event of my death my family members will be able to recover the left funds. I wrote everything including wallet seed, second password, and 2FA. So there shouldn't be an issue during the recovery of the funds. Besides that, I have mentioned a trusted person's name and mobile number on my notebook who is familiar with crypto and could help to recover the funds.

I don't think we have to use any third-party service for the next generation in case of my death. I don't see any issue maintain a notebook like this.
3607  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Newbie here - need to understand how it works for my purposes on: March 17, 2021, 05:17:47 PM
Is this the correct and trustworthy site to get it from? --> https://electrum.org/#download

And is there any way to calculate the fee I have to pay when withdrawing money (from Binance for example) into my wallet?
Yes, this is the correct site to download Electrum. But try to verify GPG signatures to make sure your software is original. But make sure you saved your seeds in a safe place. It's more important to secure your wallet. If you can't keep safe your seed means your funds aren't safe.

Regarding withdrawal funds, you will find the fee calculation on the exchange of how much they will deduct. For example, if you attempt to withdraw from Binance then they will show fees there. So you don't need to worry about that, most of the platforms are the same.

For noncustodial wallet fees calculation, you may use Bitcoin Fee Calculator & Estimator

3608  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: offline seed creation on: March 17, 2021, 05:05:14 PM
I second that what was said by @ranochigo. To fully secure your wallet as you want to create a seed offline, means you need a separate device to install the wallet. Otherwise, if the device comes online after wallet creation then still your funds would be stolen. It's easier to buy a hardware wallet rather than use a separate device for the wallet? I have been using Ledger, which allowed me to generate the seed offline and hide your private keys. So an attacker wouldn't able to steal funds without the device or seed. Always you have to sign the transaction through the device. So better to get a hardware wallet rather than use wallet software and generate seed offline.
3609  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Visa: We make it possible to buy bitcoins using Visa on: March 17, 2021, 04:49:26 PM
I heard a few days back Visa is going to enable crypto use for their users. Yes, it would be easier to consume our Bitcoin when we could load and spend Bitcoin through a Visa card. I am assuming they just seeking how to avoid volatility and convert Bitcoin into fiat instantly. I don't think they will take the risk of volatility. However, still, it's a positive move for Visa because their use would increase more when they will enable crypto uses officially.
3610  Other / Meta / Re: Rules And Regulations Of Forum on: March 17, 2021, 04:37:44 PM
Rules and regulations are those principles or policy that govern a particular community.
It looks like plagiarism, but I can't find a source. If it's not plagiarism, it sounds like you're writing a school essay. Or are you just fishing for Merit?
I am assuming OP used Article Spinner, so it's quite complicated to identify plagiarism sources. And I second that OP just seeking merits. At least I am not gonna feeding here.

@OP, don't know the intention of your post, but you should check at least pin post when you are posting on a board. Since you are a newbie, please learn how to use the forum search button. When you wouldn't find your desired answer, then just use the forum search button. If the search fails to answer you then go to create a new topic. That way we can prevent spam from the forum.
3611  Economy / Reputation / Re: 1xbet Luring out non-crypto gamblers on: March 16, 2021, 06:05:05 PM
Actually, it's called a YouTube campaign, YouTubers talk for money. Doesn't necessary to advertise legit sites, because they don't care about their subscribers. Also, there is an affiliate system on the 1xbet. I heard that 1xbet does not make problems with affiliate marketers and paying out as a promise. That's why they are promoting their platform out of the forum. It doesn't mean luring out non-crypto gamblers. It's their business and they will try to pull users anyway. So I am not surprised to see their guerilla advertising.
3612  Economy / Services / Re: Looking for Campaign manager on: March 15, 2021, 06:08:44 PM
Good to see OP has got a few suggestions about a few reputed managers. Just be careful when dealing with Telegram. Make sure you are talking with the right person. There many impersonators who would scam you. Read the service thread of each manager and contact them via forum PM first, then you may proceed with further discussion via other social media by confirming through PM.

Anyway, let's give it a try, here is my portfolio. Feel free to contact me if you think I could help you. Legendary - Campaign Management Service by Coolcryptovator
3613  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: {Warning} New Malware is stealing your Google 2FA!! on: March 15, 2021, 05:50:14 PM
Really shocked. How peoples would save their funds where even Google 2FA could steal from the device? If using mobile phone verification then it's also could be stolen with the help of operator helps. It's time to think for something else from the end of Google. If continuously happen that then peoples will lose faith from  Google 2FA although that's no a mistake of Google.

Anyway, we should use high reputed exchange where ask for multiple verifications. For example, Binance requires me 3 step verification during withdrawal, Google 2FA, mobile, and email verification.
3614  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin ATM in a gas station on: March 15, 2021, 05:40:10 PM
ATM bitcoin on gas stations or on shopping complexes doesn't make much difference. Because all are a public place and pretty easy to use as well. Increasing Bitcoin ATM means it easier to use your funds although transaction fees are quite high, at least there is real use. Bitcoin ATM is effective adoption for bitcoin. As much as Bitcoin becomes easy to use the value will increase rapidly. The value doesn't mean the only price, value fully depends on the community. Hope soon we will see more Bitcoin ATMs everywhere.
3615  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Bitcoin stolen from blockchain account! on: March 15, 2021, 05:07:15 PM
After doing some investigating I think someone may have gotten into my gmail account. I have no idea how as my password was completely unique and I didn't use it on any other websites? Is there any way to get an entire login history from google? It seems I can only get the past months activity?
Here you should find the history, View & control activity in your account. You should find all of your histories there. I think you had used a common password and the attacker gained both of your passwords Google and blockchain or you save all passwords on Google. Web wallets are quite risky always. I hope you already realized that. Although Blockchain is claimed as a noncustodial wallet, I doubt it isn't truly a noncustodial wallet. For the future use the wallet where you will have all the control like seeds and private keys.

Anyway, I second that what was said by @o_e_l_e_o. These all are the possible reason of losing your funds.
3616  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Longtime bitcoin holder starting to question the future on: March 15, 2021, 04:49:07 PM
To be honest, I do not regret about my sold Bitcoin. Doesn't matter what was the price, because I sold for my needs. Holding is always better, but how long? No one could answer that even as a holder I don't know that. Sometimes we need to take real-time decision bases on situations. Our high expectations would lead to loss as well. My thought is should sell when I think the price reasonable. For example, yesterday Bitcoin traded Adobe $61K, but today trading at approx $54K. So if you sold yesterday's price then you could buy back today. Keep in mind, there always a dump after a huge pump. I will say hold bitcoin for life but not for a lifetime.
3617  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Advantages and disadvantages of keeping Smerit on: March 14, 2021, 05:27:13 PM
Merit-seeking thread, I am not gonna feeding here. You are just making things complex. There is no clear explanation at all about anything. For me, there wouldn't be an advantage to keeping merits yourself. Not meriting other posts and holding your smerit means it's a disadvantage for the whole forum system. I always like to spread my smerits among forum contributors, so that they could circulate all over the forum. Everyone should think something similar and not holding your smerits.

By the way, please try to write a more constructive post rather than just making a very big worthless topic. The constructive thread would be one line as well.
3618  Economy / Reputation / Re: Death threats by Lucius and ~DefaultTrust on: March 14, 2021, 05:13:59 PM
Why self-moderated? I wouldn't say that is death threats exactly. They are just wishing the dead for each other. I don't think that it belongs to death threats forum rules. Viruses aren't controlling by them, so even they are wishing death but they can't kill anyone this way. But really we shouldn't expect death for anyone. Since you report them now it's the moderator's hand what should do, but the personal belief that would mark bad or soft bad.

Besides that, spam shouldn't moderate with the trust system since the admin discouraged it. Spammers don't mean he is a potential scammer by the way.
3619  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Blockhain.com, cannot sell bitcoin on: March 14, 2021, 04:50:24 PM
By the way I have no idea what KYC or P2P means.
Google it. It means you need to submit government issues documents like an ID card or driving license when you are going to buy Bitcoin. Most centralized exchanges require it to buy bitcoin with fiat.

Anyway, I believe still you have access to your wallet. Had you tried to find your seed? You can recover your funds if you have recovery seed if the funds belong to that wallet. Anyway, just use a noncustodial wallet to store your bitcoin for the future.
3620  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Looking for escrow provider who accepts small trade on: March 14, 2021, 03:52:57 PM
As for BitcoinTalk escrow services, the topic that you mentioned is old, use https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2439910.0
Yea, OP could choose someone from there since the thread creator updated the thread on January 13, 202.

Anyway, since OP creates a public thread so scammers or impersonators would send you PM for escrow services. Just make sure the original person from the above list talking with you. And quite more dangerous is telegram contacts. Don't contact on telegram before verifying the real escrow from here and must verify Bitcoin signature before final deal. Everything should happen via forum PM to avoid scams.
