I just came to post mostly what Snarlpill said. Start with the 2016 Year of the Monkey and continue each year going forward. This gives a good opportunity for early collectors of the series to see profits as new collectors each year drive up the premiums on previous years as they try to collect a full set. This is also seen with Chinese Pandas. Hi yeah a new specific hologram and some kind of design like the silver casascius coins but instead of the 1's and 0's the little devil heads.. anyway I will finalise that nearer the time I guess. I might hold a design competition for the back surrounding the hologram.
Design competition for a new specific MicroSoul hologram sounds cool, I would try my hand at it just for fun. I think it would be neat to incorporate Chinese symbols into it, maybe a rough Chinese translation of MicroSoul if it's only for the MicroSoul Lunar Series coins. As far as what design to make first- I would try to stick to the current year's Lunar animals. Like for 2015 I believe is the Year of the Goat for the Perth Mint and other's silver bullion coins (I could be wrong, I follow coins and silver but not the various Lunar coins). I think you'd have better luck with your goal of them selling to "non-Bitcoin" people if the year and animal matched up with the current year's Lunar animals on other Silver coins. I would really try to play on the low mintage aspect then as well. I will post it to reddit.com/r/Silverbugs for you when you know a production date or something. Big US/worldwide silver and coin community there.

Well that's what ANACS graded it as and you can confirm the serial number on their website.
It's not a nick just a very light impression that pretty much all the coins have.
Obviously this coin isn't for an amateur collector such as yourself.
And I will post much better pictures as I did before for all of the 10BTC and 1BTC coins I have listed before... I just don't have the time right now and I'm not desperate like most poor people on this forum.
You're right, I am not a professional collector, I collect what I like and pay what I think is fair. That being said, I disagree with your assessment "that pretty much all the coins have" these artifacts. Light impressions, yes, nicks, no. I can't tell from your pictures what it is, but I also think we may be talking about different things, so I marked up an image to clarify what I am asking about. I happen to really want a gilded MS69(or 70 if I could find one) and I don't care if you're an asshole, just whether you have what I want. The picture: https://i.imgur.com/Z3uqCQg.jpgVery well handled Hellot, bitmarket.io not so much. A better photo of what appear to be imperfections is certainly justified. ANACS may have slabbed it MS69 but many buy the coin and not the slab.

I used Amagi twice, but not in the last few months due to information contained in this thread.
I now use Provident Metals (8 orders so far) - pretty good selection, great shipping speed, fair prices and they accept bitcoin.
The one thing I do not like is GoCoin, which is who they use for bitcoin payment processing. They quote btc price 2 - 3% below coinbase which is a bit of a hidden fee.

I just received my first Casascius coin! Thanks for getting it shipped out so quickly and being great throughout the entire process, I couldn't be happier ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif) LC sold me my first too, couldn't be happier, and helped me learn a lot. Congrats on the sales & buys, everyone! ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif) Well I am honored to have popped both your Casascius cherry's! It truly was a pleasure dealing with you both - it is a great little community we have here trading these coins which may someday have significant numismatic value.

I know this isn't on your list but I'm getting a silver 1BTC single graded so let me know if you're keen.
Also, this user might be a newb but he is legit.
I just picked up a beautiful MS68 silver or I would definitely be interested ![Cry](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cry.gif) Thank you for the vote of confidence, I don't plan on being a newb for long ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif) Your 68 Silver is on its way! Nice collection you are planning to put together with that list. I can't wait until it gets here! Thanks again for the extremely fast shipping and great communication ![Cheesy](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif) As far as the collection I'm trying to put together, I'm thinking it's going to take a while. I needed a new hobby anyway, there's so much to learn ![Shocked](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/shocked.gif) Whatever you do don't let TookDk get you started collecting PCGS graded Pandas - he got me hooked really bad on those!

My personal recommendations for buying Precious Metals with Bitcoin, that I have personally used and all are very reputable: Provident Metals, Silver Gold Bull, ShinyBars, and last but definitely not least- PMsForSale. Though my recommendations are mainly for US/Canada, check with them as I believe some ship internationally. Though Amagi Metals was one of the first PM dealers to accept Bitcoin, and I have had a good experience with them in the past, I would strongly suggest Not buying from them until they get some recent problems taken care of. Sadly I've seen many reports in the past few months about people waiting months for orders to ship and poorly handled customer service. snarlpill is spot on with all the above...

True that B-Dizzle, the group trading physical crypto's here is full of a bunch of nice and helpful people. If we had a subforum I am sure a lot of great knowledge would be shared. Several experienced collectors/traders, you and TookDk being two of them, were very helpful in providing me useful information and guidance when I began collecting. We should get a subforum, but I think right now Thermos is fully occupied with the mess over at /r/bitcoin. Cheers! edit to add, Eodguy your coin is boxed up and ready to go out in the AM. P The MS68 Silver has now sold ending my sales of Cas coins for a while. I will leave the thread open until the last buyer receives their coins.
Cheers!
Can't wait to get it! Thanks so much ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif) Congrats on that beautiful MS68, Eodguy149 - excellent choice! Can't go wrong with Lesbian Cow she got some really premium coins in her collection ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) I agree... Overall we have an excellent group of physical crypto collectors here! I really wish we could have our own sub here. I think we could really publish a lot of useful info about these coins.

Sure... I'll start the .5 BTC silver at 1.0 BTC1.1, let's go....

There are plenty of newer people buying coins all of the time. I also notice some older accounts that randomly buy them. Casascius coins are an excellent purchase for multiple reasons. The values seem to only go up, they are easy to sell and get liquid, and they are part of Bitcoin's history.
I agree and plan to buy myself a gift in the near future of one of these beautiful very collectable coins. Auction could get interestin now since Lesbian Cow just got back from the pub and put a bid in. Ahh there's nothing like buyers remorse after a drinking session, been there. ![Cheesy](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif) Ha, if I won this coin for that low bid there would be no remorse at all. I believe this coin will go North of 4 BTC but we'll see. The sniping in effect is awesome as it makes the end very dramatic. I have now switched from cocktails to just, you know, blazedout...

Oh My, a blazed auction featuring dazed, QS, TookDk, Cyclops, wheelz1200 - with TheAnalogKid to arrive shortly. Will michael1 swoop in at the end? My sniper rifle is loaded. Haha you pretty much summed up a typical B-Dizzle auction ![Tongue](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/tongue.gif) I think there's about a dozen of us that just trade coins around in big circles. ![Tongue](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/tongue.gif) It may appear that way, but new collectors appear to be coming into the space. Shit, I am new myself. While 100% of my buys of physical Cas coins have been from just a few well known names, that is not the case with my sales. The slight majority of my sales have been to newbies/junior members - many of who say it is their first Cas coin purchase. Of course the cynic could say these could be alts of the same regulars, but I don't think so. IMO the appeal of the Cas coins to a collector is very similar to that of old currencies which were minted during significant historic events - they are not being made anymore - if anything the supply will diminish - and they symbolize, in physical form, a time period/culture. Sorry to derail your thread B-Dizzle, but as we have all pointed out, we have no where to discuss this stuff (which is absolutely ludicrous at this point). If nothing above makes sense it is because I just returned from the pub. Oh, and I bid 3.27 Cheers all!

Hello all, I just wanted to formally thank OgNasty for not just pointing this out in the thread but taking the time to PM me when I didn't notice the thread. Really a standup person and always my escrow of choice. Good luck with the rest of the auction. I am headed out for some cocktails! Cheers! While engraving this coin, I made a bit of an error. The engraving started out of alignment. I went over it multiple times and the public address is clearly visible (the pics make it look worse than it is IMO), but with the right lighting angle you can make out the mistake. I grabbed the below pictures to try and illustrate the issue as best I could. ![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=https%3A%2F%2Fi.imgur.com%2FLUhmJv3.jpg&t=663&c=881BCoCP9_BR3w) ![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=https%3A%2F%2Fi.imgur.com%2F3tBrJiC.jpg&t=663&c=ikabf7e0XuywlA) Lesbian Cow, If you would like to retract your bid, please do so ASAP. Otherwise, happy bidding!

See you then.. Oh and just to be clear for the snipers, this closes at 1800EST not 1800EDT? Good 'ol daylight savings!

Hello Everyone, I hope you are enjoying the weekend.
OP updated to reflect the sale of 1Ag1 MS66 Silver.
Congrats to the new owner! I just packed it up and I am being honest when I say it really is a very nice coin! If I didn't want some different Cas coins I wouldn't have sold it.
