Investing in cryptocurrency is a very nice and lucrative idea but this isn't for everyone. Some people believe crypto is a get rich quick scheme so they invested in it.

Even this
Quote
Investing in cryptocurrency is a very nice and lucrative idea
is a wrong notion and thought. most of people are coming to crypto especially bitcoin because of this information that bitcoin is a lucrative business, how? From your opening statement you have supported the idea of 'Get Rich Quick" league. Please bitcoin is a digital currency that bitcoiners use to buy things online. many people enter into to use bitcoin with wrong orientation.

I can't wait to apply. I don work as INEC Adhoc staff for two consecutive elections but you see this time, I no allow any party to manoeuvre the presidential election result sheet
The election go even dey too hard to maneuver because of the technicalities wey INEC don ensure to be of effect. If them catch you sef, na em go worse pass. Normally, them dey share money for participant wey help conduct election, but if you check the kind locality wey you dey, ahbeg no fail to use you I.Q o, unless you want get wahala with area boys or persons wey just ready to on a go cause kasala.

Davo, there is no technicality in nigerian election. you go see say dem go still try to manipulate di election, the election go hard but dem go still do am. there are 3 major people wey dey maneuver election and election result. 1. INEC, INEC never and ever conducted a free and fair election in nigeria.  2. police dey always support di politicians wey dey pay them peanut. and finally the worst group of pipo in nigerian election is the Judiciary. I am using last Bayelsa and Imo States Elections as a case study.

3603  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Generalized Stock-to-Flow Model on: September 07, 2022, 11:22:06 PM
Introducing the Bitcoin Generalized Stock-to-Flow Model, which predicts only $30K for the present cycle, and $170K for the next (2024-28) cycle:

Bitcoin Generalized Stock-to-Flow Model

#NotFinancialAdvice #InvestAtYourOwnRisk #Bitcoin

That is just a prediction, it has not taking effect. We are still in the bear market in which nobody knows when the bear market will end. the $30K cycle as of now is not realizable until next two months of this year. I hope as it is, it is $19k which is a very bad market. We are not expecting the bull market in this year again though that not withstanding because bitcoin is unpredictable.
3604  Economy / Reputation / What is the Different Between 1XBet and 1XBit? on: September 07, 2022, 09:04:59 PM
In my local casino centers or bet centers I only see 1XBet but when i came to this forum I started seeing 1XBit and I was confused, and I thought that they the same but when I critically look and read their information, they are not but still confused on them. Because I have not heard about 1xbit in my life except 1xbet which is very popular in my area.

3605  Economy / Economics / Re: Banks are changing ..... Bitcoin should wake up and innovate more! on: September 02, 2022, 09:55:35 PM

Are we going to wait for the Banking sector to disrupt Bitcoin.... or are we going to spearhead innovation to stay in front? You decide, if you want to stagnate.... or if you want to run in the front.  Wink

Fiat Banking system can not disrupt Bitcoin. And also Banks will not close branches for online transaction only because the must eat and buy other things. and online transaction can not solve that problem for now. Innovation must but you don't have to spearhead the technological space to change the atmosphere. The more innovations come to the world the more change it become.
3606  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will BTC ever become truly scalable, decentralized and secure? Trifecta problem. on: September 01, 2022, 08:27:17 PM
To me it seems like there have been talks about BTC becoming scalable for many years now. BTC is decentralized and secure no doubt, but if we don't solve scalability, how can this ever work out? And if BTC doesn't solve the trifecta, perhaps an altcoin will; before bitcoin does.

You are contracting yourself. You said,

BTC is decentralized and secure no doubt, but if we don't solve scalability, how can this ever work out?
This your question is even rhetorical question because you have already answered the question by saying that btc is decentralized, and if btc is decentralized how can we solve the scalable nature of bitcoin? I dont think this can be solve. BTC is not own my individual so it will be hard to solve it.
3607  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: My feelings after 11 years with crypto. on: August 31, 2022, 09:06:50 PM
Hello everyone, today i want to tell you about my crypto-depression.
So in 2010 i was working in IT company and my friend from work told me about bitcoin mining.
Next day after this information i register on this forum and start mining coins, everything going perfect but bitcoin price was really low and unstable.
I was investing everything in gpu. Couple times i lost my fund's on scam-exchange but i still had a lot of "mining power".
In 2015 i quited my job and invest my whole savings in bitcoin, in that time i had more than 15 bitcoin's and gpu worth 20k$.
And after 2 or 3 week's everything fucked up, in same time i lost my job and my wife get sicked.
In Nov 2015 i selled everything but still i had -$$$$ to pay, so you probably asking why i made this post?

Now after 6 years i have biggest depression ever, if i only burrow money from somewhere 5 years ago and didnt sell my miners...

I have feelings that i lost my biggest life chance to get really rich and i just want to forget about crypto and work in normal work but it is impossible.
It's hurt much more if you can see that your old crypto-friend's get cars and houses from crypto profit, i wonder if someone have some feeling's as me.

Well it is a fascinating story. I am sorry for everything that happened to you.  Yes crypto can give depression. You did well by registering inthis forum at least you have learned and used it to make profit before the disaster. Mining is one of the difficult and technical aspect in crypto business. But you were able to mine. You wouldn't quite from the job since you know that crypto is not stable.
3608  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Christian and politics on: August 28, 2022, 08:27:00 PM
Is it a good idea for Christians to get involved in politics, because if they are involved in it, they tend to lie, make promises they can't fulfill and sometimes get their hands dirty which is sin.

And ministers of the Gospel, are they suppose to endorse any candidate to their congregants. What's your take?

I also see reason for your question. If politics is a dirty game why must christian involved in politics? And really politicians are not truthful, they lie, they kill, they idolatry, they do all such of evil and they are inhuman. So if Christians join politics are to do all the above characteristics in politics and those things are against God's principles. And the preachers of the gospel are against these things. Therefore, with all these things. Should a christian join politics? OP I support your question.
3609  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: KYC on Gambling Business on: August 27, 2022, 08:53:33 PM
If KYC means to know your customer then it is better the casinos to know their customers so that they can track them if there is any issue. The casinos that were not doing it and now they doing it because they feel that it is better for them to know their customers gambling history of their platform. But it is not compulsory to use KYC in a gambling site it is a random choice.
3610  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Touching the life of random poor kids with all my 3wks campaign BTC on: August 27, 2022, 08:36:27 PM
OP I really appreciate your work for reaching out to those children and help them at point of their need. At least you put smile on the faces, families and friends. Anyone that eats the indomie and child tell them that you were the one who gave them the indomie, then they will remember you whenever they wear the shirts. The shirts are just remembrance to your good deeds to their life.
3611  Other / Politics & Society / Re: At what point will one say that he or she has had enough money? on: August 26, 2022, 09:42:40 PM
The chase for money especially in this dispensation is never ending. People are willing to go all out and do anything (legal and illegal) for money these days. The real question that i am forced to ask is, how much money is enough money?

At what point will one say that he or she has had enough money?

From the Biblical quote. Money is the root of all evil. There is no limit for acquiring of money but when you have enough even though people did not say you yourself it that you enough money to spend. Like if you have 10 BTC, you will know by yourself that you have enough money. People are not satisfy on money because of greed. Even 1 btc is a enough for me.
3612  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: KYC on Gambling Business on: August 26, 2022, 09:26:47 PM
Please some should explain KYC in detail for me. I am trying to understand the acronyms but I can't. I even checked google search to find out the full meaning of the abbreviation but what I see there is more confusing. I saw this "KNOW YOUR CUSTOMER" (KYC). https://www.electronicid.eu/en/blog/post/kyc-know-your-customer-means/en. That is why I want someone to explain it to me.
3613  Economy / Gambling / Re: What is a game you would like to see in an online crypto casino? on: August 26, 2022, 08:46:22 PM
Hey Bitcointalkers,

What games do you like to play (mobile, board games, easy game with friends, etc.) that you would love to see put into an online casino for real betting?

There have been a lot of successful yet simple games in online casinos like Heads or Tails, Over/Under, and more. We are looking to see what games you guys love and wonder if we can turn them into an online betting game!

Game in normal sense is for fun but in the process of playing the game, the players can bet to know who can play well more than the other person. That is where gambling come to play. Therefore, selecting a favourite game to play is base on the interesting aspect of the game and the features the game has. Remember there are some games that are easy to guest and play while there are difficult to guest and play. So the creators of the game can make the game to be easy or the otherwise.
3614  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Btc crime on: August 26, 2022, 08:35:29 PM
Recently 3 suspects were arrested by Israel police for laundering money internationally through crypto. This money was stolen from France. This is a major international money-laundry.

How is it happened? was it stolen from the owner's wallets or the fiat money which was stole was converted to cryptocurrency? I have not really gotten your point. Money laundry is has old as human himself. If money can be laundry across boarders then cryptocurrency which also money (internet asset) can also be laundry. There is no big different between fiat and crypto when it come to stealing. But the slide different is. Fiat uses police, army and other security personals to secure the save while crypto uses seed phrase to secure their save (wallet). Fiat pays people to secure the save while crypto did not.
3615  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Nigeria (Naija) on: August 26, 2022, 08:03:04 PM
New Topic : The return of Colonialism and Colonial Mentality.

Will American or British Politicians under any reason travel to Nigeria or any other country to hold meetings on issues concerning their countries?

There’s what we call national dignity, everyone who took our national matter to hold meetings in a foreign land has betrayed our country.

There’s no justification for this action. Disappointed at Elder Statesman Obasanjo he should know better and should have discouraged this.

They can still gather at Otta farm and hold meetings. This is not pre independence era this is 62 years after independence, you still take matters like national elections which bothers on national security to discuss in a london hotel? This is unacceptable.

It reminds of the pre independence meetings in London in 1957 and 1959. Akinloye, Zik, Awolowo, Tafawa Balewa will be turning in their graves seeing our national leaders 62 years later in London discussing Nigeria. One day the federal executive council will also hold its weekly meeting in London. What a shame and a National disgrace.

Question: What Is colonial mentality?
I was actually going through on my FB and I found this decided to share here let see what we can view from many people.

It is only those who are from the social sciences understand the OP point of view and also the pain he has. Frankly speaking what the OP said is 100% correct as 4 me. That is those men have love, value and respect their own country. How can a leader go out to another country to discuss their country's affairs. Is there war in their country? They can only go out to discuss Nigerian issue out country if there is serious war in the country.

I personally don't see any big deal with them holding their meeting in London or any other place they choose,

Everything is wrong by going out to discuss their country issues in another country. Is there any war in Nigeria? The OP is right. The money which used to lodge in London would have been used in Nigeria.
3616  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Having different perspectives on: August 26, 2022, 03:02:20 PM
Explaining or defining a concept very long does not mean the person knows that thing very well. Sometime the person is defining a text book definition instead of knowing it by himself. This your fiction story remind me of and India movie called " Three Idiot", Ranco was asked to defined what is a machine and he explained by saying that "Machine is anything that make things easy for human to use". And the teacher said he was wrong and another student gave a very long definition and he said the student was correct. But at the end the term. final exam the boy who gave the shot definition took the 1st class position.
3617  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The first physical business that accepts Bitcoin payments in my area. on: August 26, 2022, 02:41:43 PM

3619  Economy / Economics / Re: Why aren't people utilising cryptocurrency payment methods? on: August 26, 2022, 08:24:35 AM
Why aren't people utilising cryptocurrency payment methods? Without it, the adoption would never be able to realise its full potential.

The crypto payment industry is continually growing. Nonetheless, recognition is not at the top of the list. As is customary, there are Bitcoin maximalists who refuse to spend their cryptocurrency on things.

Some people, however, are taking advantage of the cashback chances offered by cryptocurrencies and cryptocurrency cards. I realise that cryptocurrencies and blockchain are only a small portion of the public, but why are those who are currently interested not using bitcoin for payment?

So, do you use cryptocurrency or crypto cards? What are your thoughts on it if you use it? If not, what's the deal?

Accepting Cryptocurruncy as a payment system for individual is by personal choice if the national government has not adopted as the general payment method. Accepting bitcoin as a payment system by individual has nothing to do with the adoption of bitcoin. Let me tell you if government approve the uses of bitcoin in all businesses in the country. Bitcoin adoption will be on it own growing to its maximum potential. Bitcoin will grow on its own if only the state governments approve it. Even though they did not, bitcoin will still grow.
3620  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: mine a Bitcoin or buy a bitcoin? on: August 26, 2022, 07:56:05 AM
Buying and mining bitcoin is all about base on the capital which the person has to start the investment. You know mining bitcoin needs more capital to start because you have to buy the machine and after buying machine you still need energy to power the machine before mining, buying bitcoin is much more easier to the bitcoiner. One can use any amount of money to buy bitcoin and stored it in the wallet to grow.
