3601  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Crypto Casino Stake.com sued for $400 million on: September 04, 2022, 09:00:14 PM
Every businesses are subject to lawsuits. That is a common issue many companies and businesses face daily, what doesn't mean the casino is going to crash and go bankrupt for this reason despite the case's outcomes. I don't know how much Stake is currently dealing with in a daily basis, but for being the biggest crypto casino among all, I guess a hypothetical 400,000,000$ loss won't hurt them at all. Remember a sole gambler wagered more than 1$ billion dollars on the platform already. For the house it's much more profitable to keep operating, even if they have to pay an indemnity, than closing the doors and losing its income that will inevitably cover the prejudice after a while.
3602  Economy / Gambling / Re: Can you suggest a cryto spoortsbookmakers with a free btc giveaway on: September 04, 2022, 07:25:26 PM
I'm surprised that most suggestions provided by users here are the same as what I wanted to write. <snip>
If I am not mistaken here, I believe Freebitco.in is not a sportsbook maker, so I, too am surprised that most suggestion that being given to the OP is this freebitco.in. Remember that he is asking for sportsbook maker specifically.
I don't remember exactly when, but they have added few sports betting options as well on their platform. There aren't many events to bet on, but I think it can be considered a sportsbook anyway. If you check their betting tab you will see all the disponible matches. Currently there is tennis, champions league and cricket, besides traditional bets on btc, eth and fun token's prices.
3603  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Let's talk about p2e games and what awaits in the future on: September 04, 2022, 06:28:02 PM
The year of 2022 isn't a good year for new projects' development. When the market is bearish, people tend to put less effort in creating new content, because they know the demand is going to be low, so is the profit. There are options for those who enjoy the games, but from profitability point of view there is none. You will end spending a lot of time, while not earning a decent amount of money in counterpart.

In some years it's likely the play to earn niche will be more mature and sustainable than it is right now, so we have to wait and continue filtrating projects that become available for us from times to times.
3604  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How do you play online/offline without your wife or family knowing it? on: September 04, 2022, 05:45:58 PM
Sorry, but if you are by the side of someone who you have to hide things, it's better that you don't have that person by your side. People who keep insignificant secrets from their partners can also keep secrets of every proportions, which might prejudice the another person in real time without he/she knowing about it.

if you like gambling, just confess it. If your wife or family will like it or not, it's their problem. We don't have to hide our personalities, who we really are and what we like to do just to please others. Of course we have responsabilities and we always pay the consequences for every of our acts sooner or later, but transparency is necessary in every relationships, so they can bear fruits and evolve healthy. Otherwise, relationships are just a waste of time and energy for both sides.
3605  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Investing in Casino tokens such as BFG, OWL or TFS on: September 04, 2022, 05:38:16 PM

All coins in the market have lost their 60-80% value along with Bitcoin. But compared to that, the price of gambling coins has not decreased much. But as the price of Bitcoin rises, so does the price of gambling coins. So I mean buy and hold gambler coins are more likely to profit than lose.

BFG as of today is $0.017 - it hasn't lost much value but paid massive returns (70% per annum) - so so far despite all the crypto price falls, Euro reaching parity with the dollar and more - token such as BFG are quite reselient.
Very nice! But it's still a risky investment, because we don't have parameters to know if the price is going to keep stable or crash. After all it's like any other altcoin, much more risky and unstable than bitcoin. I believe with such results pointed by you many investors will try this from now on, expecting the currently results repeat themselves futurely and I hope they don't regret about their decision later.

Returns are quite interesting, but it's not exactly 70% APY if we consider how much the token has lost in value during the last 1 year period. From 0,031$ to 0,017$ today. Almost 50% devaluation in price.
BFG token lost rate of 74% from there ATH it is normal . Because all the coins in the market have crashed 70-80% in price on this bad situation . Even though the market is so low, investing in crypto is still too risky . Because the price of Bitcoin is crashing again.  So there is a possibility of a bigger crash in the market
there is nothing wrong if a currency dropped its price from the ATH even if this takes 80-90% but what we wanted to be assured is that if the price will recover , I mean if the project is still consistent in their plans and their white paper and roadmap , because crypto is a place where volatility dictates its prices .
BFG? not sure if this will return in that value even if this will take a years , and also? there are OWL that had proven one of the good investment in gambling platform  so lets see what it goes.
But there is no assurance the price will recover until it recovers, what may happen or not happen at some point... I believe to conclude if the investment is a good idea it should generate at least the same profit percentage investments in general return us, that is something between 5%-8% annually. Adding interest made and discounting token's devaluation we can reach to the real final profit to see if it was worthful or not.

This proportion is essential and must not be forgotten by investors.
3606  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Crypto lender Celsius mulls possible restructuring amid financial woes on: September 03, 2022, 11:17:30 PM
So, and correct me if I'm wrong here as I've not been keeping up to date with this case, does that not imply Celsius are not only planning to just keep the contents of all earn accounts, but are also planning to try use the 90-day clawback rule to try to recover any withdrawals from earn accounts in the 90 days prior to them filing for bankruptcy? So even if you moved your funds from an earn account to a custody account, if you did it within the 90 day limit then those funds will be forfeited too?
Yes, you are right. Also, value must be less than 7575$. At first moment I believed it could incude every customers holding up to 7575$ on their accounts (including Earn program), but it would be too good to be true... Now let's see what is going to be decided by the court.

3607  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Crypto lender Celsius mulls possible restructuring amid financial woes on: September 02, 2022, 02:08:50 AM
Third day hearing at the court: Celsius proposes returning money back to customers who had their funds at Custody and Withhold accounts (not Earn and Borrow programs). It must cover a slight percentage of total customers, while the majority who was there obviously to earn interest or borrow money is ignored.

The reason behind the proposal might be this one:

Mashinsky doesn't give one without taking two...

3609  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Projects and social initiatives accepting donations in bitcoin on: September 01, 2022, 06:04:24 PM
Thanks for all suggestions. i'm looking each of them and would like to help most as possible, unfortunatelly my budget is limited, so for now I'm going to pick one or two, but I'm going to come back on this thread later to help another projects as well once I can donate more.

By efficiency? Do you mean percentage of the money used for the program itself (e.g. helping people or develop new technology)?
With efficiency I mean practical results we can see for real.

@ETFbitcoin, sorry, I would like to send 1 merit point to everyone who posted their suggestions here, but I had only 5 merits to send, now I'm lacking 1 to send you, but as soon as I get it I'm going to merit your post as well.
3610  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Commentary and commentators in sports. on: September 01, 2022, 01:02:21 AM
I don't like commentators very much. They scream a lot and don't stop talking for a single second. I believe they push their comments too far without any necessity. You just want to appreaciate the game, but those guys keep talking about every kind of subjects meanwhile. Sometimes they talk about things that have nothing to do with the game on that moment.

And yes, they are paid a lot of money for their job, at least the ones from the main television channels. There is a famous soccer commentator here who lives in Monaco and comes to the third world country just to comment games and grab his large package of money. I don't know if he is still active, though. I heard he retired himself.
3611  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Projects and social initiatives accepting donations in bitcoin on: August 31, 2022, 08:24:04 PM
If you know legit social initiatives asking for donations in bitcoin, could you share, please? It can be to help precarious local communities to have access to improved infrastructure, education, technology or to help people with disabilities, rare syndromes and also including initiatives from members of this forum, in case there is any.

Everything aiming efforts to improve the lives of people in difficult situations, struggling to survive and to work with dignity worth to be mentioned here.

But only reliable programs which can have its legitimacy and efficiency verified.
3612  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What do you think about the school lessons of gambling addiction? on: August 31, 2022, 07:56:01 PM
Given all this, do you think it's worth organizing separate lessons in schools designed to tell children about gambling addiction? That is, to tell children about gambling addiction separately from addiction in general - alcohol and drug addiction.
I think this subject is worth to be mentioned at schools, but including all addiction themes together (drugs, alcohool, gambling). However, what really matters in this case is the kind of education and example children are having at home. Schools don't teach character, family does.

Here in our country there are specific lessons taught at public schools by police officers to guide children against drugs usage. On the other hand, I observe when those children grow up, they enter the drugs' world anyway, as those lessons back then didn't mean anything for them. That is why I say education, example and guidance must come from home at first place. Schools just consolidate what children have already been taught at home.
3613  Economy / Marketplace / Re: How did Voyager lose all that money? on: August 31, 2022, 03:46:29 PM
It seems many of the investment and lending platforms were feeding each other through loans, and once one of them failed, all the rest were dragged to the hole of bankruptcy as well. Responsible ones for the platforms didn't manage risks properly. They didn't care for investors' funds. They simply gave money away to scammers who borrowed money without giving enough collateral on counterpart to cover possible losses that ended becoming a reality. They criticize the traditional banking system and the constant print of money from thin air, although they are also adepts of putting investors' funds in currencies made of thin air (useless altcoins).
3614  Other / Off-topic / Re: Why full time to crypto why not to Skills on: August 31, 2022, 12:59:20 AM
Internet isn't the heaven for freelancers and e-commerce enthusiasts. There is a lot of competition on these fields and most people don't earn money through these methods anyway. A crypto investor isn't required to have such skills. He just need to be a responsible person who knows at least the basics of finances and how crypto works, so he can store his money safely, find potential earning opportunities and send transactions without mistakes.

Another basic necessary characteristic from a crypto adopter is to be a patient and calm person. Crypto doesn't guarantee overnight profit as many people imagine and are lured into believing. So, you have to wait the market reacts, what takes time and can't be predicted through traditional trading analyzes methods.
3615  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: "The Lower-Risk Gambling Guidelines" Is this a joke? on: August 30, 2022, 09:23:31 PM
If the person doesn't bother losing money and have gambling as his hobby he can use more than 1% of his income to gamble. Instead of going to the movies, concerts, travelling, going out, playing videogames, some people simply gamble. For a matter of comparison, we could calculate how much of their income other people spend doing these activities I mentioned earlier, so we could reach a more accurate result of how much gamblers should spend with their hobby. After all it depends on each ones' goals and purposes in life. I imagine the article is just concerned about helping people to not lose too much money, while still being possible to bet.
3616  Economy / Gambling / Re: Some Crazy Fun Facts About Casinos And Gambling You Might Not Know. on: August 30, 2022, 08:13:00 PM
8. Slot Machines Used to Actually Dispense Fruit-Flavored Chewing Gum.

Ever wonder why slot machines have little pictures of fruit on the wheels? It's because early 1880s-era slot machines would actually dispense fruit-flavored gum. The machines also dispensed tokens meant to be exchanged for drinks and cigars before pumping out actual coins in 1888.
This one is very interesting. In 1880's people had the creativity people nowadays don't. With so much technology and innovation we have nowadays it seems nobody thinks about developing and promoting a slot machine that rewards gamblers with extra 'prizes'. I think a machine like this would be a huge success if those colored shiny pictures you see on the screen of your slots session could be physically acquired by the gamblers during the game, from the machine itself. Or isn't this done in order to not call children's attention?
3617  Economy / Speculation / Re: No strength in Bitcoin in higher time frames on: August 30, 2022, 07:06:54 PM
Bitcoin has broken 20,000$ and even 19,000$ but we are still not seeing any strength in the market. Bears are in full control of the market and it seems it is impossible for the bulls to show any strength. For taking entry, i am waiting for any bullish structure which seems not to be there for now. However, i think now the bottom is very near.
I would like the bottom were very near, but I'm not so sure anymore. Before I expected the bottom was at 40,000$, then 30,000$, now 20,000$, but it seems it's also not the dip yet, because bitcoin crashed to 19,000$ already. Until a significant fluctuation happens we can expect the bottom is going to be at even lower levels of price range. The scenario this year isn't being good for people who live from crypto, and unfortunatelly it can discourage people from adopting crypto on their daily life. Not that they will set crypto aside, but the importance and presence of crypto on their lives can decrease considerably.
3618  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Play2Mint & Play2Earn Blockchain Games on: August 30, 2022, 06:58:42 PM
Ni no kuni had a play 2 earn mechanism? I thought that's a third party games that are available on Playstation and other consoles, when did this project made it into blockchain and turn play to earn? Can you please drop me the link? I will like to see if this is the same game or a new one.
It seems Ni No Kuni is a series of videogames with years of existence already. The one I mentioned is Ni No Kuni: Cross Worlds, featured by south korean Netmarble and launched about 100 days ago. The game brings NFT and play to earn features. Official website: https://ninokuni.netmarble.com/en
3619  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Play2Mint & Play2Earn Blockchain Games on: August 30, 2022, 06:51:52 AM
I'm playing mmorpg Ni No Kuni. It's a free to play game at same time it's a pay to win game. You earn in-game tokens called Territe and Asterite by ranking among the top players and by killing respective monsters. Many players are complaining the game isn't profitable and only those who heavily invest on the game are able to earn by ranking on the top, while killing monsters doesn't worth the time spent for the earned rewards.

I stiil don't have any conclusions about the game, but the lack of interest from players who want fast and easy money is a good sign. It helps filtrating the environment somehow. Moreover, bots aren't able to harm the economy, because they don't rank among top players and until they reach a high level where they could potentially have access to better drops the accounts will be spotted, banned and removed.

Besides this game, i don't know any other alternatives right now which can provide players a full gaming experience.

Thanks for this. I just googled it and instantly downloaded it for my phone because it looked so cool. So far this is the coolest game that has crypto implemented into it that i've seen. I honestly even don't care about money now, i am just playing this. Gameplay seems insanely intuitive good and rewarding to me as a gamer. All the crypto games i've tried are somewhat nonsense, bad design, buggy and laggy games that never should have been done in the first place, but this is on whole new level of gaming.

I love the fact if people indeed are complaining they don't get enough money for playing this because i would hate to fill this game with those people. Thanks again.
Glad you liked. Currently I'm level 70 there. There is another game with similar mechanisms: MIR4, that came before in 2021, although it is infested with bots which affect us directly. Moreover players are too toxic. I was high level there, but just gave up.

In Ni No Kuni things are a little better, because abusers can't do much against you. I hope you enjoy the game.
3620  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Play2Mint & Play2Earn Blockchain Games on: August 30, 2022, 12:31:05 AM
I do not know what kind of play-to-earn and play-to-mint game you are looking for but you can browse this site https://playtoearn.net/blockchaingames to look for possible games that you may get interested.  It is the list of play-to-earn games that shows the current status of the game.  It is quite helpful because almost all the games are listed there.
The list of games are really interesting, it’s good to have this kind of site though as we can see, the market is not in a good position and looking at those P2E games, they are all down which can affect the earnings that you could get from them. I still see Axie to lead the P2E industry but then again, it’s not rewarding anymore. If you really want to play P2E OP, you must be ready to invest some money and have a lesser expectation that you could get your ROIA instantly, most probably it will take time.

I already forget Axie infinity.  For me, this project is a big disappointment.  All their adjustment always creates a massive loss to the investors.  On another note, I agree that if we wanted to engage in P2E investment, we should be ready to accept losses and time-wasting activities.  Honestly, I won't suggest engaging in this kind of stuff for investment at this moment.  If OP's motive is to earn then why not buy the coin directly and trade it in the market.  It is a faster, and less time-consuming activity.
Axie has been a big deception since rewards were removed from adventure mode. With that measure, developers removed a large portion of the players from the game as well, because they don't have teams strong enough to stay competitive on PVP mode. Theoretically after doing that SLP price would rise, but what we have seen since then was an even further drop in price.
Unfortunatelly a sustainable recipe hasn't been discovered by developers yet to run their projects efficiently and to make it worth for players on long run.
