3601  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Invest in Litecoin (LTC) and Monero (XMR) on: July 13, 2021, 08:19:21 PM
If this is true, then this is probably a great time to buy these altcoins, especially since the prices of these altcoins have dropped significantly. I bought LTC for a long time in the hope that it will show its new ATH, but this did not happen. So now I continue to believe in the new growth of LTC and will probably continue to hold it in order to achieve my goal.
Actually, LTC had it's halving, just a couple of months ahead of bitcoin, and it did a good jump in the price. However, it was not sustainable, and when we entered the bear market, LTC has suffered as well. But since the price of the majority of altcoins are down since, if you wanted to hold long term a certain coin, LTC might be one of them.

For Monero, another solid crypto, but the problem is that many are afraid because of crypto regulations and many exchanges have been delisting it as well. And US are hell bent to de-anonymized it even hiring some companies to find a way to break it down. So my thoughts is that since its on the radar, it will be hard pressed to see the price goes up, in my opinion.
3602  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: July 13, 2021, 01:33:55 PM
I don't think Djokovic really cares of the number of infected people, last year he went to the US Open while most of big players like Nadal, Federer, Stan Wawrinka, etc withdrew due to COVID-19 safety concerns, moreover if you compare the situation in United Kingdom and in Japan you'll find there are way more covid19 cases in UK than in Japan : 35 000 daily new cases vs 2500

I do not think,,, I know for sure. Not only did he go to the US Open remember he even organized a tennis tournament right in the middle of the pandemic last year and the whole thing became a covid hotspot. He apologized, but clearly he did not care about it:) He also complained about quarantine measures in Aussie Open right?

So no, that will not be a concern at all.
I don't know if you have followed Djokovic off-court behaviour, but he is like a anti-vaccine person or his has a personality that is different from the norm. And this is one reason why he is not well loved, like Federer or Nadal eventhough he is the top seed and could broke the record of Federer. And yes that tournament also cemented his belief or non-belief about covid and vaccines. Anyhow, let's see if he can do the golden slams and win the Olympics.
3603  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Casimero vs Rigondeaux this August 14, 2021 on: July 13, 2021, 12:19:48 PM
~

As per the news, Casimero vs Rigondeaux is now a go after Donaire canceled his fight with the former.

The All-Filipino match-up will still be possible if both fighters will beat their respective opponents but I doubt Donaire can do it, it's one hell of a climb.

This original match-up is both beneficial to Donaire and Casimero as this means more money for Donaire while buying some time for Casimero before his shot on the unified title.
Thanks a lot, was looking forward for that all Filipino clash but it seems that we won't be seeing that anytime soon although I am pretty sure the undercard matches will feature some all Filipino bout. And you are right that it will be more worth it since the climb is grueling for both sides.
At least we still have another Filipino champ here going to fight Rigo and hopefully this fight is going to push through as schedule and no more delays. Still the exciting Casimero will be the favorite, and I wanted him to destroy Rigo in this fight. So that there will be no doubt about him facing the winner of Inoue vs Donaire. And it could be inevitable to see Filipinos unifying the belt if Casimero and Donaire wins.
3604  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Charlo vs Castano - July 17 on: July 13, 2021, 11:43:17 AM
It's better if the OP will add a poll.

In any case, I will vote for Charlo, I think he has all the advantage in this fight. Speed, power, experience as well. That 1.41 odd might trim down a bit as we approach like 2 days in the fight. But just like the bettors here, I wlll go with Charlo, but not with the ML, unless I'm going to put a lot of money in him to have at least a good return. Will wait for my favourite sportbookies to give us more betting options and more good odds.
3605  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Manny Pacquiao vs Errol Spence Jr - August 21 on: July 12, 2021, 10:46:31 PM
Did you guys saw the press conference? I like how Spence respects Manny, he looks tense and I don't like his body language, or maybe he is just showing the real him. I hope the odds would not change again because Spence didn't through trash talk to Pacquiao, I don't know, I hope he is focused on beating Pacquiao but Pacquiao was having a good time.

I don't see any unusual thing on that. And that's why I was surprised to see him doing some thrash talking in the media early (maybe to really hype the fight), but he usually respects his opponent and that was evident in the press conference.

Everyone respects Manny though, and those who didn't? they know what's in store for them as Manny will do the talking with his fist, (just like what happen to Thurman).
3606  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Lost bitcoins in a hack from bitcoin.com and bittrex.com on: July 12, 2021, 12:48:42 PM
Lost bitcoins in a hack from bitcoin.com and bittrex.com. Can I get them back? I tried to contact both of these support channels/emails but they say they can't help me. Can anybody help me? I am ready to share some of the money after you get them back to me. I am ready to share the wallet address and transaction ids over chat.
Even if you share the transaction id's, we can't do anything about it, not even bitcoin.com or bittrex.com. These criminals are good at hiding their tracks so even if you follow it through blockchain, you will get lost along the way. I do hope that it's not that big amount you lost.

And let this be a lesson not just for you but for others to really secure their accounts on an exchange, or better yet, don't put all your bitcoins in an exchange. Better yet to put in a wallet wherein you have the private keys. Your machine might be compromised already, so better to re-format it, just to make sure.
3607  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [ BOXING POLL ADDED ] JOSHUA vs USYK on: July 12, 2021, 11:25:04 AM
Here are the current odds of the fight:

Joshua @1.45
Usyk @2.95

That's only ML, there are no other betting options left. But I would tend to agree with @hilariousetc said, this is going to be close. Not going to be like a walk in the park for Joshua. Last time he did, he lost to Andy Ruiz. So he shouldn't take this fight lightly, as Usyk might pull an upset here.
3608  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2021 NBA Season on: July 12, 2021, 10:21:56 AM
Suns had a terrible game 3. CP3 and Booker didn't even get 20 points tonight. They basically sat the whole 4th quarter and rested. 2 days rest coming for everyone, look for the Suns to have a spectacular game 4.
Wish that would be the case but I guess the Bucks will not make a deficit this time for game 4 Giannis should need to have that monster performance again to tie it. If they tie this series, the Suns would be sweating I think so because Giannis will not be out until he gets a good fight with them.

Looks like the "Suns in 4" guy was just for Denver I think we may have a rival on that now. Okay, Bucks in 6 and 7 out there make some noise. LOL! By the way, I voted Bucks on the poll above.
Giannis will not score 40+ for a 3rd game in a row. CP3 and Booker will come out strong for game 4. CP3 is winning a championship this year. Suns in 5.
Actually he did have another 40+ point game for a 3rd game in a row. So he is not with some of the elites as far as number that points scored, in the like of Kobe and Jordan.

Phoenix Suns really have to fight back, but Bucks are too strong in game 3. Jrue Holiday scored 20+ points and it's enough to help Giannis in the offense. But to be honest, there are a lot of bad calls and Phoenix was the receiving end. Anyhow, still possible for the Phoenix run to win in 5 games assuming that they are going to win next game. But it will be tough as the game will be in the home court of the Bucks again.
3609  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: July 11, 2021, 11:15:13 PM
As expected a win for Novak, he is too strong.
Good game for the Italian and now he should climb up to the rank 6 if I'm not mistaken.

He is just on another level instead of all other players. They arent even close to him i think if he wants to win it all he can win it easily. This wimbeldon was probobly the easiest grandslam win in history i think he only dropped 2 sets in the entire tournament. What a player i think he can win it all this year. Anyone else thinks the same? Golden slam incoming?
Yeah, I think Golden slam is incoming, last leg is US Open, and with the way he is playing, he is unstoppable. US Open is not Nadal's cup of team, Roger will try but he has to go to a lot of young players and he is ageing. While Djokovic is somewhat hitting his prime and as long as there are these young players that are going to push him, he will be above anyone else because he has the experience and the mentality game. Nothing to be ashamed for Berrettini, now he proves that he is a all around player (clay and grass).
3610  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2021 NBA Season on: July 10, 2021, 01:43:56 AM
Giannis had such a beast game but it wasn't enough, others were just not playing that well. This is the chess game that you have to play, if you give your best player the ball all the time then he will play awesomely and get hot and have a good game and others will look like they are playing a bad game. However remember those games when Giannis couldn't play? Brook Lopez had one of the best games of his career that game, why? Because he got the greenlight, he shot more, he got hot early on.

I guess they also have to re-adjust since Giannis is already back on the floor. Lopez has a great shooting touch, in this series, we are missing his hook or offensive rebounds.

He needs to be aggressive and play like in the series against Atlanta. Dominate inside and then try to score point inside the paint.

When you do not give those players the ball at all times, it is going to be harder, so which one will coach Bud will prefer, give the ball to 3 different lesser talent (still awesome though) players so they can all get hot and not utilize Giannis to fullest? Or just give it to Giannis all the time and hope that it is enough for him to get the game all by himself?

We have two Olympic bound players in the Bucks uniform, Middleton and Holiday, so they need to proved their worth in this series against the Suns. So I'm expecting at least one of them to have a good offensive night once the game shift on their home court. Something like 30 points at least to help Giannis at the scoring end.
3611  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Manny Pacquiao vs Errol Spence Jr - August 21 on: July 10, 2021, 12:49:22 AM
@blockman - Here are the names:

- Alexis Rocha https://boxrec.com/en/proboxer/746813
- Maurice Lee https://boxrec.com/en/proboxer/648938

Both 5'10 and south paw (left handed), similar to Spence height and fighting stance.

And then we have the more experienced Ivan Redkach, listed as 5'9 but he could be taller.

So Freddy Roach comes big with his sparring partners (literally) going to push Manny specially young fighters like Rocha. Manny though is used to fight bigger guys so probably just a small adjustments on his part. But he hasn't seen or box a fighter like Spence, at his prime and he is a lefty like him.
3612  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: CMC price is different from the one declared by official website on: July 09, 2021, 12:29:43 PM
As far as I know, the price on CMC is per average price of each token, so maybe that's where the difference is. Because they are taking the price of the token in every exchange listed, so there is a big discrepancy. I would say you did a good job investigating the real price on the website.

Your next question about CMC is making a mistake, that's possible, I think historically they have posted wrong price too, (even before the Binance/CZ take over of CMC).
3613  Economy / Economics / Re: Is the Bitcoin Giant Whale worthy of our respect? on: July 09, 2021, 11:03:14 AM
Still 50/50 for me. You can't simply give the giant whales respect because at the end of the day, they are the biggest holder and accumulators of bitcoin and they can do whatever they want, change the rules to favor them. So what will happen to us average joe?

So it's either you respect or love or totally hate them. It all depends on how you see their presence in the ecosystem.
3614  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2021 NBA Season on: July 09, 2021, 10:07:20 AM
I don’t think anyone really expected Phoenix to go ‘Suns in four’ against Giannis and company. That’s what it is looking like we may see though. Giannis is clearly not at 100%. It’s too bad that he had to suffer an injury right before his chance to become one of only three players to get an MVP, DPOY & FMVP. The other two… Hakeem and Michael Jordan.
I think it started with the Suns in four slogan against the Nuggets. And then the same with the Clippers although Clippers fought back. And since they are now up 2-0, possible that a sweep in the finals against the Bucks unless Giannis and company found the blueprint to stop Booker and Chris Paul to at least win one game at home. Maybe he is close to 100% but he is needs help. Khris Middelton and Jrue Holiday came up big against the Hawks but seems can't find the rhythm against the Suns.
3615  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The most profitable gambling strategies, what are they? on: July 09, 2021, 09:05:21 AM
I know that strategy will only help us have a better chance of winning something from gambling. But in the end I dare say that no strategy will benefit us in the long term.

Of the many strategies I have used, I have never managed to win more than $200 during a playing session. I'm sure you all have different experiences with me because maybe you have a different gambling style than me. In the short term, can you tell me what strategy managed to make you win over $200 over the course of the game?

The best strategy for me is an the martingale strategy. I made the most money with just doubling up once I lost 1 bet. The good thing here is that you just need to win one time to recover all previous losses. But you need to start with very small amounts, which means that your winnings are also going to be smaller. The biggest winning I had with the martingale strategy was $90, because every time you win need to start from your small initial bet again. It is quite time consuming but makes a decent profit long term.
The problem with martingale is that you need to have huge capital to begin with, otherwise you will get busted quicker than you think. Even if you started small amounts, if you are "unlucky", this strategy won't work.

I don't have specific strategies though, probably you just have to play with the money you are willing to lose. And if you found yourself doubling or even tripling that bankroll, I guess it's time to stop and take home that winnings.
But stopping midway would always be a main problem of most gamblers or simply when you are in profit because you would be definitely thinking next that what if you would continue?
for sure you would be thinking that you can possibly earn more and the result? you would be losing all it again in the platform or casino which the story would repeat infinitely.
Martingale does really need big bankroll and doesnt guaranteed wins if you do tend to use it, doubling bet on loss? thats typically suicide if losing streaks hits your hard.
When i do play then i dont mind about strategies and just play according to my mood and preference and if i do won then its either i would stop or would continue.
That's why it spell the difference between losing and winning. If you continue and think that you are not going to run out of luck then you might end up losing in the end. And we have this house edge, sooner or later probabilities will caught up and then you start on a losing streak. That's why we need to have a lot of control. You need big bankroll in order to recoup what you have lost, otherwise, if you are in a losing streak of 5-7 then you can't recover if you don't have the capital to double up next time. Yes, probably it's better to let the game come to you and not used this supposedly "successful strategies" and just play.
3616  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: July 09, 2021, 08:09:07 AM
I'm one of those who take the risk on the Bucks ML. Put my bet on them @2.77 odds.

Not huge amount, but just enough to watch the game and have some fun along the way.
Yes, that's the good purpose of bets to add fun while watching the game. Let's go!  Grin

Yeah, lost my bet, I thought that Bucks has the chance to pull it off, and just like game 1, they are good in the first quarter alone. LOL. Giannis though play very high level, but Middleton, who is supposedly the second option for the team has missed a lot of shots. Jrue, started strong as well, but the same story.

So game 3 will be at Fiserv Forum, let's see how Bucks are going to respond. They are now in the must win situation here.

3617  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: July 08, 2021, 10:27:14 PM
I'll stick with the Bucks. This time I am going all-in with Bucks ML. Over 217.5.
I like how they played last time and it might just be a game of feeling the air of their enemy at their home. Now, time to fight back.
We know there will be adjustments and I want to see how they will fortify their defense on the outside shooting and mid-range.
That is where they are mostly attacked at Game 1, then doing it while protecting the rim against Ayton.

I'm one of those who take the risk on the Bucks ML. Put my bet on them @2.77 odds.

Not huge amount, but just enough to watch the game and have some fun along the way. I'm seeing that Giannis will come back strong in game 2 and the Bucks adjusting to the Suns fast paced game. They need to play tough defense and not allow the Suns dictate the tempo of the game. Jrue Holiday will also need to be aggressive offensively.

3619  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What kind of knowledge storage did Satoshi Nakamoto use to create Bitcoin? on: July 08, 2021, 04:28:49 PM
He drew inspirations from our sources, you can clearly see it from the references in the whitepaper. So it's not revolutionary at all, it's just he pieces it all together, the mistakes from the past and then weave it all together and created BTC.

Again, we don't need to exaggerate and have this kind of superlatives when defining bitcoin. It contains flaws as well, and it is not perfect but any means. You can read it here: Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures.
3620  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: July 08, 2021, 03:43:03 PM
I can hardly believe it, but Federer was now clearly defeated in 3 sets (The last set is very suspect, injury?)
I watched whole 3rd set and I don't think there was injury involved. Hurkacz played very well after wining that 2nd set, he was full of confidence and he hit some very good shots. Federer was just the opposite, he played mediocre and gave away few cheap points but that is it.

I would feel bad if this was his last match. Not nice to go away with 6:0, better to win some small ATP 250 in Basel or something like that and then call it quits.

Yes,,, I think we have to give it to Hurkacz. I maybe feel Federer will be disappointed in the last set and for sure I hope he plays one more GS,,, but maybe to gain more fitness and confidence in ATP as you say. This would be a terrible way to end his GS career, sad for a lot of us who watched him in his glory days.
I think this is not the end of his career, although we know that he is not getting any younger, thus his body is also deteriorating, he might continue to go and choose tournaments still in the calendar and continue his career until he can no longer play.

We should give credit to Hurkacz, he really played very well from the second set and the 3rd to give Federer his worst beating in a Wimbledon quarter final. Odds are against him though against Berrettini.
