3601  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: bitcoin continues the positive trend today, is the altcoin market in trouble? on: November 15, 2020, 09:30:34 PM
If you want to sell your altcoins and you are confident that it is going nowhere, sell it and buy bitcoin as it's dumped a bit as I'm checking the price. But if you are too confident that your altcoins will recover somehow even if bitcoin is on the trend, then don't sell it but don't waste the chance of buying bitcoin.

There is still the comparison that whether bitcoin goes up, the altcoins market will be pushed together afterward. That comparison is popular from the 2017 ATH.

3603  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2021 NBA Season on: November 14, 2020, 09:26:55 PM
While everyone is discussing the trade and rumors, what can you even say with this another rumor that just came out?

Rumor: Phoenix Suns looking to make a major change at point guard position
The Phoenix Suns appear to be eyeing a major change in the backcourt alongside Devin Booker. Oklahoma City Thunder’s Chris Paul has already been linked, but could top options like Houston Rockets’ Russell Westbrook or Toronto Raptors’ Fred VanVleet be attainable this NBA offseason?
3604  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you really think crypto stand a chance agaisnt the financial system on: November 14, 2020, 08:53:26 PM
You've got points with what you've said.

But it isn't only about the hype. There's real-money flowing in crypto and the banks can't even ignore it. In terms of investment, the risk is much better taking in crypto. The talks about kicking the financial system were years ago until we start to see the institutions started to adopt it as well and a lot of changes happened and in favor of us.

It's a threat somehow that their customers will be withdrawing their money and having it in crypto as we're also our own bank. But what I see is they will eventually join.
3605  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Did anyone had idea to create such stablecoin? on: November 14, 2020, 08:13:43 PM
I think I have understood the idea of what you're telling us. So if there's inflation, the coin has to adjust according to how much or what percentage the inflation for that same day or span of time.

I don't think that developers would love to adjust the quantity of that token to defeat inflation, they need a budget, to sum up, the inflation and credit to the existing users or if ever the opposite happens.

What we get is a 1:1 ratio.
3606  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The last time we saw 16K on Bitcoin price on: November 14, 2020, 07:42:45 PM
That comparison of why many portfolios are bleeding. They focus on altcoins but don't give importance to what bitcoin can do with their portfolios in times like this. Good prices way back then but looking at it today, it's almost unlikely.

Chainlink was the one that had a good performance for this year. But if we're looking to the start of this year, there were a lot of altcoins that are also doing good just like Ethereum.

Visit this thread[1] which is asking the same question about how to earn crypto for beginners. You will learn a lot of things from it.

3608  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to earn If im beginner on: November 13, 2020, 11:45:08 PM
I only see a rant with that post of OP. You are asking how the money will come into your bitcoin wallet? this is a general question that how you shall earn money in this world, the bitcoin realm, and also in the real world.

There's no other way to get money if you don't have a job. If you are jobless, find one and get to earn your salary. That's simply how it is, no need to rant but you need to start with yourself and avoid ranting as if the world is cruel to you. There are plenty of unfortunate people that are even in a worse situation.

That's my point exactly. The best way to earn consistent income in the crypto space is to have a job which you get paid in bitcoin or you get skilled up and offer your services and get paid in BTC too. The first step as a beginner is to put in the work and the rewards would come afterwards. Patronizing Faucets, HYIPs  won't cut it either.
There's security in having a job and then going with the crypto market buying cryptos you like but always put bitcoin first.

Rant such as this only shows that he wants to have money by doing nothing and just accepting it as if there will be a good samaritan dropping by with a lot of money having pity on him. There's no even willingness with what he says.
3609  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Be very cautious with your alts this period, you either sell early or hold. on: November 13, 2020, 11:18:32 PM
I sell if I'm in profit and there's nothing wrong selling earlier if you're in +%.

And I hold if the coin that I've bought is still bleeding. Yes, there's nothing wrong to sell and hold until you see there's profit. That's the basic strategy that I do if the coin I hold and I believe is still bleeding and I'm in the lose, no problem of holding it.

I only lose if I sell with loss.

This make little sense to me. What matters is what you believe in the future for the project. If you are on plus or minus doesn't really matter.

I would rather say trend is your friend, unfortunately in both ways. Cut bad coins that are going down and find better projects with a bright future. Don't be afraid to cut losses.
I don't buy bad coins and I know what I buy so if I believe in something, I knew that there's in store for it. Thanks for the tip about cutting losses, I do that if necessary but most of the time I don't.

Just like when Ethereum was on the plunge, I did buy it at the cheapest price. I don't just buy random coins in the market because I know that trend is a factor that will quickly change the setting and fate of a project.

3611  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Crypto Markets Correct Resulting to DeFi Tokens Bleed Out on: November 13, 2020, 10:26:39 PM
Due to the huge increase in bitcoin, of course many investors are focused on bitcoin and momentarily leave the defi project. I think the defi isn't over yet, maybe the junk project will go away. Right now there are a lot of good defi projects but they are quite difficult to find investors right now because of the rise in bitcoin.
Yes, that's what's happening lately.

Money from the Defi projects is going out and being sold for bitcoin. And those investors are wise because they don't want to be left by the train. We can say that it's not yet over for defi.

Because once these investors are all together and start selling, money probably will come back to defi.

We have no idea where they can invest their money but most likely to real estate properties. It is the first thing that they could invest with those huge deals. In sports, not only to boxing, an athlete can get the sponsorship of their lifetime.

Lifetime deals from a brand which can turn their life at its finest by just signing a deal. But it's not about how huge the deals they get but, it's about how they will use the money that they've earned to make more money.

Are you sure? I always think that these famous sports people in USA especially tend to just splurge most of their money. Even if they buy real estate they seem to buy huge mansions that require big upkeep, and eventually have to sell it on just to pay their debts;)

First thing to do if you win a lot of money: appoint a fund manager who keeps your money even from you!
Not bad to hire a fund manager but it's just going to be an additional expense. What's better for them is to gain financial education. Enrolling and spending on it which can be categorized as an investment for their money handling matters.

That is right. If they can invest in the right investment, I am sure they will make more money. We don't have to search for what investment they use because I don't think they will tell us about it. Instead of searching for their investment, it is better to search for the right investment for ourselves to make money. Although the profit will not be too bigger than them, we can make money, which is important for us.
Some could be vocal and open telling it to the public especially if they need exposure and to attract customers. That's publicity for them if there will be interviews like if they have invested in a business.
3614  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Extreme greed on the market on: November 12, 2020, 10:18:42 PM
It's not an actual thought of the market but it's helpful if you want to know what does the community thinks at the current time.

If the majority starts to show greediness, you can have a contingency plan for your trades. Because when everybody starts to be greedy, that will create fear but on the other hand, bitcoin breached $16k despite what the index showed.

I only look for that index but never really used it in my trading.
If I am trading a specific coin, I look for the development progress and the team's capability to realize their objectives.
However, this index may be vital to some regular traders especially with bitcoin or other top alts.
Sometimes, we don't know where the greed index is coming from as it is a combination of various factors.
Every trader has their own strategy. It's just another resource for them to rely on if they think it's going to help them be productive and do better with their trades. Somehow it's helpful if you're looking at the feelings of everyone in general.

Even the other markets have this type of index. Likewise, I also look at it but it's up to you if you will use it as a reference or not. It is a reference that you may use anytime at your will and also not if you don't like what it shows.
3615  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Crypto is not for the weak on: November 12, 2020, 09:36:53 PM
"It is not for the weak."

Those words are true. Newbies who come to seek the opinion of other cryptocurrency enthusiasts and investors and only longing to hear what they want to hear such as easy profit and quick money.

But if they still don't understand that the crypto investments are not for the weak heart, they can't cultivate and stay in this market for long. Swings, plunge, corrections, pumps, dumps, or any term that we use. It's not for the weak-hearted investors.

Learning is part of investing and if a "weak" hearted investor starts to understand the whole thing, he'll eventually become strong in the process.
3616  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: 2020... Altseason? on: November 12, 2020, 08:52:10 PM
Is the leveling (and steadying) of Bitcoin a sure sign that an alt season is about to come?

Does anyone think there's anything to worry about with regards to growth being too fast and another potential "bubble" situation?
I don't think that this is a bubble.

If this is a bubble then sure it's about to pop soon. But what we see is a natural growth of bitcoin, looking at where it came from and how much the price by that time. We can conclude that this is an actual growth which is expected.

Alt season for this year? we don't know when it will start. The important thing for us to see is that bitcoin is pumping again and which is likely to start the trend for alts soon but without any idea when.
3617  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Extreme greed on the market on: November 12, 2020, 08:20:13 PM
I don't use that index but I can say that it's actually saying the real thing that most of the people are greedy because of what we're seeing. Just like you, that's also my observation.

It's an helpful index if you're too conservative with your trades. But as a long time holder, this doesn't affect my decision making.
Checking the fear and greed index, it show 7 factors that are considered to determine the movement of the index; social media, dominance, Volatility, market momentum and volume, surveys and trend. The parameters are with different percentage and they sum-up together to give the direction of movement of the index on greed and fear of traders in the bitcoin market.

3619  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If bitcoin will die then crypto market will die confirm! on: November 11, 2020, 09:05:25 AM
Altcoins = cannot stand alone as cryptocurrency market

I don't agree with this at all! The altcoin market, i.e., every currency that isn't bitcoin, is significant and strong and able to stand on its own. This statement may have been true 6+ years ago, but not today.
The combination of all altcoins and its market cap is huge. But taking into example that bitcoin's gone and all of them have remained as the market.

There will be a division for most investors and market cap for each of those altcoins will be going out. We will never know what's going to be seen for the next years. Too much of altcoins we have and investors are becoming good as they invest and might choose the best of them all including bitcoin and the few good altcoins.
3620  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If bitcoin will die then crypto market will die confirm! on: November 11, 2020, 07:51:27 AM
IMHO
Bitcoin = cryptocurrency market

Bitcoin and altcoins = cryptocurrency market

Altcoins = cannot stand alone as cryptocurrency market

The comprehension about bitcoin's death is still unknown. As long as it's standing and living, it's not going to die. It's just getting started and usage of it is expanding and the adoption is increasing. It's hard to consider this time that it will be dead soon.

If there are still people telling that, they don't own it.
