3601  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Inoue vs Donaire II discussion on: August 26, 2021, 11:37:28 AM
Either Inoue vs Casimero or Casimero vs. Donaire is good. But I am honestly more excited to see Casimero vs Inoue. That would be more explosive. I'd definitely watch that fight and be entertained no matter who turns out the winner.

I'd rather see Donaire vs Casimero first. I like to see Casimero having another match first before entering the final stage which is dealing against Naoya Inoue. We didn't see Casimero at 100% during the fight with Rigo as the latter is always on defense and running mode. And for Donaire, he's no chance for a rematch against Inoue if he won't pass Casimero first to finished the unsettled business.

There will be more good impressions and possibly more recognition if Casimero will pass Donaire first. Winning against Donaire will create a bigger market too for Casimero.
Bottom line, the next match should be just between these 3. If Arum will spoil it and find other boxers instead, which I found there's a chance, we won't know.

Casimero Vs Donaire would be best. Its unification and the first time in the history of Philippine boxing that there will be Pinoy vs Pinoy unifying a world title. Donaire should just forget about that trash talk, it's part of the game now in boxing.

Casimero receives a big approval from a lot of boxing analysts. talagang mag ibubuga ito. among the top fighters in the Philippines, he stands out.

We like to see that fight happen but the camp of Donaire cancelled the fight, so that dream is already over. Now, Casimero after his win against Rigo, he is targeting Inoue and probably if he is lucky and upset the monster, he could go up and challenge a champion in the next division.

The last update we had is when Inoue said he would like to arrange the fight to happen this year, after that, there's no update anymore. About Donaire, there's also no update on his fight against Inoue, I think they are done this year as they all won their last fight, so maybe they'll rest and have the fight by next year.
3602  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Inoue vs Casimero Bantamweight Unification Fight on: August 26, 2021, 10:27:13 AM
So are there concrete news coming up with this potential match? Or are they still exchanging tirades here? Promoters sometimes are the bottleneck here as they negotiate the purses of their respective fighters. But it is good that they are gaining interest from the boxing fans. The more noise, the better for their ticket sales. Curious what odds we will get from here. But I am guessing, they will favor Inoue on this bout.
Most of those are news and there's no accurate one or official which will go for the fight. Maybe there is an ongoing negotiations for them and they're not putting that on the news until it's finalized.
The noisier the better and it's making hype so that many curious fans will buy the fight.

It's not official yet because they have not signed a contract yet, all we can do now is just to wait that what Inoue had said will be realized.

https://www.boxingscene.com/inoue-time-comes-ill-remind-casimero-ring-everything-he-say-about-me--158506

Let us be optimistic as this is not only between the two of them, this is the fight that every fan would see.
Casimero has thrown a lot of insults on Inoue, I think it's time that Inoue will take it seriously and that is by signing the fight contract.
Casimero is really taunting and hoping what he says would be done once they step into the ring. If I were to Inoue he should be dealing with this with him that instant or just leave what Casimero is saying, the fans are eager to see what is his decision. This will take ages because his decision is the one being waited but he's not taking the actions necessary yet, the excitement shouldn't be wasted.
That's why Casimero does not stop because Inoue does not give him a chance to fight, I mean a real chance because talking in media is cheap if he does not make action to make this fight happen in real life. Casimero told the world that he is willing to fight Inoue in any venue, so that's a big advantage on Inoue sa he can choose a venue like his country so he can let his fans watch him beat Casimero.
3603  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin @ $50k on: August 26, 2021, 09:29:04 AM
$50K becomes quite a strong resistance and not easy to pass, there will be several trial stages to break it then $50k becomes a strong line of support for Bitcoin.
Consolidation like this will probably last for a few weeks. If we look at the Bitcoin trading volume on Binance, the trading volume is still stable in the range of $2-$2.5 Billion Dollars, Usually if the pump continues the trading volume increases rapidly.
it looks like what you said is correct, bitcoin is still difficult to get past this crucial figure at $50K, if it is missed it is only temporary and will go down again, but if that momentum can be passed then there will be a fairly high spike from bitcoin which will clearly try to get past ATH their last and form a renewable ATH which might be even better. indeed it seems that the momentum has not been seen and we are waiting when we enter Q4 then there we will see the movement is real.

It looks like a trap, bitcoin is down now and only trading at almost $47k. I am not sure if it will still bounce back soon but it could be a sign that the bullish movement we saw could possibly be a trap only. We are used to seeing a green market in the past few days but we are seeing some red market, do we still hold or convert it to a stable coin temporarily?
3604  Economy / Speculation / Re: Are you bullish or bearish this year? on: August 26, 2021, 08:40:16 AM
With the roller-coaster price movement this year, I like to know if what you think about this year's market condition overall.

Are you still bullish despite the huge dump from ATH, or do you think the market will be bearish throughout?

Share your thoughts and what's your basis, it will help everyone to decide.
Well this roller coaster rides for the market helps us understand how healthy the market is and also brings profit to many of us , though of course losses to some also comes with it.

I am for bullish not only this year but for the whole season from last year until 2022 .

i don't know but i felt very positive in that span of time ,  or maybe i was so frustrated when the dump happen early 2020.

Forget about the dump as we are in the bullish market now, dump or long correction is normal in the space and we will probably witness more of that in the future but that would not stop crypto from growing its market. If we are smart, we invest at the right timing and that is always buying during the dip.
3605  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What do you think about LINA coin? on: August 25, 2021, 09:57:50 PM
Never heard of this project before, but as per its record https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/lina/. this is an old coin that has not pump yet or no improvement in terms of price.

based on the record, it started trading in 2018 with $0.03 price, and now only valued at $0.004, so there's a major dump and I don't know if it's an attractive coin, unless they are cooking something big that could potentially gain the attention of the investors.
3606  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Lopez vs Kambosos - Aug 14 on: August 25, 2021, 09:42:18 PM

is he afraid that he might lose in their second fight?

Did he said he doesn't want a rematch anymore?

I read some of the news that there's a possible rematch,

https://www.badlefthook.com/2021/6/27/22552396/teofimo-lopez-vs-vasiliy-lomachenko-rematch-looking-likely-boxing-news-2021

can you confirm?

I think a rematch is good for boxing as Loma has won his last fight and proved that he is still here, when it's good for boxing, it should be good for both boxers as they will certainly make some good money.

Ohh this must be a piece of good news for Loma and to all his fans as he might reclaim his belts. A rematch is what hardcore boxing fans wanted to see because of the manner Lopez won it, not so impressive.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CgXki2CCjI0

Above is a youtube video and there you can see the reasons why he don't want to give Loma a rematch.

Wonder why Bob Arum didn't push a rematch as this would be huge in terms of income.

Arum is a bad promoter because he knows that if Lopez will lose, his income will stop. I guess for a champion like Loma, if there's a challenger, it should be stated in the contract that the champion is allowed to challenge for a rematch at his discretion, that is fair IMO so the champion is given an opportunity to reclaim his belt.

With that said, I think I appreciate Ugas more as even if he is the champion and beat the legend, he respect Pacquioa and even offered him a rematch.
3607  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Inoue vs Donaire II discussion on: August 25, 2021, 09:24:02 PM
Donaire is a counter puncher just like Guillermo Rigondeaux so that would be two successive boring fights for Casimero

I disagree with you. I think you didn't watch Donaire vs Inoue where the former engage in close combat. Donaire is definitely not a boring opponent for Casimero. You guys become overwhelmed with Casimero vs Rigo where we don't even see a fight. How can you conclude that Donaire is boring because of that? Do you think Donaire will run? lol.

Why would Donaire run? It's boxing. Rigo also didn't run. Was there an exciting exchange of heavy blows? There was none. But I think Donaire is a lot more exciting than Rigo. But with a counter puncher, I think Casimero would remain to be cautious. There were moments in Rigo vs Casimero fight when Rigo would choose to just stay in front of Casimero but in those moments Casimero would end up not throwing a lot of punches.

I saw the fight of Donaire vs Inoue. Inoue is not Casimero. Inoue is a lot more aggressive. And that's probably the reason why Donaire connected some sharp counter punches, which Donaire wasn't able to capitalize on given that he's not a volume puncher and cannot offer long follow up combinations that could have put Inoue down.

Inoue is just so strong for an aging Donaire, he moves a lot and he is aggressive as well. Donaire had hit Inoue with some clean shots as well, but the monster is still standing despite having a cut near in his eye.  Donaire vs Inoue or Casimero vs Inoue, any of this would already make the fans so happy and they will forget a boring fight of Casimero against Rigo.

3609  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: {Boxing} Manny Pacquiao vs Yordenis Ugas on: August 24, 2021, 09:52:30 PM
~snip~
Lets just accept and move on because this is sports. You neither win or lose or draw.
^ A perfect explanation and this is what I have said before on this thread, Manny Pacquiao will have a chance that will probably loss and now it has happened. Even though you are in the underdog's favor there is still possible that you will be able to win the match. However, I also appreciated Ugas's attitude, he really respects World Boxing Champion Manny Pacquaio, after the fight he thanks Manny for the opportunity that he said. That should be the world of sports games.
We saw the respect from Ugas, that's why he wins because he is humble.
What we saw is just like a David vs Goliath fight because of the size difference which is very obvious,  and we saw how Goliath beat our David, but that's alright, it is what it is, one fighter wins, the other loses.

Nevertheless, do you think this is the last fight of Manny?

In his statement, he considers retiring but it's not final yet, so as long as there's no formal announcement from him about retiring, then we can assume that we will still see him fight again.
3610  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Inoue vs Donaire II discussion on: August 24, 2021, 09:22:43 PM

We can speculate but not able to make a final decision.

There's a reason to speculate because even Inoue himself announced that he wants to accept the challenge and fight Casimero this year. It's gonna be the biggest fight in the bantam weight division and the trash talk will be over once the fight is signed, so let's wait for that.

No, the announcement of Inoue was on the fight between Casimero, there's also speculation regarding the Inoue vs Donaire 2 because people thought that it's the reason why the fight is canceled.

Actually, Casimero looks to be the victim here as Inoue and Donaire both cancelled their fights against Casimero and I don't think it's because of his trash talk or disrespect because they already know Casimero's antics before they agree to fight him.

I thought we have the Inoue vs Casimero discussion here also, although there's a separate thread for that we can't prevent people from discussing or speculating on the possible Casimer vs Inoue now because it's the latest news in the boxing world.

Whatever matches we will see, I'm sure no more running as these 3 (Casimero, Inoue, and Donaire) have the style that they want to go toe to toe against any opponent.
3611  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Lopez vs Kambosos - Aug 14 on: August 24, 2021, 08:37:35 PM
Finally, there's a final date of this fight again, I almost forget this fight because of the postponement, but definitely, this fight is worth to watch and let's see if Lopez would be able to defend his title after that stellar win against Lomachenko.

Are the betting odds still up?

3613  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: {Boxing} Manny Pacquiao vs Yordenis Ugas on: August 23, 2021, 07:57:28 PM
He has an excuse in that fight, so probably if he still chooses to fight again, another excuse would not be accepted again if he gets defeated. He said his legs were tight during the fight that's why he can't move his usual way, we actually did not see the move that we saw during his fight against Thurman, so let's give him the benefit of the doubt, one more fight and if he lose, then it's over.
On the eve of the match between Manny Pacquaio and Errol Spence Jr, Pacquaio said the reason he returned to boxing was because he wanted to have a really clean fight without any drama, but in the end the match was canceled due to Spence injury.
But it seems that Pacquaio reasoning changed after ugas became Spence substitute opponent, because it was clear that pacquaio wanted to reclaim the belt that was revoked by the world boxing federation and give it to ugas for free at the time , i think in that match pacquaio was too eager to beat ugas with a knockout defeat and it drains he stamina . we all know the current pacquaio is not the pacquaio of three years ago who is able to move fast and aggressively, I think his legs are starting to weaken and slow down because of the age factor.

We saw him slowed down in that fight, and he was not able to hit Ugas because he had a problem moving his feet. I don't know, maybe he overtrained or maybe you are right that he was aiming for the KO that drained his energy in the early rounds.
3614  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Inoue vs Donaire II discussion on: August 23, 2021, 07:34:15 PM
All the paper signing is always important to make sure that the fight will proceed..

Until that would happen, we will see more speculation about the fight and we have been speculating it for a year already since the last fight was canceled. Both Inoue and Casimero showed an impressive win, except for the last fight of Casimero but he could have got a good win if there was no running.  Smiley

We were supposed to see a big fight if only Donaire did not cancel the fight against Casimero, now we are waiting for which fight will happen first, will the rematch or the other one?
3615  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Casimero vs Rigondeaux this August 14, 2021 on: August 22, 2021, 02:21:49 PM
The discussion is now getting out of hand. It's now turning into another topic.

Since the fight was already over for about a week now, it's time now to close the thread. There are other threads related to some discussion here where we can continue the discussion.

@Japinat

Thanks for the reminder, yes, we have had enough conversation about the topic, and with that said, this thread is now locked.

Everyone, thank you for joining the discussion, may we see the next fight of Casimero soon and Rigo will retire soon as well.  Grin
3616  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: {Boxing} Manny Pacquiao vs Yordenis Ugas on: August 22, 2021, 02:04:57 PM
As this may be his last boxing match which i hope, the pacman is still going to be in the Category of the Greatest of All time fighters for me. He has had a great run.
This should be the last fight of Manny Pacquiao as there is nothing to prove and there is no point in fighting at the age of 43 and i thought Yordenis Ugas was the right opponent because i never gave him a chance against Errol Spence Jr even though i wanted Manny to win as a fan and watching him fight as long as i remember.

Now it is time he can focus full time in politics and hopefully he will stand in the upcoming elections.

He did not make an official statement yet about his retirement but his speech in the post-fight interview seemed to show that he is done in boxing.
The exact words he said after the fight.

@bisdak40, maybe you can activate the thread [Boxing] Inoue vs Casimero Bantamweight Unification Fight again, this fight is probably on already, so to not derail this thread, we can do the discussions on the right thread.

here's your thread created last Jan 2020 https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5220020.0

sending you a PM as well, in case you'll not read this one.
3618  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: AND YET ANOTHER FALL; A dip or A dump. on: August 19, 2021, 09:19:38 PM
Well, look at the market now, after the fall the market has recovered again.

I'm seeing some healthy rise today, bitcoin is up almost 5% and major altcoins such as XRP, Cardano, and BNB had some decent increase as well.
In conclusion, we can't just react right away as it's normal to see these pump and dump in a highly volatile market.
3619  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: DENT BACK TO THE TOP 100 COIN!!! on: August 19, 2021, 08:47:16 PM
The current trend is strong for altcoins, some have managed to escape bitcoin's corrective pull.  Although not too strong yet, it is creating euphoria for the whole market after correcting from bitcoin.  Dent had a double for the week at $0.004 - $0.008, while Sol also hit a new ATH.  The NFT hype remains upbeat.  This is the moment when altcoin push becomes promising
many old altcoins are surging at this point whose projects have been idle for several years, and their tokens are reviving like an insider's game. or their community got bigger to revive at the right time in the bull run...?the crypto world this year is very extraordinary, from the previous one
Many but majority of the old coins had already died a long time ago, DENT is one of the old coins that has survived until now, and not only survive, it also has made investors profitable as it dips at a very low price, giving them the opportunity to buy at that price. With the market recovery, slowly coins are bullish again, I would not be surprised if DENT would be one of the best performers this year.

KAT is not as valuable player as everyone thinks, he is definitely not a scrub neither but he is not as valuable as people make it out to be.

According to his stats, I think he is really valuable.
https://www.basketball-reference.com/players/t/townska01.html

you can barely see a big man who had that kind of stats, if you'll ask me to rank the best Center in the league now, I'll definitely put KAT in the top 3.
Maybe people just have a different opinion,  but KAT would not become one of the highest-paid players now if he does not have the skills.
