3601  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BTC on other chains is not BTC on: June 14, 2022, 02:57:22 AM
I have never hold any satoshi of WBTC so I would like to ask: Are the withdrawal fees for WBTC more competitive than BTC in general?
If we're talking about the Ethereum network, then no. On the other hand, with BNB/Solana and basically anything that's not Ethereum, then yes it's cheaper.

If I ever get paid with some WBTC for any reason, I'd swap it whenever I have the chance, to hold the real thing. Just my opinion.
You and literally everyone here.
3602  Other / Meta / Re: What we can do to get ride of alt farmers? on: June 13, 2022, 03:21:25 PM
A lot of them just spam threads of generic research like not giving up and do research and yadda yadda in the hopes of getting at least 1 merit. Just be significantly stricter if you see accounts that has a very low postcount:merit ratio.
3603  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Bitstamp Frozen account on: June 13, 2022, 03:06:52 PM
PX-Z

So bassacly I have lost alle bitcoins on my bitstamp account because I cannot document how I got the bitcoin? I cannot even rember how I got them.

Contact them and ask for some other way. It's not like you have any other choice unless you just want to immediately give up the 7 BTC.
3604  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BTC on other chains is not BTC on: June 13, 2022, 02:36:44 PM
That ain't even that much of a controversial opinion; I'm pretty sure almost everyone here will agree.

While I wouldn't hold wrapped BTC (wBTC) though, they can be pretty handy if you're a trader. For moving funds from exchange to exchange, and for doing DEX swaps.
3605  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Bitstamp Frozen account on: June 13, 2022, 02:14:34 PM
Lol that's going to be tough. Try asking them other ways of verifying ownership? Assuming your account was already KYC-ed. If not, you're probably going to need to KYC.

3606  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Don't sell your precious BTC to the whales! on: June 13, 2022, 10:02:13 AM
In times like this, we're going to see who force capitulates simply because they overly allocated to bitcoin/crypto; with not much fiat to buy (or with no income to use for DCA-ing).

3607  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: A season for stop loss on: June 13, 2022, 02:51:59 AM
Or simply stop trading so that you will save yourself on stressful days like this rather than forcing yourself to trade and set a stop loss which will highly be hit due to huge wicks of crypto volatility. Make sure to apply properly stop loss and not use it to slowly decrease your asset by setting it on the range which the price could reach up and down. The current market is very unstable and there's clear sign of bearish movement despite some minor relief. I believe we can experience relief in the next few days but that doesn't mean we should trade right now to get that small chance of profit. I preferred to watch and wait rather than risk trading right now.

While I agree with you — because trading is definitely not for everyone, we're in the Trading Discussion section. Tongue

But yea, money is made in times like this if you know what you're doing. I made a killing shorting the insolvent Celsius. https://twitter.com/CelsiusNetwork/status/1536169010877739009
3608  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Start crypto earning on: June 13, 2022, 02:42:52 AM
If you're asking how to make money in crypto, you're not ready for crypto. Because if you understand crypto, you wouldn't be asking this. Use your 1000 USD to make money in other ways instead, on methods that you understand far more.
3609  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Can you predict the caption on: June 13, 2022, 02:18:22 AM
We could get funny captions like "Bitcoin Finally crashed", or something even more terrifying like "Investors losses their assets to Bitcoin despite Government warns".

Lol that's nothing. If anything, I highly expect to see "Bitcoin is finally dead" news headlines and takes from "journalists".  Once again adding to the endless list of Bitcoin obituaries.

3610  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Has the Coinbase AMM smart trading system launched yet? on: June 13, 2022, 01:54:58 AM
*snip*

This Coinbase feature definitely exist, but it's far different from OP's description of "smart trading system in coinbase with stable profits". I don't think there's anywhere on Coinbase's website that describers their Earn schemes as a "smart trading system", so I'm going to bet OP was almost duped by a scam.
3611  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: The reason why the bounty section is the worst and most spamming board on: June 13, 2022, 01:49:31 AM
In other news, water is wet.

Honestly idk why people still do altcoin bounties. I'd honestly just rather work at McDonalds; far far more worth the money and the experience(social skills?). And I actually get to have a good excuse to leave the house!
3612  Economy / Economics / Re: How can I survive in a place where BTC is restricted? on: June 12, 2022, 02:11:51 PM
You can still use it — mostly just not as a currency, but for holding. You just need to hold extra quietly, and make sure you don't over-allocate so you wouldn't be forced to sell some if you needed the money.

As for buying, I'd try to figure out a method. One way on the top of my head (outside of doing P2P) is to use your local currency to buy game items(CSGO, RuneScape, etc), then sell the game items for bitcoin.

^ You're going to pay an extra premium for that buying method, but if you're extra paranoid then it's a decent method imo.
3613  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: NFT Trading and way forward on: June 12, 2022, 01:28:07 PM
In such cases, what is your suggestion to get these NFTs sold as fast as possible?

Pretty simple — set the price offer 5-10% below the floor price; or sometimes even lower depending on how much people are trying to get out at the same time. In the first place you should expect these things to sell a bit longer, because they're non-fungible tokens.
3614  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is there any other alternative? on: June 12, 2022, 10:13:45 AM
Perhaps he want to save his work, so he prefer to post. He can still view his work through draft, but draft is limited for 100 items and 7 days only.
What ETFbitcoin said. There's like a dozen other ways on how you can save your work.

I wanted to create the thread so that whenever I want to try out something new like this help I found: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=help;page=post#bbcref

And don't forget that I'm still a newbie and still have a lot to learn. Everyone has their own effective way of learning as for me I believe in putting to test what one is learning or has learnt
You're free to test things out without posting the thread lol. Like I said, try using the Preview button. It literally solves what you want to do without posting the thread. It doesn't limit you at all.

3615  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is there any other alternative? on: June 12, 2022, 09:04:16 AM
What's wrong with using the 'Preview' button beside the 'Post' button? The thread/post doesn't need to be live for you to see what it looks like.
3616  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What's been your greatest challenge on BTT ? on: June 12, 2022, 07:41:06 AM
While this is more noticeable on bitcointalk due obvious reason (being able to make money) I noticed similar behavior in many other forums. After some time people start to substituting real life accomplishments with the virtual ones so bitcointalk is not an exception really.

Forums like what? I'm a heavy forum addict and the only other forum that I could think of that people take too seriously is probably BlackHatWorld (because posters promote their online service/business through signatures as well).
3617  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What are the comparative advantage of Bitcoin over other blockchains? on: June 12, 2022, 04:48:02 AM
I don't think something like the ability to execute smart contracts is necessarily a bad thing.

Yep. More functionality means more opportunities for growth, but at the same time increased chances of things that can go wrong. In the end it's pretty neutral and will totally depend on the person if he/she's allocating for higher potential gains vs lower but safer gains.
3618  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Has the Coinbase AMM smart trading system launched yet? on: June 12, 2022, 03:58:32 AM
Recently joined a smart trading system in coinbase with stable profits, using tokens Tether, investment, which is profitable?

Just based on your description, I don't even need to open Google.com to know that what you're describing is a straight-off scam. A heavily regulated company in the heart of regulation-land(the United States) isn't going to start such a scheme. Knowing that the government would want control, a non-custodial wallet is probably the farthest Coinbase can go as to releasing a "non-controlling" product.
3619  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What's been your greatest challenge on BTT ? on: June 12, 2022, 03:09:52 AM
Every second post on this board is in its core about farming merit and joining a sig campaign. It's being thinly veiled as "learning about Bitcoin", "being a good poster" etc., but the real motivation behind them is crystal clear.

It's just the reality of this forum that people join it for bounties and sig campaigns, because they have heard about their friends or someone on the Internet earning coins here. And the only way to change it is to ban paid campaigns, which theymos is not inclined to do for now.

And I'm definitely not against it. I mean, obviously even I myself am in a signature campaign. It's just that I don't think people should be focusing too much on Bitcointalk as a main source of income.

1. Platforms/projects can just stop advertising on Bitcointalk through campaigns.
2. Bear markets can wreck how much people are earning.
3. At some point people can lose interest on Bitcoin (and Bitcointalk).

tl;dr things can go wrong, and posting on Bitcointalk doesn't help you much experience-wise when talking about looking for a job; unless you end up becoming a great writer or something.
3620  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin will Hit over 700% or $250k is this possible? on: June 12, 2022, 02:54:12 AM
+1 because there's currently a lot of disruptions in the world causing patterns to be broken or delayed etc.

Precisely! In the last cycles we didn't have a freakin pandemic and a crapload of cash being printed by the federal reserve. I wouldn't be surprised if the s2f didn't break if we didn't have this global economic fiasco. But yea, some global event messing everything up is pretty inevitable.
