3601  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: People hate Bitcoins? on: September 18, 2016, 06:36:37 PM
I personally haven't found this statement to be correct at all. I've discovered many misinformed and uneducated people in regards to the subject matter, but after explaining to them, undoubtedly almost all of them see the potential and merits, even if they will never get involved.
Just from my own angle also. Have seen people's reaction on twitter and facebook campaign to some altcoins on my page. Some religious folks think it's one of those internet fraud. Do I really have to to explain to them until am rich enough to say few words that will mean much. I don't blame them anyways, a lazy man cant understand and keep up the race with the increase knowledge on bitcoin. Just the knowledge of improved work of technology and how legal the tendency is could help those who hate bitcoin.
3602  Other / Meta / Re: how do I Improving the quality of post? on: September 18, 2016, 03:38:42 PM
Can someone help out on How do I improve the quality of my post? Not only about participating but being engaged. It is good to know that one can check the quality of his post not only how active he was. If u can tell me, how do improve it.

Let me preface this post by saying that this is a stupid thread. People with common sense are capable of determining the quality of their own posts as well as of other people's. I will still answer it to the best of my ability though, hoping that my answer inspires you to lock this thread before sig spammers flood it with their ironic low-quality posts.

First of all, you need to ask yourself "why am I here?" Why are you a member of this discussion board? Why are you posting on a particular thread? Why are you reading the posts made by other members? If you know why you're here, then you can easily figure out the inherent quality of your posts before you even make them.

For example, if a member is here solely to earn BTC from signature campaigns, then that member's posts will inherently be of poor quality. You would see such a member frantically making successive posts about trivial topics in order to reach his/her daily quota of posts for the signature campaign. You might even see that member making dubious claims or giving advice about topics that he has no inkling of knowledge of just to pad his/her post count on the relevant subforums. (Trust me -- I've seen a lot of idiots posting about things that they know absolutely nothing about.)

However, there are also members who come to this discussion board to learn, share their knowledge and participate in meaningful discussions with other people regarding important topics. Those members will naturally make posts that can be considered of fair-to-excellent quality. Their posts will most likely contain meaningful ideas and insightful opinions.

Another thing to consider when appraising the quality of a post is how well it conveys the idea or information that it is meant to convey. It is easy to tell someone that they are wrong about something, but that really does nothing unless you can empirically prove that they are indeed wrong. It is possible that multiple differing opinions may simultaneously be considered correct by their own merits, but simply yelling something without acknowledging the ideas of the other party or showing them due respect tends to lower the quality of a post. Be proper and precise.

Read before you post. That is one of the most heavily ignored concepts by the sig spammers. You can usually see them spouting the same nonsense that has been said over and over in a thread because they didn't care to read anything but the thread title. Some of them don't even know what the topic of the thread is actually about. If you are a respectable member of the forum, then those are the people that you would want to cull Darwin-style. Don't be like them. Read, read, then read again. If you don't want to read, then you shouldn't be posting here at all.

Most importantly, practice common sense. That is the most important thing. That doesn't even need to be explained. Your common sense can tell you if your post is crap or not.

Now lock this thread.
This might look like one of those stupid questions you have seen on this site. If u understand so much then u have answer a lot also. Remember without new members the site is heading to the rock. Am not so surprised that a lot of so called senior member throw such abusive words around new members. You were once new here remember. Not all member have the same or equal knowledge, and what makes u think I cant know more than you in a short while. Where i come from we dont consider anyone idiot, just maybe he doesn't know enough. But your foolish way of making comment is helpful.

3604  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Ether price? on: September 15, 2016, 08:54:41 AM
I do not expect a big price rise. Ethereum is too over hyped at the moment and do not forget that there are mined around 36,000 new Ether each day.
I like to work with a reliable speculation on ethereum now.
3605  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Why it is said that bitcoin is centralized? on: September 15, 2016, 08:34:59 AM
I cant just imagine if one of the digital currency is not centralized with the growth of alternative coin. I believe just like other currency, centralization helps to maintain its value and also check it. Dollar is a centralized currency to all other currency, same is what bitcoin serves. bitcoin security status and cap value will help it for a longer period
3606  Other / Off-topic / Re: What is your plan to get rich with Bitcoin? on: September 15, 2016, 08:26:24 AM
Hey guys,

I just spoke to a guy over chat who told me his plan was to get 100 BTC, wait for the price to reach $5k per BTC and retire after that. Since he lives in a third world county, that might be possible for him. I know this is a simplification of the problem but I d like to know what s your plan. How many BTC is your goal, at what price and what happens once you reach that goal. After all, we have all been involved in a dream, why not dream it a bit more.  Grin
I love to trade with it. If I have enough that shows how wealthy I have become in my country u can organize conferences and lectures. That can make a lot also.

3610  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How can people be buying eth right now? on: September 14, 2016, 10:18:32 AM
It doesn't make any sense.  Is it being manipulated by top bagholders who are using their money to keep buying the sell offs to give it the smoke and mirror effect of looking like Eth isn't bleeding out?
I dont think there is any pump for now, no panic trade.

3612  Other / Off-topic / Re: What to do with my signature campaign earnings ? on: September 12, 2016, 04:01:27 AM
Thats little amount of 0.01 btc per week but if you can raise to let's say a minimum 0.1 btc after some time the best options for you are:

1. Invest in bitcoin casino bankroll --- As with all investments there is high risk to lose your money but so far many of the big online casinos have proved to be profitable in the long run for the investors there although with small profit. If you like what you are seeing and getting if everything is going like predicted, you can add more btc to your investment.

2. Lending--- Try lending but always get a collateral at least 120% of your value that you will give for loan. Also make sure to accept only collateral which can be sold very quickly i.e altcoins.

Stay away from cloud mining, ponzi, Hyips and all shit like that.
This gave a better option to handle your bitcoin. Trading , lending and investing. Just like every other medium of exchange one needs to have the better way of handling it. Gambling is a away of giving out money freely without being stolen.
3613  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Why do you need to download 7 years of chain block on: September 10, 2016, 04:21:02 PM
ok, so I installed bitcoin core latest version and it downloaded over 80G of chain block. Let's assume, just for the fun of it, there are 1000 bitcoin core users out there. That's ~8T of wasted disk space. and considering bitcoin will live another 7 years and it will grow of couse, that's like ~20T of disk space (1000 users remember?) for what? couldn't be a centerlaize, maybe mirrored, location that the client will ask for the chain block from there? Why do we need to download it?
The entire purpose of downloading the entire blockchain is to independently verify it and allow for the independent verification of every single block and transaction that occurs later. The only thing that a full node needs to "trust" is the genesis block, the very first block of the blockchain. This is actually hard coded into the software so that there is a defined starting point. After that, the node downloads all of the blocks from its peers. It will check each transaction in the block, and then check the block to ensure that it is valid. Because each block is chained together and transactions are also chained together, it is not possible to start from any point in the blockchain other than the beginning and still maintain trustlessness.
It answered my question of y download the block chain
3614  Other / Off-topic / Re: What do you wish you could buy with btc ? on: September 09, 2016, 07:50:40 AM
I saw someone mention some things about wishing they could buy gas and food with btc ...
I agree with them both, food especially.

So what about you guys ?
Anything that you wish you could buy with btc ? (legal things of course LOL Cheesy)
Are there any Asian online store that accept bit coin as exchange unit?
3615  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Best Altcoin to invest in for 2016 and WHY on: September 08, 2016, 07:17:42 PM
What do you think about Decred ? I was able to make some profits with PoW and PoS, sold all, waiting.
The price seems to be stable around 1.5 USD, but people say you can have 8% per month with PoS.

Never heard alot people talk about it. Y?
3616  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Best Altcoin to invest in for 2016 and WHY on: September 08, 2016, 07:10:40 PM
Monero is going up consistently for two weeks now so I think it would be a good investment. It already surpass the trading volume and price of Etherium and Etherium Classic which has been in the top for a long time and more trader are getting in the game so I think it would continue to go up for now. Factom and Maidsafe Coin is also going up and down in terms of trade volume so I think it would be a good investment also profiting in the fluctuations.
Just one of the safe time to trade.
3617  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Blockchain lecturers on: September 06, 2016, 03:11:07 PM
Andreas Antonopoulos is too self indulgent to be taken seriously as a real lecturer. He has no technical background in cryptography or distributed systems, just a former computing student who doesn't work in computing. Except when he got a job as CTO at blockchain.info, lol. He mostly speaks on internet chat-shows.

Not someone to be taken seriously, however good his comparisons/metaphors for explaining Bitcoin are.

Carlton you not serious about this right? Why do you need a technical expert to speak about the economical/social impact of Bitcoin? Andreas is the best man for the job, because he has the ability to comprehend the difference between coding Bitcoin and applying it in the real world. He has travelled the world, and he has spoken to thousands of people in this scene. I have to differ from you on this one, because I know of no better speaker than Andreas that would hit this out of the ball park.

If this was a technical seminar for programmers and developers, I would have agreed with you. ^hmmmm^

Unserious approach should not be neglected. However the diligence of lecture preparation will deliver a concise and effective knowledge transfer by academics
3618  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can Bitcoin help poor countries? on: September 02, 2016, 05:29:31 AM
Can Bitcoin or any other altcoin help poor countries?
how? what can be done?
I like the fact that the exchange rate is universal. Politics in poor country can't affect the currency. Importantly, for any trade into countries with low value currency you make a good sum of money back.
