3604  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BBQcoin.org Official Thread on: June 24, 2013, 08:03:12 PM
Suggestion: create a BBQ address generator like this one for FTC:
http://host.feathercoin.com/Featheraddress/featheraddress.html

The advantage is that it will allow to accept BBQ without downloading the entire blockchain, becase most of people doesn't have enough HDD for all blockchains.

Good idea!

These guys in the foundation are frightening.

3615  Economy / Economics / Re: Do lame & scam alt-coins leech BTC's fiat value? on: June 22, 2013, 05:08:29 PM
Altcoins are fine for learning, gaining experience and starting a "new life" in the land of the cryptocurrency. I've made my first BTC from trading alts and learned all the basics from my gains and losses without any investment. If I have to do the same with BTC I would have to invest a lot of money, I would hesitate lot more before every orders and I think I would still counting my losses.
BTW sorry to say, but you guys sounds to me like bankers worrying about of this new phenomenon called bitcoin and it's potential use for scamming and money laundering:). Ironic, isn't it?
3616  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Who need bitcoin to launder money when you have... on: June 22, 2013, 03:36:28 PM
Well I must admit I'm using bitcoins for "domestic money laundering". It's a good way to channel trough my "pocket money", make some extra income AND hide it from my wife's watching eyes, before she can turn it to shite  Smiley. (Sometimes literally. Few month ago I've sold my old mobile phone on ebay and when the payment arrived she spent it on horse and chicken manure "for the strawberries".)
3617  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: POLL: Allow dust transactions in Bitcoin? (5430 satoshis or less) on: June 22, 2013, 02:55:28 PM
By eliminating dust bitcoin will stuck in the "big transactions" area and in the long run it can loose it's ability for being a widely used means of payment. In addition if its value grows high enough the amount what we today call dust could be your monthly phone bill in the future... or your monthly salary... Just remember the price of the first pizza what has been bought by using bitcoins Smiley.
3618  Economy / Economics / Re: The hubris of b(w)ankers on: June 22, 2013, 09:24:16 AM
Well he has some valid point when he talking about scamming, gold coins and electricity.  You can have tens of thousands of bitcoins but without electricity your wallet is as valuable as the readme.txt in the C:\windows directory...

Actually I'm more worried about the plans of the first banker.

3620  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Powercoin 51% Attack on: June 21, 2013, 10:39:02 AM
Some cleanup would be useful indeed but such attacks could be damaging for the entire cryptocurrency "industry". So, carefully with that axe mate Smiley.
