3621  Economy / Economics / Re: I have 12 BTC in my Account, How should I invest this?? on: December 30, 2016, 06:32:04 AM
you should hold your bitcoin for the next year and its right time to hold your bitcoin because bitcoin increasing its price too much faster and we know that bitcoin is very much useful qnd  profitable currency than other so hold your bitcoin is very much better than other investment .
That is not the right way to be smart in using that 12 BTC. If i were you i will just sell that 12 bitcoin and wait for the dump of the price then patiently buy bitcoin again for a lower price (example: $400 per bitcoin) then patiently wait for the price to spike up again and then you can easily double or even triple your money without thinking too much on investments because you just store your bitcoins on cold storage to keep them safe from hackers.
I think it is imposible that the bitcoin will decrease the price to low because bitcoins is non stop from highering the price because of market and the people who buys it and use for businesses purpose.
yeah you are right that bitcoin will be never decreases its price because bitcoin is very much stronger currency and i hope it will be more increasing its price and because people adopting bitcoin for the future.
We can not predict Bitcoin 100% so it is not good to say that Bitcoin will never decrease, personally I wish Bitcoin price should never come down but as we know storm may come at any time.

As quoted anything might happen anytime when bitcoin is considered. So its better not to make long time predictions, better try to earn at the right time. For op's request its better to sell a half than investing somewhere else, because price sure goes down to some extent, which benefits for further buying.
3622  Economy / Economics / Re: How a cashless society could kill Bitcoin. on: December 30, 2016, 06:05:27 AM
Well I see it as battle of centralized and decentralized system where centralized have an edge over that decentralized system since the first one is supported by the government.  Having said that there is an authority behind cashless society, there is a big chance that it will kill bitcoin because it already do the supposed to be function of bitcoin.  Aside from same sort had been tested for several decade now and had been proven to work great unlike bitcoin which is at its early phase of development and application.
So one factor that cashless society could possibly kill bitcoin by making the government to eliminate competition and that is banning bitcoin or same sort of decentralized cryptocurrency.
A cashless society may happen but it is not going to happen everywhere at the same time, it will happen sooner in the developed countries, but in poorer countries cash will keep on existing so a possible solution for some time will be if you live in a cashless society is to buy cash from other countries and then use that cash to buy bitcoin and once you have it you can use the same channels as before to buy stuff with bitcoin like purse.io.
I agree with you on that, the fact that majority of the world's population are still living in poverty, they are not subject for a change in the future as they will still continue with the old ways.
That poverty is really a problem that can't be wiped out from a century ago until now or even longer and it means that waiting until poverty cleared is such a waste of time. Technology must be developed with the cheapest possible to make those poor people could afford the technologies thus they can be getting involved into cashless society

As described its better to make a technology advanced as well affordable and accessible by poor people which helps eradicate poverty. Another thing is that cashless environment makes the benefits from government to people directly without any intermediate which is good for poor.
3623  Economy / Economics / Re: Why Bitcoin has power nowadays ? on: December 30, 2016, 04:26:11 AM
Bitcoin is powerful from the days of its existence, because it has some value in terms of dollar or other currencies. I believe the true power is the support that bitcoin gained from more users, though its never promoted through different advertisement or through media's.
3624  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why some people prefer Bitcoin over fiat ? on: December 30, 2016, 04:11:32 AM
There are lot of reasons why some people prefer bitcoin over fiat.
For example buying goods/commodities online in which they requires you to enter your secret information or credit card information which is too risky,  bitcoin transactions, however, don’t require you to give up any secret information.

Right now only very few are using bitcoin for online purchase and for related needs. In my view most were giving preference as a investment as its the only currency that grows in value though its not invested anywhere, just held on hands.
3625  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What was the purpose of creating bitcoin from the beginning? on: December 30, 2016, 03:52:01 AM
At the beginning its been created as a storage value token used for transaction as well for anonymous usage. This in a short got used as a payment gateway and further on more and more adoption its potential rose in relation to time and value. This made users to consider as a source or a currency similar to our local currencies which has got only digital form.
3626  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Ever dreamed about Bitcoin? on: December 30, 2016, 03:25:50 AM
Never expect that bitcoin can become valuable currency at the moment ( reaching highest value recently : $ 962,1 on preev
When I knew bitcoin a year ago, I'm still not interest at all ! After I know bitcoin better, I'm become attracted until it also get me a dream , one day someone mistaken send me 1000 bitcoin on my wallet
i think i never dreamed that in my area there will be such shops who will accept bitcoin for shopping, now my ares there are some shops who are accepting bitcoin for shopping. its really a big change.

It is good to know that you live in a locality where bitcoin is accepted. I dreamt of earning good through bitcoin gambling, which came to reality of earning 2bitcoin within 10-20 days time. At the same it got lost in the same time period. I believe the op will be happy now, because price of bitcoin has crossed his dream value.
3627  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin has no competition on: December 30, 2016, 02:39:04 AM
bitcoin has a lot competitions: those from altcoins, though now they are all small, and those using blockchain technologies..

Where is the competition with alt coins?  Any altcoin which is yet really competing with BTC?  Sure some use alternate algorithms and some of them are really promising.  But I still don't see a real competition.

//alex

You will see it after a lot of the financial institutions are using hyperledger, soon.  A lot of the thing with getting sync with hyper and totally the serious competitor for bitcoin has come.  Just a problem of times.

Altcoin like a small fruit below of the big tree.

As quoted universities and financial institutions were focusing much over the digital currency network. Recently an university organised competition for Blockchain development. So, surely more and more altcoins will exist to compete with bitcoin, but to get the standard similar to bitcoin is possible for very few as the same way that we experience now.
3628  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin without Altcoin ? on: December 30, 2016, 01:38:48 AM
Most altcoins are garbage, but there are a few that did advance the blockchain technologies and made us better understanding the cybercurrency. Yet none will ever getting close to bitcoin.
That's maybe true in the present because to be highly developed and to rise sky high like bitcoin now, altcoins need to have enough amount of time and draw plenty of attention to grow. But as time passes by, this might no longer true. Nothing can last forever and so does bitcoin, it will surely be replaced by another crypto coins, what's left now is the matter of time.

altcoin is not dependent on Bitcoin and Bitcoin does not depend also to altcoins but  creating an altcoin would be beneficial since you can converts those alts to btc..
so its mean alt coins are depending on bitcoin, to me i think both bitcoin and alt coin are important to each other, to me as i most invest my assets in bitcoin and from there i futher invest my bitcoin into alt coin and same is the reverse procedure when i want to cash out my some money.

Some users does this, but even without altcoin it is possible to convert bitcoin to fiat. When it comes to altcoin, very few can be directly converted to fiat. In my view, trading can be effective with the altcoins but both were not mutually depending. Mostly alts depends for growth.
3629  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The best way to quit gambling for good on: December 26, 2016, 07:46:10 PM
gambling is difficult to people who has got addicted to it. to stop gambling.....hmm.... will take a lot of time to stop it, but the best way to stop it is don't start it at all.

someone if become addicted is really hard to get stop from gambling, the only thing that person can do is asked for other person help and tell the truth about addicting in gambling so other person can help him. for best way to quit gambling is from ourself that have passion to stop and want to leave gambling for forever.
Yeah either ask a friend or family member to help you out or you need to have enormous self control and determination and just make a commitment of not gambling, which is usually impossible.

Another way, you can try is going to your relatives house for a month or two and just enjoy life there, obviously you cannot gamble there since you will have members around you always.

It looks similar to adding people to gambling. There are users who were into gambling as a group and have fun as well makes combined predictions. So if someone has the interest in gambling once again the user continues than quitting it.
3630  Economy / Speculation / Re: [Poll] What will Bitcoin be worth on Christmas Day ? on: December 26, 2016, 07:30:42 PM
No need to hope to test $1000 as it simply will not happen. Our biggest concern should be to keep the price above $800 in the coming months.

If that's something that we can achieve, then after that we might be able to focus on reach $1000. Mainly because I have the feeling that things are about to turn any time soon.

Nothing is impossible, there were lots of continued adoption happening in accordance to time. This time its expected to be very high than the past years because of several economic issues that took place around the globe. This has made users focus towards bitcoin.
3631  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How to Turn Gambling into a Profitable Activity on: December 26, 2016, 06:50:59 PM
There is no gambling without losing, the ones who win all the time are cheaters and scammers probably. I know personally people who live from sports betting, they are in sports everyday, almost like daily job without specific work time, they risk a lot and they hit couple slips where they get back invested and plus profit. I make couple bet slips per week, they have 15 each day, and every bet slip is + 10 euros, and some of those slips have 4 digits payout.
Sports betting honestly is on of the good in gamble because you can easily predict than the other game.. but you can not get maintain profit that actually you can get in sports betting you can be still lose because not all are 100% that you can win everytime you bet..

Gambling is fun filled as most users indicated. I too prefer sports betting, because it can be predicted in a closer way than other gambling events. But even in long run regular earning through gambling is really hard because mind goes behind more profit which makes user to get addicted.
3632  Economy / Economics / Re: why is it so hard to buy bitcoin on: December 26, 2016, 06:34:48 PM
If u are in india u can buy bitcoins through zebpay or through local bitcoins u can buy bitcoins and sell it .different countries i would say that u should that invest through localbitcoins.it will be useful.

Every country has got different trading and exchange websites to give easy access to the users. During the early days lot exchange websites and other trading websites found to be scam. Little by little improved features made bitcoin buying and selling successful without getting trapped.
3633  Economy / Speculation / Re: I sold half of my COLD STORAGE coins on: December 26, 2016, 06:17:39 PM
OP seems to be an early adopter of bitcoin. Only those people got the chance of buying bitcoin at that low price. If he is an early adopter sure he holds a huge volume of bitcoin compared to the users who were into bitcoin recently or few years back.
3634  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: "Everyone already knows about bitcoin" no.. no they do not.. on: December 26, 2016, 06:02:48 PM
So true. I would say that only 1% of the population of the world knows bitcoins. If it is not 1% probably below 5%. This is probably why there aren't many companies or establishment accepts bitcoins as of yet. However, I believe in bitcoin and maybe in the near future it would be accepted by more people. If it does we would see more people using it in everyday lives.

One of the main reason, in my opinion, why not many company adopt bitcoin because of their concern on the probable issue they will encounter in the future if the use Bitcoin or accept bitcoin in their company.  Big company have their own system and does not automatically accept or make any changes.  They need to deal with it carefully because the future of their company rely in it.  They are always on the legalities of things to protect their reputation.

Probably, unless the coin becomes one of the most usable and trustable currencies in the physical world the companies cannot really take a risk of adopting it as they know it wont be good for them if something happens in future which may put some affect on their company.

As quoted bitcoin to get the physical form for offline store usage is really hard. Only very few were aware as well started using different wallets for their needs. Even now there are many companies that have made big investments on bitcoin indirectly.
3635  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Difference between Bitcoin and real money? on: December 26, 2016, 05:42:47 PM
Bitcoin is tax free but Real money is not tax free.Bitcoin can't be use in every shop or markets. But real money is eligible in every shops and markets. If we transfer bitcoin it's untraceable but real money transfer is traceable.Real money will never die or banned  but bitcoin can be banned or vanished.

Yeah bitcoin is tax free, at the same real money were kept without proper taxation by few users. Though bitcoin looks untraceable if a particular persons bitcoin address is known, his entire balance can be known. Real money can't be the same even if someone's account details were known.
3636  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to convince my dad that Bitcoin is a trustful currency ? on: December 26, 2016, 05:23:51 PM
Make your dad to start using bitcoin. Soon he'll realise the true potential of bitcoin and allow you to use bitcoin for your goodness. Else make him to learn more about the different earning access which too might convince him not to block you from using bitcoin.
3637  Economy / Speculation / Re: Latest Price Surge Due To Delayed Halving Effect? on: December 22, 2016, 04:55:12 PM
Right now the price variation happening to higher extent compared to the past days in which price looked to be stabilizing. But now it varies widely, which might be due to the impact of halving as mentioned by users. During this year's halving we didn't get expected, so now that might get fulfilled.
3638  Economy / Economics / Re: Best way for steady income on: December 22, 2016, 04:40:08 PM
I recommend to open online shopping that receive bitcoin. With online shopping the bitcoin will we get every time, and we hold the bitcoin, sell after the best price.
Online shopping is the most hardest thing on internet buy and sell all efforts how about those bogus buyer's that don't buy your items? And then your like wasting money for nothing i preferred business with internet cafe this is the best way to do income daily. While doing bitcoin.
I also feel opening online shop successfully is one of the hardest and most riskiest thing that can be done, even if you open one and no body is buying anything then alot of effort and money is going to be in vain.Better to open a business in real world seeing the demand in the city.

Yeah real world jobs will not make a big loss even if something doesn't work based upon the schedule. Here only the needs of people alone need to be considered. But with online business plans need lot to be spend upon promoting and advertising the particular service or product.
3639  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why some people prefer Bitcoin over fiat ? on: December 22, 2016, 04:24:20 PM
What I found from most users who prefer bitcoin than fiat is due to its secure nature that can't be stolen easily. Important thing is its increased pricing compared to other altcoins as well fiat. No other currency acts as a potential investment similar to bitcoin which surely grows regularly with certain time interval.
3640  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Warning to USA citizens about BTCC... on: December 22, 2016, 04:06:49 PM
It's always best to buy/sell Bitcoin in person. Most exchanges are not really trustworthy - either they get ''hacked'' and/or they collect and distribute your private information to everyone asking for it or paying enough.

People who are sending copies of their passports to such exchanges are crazy imho. Identity theft and full-spectrum surveillance are only a matter of time. It's sad.

What you said is true about giving personal details and documents to exchanges are risky but even when you are dealing with bitcoin in person is also full of risky more then dealing in exchanges. So it is much preferred to use the local exchanges who are dealing without having to give personal details and documents.

Earning Bitcoin is now easy but buying and selling Bitcoin is becoming Hard as their are so many scam and  cheating ways are moving in exchanges

Most of the trading websites were legit and if you were one among the victim who got trapped by exchange websites then try to make petitions. The petition might help other users to stay away from them. Another thing very few legalized exchange websites were there. Can use that for the goodness.
