3621  Economy / Gambling / Re: fortunejack.com POSSIBLE EXIT SCAM on: March 03, 2017, 05:45:47 PM
They said they will lower withdrawal limit on monday

Minimal withdraw was temporarily increased due to two reasons:

1) Probably you are familiar with the fact that fortunejack.com takes initiative to cover expenses of every outgoing transaction for our players' best comfort. Recent increase of transactions on Blockchain caused withdraw delays and we had to increase transaction fee multiple times to create instant transaction processing infrastructure for our player's satisfaction.
2) We experienced enormous number of fraud abuse cases on low outward transactions recently and limit increase served as a temporary measure to analyse and prevent the happening. Withdraw limit will be updated on Monday at 9:00am server time and fixed on 0.01BTC

I've seen this fraud excuse being used multiple times by Fortune Jack, also for delaying withdraws.
How is it possible that other casino's do not have this kind of problem or do they just not care?
3622  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin has defeated gold on: March 03, 2017, 05:40:23 PM
No bitcoin does not defeat gold, and it could not surpass Gold's price because every year Golds price is increasing and would not decrease, although bitcoin has good price increase, it maybe not a strong reason to think that Gold is defeated. Sometimes btc price will decrease down very big in value and worst that may happened is it will not be profitable soon.

i don't know what you're looking but bitcoin is definitely higher than gold now, and gold is defeated yes, if you wanna talk about the marketcap, you may hold a reason to think that gold is still the king, but on the simple value gold is done,, and btw this is the second time that gold is defeated, the first one was in 2013
Uhm, marketcap is a big factor in all of this. In the grand scheme of things, Bitcoin's marketcap is still tiny compared to gold or other assets.
More prone to price fluctuations.

In a month or so the price might even be lower than the price of gold, so I wouldn't say that Bitcoin has won anything.

Thanks! I know I sounded a bit distrustful, maybe naive in my post, but that does seem like people are intentionally spamming the network.
I'd really like to know who's behind this and why. They've been keeping up with this spam attack for a pretty long time now.

Is it even in any way possible to get some more information about the people behind this? Except speculation ofc...

well you know bitcoin is pseudo anonymous and that allows them to hide. although you can always follow the coins (some blockchain analysis like what walletexplorer.com does) and find links to individuals who are doing this.

for example that tx i linked in the end of my post is from Komodo notary nodes. you can see them in the topic, trying to justify their actions.
Yeah, I've seen another topic where they're admitting it, but also saying that they're not contributing to network spam.
They've been doing this since October.

I saw a block explorer link yesterday of one address sending 1275 transactions to itself. Just maybe that is not an organic transaction. A crazy thought I know.
When making claims like this, it helps to also post the txid of the transaction.
Just so we know you're not just making stuff up.

Also, seeing one such transaction doesn't prove anything, could just be someone who's figuring out how Bitcoin works and trying out new things.

here you go: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1776143.0
and if you think addresses like 1EPKSuFjTH3xbCK3b5ebaPbe8iUGvKvF8a is trying to figure out how bitcoin works by sending transactions out with high fees every 1-3 seconds then you have to think again!
here is a transaction containing a lot of these addresses which you can follow back to see more:

but many of them are dead end mixers.

p.s. gentlemand may be talking about this: https://blockchain.info/tx/1148de03991e0bf17e2846e7eb9373f7ae280ca07349f637052a6874c5b2eb5c?show_adv=true

3626  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What would you do with your winnings? on: March 03, 2017, 04:49:38 PM
I will definitely put my winnings into something memorable, something I will remember for years to come and then blow the rest on friends and family. It's very important to get a target when gambling and I think I will definitely try to meet the target in my mind prior to the gambling event.
To me, that seems like a waste, but that's just my personal opinion.
I would spend my money on tangible things that would benefit me for a longer time and some sort of investment.

I'd not spend too much on friends and family, I think that only leads to them wanting more when it runs out.
3627  Economy / Gambling / Re: fortunejack.com POSSIBLE EXIT SCAM on: March 03, 2017, 04:45:26 PM
Pathetic act among the owners of fortunejack and what are they thinking for impementing that? Do they think all of their players got 0.1 balance in their site wallet? I think no! Fuck they're forcing their players to continue plays at them so that they can achieve to minimum withdrawal limit and that could be bad for small gamblers since surely they will force to play for their pity times. Boycott fortunejack so that they will realized that they are lossing their costumer.
The worst part is that 0.1 BTC is currently worth around 120 dollars, what kind of a threshold is that?
That's something I've never even heard about from other casino's.

To make matters worse, they allow 0.01 BTC deposits and they've just implemented this without asking any sort of agreement of people who'd already deposited.

If I was a player there and they just changed the min. withdrawal amount, I'd ask my deposit back and close my account.
3628  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Transaction Accelerator on: March 03, 2017, 04:40:24 PM
Are they factually incorrect on some of the issues they mention in that post?
If not, I don't think it's unethical or distasteful to want to inform users about their position in the matter.

I'm not saying they're right or wrong here, just saying that I'm not opposed to informing users and trying to sway them one way or another.
3629  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to Earn Ethereum ? on: March 03, 2017, 04:34:11 PM
You can invest in gambling sites that offer games with Ethereum.
It's still possible to invest ETH in the Crypto-Games bankroll, if I recall correctly.

Not sure if there are other trusted gambling sites that offer investment into their ETH bankroll.

3631  Economy / Economics / Re: BitCoin Exchange on: March 03, 2017, 12:38:53 PM
Making a local bitcoin exchange would need some serious studies about the viability of this kind of project. You can be a local exchanger but what would make people to use your service instead the giants that are already established ? Maybe a local payment solution related to your country but nowadays, you can buy and sell bitcoin with all the payments possible. I afraid the market is somehow "saturated" and or difficult to be in at least

In my opinion there would be no need for a local BTC exchange. BTC was designed to be open to everyone who wants to use it and it has the ability to operate outside of the law and instead it creates its own layer of payments that can cross borders. Why limit it by going local? Use it they way it should be. Borderless.
What are you talking about? Having local exchanges doesn't take anything away from the open nature of Bitcoin. It just gives ease of use to the people who use Bitcoin.

OP, what you're talking about is basically a Bitcoin ATM. I have no idea how much profit they gain, guess it depends on their location.
I'd like to see some usage statistics from people who own one though.
3632  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: >>> Trading tips for newbi<<< on: March 03, 2017, 12:34:18 PM
Hello guys this is my suggestion for newbie who wants to trade, I'm not an expert but hope this would help you  Grin Grin Grin Grin

1. Find a known and good reputation exchange. Example: Poloniex at Bittrex. Why?
A. There are many exchange sites that has many pump & dump coins
B. These kind of exchange have a high standard of accepting coins
C. They have huge volume so trades are moving constantly
2. Find and search about the coin you want to buy. Example: bitcoin, ltc, eth, etc.
A. Pick old coins that still exists and active to date
B. High Market Capitalization
C. High Volume in exchange
D. Original concepts and active developers
3. Do not buy at the peak price
A. Check the daily or weekly details of its high and low trades
B. Now the saying "Buy low and Sell High" will took place
C. If possible, buy while it still have negative change status if you know the trending will go up
4. Try not to invest in one coin
A. You need to have alternative coin in trading so that your investment will not be stucked while waiting for uptrend
5. Do not be swayed easily by trolls
A. Do Your Own Research ok

I dont really get some of your points, especially 2A  why would you pick an old Alt,  they are usually far less volatile which in my opinion isnt great for an active trader.  picking an old Alt, is more like an investment that it might come up with a new feature and my double in size or something.

also no 3, "do not buy at the peak Huh if anyone knew where the peak was it would never get there. lol
Buying old altcoins that have almost no proven track record is a bit like investing in penny-stocks.
You might pick one that will land you a good profit over time, if you're lucky.

But usually you have to be lucky to be able to sell it for the price you bought.
Always pick coins that have good trading volume and follow the development of said coin.
3633  Economy / Gambling / Re: fortunejack.com POSSIBLE EXIT SCAM on: March 03, 2017, 12:18:25 PM
Too soon to say that they're going to pull an exit scam.
But on the other hand, I wouldn't play on that site anymore, the 0.1 BTC minimum withraw + many users complaining about long withdraw times are enough reasons to stay away.

So many other crypto casino's to choose from that offer instant withdrawals, even for larger amounts.
3634  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can Bitcoin be used by ordinary citizens? on: March 03, 2017, 12:11:01 PM
Bitcoin is usually used by people interested in technology. I mean, persons with a certain technical knowledge are interested in bitcoin.

My observations are that way. I think Bitcoin needs to reach larger quantities. Can use bitcoin in people who are not interested in technology?
Can people use the bitcoin in the profession group like tradesmen, teachers, housewives, firemen, butchers? Are we going to see the days that these people use bitcoin?
Mobile and internet is frequently used by everyone these days and if one can use internet,no reason why he can't use bitcoin.
We need a bit of help every time we use something new so if some help is required,it nay be sought.
But internet basically has a monopoly on what it provides, I know might not be the right way to put it.
Bitcoin on the other hand has a lot more competition from other payment systems and those are generally easier to use.

Bitcoin can certainly be used by ordinary citizens, but why should they if they have plenty of other options without any learning curve?
3635  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do You Go to Land Based Casinos? on: March 03, 2017, 12:07:21 PM
Not very often, might have gone to 2 real casino's over the past 5 years or so.
I just don't find it very fun, since you never know how much the house edge is on their games.

I usually stick to provably fair Bitcoin casino's Smiley

You're just factually wrong with that comment. Gold has also seen some serious price decreases over the past 20 years, just look at any chart.
Now, Bitcoin certainly hasn't 'defeated' gold, but it's now showing that it could be a serious contender in the future.
3637  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Bitcoin Shop Website Builder on: March 03, 2017, 10:46:25 AM
I agree with stevenh512, Wordpress + Woocommerce is probably your best and most versatile option.
It's not difficult to set everything up yourself and there are a lot of templates available that work together with that plugin.

They support a lot of payment methods, including Bitcoin (through extensions)

Another benefit of using Wordpress is that you'll also have access to thousands of other plugins that you might need when setting up your store
It's also very usefull to learn how to set-up a Wordpress site, no programming skills needed.

I would strongly advise you to stay away from so called 'website builders' and other services that help you set up a store in a few minutes.
You have almost no control over the website itself, something you'll probably end up regretting after a while.
3638  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What do you think about blockchain powered cars? on: March 03, 2017, 10:38:28 AM
Could you include the video in the post? Were they specifically talking about Bitcoin, or just blockchains in general and use with an altcoin?
Seems that it would also be pretty cool if the payments could be made automatically with NFC, there have been quite a few developments in that field. (NFC + Bitcoin)
3639  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Introducing bitcoin is not that easy on: March 03, 2017, 10:32:55 AM
Today was our final oral defense and luckily i was able to explained properly the process and panel did agree with my hypothesis. Lower years were also asking if what does bitcoin payment can actually do. I explained everything to them and some also said that is good and easy. We might be able to use it as well in our thesis project
How did you manage to get them to agree with your hypothesis? You might have given some arguments that other people can use as well.

In any case, keep us updated if you end up using this in your thesis project!
3640  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: In which bitcoin gambling casinos should i invest my bitcoins ? on: March 02, 2017, 10:11:42 PM
Well the way it works is pretty simple. You can invest that in some new and up coming Casinos. If they are still around in 1 years time you stand to make multiples of your investment. However since most up and coming Casinos usually have capital issues, its very easy for a huge whale gambler to come and clean them out. Like that "fun-casino" which doesnt have enough bankroll to issue deposits.

Its much safer investing in larger casinos such as PrimeDice who will never have liquidity issues, however PrimeDice doesn't have a program to invest in. So you are pretty much stuck.
That's actually not great advice. You're taking big risks if you're investing in new casino's, they have no proven track record.
How much you make depends on their house edge and the percentage they pay out to investors.

Crypto-Games is a large gambling site, that has been around for years. They're also very transparant on how much they pay out to investors and you can still invest for as little as 0.01 BTC.

Don't invest in new casino's, stick to the established ones!
