@mole0815 hat uns den Thread hier mit euren Tipps dankenswerterweise bereinigt und alle Tippabgaben/Statements gelöscht, es wurden nämlich auch schon Leute mit Bans belegt, die in solchen Threads geposted haben. Das möchte ich natürlich vermeiden! Eure Tipps sind nun im Spreadsheet übernommen, bitte nochmal kontrollieren, ob eh noch alles passt!

I honestly don't see it that way, no. At least not for high-frequency traders.
When someone trades on very small time frames (1h - 24h), then indicators play a much bigger role than, for example, the market sentiment or the publication of news (Apple buys BTC, China bans Bitcoin once again, ...). These usually cause a very high deflection in the chart, but is for small time windows practically hardly relevant and must almost be stamped as luck or bad luck if one of your trades meets such a news.

I think the right word here is "ritual" anyway. It doesn't matter if someone prays, stands up during a penalty shootout because he believes that his team will lose if he doesn't or players demand that their mascots perform a certain dance because it has brought luck in the past.... Thus, almost everyone has a certain ritual before games start to which he adheres and hopes to win through it.

Exactly, that's what I meant. Until recently, virtually every token listed on a DEX had at least an x10 for a short time (usually a few hours) and then immediately collapsed. I don't even want to know how many newbies here lost their precious BTC chasing the big money.

Something like that doesn't happen on CEX or only with much more effort, so the chance of being scammed on a CEX is much lower. Launchpads, on the other hand, only offer by a few CEXs, and of course they don't list every (promising) coin right away.

In such a case, I think it is obvious that the casino does not want this player to participate in the contests. In order to be successful in something you simply have to invest time and not believe that you just have to subscribe to a signal service and you are a millionaire in no time. But with this mindset, especially newcomers very often approach and then of course immediately go crazy as soon as a trade goes wrong or the market as a whole turns.

What do you mean by "long term trader"? Buy once and sell again after 10 years? So a Hodler?

My experience here is quite identical, also traded for a long time, but now I unfortunately lack the time. Especially intra-day trading is very time consuming and next to a 9-5 job almost not feasible. In addition, here in my country the regulations regarding crypto taxes have been tightened significantly, making many small and fast trades completely uninteresting.

That's for sure, I can also imagine that some streamers are paid extra to advertise the contest by playing directly. As a casino you can hardly reach a similar range otherwise, such streams have thousands of viewers, that's quite a lot. Even if only a fraction of them feels addressed and participates in the contest because of the stream, it's worth it for the casino.

I have come to see it the same way. Especially in the early days of DEX, I think you could trade there much more safely than nowadays, where so many scammers and entire scam teams/tokens are out and about, just waiting to rip you off:

This will eventually lead to either regulatory measures for DEX (the question is how) or to DEX losing its importance completely, as people prefer to trade on centralized exchanges again and don't run the risk of losing their coins there.

Hab ich da was von Gewinnspiel gehört?

Wie könnte man die Awareness für AVAX besser steigern als mit einem kleinen Gewinnspiel. Die Regeln sind altbekannt, wir tippen den AVAX-Preis mit 30. September um 12 Uhr mittags auf Binance, es zählt der Dollar-Preis.
@Ordinemo ist der deutsche AVAX-Mod und ich konnte ihn für eine großzügige Unterstützung unseres Gewinnspiels gewinnen. Er wirft insgesamt 10 AVAX in den Topf, das sind lt. aktuellem Stand sage und schreibe knapp 125$. Aus meinem eigenen Bestand lege ich zusätzlich noch 2,5 AVAX drauf und 25$ in BTC. Auch unser @1miau sponsored das Gewinnspiel nochmals mit 25$ in BTC, vielen Dank auch nochmal an dieser Stelle!

Die Regeln im Detail:

• Getippt werden die Preise auf 50 Cent genau, also bspw. 20,5$
• Bereits getippte Preise sind von der Person reserviert, die sie zuerst tippt. Bitte daher darauf achten, keinen belegten Preis zu tippen. Solltet ihr einen Preis doppelt tippen, erhält nur die Person den Preis, die ihn zuerst getippt hat.
• Gewinnen werden die besten 4 Tipps mit absteigender Vergütung. Sind 2 Mitspieler ident nahe am Preis, dann zählt der niedrigere Tipp. Beispiel: Der Preis Beträgt 30,5$ - Spieler 1 tippt 30$, Spieler 2 31$ dann zählt der Tipp von Spieler 1.

Preisverteilung

Die Preisverteilung ist folgendermaßen:

1. Platz: 4 AVAX + 25$ in BTC
2. Platz: 3 AVAX
3. Platz: 2 AVAX

Nachdem ich hoffe, dass ihr nun schon richtig drauf brennt mehr über AVAX zu erfahren habe ich mir gedacht, dass ich zusätzlich noch einen Preis an denjenigen ausgebe, der bis zum Ende des Gewinnspiels (30.09. um 12 Uhr mittags) das beste Review über AVAX hier im Forum schreibt. Dachte ich mir auch, habe mich deswegen im Meta-Board und auch hier bei unserem Lieblingsmod @mole0815 nochmal schlau gemacht und rückversichert, dass das in Ordnung geht.

Edit: Ich wurde leider "freundlich" darauf hingewiesen, dass das Gewinnspiel mit dem direkten Posten der Tipps so nicht erlaubt ist. Der Umweg über das Spreadsheet ist jedoch den Forumsregeln entsprechend, es darf nur das Posten nicht "bezahlt" werden.

Exact. I would never manage large sums of cryptocurrencies via a smartphone, if then only in readonly mode via Cointracking.info, for example. The chance that the smartphone will be stolen or someone will get access to the keys through malware is simply too great. In extreme cases, all it takes is the installation of a scam app and your hard-earned coins are gone.

With such amounts you have to have a correspondingly high stack, you can no longer do that with very many small bets. So we are most likely talking about (bitcoin) whales with a lot of bitcoins.

If you have so much money, you have usually already afforded everything you wanted to afford. That these people play to increase their stack of BTC I think is excluded, there are easier and less risky ways (Lending, ...) -> So these people play primarily just to have fun and possibly just to be able to show off when they stand at the top of the leaderboard

Definitely, yes. It wouldn't take that much effort and it would certainly be better than people starting to spam the forum just to get to the 5 posts.
I understand in principle that Windice want to push their own forum with this requirement so that simply more posts are generated there, but is for us as Bitcointalk users additional effort that would not necessarily have to be.

Ich bereite das Gewinnspiel vor und werds dann im Laufe der kommenden Woche posten. Muss mich nochmal bei Ordinemo rückversichern, ob das denn mit dem Zuschuss seitens Avalanche eh noch passt. Von mir wirds 2 AVAX + 25$ in BTC geben, dadurch haben wir auch kein Problem mit den Forenadmins, die ja Altcoin-Gewinnspiele normalerweise nicht so gerne sehen.

Yeah, that's pretty similar. The streamers "gamble" the money on the platform from which they are paid and are usually provided with the capital. The casino of course hopes for a lot of advertising and ideally many viewers follow the trades of the streamer - and lose their money as well. So it's quite a win-win story for the casino or the exchange, they win in any case

Especially for Bitcointalk members this rule could be relaxed a bit, we post here very regularly and support if necessary directly in the forum.

But at the same time I understand that the tracking of Bitcointalk usernames is not implemented and would mean a significant additional effort for Windice. But of course I don't want to have to create an account and "spam" so that I can participate.
