3621  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: So a bitcoin scam has been getting a lot of publicity in the Philippines lately on: February 03, 2020, 08:05:11 AM
They are basically just editing a screenshot of whatever show they are watching and just change the headlines after. With all the available tools that we have right now for photo and video manipulation, it's fairly easy to do such and fool people with these edited pictures. Tons of those advertisements can be found on Filipino forums, Facebook pages, Twitter and whatnot. Whenever I have the time, I try to report all such posts to at least help notify these sites from the scams. Heck, even in Canadian, Thailand and Vietnamese forums would you see the same type of thing! That's why sometimes I'm thinking that it's better to filter cryptocurrency ads on Google or any other large websites that people frequent in order to minimize the number of people being scammed.
Internet has made it possible to spread any news to a greater extend which almost covers most part of the countries. These people who were behind this scam might have some education qualities like digital marketing, graphic designing, etc which made them to convince other people that whatever they are publishing in 100% true. These might be some talented people not using their talent in proper section. They deserve to be under the bars because they would seriously harm a lot of people financially.

Social media, google advertising allows a lot of promotion no matter it leaves positive or negative impact on the community. Social media itself would help these to spread to the major extend.

Maybe there could still be a way to save faucets in all of casinos but I doubt it will ever happen, just to give an example, maybe there could be "play money" type of thing where it worths zero in real life unlike satoshis casinos give out for faucets, that way people could gamble with that fake money and get the fun of the website and they could actually end up liking the website thanks to it and deposit real money and gamble? Wasn't that the purpose of faucet? To show people what kind of website this is and make them gamble without risking anything before they deposit money?

Well, if that is the case people who do not want to deposit but first want to try, can do that with fake play money and after they decide if they like it or not they could deposit or not deposit depending on if they liked it or not.

I agree with you, indeed the average gambling site provides faucets or freecoins not to be collected. But for try playing on the site.
I experienced it myself, there are several gambling sites after I tried playing with freecoins capital apparently the system is quite fair
in my opinion. And I immediately without hesitation made a deposit to play gambling on the site. So I also plan to start gambling on
the mintdice site starting with faucets first.

The best way to stop the faucet abusers is to give the faucet only when the balance is NIL. In this way, a person cannot claim another faucet unless he has lost all the faucet amount in gambling and of course there is no way to withdraw the tiny faucet amount.
Maybe they are already doing this however the fact that even when it is zero balance that claims it, bots are the big trouble. So, in order to stop bots you try to find a way to stop the automatic claims and all that, which could be made by limiting the max you can claim back to back, not the first few but lets say a dude is claiming for the first time, that is instant, the second one should be a minute after, the third should be 3 minutes later, the fo.. basically it gets exponential but after one hour of no claiming, it resets back to instant and all the way to start, that way you can make sure people can claim only a certain amount in a day and won't be able to automatically claim constantly, it also would make sure no bots could claim back to back neither since it will take some time in between.
3623  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 NBA Season on: February 02, 2020, 04:28:34 PM
It was a weird game as Lakers basically destroyed kings, the difference of 16 points was all due to mainly game ending and garbage time was basically whole fourth quarter so the difference got closed to 16 points, there was bigger peaks in the game.

When Lakers actually play and have fun and be really a team, I don't see anyone stopping them, that was always like that for Lebron as well, when he has good players around him that play good enough with one more star beside him and a lot of entertainment between the players, he got super strong and destroyed all other teams, he just didn't liked playing when he was carrying cavs on the last 2 seasons tho. In any case this Lakers team will probably win the ring unless some big injury happens, I don't see any team that can beat them on a 7 game series.
3624  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Risk management , how ? on: February 02, 2020, 02:45:15 PM
Is it true that people really sucks at making strategies and plans in trading? What do you think is the causes of this? Greediness? Lack of knowledge? I think the number one thing that makes them to fail in trading is that they don't seek advice first to the professionals because they have many experiences to manage risks. Risk management is very crucial when it comes to cryptocurrency so every one should be aware of that. Most especially the people who really want to reach their goals, they want to take the risk by investing their money.
Even though we get much experienced or professional but yet, risk management would be an important subject for us unless and until we are linked with cryptocurrency trading. Crypto markets are much volatile which might show us huge profits but at the same time we can even face loss in the same manner.

The markets quickly move up and down which might not even give us the moment to sell of our coins at some stop loss. That's why setting a stop-loss each time your place a sell order is much necessary so that you would not have to face excess loss. You should have some backup plans in order to save your loss and quickly convert it into profits.
3625  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Turning 0.005 BTC to 1 BTC? Trading Journal | Currently 20% profit in 3 days on: February 02, 2020, 02:13:36 PM
First of all, good luck.

Secondly, leveraged trading is extremely risky, but to be completely honest it is really the only way that you are able to turn a profit when it comes to a "bankroll" of such a low amount - you are unlikely to see any significant gains even in the best case scenario if you were simply trading on the spot market.

I'd ensure that all my positions are kept in check and are not highly leveraged to more than 5x each time, because beyond which, it can just be as risky gambling.
OP has a desire to earn 1 BTC which would almost be impossible for normal trading experiences. Leverage trading is the only platform which might give him this excess amount of profits but yes, risk would always play an important role in leverage trading.

Each leverage trader has to keep on checking the graphs to see if the price is not getting wide in the opposite direction as it might lead to lose our funds. Leverage can really make you earn immense profits if you have the ability to make deep technical analysis and maybe your luck too would be required over here. You never would wish the price to rally in opposite direction if you have already bought coins valuing almost above 70% of your total capital.
3626  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Bitcoin & Its Momentum on: February 01, 2020, 05:56:54 PM
At least it is not $9.6k anymore and dropped a bit so we can call it a correction, we are still around the resistance tho. Anyone thinks we will ever have a hard time about the resistance? It doesn't really look like the resistance will ever be a problem and we will move higher to me but I wouldn't call myself an expert on the subject so maybe I am wrong.

There are tons of so called experts (none of which I trust, they might be correct but doesn't mean I trust them) keep saying bitcoin will have amazing year, every day some other one comes up and says the same thing. I just believe that if we all think bitcoin will go up, if experts do think like that, if everyone agrees on it, that kinda means it should actually go up shouldn't it? That is kinda the whole system how markets work in the end?
3627  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: The Top Performing Altcoin In 2020 on: February 01, 2020, 04:06:19 PM
For me there is a huge chance of 3 coins to rival each other this year according to what will happen. The biggest one will be ethereum because of the hard fork thing, if they actually manage to make it a staking coin, we will definitely see ethereum increasing, that is for sure, however how much it will go up is beyond me, maybe it will go to all time highs, maybe it will just increase %10, I don't know what will happen.

The other one is BNB, they had a good burning this year already and they keep finding ways people could spend BNB as well, it may have a good year if they find something to spend BNB on. Last one is EOS, they got famous because their blockchain got clogged and used so much, people realized its a liked one and it went up, I suppose it could continue that trend.
3628  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How often do you gamble? on: February 01, 2020, 03:24:24 PM
There is no specific count for the number of games I gamble, but I only gamble onto any game if it seems interesting for me.
I hardly gamble on with dice or any such common games but instead I love to play Soccer, Basketball, Ice hockey, and few such kind of games as it completely serves as a medium for entertainment for me.

I only gamble on a game which I can completely watch till the end so that it also passes my free time as well as I continue earning revenues from my hobby. I personally love cricket and I would never ever leave gambling in the worldcup. Also some T20 and ODI seems interesting for me and I do gamble on those much usually.
3629  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Three of your favorite bookie/betting info sites? on: February 01, 2020, 01:46:12 PM
prefers only trusted companies that have existed for many years. My top is Unibet
BetOnline and Sportsbetting are also good ones. BetNow and MyBookie are actually better. To be very honest, it is all about personal preferences. Unibet is not universal but a good place for betting on soccer and football. The option of tournaments is also a thrilling one but the games offered are limited ones and sites with the option of crypto currencies are the trend now. Those are more fun.
The above mentioned are the platforms to place your bets and not to gain information about the betting or bookies. Unibet, Betonline and sportsbetting are gambling platforms with several games but what OP is asking is perhaps the platforms where we could discuss about any games like soccer, basketball, etc.

There are few forums about gambling where there are a number of people discussing on the same game and placing their views. You could easily find profits in a game if you are close to such forums and chatrooms. Gamblingforum is among one of the forum I use to be updated with the gambling platform. But I have never blindly trusted any member from there to make individual profits and all I do is make my own analysis reading different views on the platform.
3630  Economy / Speculation / Re: I'm trapped in trading on: February 01, 2020, 10:45:47 AM
Predicting the current markets is really getting a tougher task. The markets are being most volatile and also most of my research went in vain after I saw the price moving in an opposite direction. I was trading on futures platforms and price going in opposite direction made all of my coins get liquidated. This usually gave me some loss but I am yet looking to recover the loss and step myself into profits.

Leverage trading might be much riskier in the current markets but as you said, you holding a stable coin would be better to quickly accumulate onto bitcoins if you find a good dip. I fear the price would not move below $8500 considering the current market situations so you should better find a entry point somewhat close to it.
3631  Economy / Speculation / Re: corona virus & bitcoin market on: January 31, 2020, 05:57:32 PM
Corona virus would have nothing to do with bitcoin but it might affect the price for few coins which are related to the medical science and also we could see some bullish movements into the charts of few forex stocks. Bitcoins have least relation with the corona virus as it is no where related to each other.

Yes, if people who are suffering from corona virus and those are big whales and they sell their coins just to recover with the virus than we might see a bullish trend but it would never be possible. People who have excess amount of funds into bitcoin would never just cashout to fight the corona virus. This has no direct relations and also we could not yet see any bullish market signs on the market charts of bitcoins.
3632  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: The End of Crypto Signal Groups on: January 31, 2020, 04:41:52 PM
Hi Everyone!

I just published an article about how it will soon be the end of crypto signal groups. Check it out and let me know what you think!

https://blog.shrimpy.io/blog/the-end-of-crypto-signal-groups

Thanks

Well, that's good if ever it is true. They are not good actually for me, sometimes they just deceived others here in the forum
to make believe to their analysis and announcement anyway. I am so happy if they get terminated in the future now in
cryptocurrency business.
What I experienced is that most of such signal groups might give signals when they personally have experienced a pump or dump. Even most of these groups might be manipulating the price of some small volume coins by creating false pump and than they might swing their members from their groups to place buy orders after the pump is already been performed just to create demand and buy orders for them to sell instantly.

Minor cases happen when the coins pump again giving profits but majority of times, people end up buying lower volume coins at the peak which would hardly be reached again which would indeed leave them with loss only.
3633  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Top Cryptocurrency Exchanges on: January 31, 2020, 03:48:08 PM
Hello guys I am Wallacem Cbroom.  Now I am going to Share my experience about cryptocurrency exchange.
In the past I use a exchanger. I don't mean the name of the exchanger  but I must say you one thing that I was cheated by the exchanger. It's transaction speed was not so fast. Then my one friend suggest me an exchanger called propersix exchanger. You don't believe that it's transaction speed is 6000 pts. And it's also secured for it's using technology. It use the latest Blockchain technology.  So, at this moment  I using this technology.  So. now I must say you all to try this exchanger.
More info: https://propersix.trade

Well, this is the first time I see the exchange you’ve mentioned. So, I’ll check feedbacks about it. You said that the previous exchange has cheated on you and then you said that the transaction was slow. In fact, a slow transaction is an unpleasant thing, but it is not cheating. Not even close. As for top exchanges, I prefer to use cex. If I need to use more advanced trading options I go to https://cexbro.com/.
Slow transactions actually have nothing to do with the reputation of the exchange as the transaction fees entirely depends on the current mining difficulty and the amount of fees you spent to publish your transactions. Some exchanges reflect your coins as soon as there is 1 confirmation on the network but some might wait for 6-7 confirmations before they could credit the coins onto your exchange. Also the site you mentioned looks like a trading broker.

I did not went through much brokers in cryptocurrency trading but I underwent through some on Forex markets. Broker might consume some percentage of your profit but risk would be lower so newbie traders might find it suitable. But for us, we need to trade on our own in order to maximize the profits by eliminating such brokerages.
3634  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How Can A Trader in this Business Protect Themselves Against Volatility Risk? on: January 31, 2020, 02:56:28 PM
It is basically a pump and dump scheme by the exchanges that nobody talks about.

I have mentioned it already, they have delisting conditions and those delisting conditions are usually taking some time before they are applied, they don't remove any coin as soon as they drop to those levels, they let them have a bit of time and delist it afterwards. Just to give an example binance has 1 month period, if your coin goes under the delisting conditions and stays there for 1 full month they will delist you, of course its a lot easier for smaller places that list idiotic coins because their conditions to delist is a lot smaller, like 1 btc per day volume and even sometimes just 3k dollars volume per day, even when its that much lower, they do not delist you right away, they give you some time. All those coins with very low volume you see will be eventually delisted, just takes some time.

For the next week I have done my due diligence again and would like to share with you all what my strategy suggests.

Leicester vs Chelsea, Vardy will return this game if I am not wrong, dude is a great scoring machine and he was feared to have a bad injury but turns out nothing big, so he will be playing and I am sure he will score again. Newcastle vs Norwich, Michael Owen will sco.. ok ok joking, this game sounds like a 0-0 if I ever seen one but if anyone will score I doubt we would be shocked, like it could be ANYONE, I gave it to shelvey but it is really not a good game to bet on.

West Ham vs Brighton, another game that looks 0-0 as it gets, Maupay is a decent enough scorer that he might actually get one. Bournemouth vs Aston Villa, Jack Grealish, and Deeney for Watford again, Martial for United if Rashford won't play (check it when closer to game date), Aguero for City game. Check all of them for injury when it gets closer of course.
3637  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Investing in Alts instead of Bitcoin for far greater returns (or losses) on: January 27, 2020, 05:49:50 PM
Aren't we all taking a bit of a risk here? Wasn't bitcoin essentially build around people who took risks as well? I am not saying you should do it, if you feel you would be doing something too risky maybe this is not for you however what people are doing is not weird, it is what bitcoin was build upon.

When Satoshi Nakomoto first created bitcoin, only a handful of people knew about it, with time it got wider audience and even started to worth some money and one day it went to 3 dollars per bitcoin, people were really shocked but wanted a taste of it, nowadays that bitcoin worths close to 9 thousand and was once 20 thousand dollars each. Top 20 is not the bad horrible coins, sure there are some like bch and bsv or even xrp if you ask me that are scammy and shady but the legit ones are actually trustworthy coins that worths the risks.
3638  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 NBA Season on: January 27, 2020, 03:23:34 PM
He just had waaay too much left in him that he could give both to his personal life and family but also to all of us as well, this dude didn't went into hiding after he retired, he kept on working on multiple stuff and kept being in public eye, he was still guests in late night shows and still gave us plenty of dreams, it was way too early for him to leave like this, not the helicopter he loved so much that he took tens of times every single year, just one pilot mistake shouldn't worth this much punishment.

I remember when I was just 11 years old me and my friend both played 1v1 every day for hours and we tried to mimic our favorite players, he was Iverson and I was Kobe and they played against each other in the finals but we played in the streets, now I am 30 years old and I still have only one jersey in my life, never bought another jersey, never had anyone else in any other sport ever, the only time I ever bought a jersey was to celebrate his move to number 24, been wearing that since this morning, can't believe he is gone, it feels like a surreal dream that I will eventually wake up from but it just keeps on going.

I hope his family will be better, this is probably the saddest news they will ever have in their whole life, there will never be another news as horrible ever again, they need both friends and family with them but probably some professional as well to get through such a huge tragedy.

Ah damn I forgot to play on majestic this week,
There is no Premier League football this week so you didn't forget anything.
The FA Cup is being played this week.

The next round starts with Leicester- Chelsea on 1 February. Don't be late!  Wink
Awesome news!! I like making predictions with my no premier league knowledge at all Cheesy I didn't even know there was no games this week as you can see Cheesy.

However, putting it all on a strategy made sure I was making predictions like I know the game Cheesy I read on this topic about someone who bet on the favorite team to score and the highest scorer of that team to score, so I just do that every week I can remember to do and it feels like I understand football Cheesy. I know I have no clue about the game and I am not really an expert on it however thinking like "Arsenal vs Norwich, Auby to score" does sound like an actual decent prediction even a football expert can probably say. Sure people look at forms and even morals of players on news and they are just much superior but this strategy makes sure you are not zero neither Cheesy

I will not stop saying this until enough people realize it : XRP. You may think just because its the third biggest coin or traders loving it or whatever reason you like it but you will never know enough about it as someone who has been in this space for over 7 years. Anyone in the crypto world knows why it was created and what was the purpose of it and nowadays people do not understand why other people dislike it.

XRP was created so that financial places could transfer money from place A to place B cheaper and faster, that was the only reason Ripple was created and why they created XRP. There is absolutely no reason for XRP price to matter, it could be less than 1 cent or could be 10 dollars and the purpose of it is still irrelevant to what is used for.
