Good ol glass of water.
3622  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Article: Apple Pay: a new frontier for scammers on: March 02, 2015, 03:36:59 PM
Government-controlled fiat is a bad idea, and shifting the centralization to private companies doesn't fix anything but merely compounds the problems. When will people learn?

Bitcoin isn't exactly immune from scammers either. Any new technology is going to be exploited or hacked by thieves looking for their paycheck. Both people, governments and corporations need to be one step ahead and keep themselves as secure as they can.
True, but if I keep my bitcoin within me and don't put them in shaddy places I know everything will be ok.
You cant say the same about centralized currencies.
3623  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bill Gates 3 problems with BTC on: March 02, 2015, 03:35:25 PM
More nonsense from Bill. Gold fluctuates drastically especially recently. Does that mean all gold based monetary systems are crap? No it fucking does not.

The value of most things fluctuate but very rarely to the extreme that bitcoin does, but maybe this will change over time as bitcoin is still a new and experimental technology. I don't think we should be overly harsh on Gates though as he's been positive but cautious of bitcoin in the past and I'd rather have him talking about it than not or straight up verbally destroying it.

Bitcoin is still very experimental, let's see when it gets released. Also price doesn't matter as long as it works.
3624  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Yanis-Varoufakis-Greece, Bitcoin WILL save them from Europe. It won't be pretty. on: March 02, 2015, 03:33:09 PM
maybe Satoshi Nakamoto and Bitcoin technology is deus ex machina for Greek economy. I think in the next month we will see many suprises from Varoufakis and the greek goverment.
They don't have the balls needed to be insane enough to accept Bitcoin... the first that does it is risking a lot since its experimental.
3625  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Should Everything Be Decentralized? on: March 02, 2015, 03:29:46 PM
Decentralization should be on the Internet it self also .
Like http://maidsafe.net/ project for example of Kim Dotcom MegaNet project . so yes everything should be Decentralized .

Maid safe is the real shit. Kim Dotcoim is an opportunist, his stuff is not as legit.
Im going 75% in when the price goes back to 5000.

Do dogs use Bitcoin?
3627  Economy / Economics / Re: Help me invest 50btc? on: March 01, 2015, 04:04:23 PM
invest into 10k coin  Cool Cool

Invest into 10 K what ? If its altcoins, then I would advise against it.

i think there is a coin called 10k coin or something

i would suggest to invest in something else, altcoin scene is too dangerous

There's a coin for every single word and number ever created. There's billioncoin too. I got a lot of them. Unfortunately it seems its useless now.
3628  Economy / Economics / Re: Gates Foundation: "Mobile banking will help the poor transform their lives" on: March 01, 2015, 03:59:51 PM
For a bitcoin noob, right now its a lot like when email was in it's infancy. You couldnt just make a sample@whatever.com email address. You had a string of numbers. As people developed the architecture, it got easier to use and spread like wild fire. The same will happen to bitcoin. The foundation will remain the same, but it will become more and more user friendly. Bill Gates is saying "the foundation is great, but right now it has a few hurdles to overcome before it's mainstream".
3629  Other / Off-topic / Re: How did you find Bitcointalk? on: March 01, 2015, 03:57:12 PM

Yup, it shows up at the top, nice SEO by the developers of this forum, they get tons of traffic.

It's happening.

Nemtsov was a radical, there is no way he would have ever been president. The woman he was with was a Ukrainian fascist from Kiev.

This man had to die, and so will anyone else who wants to create revolution in Russia!

The statement is pretty loaded and can fire both ways. What exactly are you trying to imply by it? Also, some proof about that Ukrainian woman being a fascist, please? I have no idea what her identity is, so I am curious.
Somebody joking that she is a prostitute. Cheesy

But actually she's 23 years old model. I don't know very much about her political views but she was in close relationships with Nemtsov.

23? she looks 50. And whats going on with that photo? whats the backstory? russians are so weird.
3633  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What if all possible bitcoin wallets are owned? on: February 28, 2015, 11:46:37 PM
I believe the op didnt mean what if we now exploit and use up all addresses, but rather in future, since we all imagine that bitcoin will still exist then.
With advancement of technology, i ackgnowledge the scenario where it is possible for some advanced computing to create this problem.
But what u fail to realise is that bitcoin will also advance, and will walk around any issue we may have, and for now its impossible for that to be a problem

cheers

No advnced computers can bring up such a problem as of now

Read what i wrote before commenting please. I did not say that there can be problems with this issue now.
I said that in the future (you you know how fast computer industry is evolving?) its quite possible that some issues like this may come to light.
Ofc, bitcoin will adapt and counter anything that prooves itself to be a problem, nothing is hard-coded. (xcept 21 mill coins limit)

cheers

Based on the Moore's law, computer's speed will not double anymore after at most 2020 which it would then grow at a slower rate. I don't see this happening in the future since it would require a lot of power and cooling if such a machine is built.

You can change anything in the protocol if you do a fork but that would require everyone in the network to switch to the version you created. You can technically change the 21million BTC limit or anything else but the whole network needs to agree or a fork will happen.

It will be exciting to see if Moore was right or not. I tihnk he isn't right tho.. we'll see technology still doubling for a while.

2015 Gates Annual letter

"Mobile banking will help the poor transform their lives"

http://www.gatesnotes.com/2015-annual-letter?lang=en&page=3

I keep hearing this, but he never says Bitcoin, just "mobile banking". What a jackass, he should just deal with it and start adopting Bitcoin, we dont need shitcoins.

I also keep seeing this, and up to this day, I don't understand what "mobile banking" is he referring to, There are no clues as to what he means when he says "mobile banking."

Bitcoins? Probably not--at least for him.

He means something like bitcoin but:

1) regulated
2) centralized
3) non anonymous

aka crap.

My take is this guy is investing hard in Ripple and about to pump it.
3635  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will Facebook will Accept bitcoins in future? on: February 28, 2015, 11:43:45 PM
Yes they will, I cant wait to have the Bitcoin logo useable as an official smiley.
3636  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Something big for Bitcoin coming April 15th on: February 28, 2015, 11:42:46 PM
is it related to the Kim Dotcoin announcement?
3637  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: One of Satoshi's BTC address on: February 28, 2015, 11:42:19 PM
People are tipping for blockchain advertising or hoping that satoshi will send them back some chips.
Yup people tend to check these addresses because they are famous and embed messages with their stuff for marketing.
3638  Economy / Speculation / Re: For people still in denial about willy on: February 24, 2015, 06:57:12 PM
i hope, it come again and rise the price to 2k at the very least

but i think it was helped by chinese, or maybe was a chinese bot?
We'll not need willy next time. People will naturally come in as the objectively inferior payment methods compared to Bitcoin continue scamming their lifes.

The future is decentralized: Decentralized electric batteries and generators, decentralized maidsafe internet and decentralized bitcoin currency. Get in now or suicide later after acknowledging you missed the boat.
3639  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will it hit $1000 again? on: February 24, 2015, 06:53:32 PM
Have anyone given the thought that few more halvings can actually reduce the amount of new coins to the market and that supply is now much lower than the demand... and this coupled with ever increasing higher adoption rate. I don't know but i see every possibility as we progresses further
If bitcoin succeeds, a price increase is inevitable, it's basically cause and effect, thats why so many people is holding long term.
3640  Economy / Speculation / Re: Buy NOW or miss out! .... LOL? on: February 24, 2015, 06:50:21 PM
Never risk too much if you have in mind going long term when trying to time a perfect bottom, you may miss a lifetime boat.
