You will have to count how many two week periods you have posted in. You can see the dates of the periods in this spreadhseet: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/12saLhlUoqIdairxzuSPu6EYGrt7FN2lOstO1yDjCEbA/edit

Tedious work but that's the only way you'll know currently.

Also, whilst you haven't stated you want to sell it I'm sure this is now likely given this thread you just created:

Thanks to merit system...i have lost all hopes now to rank up any way close to Sr.Member or even Full member ever...i think the users like me are in huge disadvantage now...because i dont think many users care about giving merit to anyone...i think if givers are 10 and recievers are thousands or even more in the ratio..even if some day i get lucky and some one give me merit...it will take many decades to reach Sr.Member like that...
Also the fact that a user can give only half the merit he recieved and all those concepts i think are huge disadvantage for a user like me...
I know this issue has been raised many times and i shared my feeling which is this is really unfair for all the users like me
3622  Economy / Reputation / Re: shdvb hacked? on: March 07, 2018, 01:26:16 PM
Interesting development, I sent shdvb btc here is the proof https://blockchain.info/tx/8f57ebd5326e350e2b41fb97f07a9f1e008d2cfc646f52cbf794679494fc323f, and I tell him we wait for 3 confirmations before he pays, then he says I will have to wait he sell the coins on okex before paying!!!! Very interesting indeed, it means he got no cash, just wanting to get your btc and trade with at okex, however, let's wait and see his next move, I'm enjoying this. At least this is an opportunity to prove whether this user is hacked and should be branded a scammer or not. I'm so patient, I'm not in any hurry.

I have the paypal balance. But thats not my procedue.Bitcoin is dropping i prefer sell fast.

Paypal received, but you should tell someone that you won't pay immediately but will have to sell their bitcoin first before sending them money, and trust me no one will agree to that. You should also indicate that your minimum trade is 0.1 btc like you told me on whatsapp, you should not wait for a seller to send you btc first then amend the terms of transaction. I think this should prove you not hacked though you need to improve on communication.

What exactly does this prove? It proves he can be trusted to return a paltry sum of money which would be worth him doing if he was up to something. I honestly don't know what's going on here - whether his account has actually been hacked or he sold his business to someone but something just doesn't seem right and is out of character.
3623  Economy / Reputation / Re: Can you still believe aTriz words? Reopened, too many open questions on: March 07, 2018, 01:23:18 PM
So why would aTriz take time out of his very busy schedule to test alia’s phony betting script?

Pussy probably. This whole alia shenanigans is proof positive that if you can convince someone you're a female people will let their guard down.

We all know for a fact that the alia group can be very convincing. If they could fool theymos, albeit, for a short period, they could have deceived aTriz or anyone else, no shame there.

Hardly fooled. Theymos was just confirming that she had been verified on girlsgonebitcoin or whatever it is. There is a woman involved in some capacity in the shenanigans - she's just obviously not in control of the accounts here and I think we've established it's just some scammer dude taking advantage of a bit of female flesh.

Still waiting on a trusted member to Skype me and interview me. Nobody has taken me up on my offer yet. Please don't spout bullshit if you do not have proof.

I've already said there's obviously a female involved in some capacity and that's been established. If I get my girlfriend/sister/mother/grandmother/girlnextdoor to do a skype session with a trusted member does that make me a female? No. How many camgirls are there that just so happen to be into bitcoin (and lending it), tax evasion and trying to flog gambling scripts? It's beyond a joke that you're even keeping up this rouse. I honestly don't know whether to pity or congratulate you at this point, but you've got bigger balls than I have that's for sure.

3625  Other / Meta / Re: Lets Make a new board/section for "Merit Discussion" on: March 06, 2018, 04:06:11 PM
Well the merit system is still pretty new but the talk and crying will hopefully calm down shortly once people get used to it or accept that it is here to stay. If we do create a new sub section maybe make posts in there not be meritable Cheesy. The threads about merit where people are really just trying to sneakily get merit are pretty blatant and annoying.

You've either A) Paid to whitelist yourself or B) have found a clear connection and are free to post normally so what's your issue? If you don't want to pay the evil fee then find a connection that isn't proxybanned. The fee is to stop bots and serial ban evaders from just reusing the same connection(s) over and over to abuse the forum. Stop crying about it and spamming the same message over and over isn't going to do you any favours and just lead to even more connections being banned.

If i find clear IP, and register account, and then in future i catch one of blacklisted IP, will i get banned again?
And what if someone "evil" will in future registered with the same IP like my new account, this make me banned?

No. It's just when you sign up. You can switch to tor or any other proxy connection once you've signed up. You or the connection will only be banned if you break the rules.

But it will not stop them from abusing at all. They can use more of clear IP's. To stop bots need to make registration more difficult, like Captcha do this.

And if they abuse them ones then those connections will also be banned.

3628  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Bitcointalk English Premier League pool betting Discussion Thread on: March 06, 2018, 02:56:01 PM
Did a quick search.  This looks like it's the most obvious choice:  https://fantasy.premierleague.com

And it looks promising too.  Tbh, I prefer playing this than the BBC prediction game (tho I would still play next season).  It looks a lot more fun imo.

I honestly never partook in one myself but I've been wanting to...

Ok. I'll get them both going at the end of the season.

Hey hilarious so will the Betting Pool V2.0 start next season? Because I am waiting to be a part of the pool ever since January and I don't have any idea when my pool will start.

Yes, there will be a new one for next season. I figured there's probably not much point doing the other one right now seeing as there's not many games left this season. As I mentioned above I will probably be doing two though: a smaller stake one and a higher stake one if there's enough demand for the latter and people can join both if they want.  I will send details out when this season finishes.
Yes that is understandable as fewer games won't be appealing for people as if a member got an lead in terms of points other members won't have a chance to catch up. So will you be calling off the old one which I am part in? Or will you consider it as the smaller stake as it only will cost us £20? So that I know when to expect a new thread or not.

Football Fantasy League seems to be fun and you can also count me in. But if both prediction and fantasy league will be open I would only go to prediction instead as Fantasy League games requires more time.

The v2 likely won't be going ahead because there's probably not much point given there's only two months left but those who expressed interest can just join in next season. Hopefully with those and current users and new additions the pool will be double in size. I'm sure since this one has been a success more people will be interested and I'll open it as soon as the season ends so we've got maximum time to promote it.
3629  Other / Meta / Re: way to minimize. spammers and low quality post on: March 06, 2018, 02:42:40 PM
My suggestion

hire a person/s whose job is to keep track of posts coming in each day

why?:
to focus on the daily posting to keep it in good standing. for the quality of every post that will appear publicly. We all know that the members of this forum are really increasing. so that we reduce the number of poor quality postings.

This is the campaign managers job (or should be). The trouble is most are either not doing a good job or doing nothing at all (which many aren't). This is something that should change and those that are either doing nothing or are clearly incompetent at running a campaign should face punishment. If there was consequences for lazy campaign managers or those campaigns not doing anything at all we wouldn't have even had to implement the merit system. Still not much will change if we continue to allow campaigns to advertise here which pay newbies and juniors along with everyone else regardless of quality. This is something that shouldn't be tolerated. Look at well-run campaigns like Chipmixer and tell me how much spam you see coming from their campaign. There's probably zero and if anyone was abusing it they would be kicked off but shitposters wouldn't even be allowed on in the first place. If every campaign was run like Darkstar runs Chipmixer then there wouldn't be an issue with spam at all here.
3630  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Does signature campaign really help to promote an ICO ? on: March 06, 2018, 02:33:28 PM
I know signature campagns exists on this forum for very log time . I was wondering , do they really help to promote ICO , i know they spend a lot of money to pay bitcointalk members to wear their singatures and make posts . Do they really make profit out of this ?

Of course they work and they're often both very effective and profitable. Half of the time I'm not even aware of 99% of these crapcoin ICOs until I see them advertised here by shitposters crapping all over the place; so yes, they're very effective. Also, often it doesn't cost them very much if anything at all. Most are paid out via tokens they've pre-mined themselves so there's no real cost to them. If you don't hire a campaign manager - which many don't - then there's no real loss at all. Many make sufficient money via their crowdsale so it's worth paying one anyway. The shameful thing is that it's counterproductive to them to have a manager who does his job because the more people posting = the more people who see their advert so it doesn't really matter about quality of posts either. This is something that should change though and they shouldn't be allowed to operate here in such a way.

^  What about if we do a fantasy league next season...?  That would be fun too.

We could do and I'd be willing to get one going but never partook in one myself. Are there any sites similar to the BBC we could use for free?

3633  Economy / Reputation / Re: Why is a Scammer (with two negs from DTs) still on the Default Trust on: March 06, 2018, 11:31:57 AM
I can't speak for why he only has two negative ratings, since I was inactive when that event happened, but there is some justification for keeping him in DT. Being in DT is just as much about leaving good ratings as it is about being trustworthy oneself. Mexxer has tagged quite a few people that deserve it, so his historical ratings are still add value. On the whole he is also pretty inactive; he is not actively trying to trade, nor has he left any questionable feedback ratings since he scammed. I'd argue it's a situation similar to xetsr who also scammed and is inactive, yet is still in DT because he has left a lot of good feedback. Ideally though, these two users should be removed and have their ratings re-done by someone else in DT who is still considered trustworthy. It would just be quite a lengthy process, so no one has done it as of yet.

Someone on DT could just go through their ratings and determine which cases only he has a left feedback and tag them. I don't think we should be leaving scammers on DT but I haven't looked into this case and like Quickseller said there seems to be no reference of the scam.
3634  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Bitcointalk English Premier League pool betting Discussion Thread on: March 06, 2018, 11:22:14 AM
As one of the new guys planing on joining next season I don't mind £100 stake but it could be a little high for most people. I would rather have 20 people playing at £50 stake than 5 people playing at £100. I saw you guys had a poll for seasonal or weakly payments, maybe it would be good to put up one for stakes as well.

I've already said I'll do both. I agree £100 may be a lot for most but £25 isn't much at all really and the more money put in the bigger the pot is. If I can get 5-10 users for the £100 I'll happily do that as a bonus league for people wanting higher stakes.

Crikey, I got murdered this week... 20 points two consecutive weeks and Top 5 slipping farther away. I should have stuck to "going with the bookies" on the big City and Utd games... though I suppose I wouldn't have predicted the tight win at Chelsea or the Matic winner at injury time. Even Liverpool couldn't score the extra goal I needed to get full points.

Predictions open for next week. Liverpool for a famous 3-0 win at Old Trafford to take them into 2nd place!

Man Utd have been just doing enough, not playing that well all season. I can't believe they’re in 2nd place still. Salah, Mane & Firmino are going to tear them a new arse hole on Saturday.

Lol. I hope so but maybe not away. United made a pretty impressive comeback last night from 2-0 down. Lets see how Liverpool do tonight in the Champions League. Hope they don't put out a b-team because of their hefty lead.

Crikey, I got murdered this week... 20 points two consecutive weeks and Top 5 slipping farther away.

I've had a couple 20 pointers and Steph only got 30 last week. Just make sure to make it up in previous rounds. A few good weeks with a lot of points could really shake thigns up at the top especially if the top five have bad weeks.
3635  Economy / Reputation / Re: What if bounty Manager very arrogant? on: March 06, 2018, 09:36:33 AM
There's nothing against being arrogant, though it would obviously be bad practice and campaign managers should have patience but so should participants on the campaign but it's hard to judge without hearing the full story, but this manager should probably be looked into. There's lots of scammers and incompetent people getting jobs as campaign managers right now and if you look at his feedback it's alleged he has a few alts that seem to engage in shady behaviour:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=239151 lorrylore
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=553644 namelessname
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=332981     hua_hui

hua_hui is also running the PolicyPal campaign but his alt lorylore is also on it as is his own account:

Which is against his own campaign terms:

Rules:

- No multiple accounts/farming accounts.

How many other alt accounts has he possibly given places to? Did they make the required posts etc?
3636  Other / Meta / Re: Rules how to give merits? on: March 06, 2018, 09:14:03 AM
Or get your accounts ban like them.

You likely won't be banned for merit farming but that user was banned because he has been farming hundreds if not thousands of accounts with bots in the Chinese section going on years and has already had hundreds banned, so he was banned for ban evasion but was caught or exposed because he was farming merit between his alts.

There is no rules.
If you got caught cheating the merit system
If there are no rules, how can you cheat the system?

I think most people will consider it cheating if you give out merit to alts for any old post. Merit is meant to be earned and was implemented to try stop farming accounts with shitposts, so I'd say just giving merit to your alts is cheating the system.
3637  Economy / Reputation / Re: Is this allowed? is it ethical? indian beggers or just scum bags? on: March 05, 2018, 04:32:46 PM
People are free to try offer better deals and services though often times they'll likely be much worse.
Offering better deals in this area almost always means offering horrible services.. I don't think it is fine to do this, especially not when the user was already hired. If you allow this, then you essentially allow users to do this out of spite; slippery slope here and there, you reject someone's entry in a bounty because of them being a farmed account: They attempt to get you ("legitimately; by offering "better" services") fired.

It's a shitty thing to do but not illegal. The only issue I would have is if you had a deal with a company and they got rid of you during the campaign just to save a bit of money. That would be a breach of contract.

I think there should be more scrutiny on new managers popping up to run campaigns because nefarious individuals are getting involved and successfully scamming money from people or siphoning off money to their alts, and then there's the shitmanagers who do absolutely nothing about spam and accept and pay for any old shit. If something had been done about these users we wouldn't have even needed the merit system in the first place.
3638  Other / Meta / Re: Trust spam report + suggestion on: March 05, 2018, 04:24:54 PM
Something should be done about blatant abuses but nothing likely will. Theymos is probably too busy to investigate and I don't think cyrus has the powers to remove it (though I could be wrong, but he'll also likely be too busy to do so)
Any reason why no other staff member can do that? I guess you asked that already. At least global moderator should be able to delete obvious spam. Logs can be enabled if theymos can make sure there was no abuse at some point, and I guess he fully trusts you

You would have to ask theymos that. The feedback system is meant to be unmoderated so there's that and I agree we shouldn't be removing every little bit of tit for tat feedback but people shouldn't be allowed to spam it or advertise their services there as per the rules, but as with a lot of things on the forum there's not enough staff to handle certain issues and a hands off approach is taken but it's this laissez faire attitude that often causes the most issues and frustrations amongst users (accounts not getting recovered, trust issues, sig spam etc).

I've had one on my hilariousandco account who went on a spamming spree in the past removed
Same here. Someone left about 50 trust entries from several accounts (of one single person) and they got removed immediately. I didn't even complain. I guess I was just lucky that time.

There was one guy ages ago who was spamming dozens of users including staff and I contacted theymos about it and he probably just blanket removed them all that the user sent. Maybe that was the same guy.

I've suggested before some restrictions should be put in place like maybe a user can only leave one feedback per day on a user (or maybe even longer - week, month etc). They can still edit the feedback with any additional updates but there's probably not many good reasons why people should be able to spam a users trust
I agree, absolutely. You didn't get any reply on that?

Probably not, but maybe theymos never saw it. I can't remember whether I posted it or PMd him it (or maybe both). I should probably bring it up again though.

3639  Other / Meta / Re: Trust spam report + suggestion on: March 05, 2018, 04:12:06 PM
So from what I gather, there's no good way to report these jackoffs?

You can try report them to theymos but it's probably a waste of both yours and his' time.

I think we should allow those that have received trust to write a rebuttal/response to any trust rating they receive.

I've suggested this before as well. People should be able to offer up comment on their side of the story in defence.
3640  Other / Meta / Re: Is merit system can be manipulated? on: March 05, 2018, 03:43:22 PM
Yes it can be manipulated, but please don't tell us who the user is so we can't investigate it. People who are found to be abusing the system will face the consequences.

Being an NNES myself

You are apart of the National Nuclear Energy Series? Wow.

This new system is unfair. I don't know and I'm just really upset with this new merit system. I only answer questions from people who cannot give me any merits, 'cause they're usually newbies or jr members like me.

Moderators, where's my motivation? When I'll become a member? Check my answers, what's wrong with them? Help  Cry Cry Cry Cry Cry Cry Cry Cry

What's your motivation? What was your motivation for joining the forum? Money probably, hence why you're complaining. Your motivation should be to contribute to the forum, but you've already got 7 merit, though it wouldn't surprise me if some of those have been traded. And you will become a Member when you have 10 merit, so it's not exactly out of reach.
