3621  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bought this stuff with Bitcoin, great way for people to become aware of Bitcoin on: January 18, 2020, 01:09:50 PM
Yeah, it is a good way to make people interested in bitcoin if you show or tell them that you can buy things from the internet or even some physical shop with bitcoin. But, they might have some counter questions, like they can do the same with with their credit card or fiat currency. It is your responsibility to give answers accordingly, like making them aware about the advantages and its benefits of using crypto currencies over fiat currency. Yeah, crypto currencies do have cons, make sure you let them know about this too.
3622  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is BCH, BSV more profitable than Ethereum? on: January 18, 2020, 01:00:37 PM
What ever you do, I wouldn't suggest you to invest on Bitcoin SV. Stay away from that coin. Just go through the crypto news and you will understand what I am trying to say. Everyone is almost certain that an Exit scam is about to take place. This pumping of Bitcoin SV is quite abnormal and most of us are almost certain that it is not going to end well. Stick will Ethereum if you want to stay safe.
3623  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is WPP Project finally scam? 60 Million USD for nothing? on: January 18, 2020, 12:51:12 PM
WPP was a very good project in 2018, their ICO ran for a long time and it reached nearly the hard cap 60 Million USD! The ICO price was 0.01 USD, but look at now, it's 0.00015 USD with  648 USD volume! Seriously? They did nothing promising till today! Partnered with some unknown project, making some good picture of their product with huge value! Where they said WPP token will be worth more than 1 USD! But when you ask these things in their official Telegram group, you will surely get banned, that Troy guy will do it if you ever ask about updates!

Another great project turned into shit again! So, What do you think guys about this shit project?
And yet people invest on these shitty projects just because they have a "great concept". Just because someone puts forward a mind blowing project does not automatically makes that project valuable. Even kids can give creative ideas, but have you ever given a thought if the kid will be able to execute the idea or not? The same thing goes for the ICO/projects. They can put forward all excellent projects and spur out all bullshits, but will they be able to achieve it?
Banning people just because someone had a doubt is just a dick move.
3624  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Will Reach $400,000 After Halving, History Dictates on: January 18, 2020, 12:47:18 PM
Much of the conversation around predicting the price of Bitcoin through 2020 and beyond hinges on the effect of the Bitcoin mining reward halving set to take place in May will have. Some believe it will have no effect at all, while others are betting big on this. If history is to be taken into consideration, Bitcoin should reach a new high of $400,000 following the event.

Following the first halving in November 2012, Bitcoin’s price increased from a $2.01 bottom to the top of $270.94 – a 13,000 percent increase. The second halving, in July of 2016, saw Bitcoin go from a bottom of $164.01 a top of $20,074 – a similar increase of 12,000 percent.

To read the full article, go here

Would you actually believe the halving would make this possible? Or is it just another unsure prediction?

Look guys, I am not a fan when it comes to predictions. Of course, the analysts can predict all they want. However, there is no such thing as guarantees that $400,000 would actually be an ideal amount after the halving event in May. Not even an all time high of $20,000 would be possible.

But I could be wrong too. Who knows? We just have to see if $400,000 per BTC would actually happen after the halving. However, it’s not good enough to save John McAfee’s d***!  Grin

This is just another bullshit prediction? You seriously think that bitcoin will reach almost half a million in value after the halving takes place? Lol, that is plain stupid. Everyone can show up some numbers and make it look like that the price of bitcoin will boom. But listen, you are talking about a halving that took place in 2016 and then the price skyrocketed at the end of 2017 and that was just short lived until the price sunk down really low. I don't want this kind of sky rocketing to happen to be honest and it is highly likely that it will happen.
3625  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Anyone here dream of achieving their financial goal in life through gambling? on: January 17, 2020, 09:33:13 PM
For people who does not have enough income to live a comfortable life, we try to find ways to end the struggle, we take big risk to gain big rewards so if we will be successful, we don't need to work anymore and just enjoy the rest of our life doing the things that we can't do due to lack of money.

are you one of the people who dream like this?
Well, those who do not earn enough to lead a "comfortable life" should never turn to gambling to fix everything. This would be a plain stupid thing to do. It is more like a one shot thing. If they win (which is unlikely cause the casinos always have a edge over their users), they can lead a good life (and probably get addicted to gambling thus making their life far more worse actually). But if they lose (which is highly likely), they are going to suffer more and then break down.
There are million of other ways to make money other than gambling.
3626  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How do you know if a gambling site is scam or not? on: January 17, 2020, 09:17:17 PM
If the owner is showing his identity then we may not fear as if they will scam us then we will file a case against them and the government will punish them. If they will show their identity then they will know about the result of their scam so they will be legit for lifetime. We also have to see if the site have a public chat or not as in there we also get the info about the site. Searching o google about its review is also beneficial.
Lol, never heard of projects where the developers weren't anonymous but still scammed their investors and no one could do anything? They didn't scam them directly, but in such a way that they couldn't even be held responsible. "Showing your identity" does not mean that you won't be scamming anyone. People can use fake identities to scam people. Again, if the casino/cryptocurrency is not regulated in that country, then filing a case against them is totally useless. The law enforcement won't be able to do anything.
3627  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Amount Of Available Dice Rolls Per Day on: January 17, 2020, 09:13:57 PM
Have you tried crypto-games.net? If you haven't then give it a go! They have the auto bet function which has a lot of features/settings which you can set according to your own needs. This is one of the best integrated auto bet feature so far I have seen. You can set different options like on win/loss increase bet size or decrease it. You can also switch between high and low after every bet. And yeah, the roll limit is 200,000 rolls! Exactly what you have been looking for.
3628  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which coin do you prefer to hold for more than a year? on: January 17, 2020, 08:14:16 PM
If it is for long term holding (like more than a year), then yeah, I would go for coins like you are holding. Bitcoin would be on my top list. This is the first crypto currency and when anyone hears about "blockchain" or "crypto currency", the first thing they that comes to their mind is Bitcoin. Since it is really well known and widely used, the price of bitcoin is bound to increase in the long run. For other coins, I would split my investment and go for ETH, LTC, Doge and other well known coins.
3629  Economy / Economics / Re: New Hampshire bill to allow taxes to be paid in Bitcoin falls short on: January 17, 2020, 05:32:02 PM
Unfortunately this is true, we all want cryptos to be accepted in every place on earth but we are not using this kind of payments
Is this case I think it's very specific and people don't want to risk something so serious and do some mistake, but if we want places accepting BTC we have to start using BTC as a payment right now
How come you are so sure that most of the people are not using this kind of payments? Are we to be blamed or is there some kind of fault in the system for which people are reluctant to use it? We should first find out what the real problem is, why are people hesitating to use crypto currencies as a form of payment and then solve this problems. This way we will be able to open up the world to crypto currencies and then people eventually will start using crypto currencies as payment as we get rid of the current underlying problem.
3630  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What bitcoin ideas do you have? Share it! on: January 16, 2020, 10:24:46 PM
If you just want to promote bitcoin then fo as you can specially to the people who doesn't know what is bitcoin and blockchain. But you should at least tell them the pros and cons of having a bitcoin because it's just too risky for someone who doesn't have a single knowledge about of the bitcoin and cryptocurrency.
I don't think people will have to pay someone if they really want to know something nowadays because internet is the main source of most of the information that we have to know.
Like you said, the internet has vast source of information. People can easily google stuffs and get what they really looking for. But, yeah due to vast information  it is really hard to know which of those information is legit on the internet and which of those are just lies/wrong/fake. That is why you still need peoples help when researching and analyzing. At least they can point out the exact place to find out what they were looking for.
3631  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: eToro Plans to Launch Its Own Debit Card in 2020 on: January 16, 2020, 09:55:35 PM
Yeah, that is great, but do we really need a crypto "debit card"? If banks get involved with a crypto currency, that currency no longer remains a decentralized coin. Again, if you will be adding funds to your debit card, you will have to transfer your coins to that debit card. This means that you will no longer be the sole owner of those coins. You won't also be using your crypto currencies for making transactions. All you will be doing is convert your crypto currency to fiat currency and then spend it. I see no difference between this and a normal debit card issued by a bank.
3632  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will Bitcoin Get Its First Price? on: January 16, 2020, 09:02:31 PM
Today, the price of bitcoin is going up and down. Many are saying that the price of Bitcoin cannot reach $ 20,000 now.
That can be the right thing to see. This is the reason why Bitcoin has been locked in several countries. The only way Bitcoin can be priced in its true state is if the countries where Bitcoin is closed are removed. Did I say right?
By "locked" you mean usage of bitcoin being illegal/banned right? Well, those countries can actually pass laws to make usage of crypto currencies illegal, but they won't be able to stop the people. It is like pirating movies, games, software and digital contents. These stuffs have been made illegal, but people are still managing to do it through p2p torrenting. Similarly, countries have made usage of bitcoin illegal, but I bet most of the people over there who knows about crypto currencies are still using  it. If every countries actually make the usage illegal, the price might start to rise, but it won't skyrocket.
3633  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto history making year 2020 started it's journey ! on: January 16, 2020, 08:33:14 PM
2020 is another year of a crypto journey either it is great or just another bear season again. But because of the upcoming halving events, it seems that this year is full of hopes and surprises. Looking forward to how this event could help to build strong support and could drive the market into a better one.
Though I still doubt that we can make another ATH this year but I'm still confident that we can move high more than a thing that it happens last year.
This year will be really filled with positive events and a large number of updates, and therefore people have great hopes that the prices for cryptocurrencies will start to grow fast, but we all know that price is manipulation and when many people expect growth, then most likely we will see another bear year
What updates are you exactly talking about? What positive events? I haven't heard of any. Care to tell me? Are you talking about the bitcoin halving that is going to take place? Then, yeah this "event" might cause the price to rise due to people thinking that the supply of bitcoin is going to reduce by half, thus causing more people to invest on bitcoin. Following the price of bitcoin, other coins are also rising. Not sure if we are going to reach a new all time high. But I really hope this does not happen. Instead a prefer a slow and steady rise.
3634  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How can we overcome our gambling addiction! on: January 15, 2020, 10:08:45 PM
There's a story that my mom told me, it's about my uncle who once became a gambling addict that there comes a time where he sold most of their things in their house just to find money to gamble. The worst thing that my uncle did is to pledge their house just to satisfy his gambling pleasures.

I know it's not easy to overcome this situation especially when you're already in your point that you want to get back everything that you have lost. You keep on gambling thinking you can earn everything back. Actually, we're already lucky enough if we continuously win the game but even our luck has its own limitations. Without noticing it, our wins are slowly turning into losses.

I also know that some of us here will just put their attention on different things to avoid too much gambling. But in reality, it's just easy to say but harder to do. There's no easy way if you really got attached to gambling. But in your opinion or personal experiences, how do you overcome your addiction to gambling?

Just get help. Let your friends know about your addiction. Tell your families and your close ones the problems and sufferings you are facing due to gambling. They will help you!
Don't just go to the internet and take advice from random people. There are centers out there that helps people with compulsive gambling disorder. Get yourself admitted over there and let them treat you.
3635  Economy / Speculation / Re: How much can bitcoin cost in Future. on: January 15, 2020, 09:58:58 PM
Maybe few cents or maybe millions of dollars. Who knows? The price of bitcoin in the future cannot be predicted. If every government in the world decides to ban the usage of bitcoin, the price of the crypto currencies will be affected very badly. Again, if the world legalizes the usage of crypto currencies completely, then the price of the crypto currencies will sky rocket. Now, you never know, if any of these are actually going to happen or not. So, you can't predict the price. But, yeah, for now, in the long run as more people starts to use crypto currencies, the price of it will also increase.
3636  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling with Fiat or Crypto? on: January 15, 2020, 09:16:06 PM
It will always be crypto and even in the near future I didn't intend to use fiat in online gambling. One explanation is the rule. There's no specific law in our country regarding crypto gambling, so I'm pretty safe from regulation, despite how much I've played or earned. I'm still unfamiliar with using fiat gambling site. What if they need KYC that I'm ignoring or they're unlawfully operating that might smear my clean reputation. So when you have online gambling operation, choosing crypto is the best thing to do.

Rule? That does not explain anything and why you want to use crypto currencies. Yeah, since there is no specific laws, you might end up doing something illegal in an unknowing way unintentionally. Too bad, it is no longer safe from regulation. Most of the online crypto gambling sites are now being forced to collect user information and make users go through KYC due to regulation.
You should always read the terms of service first of a casino before you start playing over there.
3637  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Cryptocurrency will not replace fiat currency on: January 15, 2020, 07:25:22 PM
Look at what happening around. The first cryptocurrency bitcoin was invented to reduce the hassle of third party and have borderless transaction. Isn't it true? Now, look at what happening. People are more into investing it than using it as currency.
Most interesting is people are most interested in coin which give more ROI, they are not interested in the currency-ish of a currency.
For example, some people are talking a lot about BSV, but if they have some research, they will never take it as currency, but as this is giving a good return now, it's best for them. Why man? Why don't we look into a decentralized coin? Why do we only take it as investment? Did Satoshi ever take it as investment? Or he invented Bitcoin for borderless payment and solution to the intermediaries problem?
Crypto currencies might be able to replace fiat currency but, yeah it won't be bitcoin or any of those current altcoins (or maybe there are some altcoins out there that are suitable for using it as a currency). By replace, I don't mean that they will completely replace it. Both, crypto currencies and fiat currencies will be used side by side simultaneously.
People are using it as a form of investment because they believe that in the future everyone will use crypto currencies, thus making them valuable.
3638  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is the safest way to buy crypto? on: January 15, 2020, 07:19:26 PM
in my opinion binance exchange is the safest exchange at the moment and also binance exchange does not require user's personal data if cryptocurrency withdrawals below 1 btc
Are you sure binance does not require users to go through KYC process? As far as I remember, users must submit full documents and must be verified before they can actually buy crypto currencies with fiat from binance. Also, sometimes bank transactions get held/frozen and that becomes quite a hassle. The fees are also insane. The best way to buy bitcoins or any crypto currency is through p2p transaction. Use localbitcoins for that.
3639  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Top 5 cryptocurrencies to invest in 2020 on: January 15, 2020, 06:46:28 PM
I am not a fan of posts with links that would redirect me to another website. Why don't you just put the list of your top 5 here? If I am to invest based on your list, will you give me a refund if I lose funds? Just asking.
Because he is just trying to advertise his blog/newsportal/website. He wants people to click it and increase his site traffic. Why will he be giving you refunds if you make losses? This is just plain stupid to be asking for refunds just because you made a loss based on his suggestions. If you just blindly follow and invest based on his suggestions, then you are to be blamed for your losses. Do your own research and then invest.
3640  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What's in the game, after all? on: January 14, 2020, 10:23:08 PM
Gambling was actually made as a form of entertainment along side with risking your money for a chance of winning. The thrill it self of risking your money maybe enjoyable for some people, not to mention the unexplainable enjoyment or the feeling winning a bet brings. This might be one of the reason why people gamble.
Yeah, this is one of the reason why people gamble, but is not applicable for everyone. Only those who have shit loads of money or can afford to lose a lot gambles for fun and doesn't care if they lose their money or not. The thrill and excitement of winning gives them adrenalean rush which they really enjoy a lot. Again, most people gamble to make some money real quick. Their main intention is to grab some quick profit over night. But unfortunately, most of the people just ends up losing everything.
