Gambling and trading is just a part of benefits of bitcoin on which it is being used as a payment option and i could really say that it really gives us convenience and bitcoin isnt created just for those purposes only but there are lots of it and if it will be adopted even more then we could really see that it is included in most payment option its either on online or offline.
It's great because everything works so fast (except confirmation time). You just send it and in a second it's in your account on the gambling website and on any other website that accepts Bitcoin and you want to deposit on. Trading.. I don't think it's very popular with Bitcoin, the most popular feature is gambling. It's probably the most used one.

Nothing that special except the fact that I found this forum and the way you can earn money through signature campaigns. I had a good year and the best thing is that I finally have over half a Bitcoin saved up, after spending all I had when the price was low. I'd say it's just another year for now, maybe the next one will bring up higher prices making it more special.

For me gambling is a game. That's pretty much it, but a game in which I can earn something out of it too. I don't play with my own funds so I don't have what to do. What I love the most is that you are in a community, not solo. So you are also entertained by others or helping some people who have lost a lot and cheering them up.

My problem is I still didn't find a way to turn my BTC to fiat money quickly and anonimously whenever I need to .
Any good suggestion ?
No point in exchanging btc to fiat if you want to be anonymous, and there is no 100% way to exchange btc to fiat anonymously. There is. You can meet up with someone wanting to buy Bitcoin locally, or if you want to be even more anonymous you can just go to a local ATM and do it. There is no need of banks or ID to exchange it, maybe only for big sums. Buying Bitcoin with fiat is way easier, there are many more ATMs that do this.

Some countries are just not suverein and have to listen to the outside forces. If those forces dont like bitcoin, those poor country have to start bitching about bitcoin. They can only bitch about it. But its enough to keep their master happy. The world we live in is extend and pretend, so as long as everyone is pretending on anything that matters its ok. For now.... Until will not.
They want globalization, but I guess Bitcoin is not the best way to do it because of its anonymity. They want us in control, not to be free. We're living this globalization process moment and we have to somehow stop it, because it's just against us. I do believe Bitcoin will be adopted by many more people in the next few years, becoming a free way to spend your money without anybody else knowing about it.

I almost never hear anyone talk about Bitcoin where I live. Very few people know anything about it. We still have a long way to go before it is mainstream.
From all the people I met, the only ones who knew about Bitcoin were the investors. You cannot really know anything about Bitcoin if you don't work as a trader or at least look at the charts to see the prices' evolution day to day. We need more advertisement. By the way, I heard there is an anonymous millionaire wanting to invest $1M in Bitcoin ads next year. That would be awesome.

You either exchange it with a friend or go to Local Bitcoins. But if you want to transfer through bank wires, your anonymity will be over. Your bank is linked to your ID so transferring money to Bitcoin is going to leak all the data about your wallet(s) to the bank you're going to complete your transaction with.

The one with the weakest security. I don't think I can predict anything as soon as I do not have info about each websites' security. A cheap website can be hacked very easily, so you better rely on more popular websites. However, at the same time it's not a good idea because the most popular ones usually got the most money, so are the best targets for hackers.

It won't be replaced, but Monero will probably start an interesting rally with it. We're looking at a very big increase in such a short time: 25% in one day. A few months ago it had reached 0.02BTC. I'm wondering whether the price will get close to Bitcoin or not soon - especially with February coming, when a huge black market will be opened again for Monero after it's been closed this autumn!

Somewhere while surfing I read popular sites often makes less known sites use the money to pay first then scam and then continue on the popular sites. Could this also be happening in the Bitcoin industry. Start a roll dice or casino, open a hyip and then hyip goes scam and front site continues, no one comes to know. Or this is purely speculation, none of this happens?
Ponzi schemes. Just like a HYIP site only those who are first will be paid and sadly those who joined late got scammed. Many sites does that, that's why we have trust issues on a site, we need assurance that they will last long. But nothing last forever aight? so that's why we need to be wiser than anyone. When you join a HYIP site just predict when will they run. And withdraw all your balance before they run. They are here because they know nothing can happen to them. Bitcoin doesn't appear in the laws or Constitution, so we can do anything we want. There were many cases in which the FBI or so didn't know how to find them, so the chances of finding that guy is close to 0. I'm always skeptical when it comes to these kinds of websites. Always read reviews.

If you can then you have to start a blog or any website and work for that blog the most and collect and provide interesting contents on that blog and increase its traffic so you will earn a good income from that blog by showing advertising banners on there.
There are some people earning thousands a month, or if really popular then even weekly through blogs or vlogs. Each of us is reading or watching them, but YouTube beats all the others in my opinion. However, you need to be charismatic to join YouTube and earn a living out of it, or have a crazy idea that will get viral. But speaking about Bitcoin, Anonymous Ads is probably the most popular Bitcoin ads provider existing around, they don't even require any type of ID.

It doesn't for now, but I think it will have a few competitors pretty soon: Monero, Gold and Silver. I think this will happen because of the recent events that will affect them and their prices, probably in a positive way. The economy is going down worldwide, heading maybe to something like 2008.

Hello guys ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif) How many bitcoin ATMs do you have in your country? Here in Portugal there's only one in Lisbon! Do you think there should be more in your country or are sufficient? We have around 14 bitcoin ATM in our country (Europe), but the rates are not very good and there are also buy/sell day limits set on the machine, so I don't think they are widely used. I believe bitcoin users usually use different ways how to earn or convert fiat to bitcoin, than the ATM machines. ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif) Europe isn't a country! ![Cheesy](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif) Probably the biggest disadvantage of using these ATMs is the high commission they take. The lowest one I have seen around me (hours away from my city) was 2.6% but now they rose it up to 3.5%. In my country the only ATMs we got are buying only.

I know there are wallets you can use from your phone too (there was a Linux system which had an offline wallet that could be used on other devices too), but I still prefer having a wallet for my browser for receiving my funds and cold wallets for storing the biggest part of my money there.

I'm not sure you can send money legally through Bitcoin in any country, but I'd say yes, it's better than Western union excerpt the fact that you cannot withdraw it from anywhere you want: you need special ATMs that accept Bitcoin selling. Bitcoin is anonymous, I'd use it to send money to my family or friends whenever I need to, only if I had where to spend it at.

No even tho I spend quiet a bit of time on Bitcoin I have never dreamed about it. Or maybe I have dreamed about it but I just do not remember it.
I also did not really dreamed about it, I think about the bitcoin a lot but I never dreamed once about the bitcoin itself. I think if you dream about the bitcoin its not even a good thing, I think its a form of stress to be honest although it also can be positive of course. I hope if I will have a dream about the bitcoin it will be a good one. The thread's title is funny lol, dreaming about Bitcoin is like dreaming about something you never heard of before... I guess you need to be really special to have a dream about it and then look for it and find out it's real.. Maybe someone had one, who knows? All I know right now is that I'm dreaming at this moment about Bitcoin's price skyrocketting. I can't imagine having tens of thousands overnight.. Maybe this is a dream that will really come true one day.

I heard some people saying they belong to the so-called Satoshi Nakamoto, but really nobody knows except the owner itself. That's a lot of money stored in there, and imagine how much it could turn into if one Bitcoin really gets to $1.000.000 per BTC.. 100.000BTC would be $100 BILLION dollars. Insane, but real....

This title made me curious and I just found out I can buy flight tickets with Bitcoin in my country too, this is amazing! The more services that accept them, the better! Only if Bitcoin was featured on these websites, so we could see which accept it. Who knows how many hidden ones there are around??

A hundred, fifty or twenty-five cold wallets. Just printing them out and storing them there, laminating them at home with some DIY sets and placing them somewhere safe. Because it's not a big object, a small piece of paper (you can even print it at half of its size to make it even easier to store) can be hidden anywhere safely and no thief will steal it.

I have seen many websites, big ones (like Valve's Steam) that have implemented Bitcoin but it didn't make any change. In order to see a change, they need to somehow feature it on their website. Instead of silently adding it as a payment method, they should promote that on the first page, with a big ad. This way we'll see more people coming in our community. Yes, we need websites like ebay but unless they will feature Bitcoin in any way, we will see no change.
