Denver Nuggets is +8.5, why? Are they weak enough as an opponent?

In the first round, Dallas was only +5.5 and now they are giving Nuggets +8.5? There must be something wrong here, could be an important player would miss this game but I think I'm still gonna take the Nuggets ML at 4.19 as long as they still have Jokic.
3622  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: BBC Sports Personality 2020 on: September 03, 2020, 11:10:33 AM
Do you know the criteria for choosing the BBC Sports Personality 2020?

Why Manny Pacquiao not in the list? I would put my bet on him regardless of the odds if he is part of it, and I'm just curious, what do you think is the reason why Fury is the heavy favorites?
Just to add small info to Kemarit's answer. BBC is a British broadcasting media company. If there will be this kind of awarding managed by another company or organization and the entries could be from any nationality, we may see Manny Pacquiao included in it.
But for now, we should focus on the nominees specific to their own athletes.

Damn, my bad, honestly, I know BBC is popular, I can see it on my TV channels but I didn't know its (BBC) meaning, haha..

Sorry guys, please just disregard my comments and question.

3624  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Oscar De La Hoya vs Amir Khan? on: September 02, 2020, 09:36:39 PM
I use to be a Fan of the Golden Boy in His time above the ring, always Betting for His side even sometimes he fought against my country man.
Not until when  he Faces Manny Pacquiao in which i changed sides because i see the Skills and ability of Manny that can Beat him bad and yeah it happens.

does manny Pacquiao lives or represent or your own country ? the boxer is famous compare to other local boxers .

its expected that you and your country mens are also going to vote for him but it does hurt a little when other local boxers fight for your country and you wont support them . this isnt only for the sake of money if we are bettors , we can skip betting for a while .

When it comes to betting and putting a sizable amount, the last thing I would look is, "is the boxer fighting for my country?", yes, it should be it because this is betting and betting is business, you don't look at that factor more, you look at the skills of the fighter and see if he has the advantage over the other.
3625  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2019-2020 betting on: September 02, 2020, 09:03:50 AM
Damn! That was some hardcore defensive game from Utah and Denver.
Is this a new record of the lowest scoring playoffs game 7?  Cheesy
Not sure but I won my bet on the under.
The line looks very strange, they are a high scoring team but the total was only 217, so I took the under and it was an easy win.

1st half was all Murray. 3rd quarter was all Donovan. 4th was some post-up big man game from Gobert and Jokic.
I had so much fun watching them.
Congratulations to the winners.

It's indeed a great game, no matter what team we bet that time, that's a lot of fun because they gave their best and games was only won by 2 points, if that last shot by conley didn't rim out, Jazz would be in the story now.
3626  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: GAMBLING SITE INVESTMENT on: September 02, 2020, 08:21:01 AM
If I understood correctly this is the annualized rate of return. But even for a year, 18% of profit is a lot - it is impossible to get such interest on a deposit in any bank. If bitcoin holds its ground, then fiat returns will be really impressive.

That's only for 17 weeks, of less than 5 months per OP's last update, not year, so how much more if he would continue investing for at least a year? Probably it would double his investment since that profit will also gain profit, compounded as we call it.

Then it's just WOW! When I read such success stories, greed starts to overcome me (I admit it honestly), but I still can't find the time (or rather the will) to make the same investment. On the one hand, earning in bitcoin looks guaranteed at a distance (the casino always wins), but on the other hand, there are risks plus the volatility of bitcoin itself ...
That's why you need to calculate the risk carefully, only invest in bitcoin when you are already sure of what you are doing.
Risk is always here the moment we convert our money to bitcoin and invest in a casino, but this risk is nothing if you will get a good reward in the end, and that is our aim as an investor, we are always willing to take the risk and just like a gambler, we only invest what we can afford to lose.
3627  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 NBA Season on: September 01, 2020, 11:04:15 AM
West can't complete the 1st round series yet, first it was Nuggets vs Jazz  went to game 7, now we have the OKC vs  Rockets.

What a wild first round, I'm very excited to watch the game 7 for Nuggets and Jazz tomorrow, may the best team wins.

Yeah right, the series extends to do or die game 7 showdown, all coaches are now preparing for best strategies
to counter every offensive attacks.
Anyone's ball game now, we don't know who will go to the next round as all of those teams are really trying their
best to adjust and take the spot.

In a do or die game, expect that they will give everything they have to win, otherwise, they'll go home and go fishing. lol.
Nuggets vs Jazz, I thought this series was already over when Jazz take a 3-1 lead, but man, this is getting more exciting, tomorrow is a war between the two.
3628  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2019-2020 betting on: September 01, 2020, 10:48:51 AM
Bucks and Heat are pretty equal after half time with them just trading shots and is now tied 73-73. So hard to see who will win and it being game 1 nobody really knows how they would match up with each other to be honest.
Even with the bucks as heavy favorites.

They might come back like they did against the Orlando, but Heat here is a different animal, and Butler is back, not feeling the injury anymore as he explode last night.

How about the OKC, I get a lot of bad comments about Westbrook.

They are saying, "westbrook get passed Rockets int he first round", hahaha.  Westbrooks making costly mistakes for the Rockets, the is BACK>  Grin

Both Bucks and Rockets loses their respective games.

Heat manage to limit Giannis offensive productivity while Butler in the other side really shows his athleticism bringing 40 points to lead the Heat with this victory.

Heat is a better team compared to the Bucks, their ball movement is pretty much evident that they trust each other.
Yes, they have Butler as their star,  but Butler is not a selfish star, he trust his teammates and that's the reason for their success now.

They are already in a 5 winning streak, including their current win.

Quote
Meanwhile with OKC, CP3's contributions and leaderships showed up and extend the series to the final do or die game.

If OKC will beat team, Rockets will regret for trading WB over Paul.
3629  Economy / Gambling / Re: Casinos Withdrawal Fees Rise | August 2020 🔥 on: August 31, 2020, 05:29:03 AM
Would there be any other ways for you to cash out? I see bitcoin and ethereum are the top cryptos that have a very huge transaction fee, and I think it also affects how casinos set their withdrawal fees. So if you have wallet address that caters altcoins in which withdrawal fees are low, you can do that, then use an exchange to convert it back to bitcoin. Perhaps, the process will take time, but atleast you lessen the transaction fee if your basis is in USD, or whatever fiat you have.

It's also important to consider the withdrawal fee in an exchange.
For example, if OP's local exchange does not support altcoins or specific altcoins offered in gambling sites, that would be a problem as he needs to exchange it to bigger exchanges and where he also need to withdraw the coin going to his local exchange, and that entails fee again.

At the moment, it's not only gambling sites that are increasing their withdrawal fee, I guess exchanges as well.
3630  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Oscar De La Hoya vs Amir Khan? on: August 28, 2020, 10:57:07 PM
Based on the skills and experience De La Hoya is indeed above its opponent but the ring has its four side and anything can happen though the odds is high for De La Hoya. Where can I place my bet for this fight so I can also enjoy watching the game? Anyway, I will also go for De La Hoya and hoping nothing serious can happen to him because of his age.

This match-up is just pure speculation and it's only Amir Khan who is calling Dela Hoya to fight him. IMO, this match won't push through so there will be betting odds for this one. Dela Hoya said he want a competitive fight, Sergio Martinez would be a good opponent for him.

So with that statement, does it mean he can't fight Amir Khan because the fighter is younger and active, while  Sergio Martinez  is 45 years old so he can give a toe to toe fight?

What i mean is that there is no contract yet for this match-up, no schedule or whatsoever. For now people are just speculating on who will win if they were to fight but if ever this would push through i will have Amir Khan as the favorite because he is much younger than Oscar and active.  He may have a fragile chin but Oscar's power is not like when he was young and he will have problem chasing Khan as the latter is more mobile than him. Just my opinion though but i would put my money in Khan if this would push through.

Of course I would also do bet on Khan if the odds are good, but if I'm getting like 1.20 or even 1.30 on Khan, forget about it, I would pick Oscar to win the fight, who knows this old man still has something to show and surprise the fans, besides, Khan is not as impressive as people think.

But you are right, all of these are still an speculation unless both fighters sign a contract and begin training.
3631  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 NBA Season on: August 28, 2020, 10:32:37 PM
Lots of talk about canceling the season now. LeBron storming out of a meeting while the Lakers & Clippers both agree to cancel the season is bad news. I understand not wanting to continue providing an unappreciative community with your craft, but as a fan I’m extremely disappointed. They feel ownership isn’t doing enough to address problems in the community though and perhaps think that withholding their contribution to society is their only recourse.
Before, I thought that it's just for this day's game but it's crazy to think that the petition wants it for the whole season, that's just nuts.

From the updates that I've read, there will be a voting system and so far the majority wants to play. It is unofficial but I'm looking closely to the news.
Yeah! Apparently, it was these two LA team (Lakers and Clippers) who was against the idea of finishing the playoffs. Read more here. Dunno what differences they would make from cancelling the whole game into this issue except from voicing out again  Undecided. And it seems it will last even longer because almost all of them are in favor of this boycott stuff.
There is the difference that they can make from doing that and as you can see it has moved a lot of games and feelings of the NBA fans and even the management.

Latest update --> https://www.nba.com/article/2020/08/28/nba-games-postponed-latest-updates-aug-28-file

It's official, games are postponed today, we will see if games would really resume on Saturday.

By the way, we have some good news for the Rockets fans, Russ is coming back in game 5, they need him to win this important game.

Russell Westbrook expected to return to Rockets lineup for Game 5
3632  Economy / Gambling / Re: Is it necessary to create an ANN thread? on: August 28, 2020, 12:34:04 PM
And having an ANN thread will give a casino a chance to insert thier links in the pages, more like a backlinks for them too which is what they would need to be visible on google. ANN thread is part of a marketing. It's not just an opportunity for a casino that should be taken advantage but true a shot to sucess if used properly.

A casino that won't be creating an ANN thread will not have the chance to rebutle the accusations against them.
Those are without a doubt interesting reasons for a casino to open an announcement thread but without a doubt both of them are valid, by creating an announcement thread here in the forum they are going to increase their visibility to Google which is always a good thing of course because as we know Google is by far the most popular search engine.

However the second reason is even more important, we know that there are many gamblers that after losing some money will claim that they were scammed even if they lost their money fair and square, so it is important for casinos and quite honestly any service with deals with cryptocurrencies to have an announcement thread here in the forum in which people can post their complaints and then they can be resolved swiftly by the support team so they can clean their names in the case of being wrongfully accused of being scammers.
For a business like this then its no surprise that these accusations will pop out no matter how legit or fair the site was since there are really people who do accuse without having any proofs and with
that it can really somehow give negative view to the business.Having ANN threads wont really be just helpful in google searches but also putting up one on this forum will really give out
exposure into one of the largest crypto traffic in the market. So its just dumb for you not to consider up this place on not putting  or advertising your site on here.
You are targeting crypto market and its no brainer that this spot is sweet.

A competitor can create a fake accusation to ruin the reputation of legit sites and we've seen so many of those but there's no one yet get caught for that acts since anyone can create a dummy account here. And we can easily spot those guys doing that since majority of them just posting some words without providing a solid proof regarding on their claims.

And actually I agree with you since it could create a good benefits for the site owner to have a ANN here but still its their personal selection if its really necessary or not since if the site is good and the games are appealing for sure people will just come and play.

That's how some gambling sites play the game of competition, they can play dirty, and I believe that having a ANN thread would help them clear their names too as an ANN thread should not be limited to announcement only.

Competitors can create fake accusation but fake accusation does not win against the truth, and that would only make a gambling site popular if they can always depend themselves against any fake accusation.
3633  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 NBA Season on: August 28, 2020, 12:15:01 PM
Of course, when something bad happens outside they will all feel like its not working.
That, I disagree. It's working but not that fast. Some of those racists before may have changed the way they look at things now.
Honestly I don't think that racists change their view so quickly..

Problems there are too deep to be solved by players cancelling the professional leagues, issues simply won't be solved in a few months with players tweeting and talking about it in the social media. They didn't start overnight, and it won't be solved overnight. As i said, they might as well stop all sports for a few years until situation gets better, but I am glad to hear that rean prevail and season will continue, and if Clippers&Lakers don't want to finish, let them be.

I was a bit worried when Lebron and the Clippers does not support to continue the season, good thing I don't listen a lot to the hype of the media and now we hear some good news. So this is really it? can we see games tomorrow?
3634  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Verifying Provably Fair b.s. on: August 28, 2020, 11:54:42 AM
This was just discussed at one casino as well earlier today, I won't say names, but I think there is a misconception about what provably fair means. RNG systems that people respect and acknowledge aren't the same as PF. PF should mean you can verify on your own without relying on 3rd party sites.
That's what I am talking about. Provably Fair is very missleading, a large part of the players understands by it something, which is actually not meant and weighs itself in false security.
The problem here is that this can be exploited by casinos, which may scam their players(no payout of larger amounts, ...). It is enough to write "We are provably fair" on the website and you will get an unjustified trust advance.

Therefore I think OP has a point, do we have a 3rd party site that we can verify if the result of a certain site is really provably fair?
I'm still interested with it though I mostly focus on sports betting where it's not really necessary as games can be fix or not, I just have to be at the right side.

3636  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Legal Matter on: August 28, 2020, 09:44:13 AM
What do you guys think?
Should the government allow it more openly?

I believe that the government should allow gambling openly to take advantage of it especially the taxes.
It should not be a case to a country where people can easily get addicted, that's the reason why there are countries who ban gambling, in addition, we can also consider that some countries value their religion a lot and some religion especially Islam considered gambling is a sin or forbidden, correct me if I'm wrong.

In my country, gambling industry had contributed a great sum in building infrastructure and giving aid to those who are in need.  They also sponsor several charities.   Gambling Industry maybe frowned upon by some groups but it does help more  in terms of assisting those in needs than any religious group.

That's great.. but just like what I have mentioned, not everyone is open for gambling and they can still survive as they can get revenue from other industry.

Perhaps this project lacks more such partnerships, because it has been stalling recently.

Would this result to a pump?

It's been a while mate, been holding until now and it looks like per CMC the price is already dead with no volume or close to none.
Bittrex is their biggest market but they allow to lose that opportunity, don't know what to say, but hopefully miracle would happen with this project.

This token is dead friends, there is nothing you expect, Their Founder said they were not focused on the price they said that their focus was for the real world in terms of health and implementation was deceptive by raising funds from the sale of this junk token

I heard that many times, but if you are in my position that still holding some coins in your wallet, you might put a little hope on the project, and that's why I am currently doing. I already accept that there's a little chance, so I could also accept if I will lose it anyway.
3638  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Regulations in online Gambling sites on: August 27, 2020, 11:17:23 PM
You're forget about another reason: When addicted gambler can't play (due to regulations and restrictions) on legal online casino sites, then he using such decentralized platforms. Just to fulfill his unstoppable desire to gamble  Lips sealed
Which is not good and which is why regulation is necessary to help them.

If they will continue to gamble despite being irresponsible, they will become a problem to people around them, their family and friends and worst to the community, and seeing that possibility, government has stepped up with a regulation.

And i think that most of players is my type described above.

Addicted to gambling? Noh,
3639  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: GAMBLING SITE INVESTMENT on: August 27, 2020, 10:50:50 PM
Now this is a real deal, 18% woahhhh.. That's a great return for just that short period of time.

Can't wait for the next update, looks like as the market is bullish, your profit investing in a casino goes bullish as well.

3640  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Accepting Bitcoin for sales in a volatile market. on: August 27, 2020, 01:19:47 PM
Why should volatility be problem? If you are so afraid of the Bitcoin price fluctuations, than why not just sell your bitcoins for fiat, right after the buyer pays you with BTC for the domain name(after 3 confirmations).
If you ask me,BTC price volatility won't be your main problem.Your main problem will be finding buyers that are willing to pay for a domain name by using Bitcoin.
By the way,do you plan to use a crypto payment processor, like Bitpay or Coinpayments?
I think the best option is to have a crypto payment processor. There is one good thread about it that maybe can help the OP to decided in the future, Bitcoin Payment Processors. Volatility will also be present in crypto, it's just how you are going to manage or mitigate it.

The link might be broken, won't direct me to the thread.

Anyway, I think OP's business is not big enough to use a payment processor or a third party service, enough knowledge on bitcoin volatility would probably make him minimize the risk, and of course he can do it manually by trading on stable coins at the end of the day, or any period he likes too, besides volatility does not only mean you lose, you could also win on it, especially if the market is bullish.
