Cousins is not getting small contracts because he is not a good player, he is a great player, when he was healthy and playing well he was one of the best centers in the league and he provided both offense and defense to the team. Unfortunately dude just got injured too many times back to back to make him as valuable as he could be. So right now teams are paying him small amounts just so he could come in and play if he can, if he can't thats fine. I think if he gets healthy and plays a good year he will once again get a good contract, and maybe even a better one after that. However if he fails to get better and gets injured again for the next season he is probably done, not done as in playing career (which only he can feel like he is ready to do that) but more like contract money, if he gets injured and misses again nobody will take a risk to pay him ever again.

Again, that is the problem.
It's a risk. Put yourself in a team management perspective.
Are you willing to take that much risk just like how you explained it?
He is a great player there is no doubt about that.
But if you get injured most of the time how will you train?
Your health, your stamina are all going south.
https://www.si.com/nba/clippers/news/la-clippers-montrezl-harrell-nba-2k-crowd-noise

Here is a credible source for 2K sounds being used for the games.
I have read that too.
But it will be better if it comes from Fox, ESPN or better NBA itself.
3622  Economy / Speculation / Re: Collective Intelligence Effects on Bitcoin Price Value Predictions on: June 19, 2020, 05:49:20 PM
Voted for 10 to 20k USD.
I am not the pessimistic type but yet not the optimistic type when it comes to bitcoin price.
Some may say 100k or 50k but I dont see any reasons why they could predict way that far.

I think 12k should be the new bottom.
It's also to give room for profits with miners.
3623  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 NBA Season on: June 19, 2020, 03:15:03 PM

It's not really a big problem if they will get Cousins, he is not into a expensive contract anymore since his valued has dropped due to injury, but he can still contribute to the team, getting him doesn't mean he will be a starter,  if he is given a limited minutes as long as quality minutes for the team, I think he would be a great help.

His current contract with the Lakers now is only $3,500,000   .

https://www.spotrac.com/nba/los-angeles-lakers/demarcus-cousins-6886/cash-earnings/

But that is still some cap space which could have been used for a healthier player.  Cheesy
Maybe it's a good risk or maybe not.
It will depend on how healthy he will be for the next season.

Every team doesn't want to be spending money on a guy that will just sit down on the bench.
It will be unfair for other players who are working their ass with a lower salary than him.
Again it's a risk and besides, Wall will not decide for it.
3624  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 NBA Season on: June 19, 2020, 11:49:17 AM
Cousins would be a big help for the Wizards or no?
I think the Lakers already have good big mans, they have Howard who is still fully healthy until now, so they can let go of cousins if they want.

What do you think about this one?

There may be another great deal out there.
Dude tore his ACL. Yeah, take him but add an extra.
The injury could come back anytime and where would it leave the Wizards without him?
Chances of this being a large risk deal are high.

I don't know what is going on in John Wall's mind but ain't there any other options?
It's not that I don't believe in the skills of Cousins. It's the injury that I am concerned about.
3625  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Be nice to altcoins (meme I just made) on: June 19, 2020, 10:47:10 AM
It's a cool meme for the worthy altcoin.

I guess it is because of history and that is why many worthy altcoins are being dragged by the bad view on it.
You see scam left and right. If it is not scam then it is dust or just someone who wants to make money and attention.
I understand this which is why I am supporting some of the altcoins out there.

Reid I understand you, I don't think physicial casinos will stop to exist, that will never happen! But easy access is
good too, for older people like me. I don't wish to get out from the house, to get in the car and drive to casino, where I
can't drink and have fun because I drive. To pay taxi is unnecessary expense. I enjoy to play from home when I have
some free time and few dollars to spend on gambling.
Friendships are made in chat. I don't chat too much when I gamble, and not every online casino have chat, but
I read what they wrote, how they tip each others after some big wins. It's not the same, but it's something people
care about obviously.

It's great that it works for you.
It does with me too. I think what I am trying to say is something is missing.

Socializing personally. Sharing ideas on how to defeat the house. Teaming up.
In poker tournaments, I used to do that.
Teaming up with someone so that we will be the last 2 standing.  Grin
Those kinds which you could not do with online gambling. It's difficult to put it in words.  Grin
3627  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is More Popular Than Traditional Banks on: June 19, 2020, 06:51:59 AM
But bitcoin ain't a bank.
It is a currency.
The survey made the wrong comparison.
It should be BTC against USD or its own currency and digital currencies.

Bitcoin doesn't give an annual interest like banks. Yes, the price of it is moving now and you could make profits out of it but that means selling your bitcoin with a different currency.
3628  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 NBA Season on: June 19, 2020, 03:17:03 AM

I know 2K sounds would be not that cool, however the other option would be basically playing in total silence. I do not really think that would be a better option. There will also be bench players on both sides as well, which will have a big role to play, everyone on the bench has to make as much noise as they can as frequently and constantly as they can. That would make a difference, if your bench is silent and not saying a word while the other teams bench is yelling and screaming, you will be in a road game, if its vice versa its a home game, so both teams need to make as much noise as they can to not give advantage to other team. 2K sounds will just be addition to that just to make sure its not total silence at all times.

Will this sound effects be bias too?
Let us say it should be Lakers Home. Will those claps and screams be operated only whenever a Laker shoots the ball?
Do we have a credible link to read about this?
Been searching on google but I can't find it.

I am thinking more about their training.
Are they being trained now to minimize the handshakes, hand taps whenever they shoot the ball, or an assist was made, spitting, huddle, distancing at the bench, and if you fall no one will help you?
Those small things which they do will be gone. Right?

Oh! when they fight, they cannot do that head to head almost kissing thing which is a specialty of KD.  Grin
3629  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 NBA Season on: June 18, 2020, 04:37:39 PM
I think there was talks about a deal between NBA and NBA2K so that they would put 2K crowd noises in the arena as well. I am sure it wouldn't be remotely the same because hearing it right near you versus hearing it from the big speakers will be hugely different but it is not going to be something totally irrelevant. 2K got those sounds from the real games themselves, it is real sounds from real fans in real games so it is not totally different from the real thing.
For real? It would be awkward for the players.
I think they would rather play like a streetball kind of game. Fans are your teammates.

The biggest difference is the sounds will be similar, so when you dunk 10 times in a game you will hear the same cheer at least 2-3 times and when you shoot threes 20 times as a team you will hear the same cheer at least 5-6 times. That could really get into your head and make you play more emotionless which could help some players but hurt some others.

Yeah, it's too fake. Let's see how they will react in this when the game starts.
Are we going to see laughs on the bench?  Grin Grin
3630  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Blockchain gambling are ushering in new development opportunities? on: June 18, 2020, 03:23:49 PM
I agree with you but I really think physical casinos are going to evolve in the coming years. You'll have QR-codes on every slot machines that will allow you to check the provably fairness of the game, or even a button for displaying those informations on a small screen.
If the physical casino can evolve their business using the technologies, that will give the benefits for them as they will not just to see the old gambler will visit on their place. They will also see the young gambler who opens the mind with the new technology. That can make their business grow than the other casino place, and maybe they can get more members who join with them.

Statistic is clear here, more people is interested in online gambling than offline. That affects physical casinos,
and they need to find a way to attract people somehow, or they will lost this race.
And I think this is a race for users, both physical and online casinos are offering all kinds of promotions
just to be thier user. I give advantage to online crypto-gambling, as I am using that. And I will not change my
mind, and younger people enjoy more in online activites in general, so they will choose online over physical
casinos.
Now, it is being practical since we don't want to be infected by the virus.
But look, there is so much fun when you are in a physical gambling casino.

Statistic as you say it. That is now and perhaps online gambling might really win because it can easily be accessed even by kids nowadays unlike with casinos that have an age restriction.
I still prefer the fun of having the physical talk with people. I am not that old but socializing is really different. It is not just about gambling all the way, friendship inside happens too.
3631  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 NBA Season on: June 18, 2020, 01:19:14 PM
As you can see, they use stuffed toys in replacement for audience for the time being. Kind of weird though  Grin but it is better than leaving those thousand of seats empty  Tongue. I can't imagine Adam Silver would approve this idea  Cheesy.

Haha, a good solution indeed.  Grin
It doesn't feel right if you are either watching or playing live without people around.
At least now all the seats are really taken.
How much did they pay? Those sideline seats might be expensive.  Cheesy

Anyway, I'm looking forward for a more positive update regarding the resumption of the NBA.

There's no definite date yet, right?
It's July 31 but they changed it to July 30.  Cheesy

Does the number of registered users in Binance tell how many people will buy bitcoin?
I don't think so. They could just be lurking around or they possibly trading altcoins.
How do you define Binance?
An exchange with a lot of altcoins registered. Right?
The article looks like they are just connecting dots.

3633  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 NBA Season on: June 18, 2020, 09:53:54 AM
I think I will pass that, reading article was enough. But I would appreciate some tl;dr version, if anyone can bother Cheesy

What I didn't see in that article is whether families will join the players in the quarantine, or not? I know that rumor was that families will be with the players, i just don't know what was the final decision regarding that. I sure hope they gave up on that idea, for their own safety.

Same thought.
Better if they just do it like playing NBA2k20 with audience settings turned "off".  Grin

I don't know about players though. If their families will be joining them and cannot even watch them live then there is no point.
Let them stay at home.
I know they want even just a little amount of fans on the sideline for more authorities with their dunks and threes.  Cheesy
But, it's better to be safe at this time first.
3634  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Neo can be future crypto rival on: June 18, 2020, 09:11:32 AM
First, they will support their money and it is the digitalized Yuan.
I doubt they would want another name for it to be called.
It's traditional, so it must not be changed.

NEO.
An option. That is the only chance they will support this.
They would like their name written on it when it becomes valuable and Yuan should be it.
3635  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 NBA Season on: June 18, 2020, 04:01:48 AM

They are definitely hit financially but not enough to be incapable of paying 3 million dollars for hotel expenses. NBA itself could pay those if they want to with all the sales they get and all the licenses and tv rights and so forth. However do not forget that team owners are not just doing this as a job, they also usually have other jobs they make money as well and 3 million dollars for a person who owns a team that worths over a billion dollars is usually nothing, not even increase of the teams value which would be tenfold each season at least. So at the end of the day they will definitely pay it up easily without a problem, hell having 8 games would cover that 3 million dollars alone with tv rights alone even if no fans and no merchandise sales.

I do believe in that.
I am just saying they are not innocent with the invisible enemy.
They are also hit by it but they can recover which is why they want to start the season again to gain all the loss that was done by the pandemic.

Anyway.
Anyone up to a long reading for 113 health and safety documents?  Grin  Grin  Grin

Biometric ring
Another high-tech tool the league is making available to players is a biometric ring, which can record vital signs such as heart rate, respiratory rate and body temperature. In theory, that data could help alert teams if a player is at risk to contract COVID-19, or could already have it.
More expense.
3636  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 NBA Season on: June 17, 2020, 03:26:33 PM
He's denying the allegations. I don't mind if it's true or not.

But this is now the hard part starts for the league. The division for the decision of their players will start to crumble but at the end of the day, they have to understand that it's the league that has to be followed, not them following themselves.
It matters if you are playing in the same team while you have a different belief.
Racism and then pandemic issue.
It just keeps on getting worse.
These players should start with something.
Showcase unity using their career in hoops and bring people together once again in a peaceful manner.

We as fans, we need that in this very bad days of our lives.
We need hope and somehow they might provide it if we see them playing.
With precautions because we all want them safe too.

$263 per head per night?
Or will they occupy a room as much as possible? Will they put bunker beds?  Grin Grin

I think that such amounts are not very worrying for NBA teams. Let's count: 100 people, 100 days x $ 263 = $2.63M. It's not even a monthly salary for the best players. Let us remember that during the normal season teams also use hotel services. And there are also travels. A flight from one end of the US to the other costs definitely much more than a hotel. So its not a big deal.
Yes they may not worry about it if this is a normal season.
But no, they are also hit financially.
3637  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Some of the benefits of Bitcoin ... on: June 17, 2020, 02:33:44 PM
Some of the benefits of Bitcoin ... Smiley Smiley

The reason why Bitcoin is becoming so popular all over the world is that it offers users many times more benefits than the currencies that are currently in circulation. For example, I can use Bitcoin to buy many things online. I enjoy many benefits by paying bitcoin.
If I may ask, what store?

Nowadays it is becoming known as the ideal currency. It is also suitable for those living in privacy-conscious or underdeveloped financial infrastructure.
Bitcoin Wallet protects the privacy of transactions.
Its advantage rate is increasing with a war transfer using conventional currency.
Forgive me if there is anything wrong with this writing.
I don't think that is how they think about bitcoin.
1. It is just a store of value.
2. An investment.
3. A fast way to make money.
I think that is the truth about why it is popular.
Because of the volatility of it, they are trying to take the risk of making more USD and not more bitcoin.

Its good to see that you follow the advice in Yatsan's Thread to make your own gambling site investment because at least we can follow your flow and what is happening in the invesment.

And also better that we have more basis on whats happening specially like me that looking  to try similar way but i don't know how and when to start.

will be looking forward for your updates as i will bookmark this thread like what i did in Yatsan's.

Thanks for this and Wish you luck.

I think it's better to start now.  Wink
It's growing and it's better early. Also, there will be a possibility of pulling more players as we do this.

Thanks, guys for the answers.
It's better asking, rather than just blindly guessing everything.
The best part is we could help each other here by sharing more information.

The dilution part, yeah, I just realized that as I look at every information.
We can freely go in and out for now without fees.

I do agree with your conclusion but there are also altcoins that are good for holding a long time.
I have been a supporter of a certain coin for years now and I never regret keeping it.
Yeah, there are downs but that is part of the market.
