I believe the spam problem comes from the non-English speakers who post outside of their local boards. Why do they do it ? Because that's what BMs ask them to do. In order to get rewards for signature campaigns, a certain amount of posts per week is required... and most of them (if not all of them) have to be done outside of local boards.
If you change that rule in bounty campaigns, I'm pretty sure you won't see those broken English posts or useless posts like "good project sir" anymore. Signature campaigns don't reject posting in certain boards, they just don't pay for it. I don't think you can require a company to pay for advertising that doesn't work for them. My signature for instance doesn't pay for posts on a few boards, that doesn't stop me from posting there. Yes but YOU speak English. Most spammers do spam because there is no other way for them. Who decides of the rules for a campaign ? I see most managers always have the same criterias for the campaigns they run so I think they're the ones who decide, companies just hire them because of their reputation and then they let them do things their own way. If you think about it, I'm sure that many people chose their signature because of that specific rule, so that they don't have to post outside of their local boards. That's the case in the French section where almost everyone wears the same signature. Hence, there are many projects we don't hear about there. If you change that rule, I believe there will be less spamming in the whole forum and projects will also benefit from it. The fact is you can't really get rid of the whole "signature system", you have to find a way to manipulate it in order to get a cleaner forum. I think this could be a good start.

I'll repost what I said in another thread. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=4480507.msg40516875#msg40516875I believe the spam problem comes from the non-English speakers who post outside of their local boards. Let them do their "thing" in local boards, the rest of the forum will be much cleaner. And that won't hurt the projects. Most of them are unknown to local communities because of that rule.

https://www.newsbtc.com/2018/06/20/report-tether-does-have-enough-dollar-reserves-to-back-all-usdt-in-circulation/A Washington-based law firm said today that the cryptocurrency Tether (USDT), which as its name suggests is pegged to the value of the U.S. dollar, holds enough U.S. dollar reserves to back all of its coins in circulation. The report, which was authored by Freeh, Sporkin & Sullivan LLP (a firm co-founded by former FBI director Louis J. Freeh) is welcome news for the Tether community, as in the past critics have raised concerns over whether it actually does hold $1 in reserve for every Tether token in circulation, according to Reuters.
To reach their conclusions, FSS said that it conducted ‘comprehensive examinations and telephone interviews of key personnel at Tether and its banks.’ The firm also reviewed account statements provided by the banks, which indicated that the company had approximately $2.55 billion in its accounts on June 1. But... Hinting at potential regulatory concerns, FSS also clarified that the report was not a full audit of Tether, and a review of the numbers was as far to say:
“FSS did not, as part of the Engagement, arrive at any conclusions as to Tether’s compliance with applicable laws and regulations in any jurisdiction.”
This clarification is important considering that FSS co-founder Eugene Sullivan is an advisory board member of one of Tether’s banks, according to the report.

Seriously ! Is it too much to ask that you update the op ? I believe in your project (otherwise I wouldn't have spent so many weeks doing your campaign) and I'm willing to keep promoting it but you really gotta make an effort with your communication, this is ridiculous !

I think something could be done with the way signature campaigns are handled. In most of them, you can only post a certain number of times in local boards. That forces non-English speakers to go elsewhere and unfortunately post unreadable or useless stuff in order to reach their weekly minimum. If they could make all their posts in local boards, that wouldn't happen and we wouldn't have to read them.
And it wouldn't be such a bad thing for projects. As an example, in the French section most people chose a signature that doesn't require them to post elsewhere. As a consequence, everybody has the same signature and many other projects stay unknown to the community.
If BMs could change the way they do things, I believe it could benefit the projects (more exposure) and the forum as well.

Reading through meta, I found out about this one. Pizza for bitcoins?Of course, I had heard the story but I didn't know it was originally from here. I'll pay 10,000 bitcoins for a couple of pizzas.. like maybe 2 large ones so I have some left over for the next day. I like having left over pizza to nibble on later. You can make the pizza yourself and bring it to my house or order it for me from a delivery place, but what I'm aiming for is getting food delivered in exchange for bitcoins where I don't have to order or prepare it myself, kind of like ordering a 'breakfast platter' at a hotel or something, they just bring you something to eat and you're happy!
I like things like onions, peppers, sausage, mushrooms, tomatoes, pepperoni, etc.. just standard stuff no weird fish topping or anything like that. I also like regular cheese pizzas which may be cheaper to prepare or otherwise acquire.
If you're interested please let me know and we can work out a deal.
Thanks, Laszlo

I like #5. If it works and people really use it, there might be no need for #6 as I think more merits will be given because of it. You won't have to browse through so many threads (and posts) in order to find good stuff. Quality will be easier to detect.
