I'll just sell some Bitcoin when the price goes down again and buy when it goes up.
There's no reason for me to just hold them without earning some extra Bitcoin with the capital.
3642  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Can we create a one pager bitcoin buying site? on: March 02, 2017, 08:04:41 PM
In Belgium and The Netherlands, there's already such a site that does this, it's also possible to sell your Bitcoins. You don't even have to make an account etc.
For smaller amounts, you don't have to provide verification and for larger amounts, verification with your mobile phone is instant.

3643  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What can i do with Bitcoin? on: March 02, 2017, 04:34:55 PM
one must not take huge exposure to bitcoins, just with one decision the whole cards can crumble.  there can be huge bubble bursts any moments. its like gambling where you never make rather loosing everything..............................................
What does this even mean? Giving Bitcoin lots of exposure is one of the best things for Bitcoin, how would it crumble from that?
Certainly, a bubble is always possible, but even when it pops, the prices will rise again. We've seen this a number of times now.
3644  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Peter Schiff being an idiot on national television on: March 02, 2017, 04:22:28 PM
I wonder if he would adjust his stance after, say, 5 years when the prices have gone up even more.
And does he think all crypto-currencies are the same as Bitcoin? Some altcoins have even more real-world applications than Bitcoin (Ethereum, GRID, etc.), so I fail to see where he's coming from when he says that Bitcoin has no value...
3645  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are dice sites reliable? on: March 02, 2017, 04:10:59 PM
Yeah, dice sites are reliable. But as you asking that is it programming? So i answer is no, it is not fake but only less chances are here to win in dice, because it is pure luck game, even i know mostly gambler think that some strategy work on dice, but i don't think so, If you have luck than you mustily win but if you have no luck than no chance to win in dice.
That is just wrong, not every dice site is reliable, there are and have been quite a few scam sites that don't pay out their players.
Most established dice sites are reliable to play on but not every single one.

Also another person (justdimin ) above you mentioned this already, you might want to read the rest of the posts before making statements like this.
3646  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: We Have A Bitcoin City! Soon We Will Have Bitcoin Country! on: February 28, 2017, 06:00:25 PM
Arnhem world's most Bitcoin friendly  city located in Netherlands, you can buy everything with bitcoin in it.

Arnhem Bitcoinstad" ('Bitcoin City') as they call it, came into existence when three Bitcoin enthusiasts decided they wanted to be able to spend bitcoins in their own town. They went on a mission to convince local bars and restaurant owners to accept bitcoin payments. At the opening at May 28th 2014, 15 places accepted bitcoins. Since then, more and more shop owners joined them so you can buy a greater diversity of products and pay with Bitcoin in Arnhem.

What we will have next, Bitcoin Country?
What other Bitcoin friendly places you would recommend?
This is very enthusiastic news! who is behind all this and how it happened? was it a result of government initiative or was it just a community efforts? I would like to see how it worked so that other cities can follow the suit.
For you, who wondering how it started? Whos behind this? Another user had shared the link https://www.arnhembitcoinstad.nl/
It was started when 3 bitcoiners want to spend Bitcoin as easy as spend fiat money.
"Arnhem Bitcoinstad" ('Bitcoin City') as they call it, came into existence when three Bitcoin enthusiasts decided they wanted to be able to spend bitcoins in their own town.
An amazing effort and work through years, right?
Moreover, bitcoiners offered special discounts to pay using bitcoin.

When paying with bitcoins: 10% discount on all sandwiches and drinks
Mo Lon: Kortestraat 25

10% discount on wine tasting events! Next to that: if you can show your studentcard you'll also get 10% discount on wines in the store if you pay with Bitcoin!
Robbers en Van den Hoogen: Velperweg 23

When paying with bitcoins: Second Whopper for free! (excl. bacon and cheese)
Burger King: Weverstraat 4

What's most amazing is that they've achieved this with only 3 people. The idea itself is also very easy for other people to copy, so imagine what would happen if other people try to convince stores in other cities around the world.
Initiatives like this should really be publicized more around the Bitcoin community.

It's also neat that they've included usage statistics on their website, but it also shows that Bitcoin isn't that popular as a payment system, so far less than €10.000 revenue in total per month.

3647  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: LocalBitcoin incoming transaction pending for more than 36 hours on: February 24, 2017, 01:45:44 PM
transaction fees and transaction confirmation time is really a headache for bitcoin user now a days . if this cont then bitcoin might  loss its popularity because even by spending huge transaction fee we have to wait in a large que for transctions confirmation.

I don't think that Bitcoin will lose its popularity because of slow transaction confirmations. If the price is over $1,000 per coin then Bitcoin has a chance to survive without it being used like how people plan the coin to do.

Well there is a good chunk of the community that uses bitcoin for micro-transactions since mining fees were low and transactions were fast, not the case nowadays
Do keep in mind that the people who are using Bitcoin for micro transactions are generally not the people who are pushing the price up.
Not making any kind of statement here, I'd like the transaction fees lower...

Just saying that it doesn't seem to deter people from buying into Bitcoin.
3648  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Losing investment on Gambling sites on: February 24, 2017, 01:42:38 PM
Betking.io has a 1 btc minimum investment.

I like safedice.com and bitdice.me to invest some of my coins Smiley
No, betking already lowered the min investment to 0.01 btc.
Does anyone know gambling sites where you can invest cause I don't know the names?
If you want invest using alt coins, you must add justdice in your list too. They are use clam as invesment on there

Yeah right. Just dice is a good place for investing on altcoin. But i suggest also vslice because they are now developing many ethereum based gambling that will attract more players. The coin right now is under development but you join on their slack. You will know that their developer has a lot of plan for development in their project and investing really a good shot
I would also recommend Crypto-Games for Bitcoin and Altcoin investments.
They have really good bankroll management from investors point of view, because they limit the max win amount, so sudden losses due to varience are minimal.
3649  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Looking for cooperation with a charity organization that accepts BTC on: February 24, 2017, 01:37:52 PM
I'm not sure if this is what you're looking for, but I've found a list of orgs that accept Bitcoin donations.
Most are Open Source projects, so that might not really connect with the general public, but I'll share them anyway.

3650  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Invest 10k - 20k on: February 24, 2017, 01:32:41 PM
I would personally be inclined to buy a huge amount, even at current prices. Let's see if this prediction comes true, I'd say that within one month, we'll see an all time high of around 1300 dollars at least and I don't think it will drop below $1000.

I've had good experiences with Kraken and Poloniex, so those are the only exchanges I would recommend.
3651  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: do you like slot games ? on: February 24, 2017, 01:24:58 PM
Slot games is bad games. I guess
I dont like it, too hard to win in this games and need 100% on luck.

Slot machine is really depend on luck as you have no control over the outcome. So you are either the lucky one who happen to be selected by the machine or you will be the unlucky one where no matter how much you spin, you will end up getting nothing. Slot machine also has one of the highest house edge.
That depends, you also have slots with reasonably low house edges, if you play in a provably fair casino.
Plus, some slots have a progressive jackpot worth tens of thousands of dollars, just that fact alone make some slots worth it to play.
3652  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I have stopped introducing bitcoin to others! on: February 24, 2017, 01:21:49 PM
I hate telling new people "bitcoin is an investment and you are gonna make profit from price rise", that is just silly.
Why this is silly point Huh
It is true that if you just keep holding bitcoin without having close eye on market activity than you will actually loss rather than making any profit out of it. So thinking bitcoin as passive way of earning profit is the wrong sentiment.

I disagree with you, the transaction fees are getting higher and it is making Bitcoin unpopular especially to the yet to be told and the newbies. I think he made a brilliant point that it's silly to pay so much for a new technology while my conventional credit card charges nothing to perform a similar transaction.

It may sound "silly" now.. but in 5 to 10 years.. when financial system has collapsed (and this definetly will happen),
the use and existence of Bitcoin will be loved.
The use and existence of Bitcoin will be loved by some people, but certainly not all of them.
Let's face it, a big part of the general population will just undergo another crisis without Bitcoin.

Some will turn to gold or other commodities, but to the average Joe, Bitcoin is just not as understandable as the latter.
3653  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Daily use of bitcoin? on: February 24, 2017, 11:33:59 AM
Bitcoin shouldn't be used daily for now till the payment platform gets faster processing. Bitcoin withdrawals that convert to another currency is how most people are making the daily spending possible.
I don't know if that's a good way to go about it. Maybe the solution would come faster if there's a little more pressure.
I'm personally not really opposed to these spamming attacks, if that means more miners realise that accepting segwit is the way to go.
3654  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin adoption in Africa: Bitcoin solving problems in the country on: February 24, 2017, 11:30:25 AM
If Bitcoin is able to work for Africa in resolving their difficult economies and corruption it should sure be able to go the same for other poor countries outside Africa. I strongly believe the global adoption of Bitcoin is on course and it will reach every nook and cranny of this world.
That is correct. We can not deny the benefits of Bitcoin and it is precise that Bitcoin will help many poor countries. However, in some cases, Bitcoin is hardly used in these areas because most of the people do not have advance technologies like we do. I am scared that they do not even have a smartphone to transfer Bitcoin from this place to another place. I think time is the only cure for this issue. We can not do anything to help them unless they have a good equipment and technology
The smartphone isn't the issue, the internet is. What good would a smartphone do if you don't have any internet or at best a spotty internet connection?
I think it's more important that some countries in Arfica get some decent internet infrastructure there.

I dunno, maybe some free hotspots scattered around rural areas, I'm sure that in the grand scheme of things, it wouldn't be too expensive.
3655  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why i think we should reduce the block size on: February 24, 2017, 09:42:15 AM
I am serious and challenge you to prove (this means i want to see some proof not speculation) me wrong. Bitcoin price is at an ATH, so are unconfirmed Transactions and the fees. Everybody is talking about scaling up while the number suggest we should scale down. Nobody uses Bitcoin as a currency to buy stuff, everybody is holding and in for a profit, so the fees do not matter. Let us maximize the profit by setting the blocksize to 0.5 MB.
I agree. There is only a small percentage of Bitcoin users use it as a currency. The rest, sadly, only use it for profit such as trading, gambling, HYIP, stupid ponzi. And it will take us a lot of time for bitcoin become a truth currency. However, as a Bitcoin enthusiast, I am using it everywhere I can and most of the time, I purchase game from Steam and sell them with a good prices
People using it for trading and gambling doesn't mean it's not a currency, I'd say that even proves that people see it as currency, especially in the case of gambling.

Currency = something that is used as a medium of exchange; money.
3656  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Have you ever bought games from Steam using Bitcoin? If so, for how much? on: February 24, 2017, 09:34:25 AM
Buying Steam game with bitcoin is the most effective way to support Bitcoin and make it more popular to other people. I have bought many steam game by bitcoin and it is very convenient. However, the prices are not very cool. Bitcoin is more valuable than other kinds of payment but we have to pay the same price like them. For example, Bitcoin is worth +5%-10% preev in PayPal but in steam, the price of game in Bitcoin and Paypal are equal.
Aren't they charging the same prices with all payment methods? I don't see why they would need to lower the prices for purchases with Bitcoin.
I know that some companies do that, but just don't see it as a requirement.
3657  Economy / Trading Discussion / Anyone ever use Bitsquare to trade? What was your experience? on: February 24, 2017, 09:31:51 AM
The title pretty much says it.
Looking for people to share their experiences using Bitsquare, the decentralised exchange.

I'm seeing some volume for certain coins and currencies, but nothing compared to more established exchanges.
3658  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Giving up gambling is not easy on: February 24, 2017, 08:44:01 AM
Feeling my worst when gambling is lost when I want to earn back the money was lost in the previous games. I told myself that to control myself but I did not do. I lose, I want to earn back the money lost should have bet more and the still losing. But I still bet higher and the result is I lost both the car and telephone. At that time I was depressed a lot, but I was still lucky because there beside is my wife, she helped me a lot. Now I still gamble, but I just see it as a form of entertainment fun. I recommend should not charm gambling otherwise the consequences will be very big, you can lose everything.
Just remember that it's very hard for someone who's been addicted to just keep gambling, even if you do manage to do it 'for entertainment' at this time.
You could end up on a slippery slope back to addiction.

Not saying everybody is like that, everyone's got a different personality, but addicts just tend to exhibit that kind of behavior in general.

3660  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are There Any Regulations for Bitcoin Casinos? on: February 24, 2017, 08:35:34 AM
Are there any countries at all that see Bitcoin as an actual currency?
If so, it would probably be regulated there, or not?

I'd say most Bitcoin casino's are in a gray zone.
